Within each Operation are various Bureaus that house divisions relevant to their specific functions. This organization structure is designed to better delegate the department's resources, so that every aspect is covered thoroughly and efficiently. The Administration Bureau is directly responsible for handling all matters revolving around department personnel. Discussions relating to positional advancement, disciplinary action, and relations with the public all happen within this bureau and its subsequent divisions. The Training and Support Bureau is responsible for the department's recruitment drives, training and certifying prospective employees, and training current department personnel so they are always prepared for their day-to-day duties. The Emergency Services Bureau oversees the prehospital care provided by firefighter/EMTs and firefighter/paramedics, who respond to medical calls and transport patients to area hospitals each day. The Operations Bureau is responsible for maintaining all relevant Fire Stations, as well as deploying specialized rescue and firefighting tactics. (( It should be noted this list only represents divisions where players actively roleplay. Realistically, the entire LAFD structure that we have used as a base would exist within the LSFD, but we cannot portray the entirety of that structure with the number of players involved. )) Administration Bureau: Professional Standards Division Human Resources Division Employee Relations Division Training and Support Bureau: Firefighter Recruitment Section Recruit Services Section In-Service Training Section Emergency Services Bureau: Tactical Emergency Medical Support (TEMS) Unit Air Operations Unit Paramedic Training Unit Operations Bureau: Fire Station 7 Fire Station 11 Urban Search and Rescue (( The current list of Bureaus and Divisions represent what we as a Faction roleplay around, though some may not be implemented during the beginning of the RageMP server to allow us to focus on the Faction's basic structure. This is subject to change at the discretion of Faction Leadership. )) Ranking Structure Chief Fire Officers Fire Chief The Fire Chief is considered the General Manager of the department, and is responsible for overseeing development and overall operation. The main duties of the Fire Chief include: serving as the figurehead of the department at media and general events; managing the department's personnel up to Deputy Chief in accordance with department policy and public service regulations; and the development and oversight of department policy, procedures, and expectations. Deputy Chief The Deputy Chief is considered the Assistant General Manager of the department, mostly responsible for assisting the Fire Chief with the administration of the department. The main duties of the Fire Deputy Chief include: assisting the Fire Chief with the administration of the department; overseeing the department's personnel up to Fire Assistant Chief; ensuring departmental policies, procedures, expectations, and public service regulations are upheld; and assuming command of the Fire Department with full authority in the absence of the Fire Chief. Assistant Chief The Fire Assistant Chief plays an important part in the administration of the department, overseeing all Stations, Fire Battalion Chiefs and running one of the Operations. The main duties of the Fire Assistant Chief include: overseeing the department's personnel up to Fire Battalion Chief; ensuring department policy, procedure, expectations, and public service regulations are upheld; handling all requests within their assigned Operation; finalizing promotions when necessary; and liaising with other departments and teams in situations that warrant such liaison. Fire Officers Battalion Chief Battalion Chiefs have a more direct line of communication with department employees, overseeing Stations within his or her Battalion. Fire Battalion Chiefs are responsible for personnel management and other administrative affairs. They are mostly responsible for personnel-related administrative affairs. Captain II Captain IIs are mostly responsible for interacting with his or her relative station personnel in the field, informing them on his or her progress, and monitoring how well he or she performs. Fire Captain IIs are also tasked with handling personnel-related administrative affairs within his or her Station, alongside of the Station Battalion. Captain I Fire Captain Is are mostly responsible for interacting with his or her relative station personnel in the field, responding to calls with them, informing them on his or her progress, and monitoring how well he or she performs. Fire Captain Is are also tasked with handling personnel-related administrative affairs within their station, alongside of the Station Battalion and the Station Captain. Firefighter-Paramedics Engineer Engineer is the department's Field Training Officer II role, and is the most senior non-commissioned position a member can achieve within the department, with its main focus being towards training and testing new members. Engineers actively assist, train and observe newer department employees, including answering any questions they may have. They demonstrate a proactive stance on both firefighting and medical calls equally. They also help their Station Captains in overseeing the Field Training Program. Firefighter III Firefighter III is the department's Field Training Officer I role, with its main responsibility being the training and testing of new members. Firefighter IIIs actively assist, train and observe newer department employees, including answering any questions they may have. They demonstrate a proactive stance on both firefighting and medical calls equally. Firefighter II Firefighter II is the most common and essential position of the department, with its high level of focus on field work, held by all fire-sworn personnel who have passed the Field Training Program, with the exception of a Field Training Officer and above. Their main duties include: responding to medical and firefighting calls as needed; acting as role-models to less experienced members of the department, and participating in household chores around their assigned station. Firefighter-EMTs Firefighter I Firefighter I is the lowest-grade fire-sworn position of the department, with the main goal of gaining knowledge and experience through practical duties alongside seasoned Firefighters. Their main duties include: working towards the completion of the Field Training Program, gaining and demonstrating knowledge and improvement through actions in practice, and responding to medical and fire scenes with other members of the department. Firefighter Reserve Firefighter Reserve is the department's part-time position for employees who are unable to dedicate to a full shift. Their main duties include: responding to medical and firefighting calls as needed, and participating in household chores around their assigned station.   2. Hello All, Today I am here to show you how I edit my roleplay screenshots and hopefully, this will help those who are looking to edit their own via photoshop. So, let's get started 😊 1- To begin with, you have to figure out what layout you like the best. I personally don't like the 800x600 method so I edit my screenshots as 1920x700, which grants me more interesting angles. To say the least, this is completely up to you at the end of the day, so, pick the size you like, and let's jump on to the next step. 2- Once you have your project created, it is time to figure out what works best for the scene you're trying to showcase, so, there are three things I usually do: Usage of a single screenshot with text, Junction of two or more screenshots and text, Screenshot without any text. 3- Now it's time for you to drag your screenshots into your photoshop project and you can do that by simply dragging the picture into the application. You have your screenshot loaded in, so, it's now when you decide whether you want it to be a screenshot without or with text, or the junction I have mentioned previously. For showcase purposes, I will expand into the last one since the others are pretty standard and easy to go along with. 4- Now that you have both of your screenshots set, you want to angle them in a way that will allow you to fade one into the other, granting you better angles and interesting effects that will further improve the way they are displayed. As you can see I have decided to drag the second screenshot more towards the middle and now it's time that you start messing around with them. The first step is always to rasterize the screenshots you imported so you have all available options to use and you can do that by right-clicking both screenshots and pressing the "rasterize layer". Both of your screenshots are now rasterized so that means you can use a bunch of new features and today we'll get through a few that I personally like and use. If you want the fade effect when working with two or more screenshots all I have to do is create a layer mask for the screenshot on top. Let me show you: As you can see above, there's a white layer that has been created. 5- Now it comes the easy part. All you have to do is go through the menu on your left and pick the "Gradient Tool". Please keep in mind that you must have your layer selected so it works the way it is supposed to. Upon doing so you will want to press and drag your mouse to one side or the other to find out the best angle. You should see your screenshot fading into the other as if they were part of the same scenario. Check below: This is what it will look like after you're done with the steps above. 6- Now that you have your screenshots set, it's time for you to import your roleplay text and use the correct color hexacodes to match the in-game ones. I will provide you with the codes at the end of this thread. On top of that and if you like, you can add a stroke around the screenshot, I'll leave that for you to decide. 7- For the text, all you have to do is select the text box tool and click anywhere on your project to get started. You can copy and paste from your logs and even amend any typos you had at the time so you have the cleanest version possible. Once that has been done you can move the text box anywhere you would like and apply the colors to match what's being showcased. You will notice that the text seems too soft and sometimes even gets mixed with the background colors, so, what I usually do is adding a stroke to the text as well, making it seem thicker. To do that you just have to go through the panel on the right, choose the text layer and right-click to access "Blending Options". Once that menu is open, follow the settings I will show below: All you have got to do next is export your screenshot and post it wherever you like! ############################## As promised, here goes the color codes:

The character creation server remains locked for our Patreon supporters until the 20th of February, when it becomes available for everyone.   11. I don’t think that it’s too easy or too hard. Players are able to read the rules and answer the questions and I think that’s what the goal of the quiz should be.

  12. Should have seen the discord/mmartin stream that day. There were dudes 100% struggling with it and getting 10 or 15 answers wrong. Honestly I don't think it matters that much, we used to have the questions you had to answer IIRC and half of it was complete bullshit like having to reword rules which was more annoying than hard, and we had plenty of DMers and dudes who could barely roleplay anyway due to people sharing answers/it being available online. I can def see why you'd be concerned though. Story requirements were fine too imo. I don't want to have to write a novel to get on the server, especially if your character is young there really just isn't that much to say that's relevant, the point is making your own story on the server.

I can understand your point of view that it looks rather easy but they do kind of cover the basic stuff that people should be aware of. And I believe the intention of the quiz is to ensure people understand the basics.

While this is feedback that we appreciate, we do not share the same concerns for the quality of those getting into the server, and we have a strong and capable staff team to handle these issues as they arise. The background stories are read and reconciled by Staff manually. If you've passed the test and are approved in your character background story, we can't wait to see you in-game :).

  30. People with minimal roleplay that just do what they have to do without creating or engaging in roleplay done by others. I'm talking about the usual officers who just walk straight to the duty room to ''go on duty'' and then back out to leave in their car without interacting with people in station or civilians that don't take in account of an incident that is happening in public and just shrug it off. Those people are replaceable and don't provide anything whatsoever.

  34. Hi all, As most of you are aware, the Faction Team has been working hard on establishing the core illegal script systems along with guidelines and rules surrounding illegal roleplay. This blog post will provide an update on what the Faction Team has been working on, along with how the illegal roleplay scene will play out when we launch the server. Faction Tier System The Faction Team has re-developed the faction tier system and this will provide factions with specific perks and rewards as they move through the tiers towards official. A lot of brainstorming has gone into this system and is based off issues we encountered during the SA-MP server. Unofficial (eligible to apply for any scheme after 1 month of being open) Verified (attained after being open for 3 months and having a successful application) Official (determined after a minimum of 3 months whilst being Verified) Drug Scheme The Faction Team has decided on taking a completely new approach to the Drug System/Scheme and have suggested that instead of giving drugs directly to the players, we will provide them with both the utilities and ingredients needed to manufacture the drugs. Players can still receive drugs from Faction Team in cases that certain drugs aren't able to be manufactured currently. You may apply to join the Drug Scheme once you have been open for 1 month. Weapon Scheme Unofficial Factions will be able to apply to the Weapon Scheme after 1 month of being open - applicants will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and are not guaranteed admittance into the scheme. The amount of weapons and ammo given is something exclusive to members of the scheme and is based on faction size and status (unofficial, verified or official). The 1 month period will begin from the day the server launches and having a faction thread for more than a month pre-launch doesn't make you eligible. Join a Scheme Pre-Launch In order to have an effective drug and weapon system in place from day 1 on the server. We're looking to introduce some members to these schemes pre-launch. This means you won't have to wait the original month (stated above) but you'll be required to have exceptional illegal roleplay experience and a good-standing history in the community to reserve yourself a spot. Requirements for the pre-launch scheme: Only factions will be able to apply. You must have a minimum of 10 faction members. Must be the leader of the faction that is applying. Must have experience in/around illegal factions. Must have a good standing in the community The Weapon & Drug Scheme will be open for applications from the time of this blog post (22nd January 2022).
