  1. I'm currently working on adding objects for the furniture system and I'm trying to be as descriptive as I can with the furniture names. Sometimes there's no avoiding "White Chair 3" for the sake of time and lack of other descriptive features but overall the names should be pretty clear as to what the object is going to be. Some of the current categories still need reworked but I think overall you guys will really like what we have. As for the preview function you mentioned if you check out the furniture system video, that's one of the coolest features about it.

  2. OK, let me start off by saying - there's no "fresh off the boat" type shit happening in 2022. It's not happening anymore with Russian/other CIS countries' immigrants moving to US. So please, don't roleplay that you got into States in a shipping container. There's two options on how to get into US, being Russian: 1) The only legal way is by getting a green card. I'm sure most of you, if not everybody, knows how it works - you apply in 2022, you get a chance to get a green card in 2023. Usually you move to US, when you're 100% sure you'll get a job there - you either have work experience in Russia and want to pursuit international career or you're fresh from the college and you hate Russian government, that's why you want to move (most of young generation hates Russian government these days). So you apply, send them all the papers and get a chance to move, basically. Even though USA stopped giving out visas to Russians, afaik, we can ignore this fact for the sake of RP. 2) Illegal immigration. There's a new trend throughout CIS countries on how to get to USA. People usually buy tours to Mexico, then they move to borderline towns next to USA, find a cheap car with US numberplates and try their luck by going through the border. There's whole forums with people discussing how to do it and how to look american as possible. Why does it work for some of them? Paper check control is located behind the border, on US territory. So if people're lucky to cross the border before they reach the paper check stop, they'll just pull up on the officer, show them their russian passports and ask for political refuge. It might not work, because the car could be checked way before immigrants reach the border and people will be sent back, so some people try their luck for 4-6 times before they eventually get lucky. Usually they have all the papers from Russia that confirms they're refugees (fake or real). It usually costs $10000 a family. Those immigrants usually land up in US jail for a few days, then they get released till the court. Their russian passports get taken and exchanged for some papers without any picture on it (I-94 paper for those who's curious). So yeah, you can't find a proper job or rent a proper house with a document like that. So they end up searching for some shitty house/apartment, that'd be overpriced (because they're immigrants and people will double charge them). And yeah, these people will look for any sort of work to feed their families. It's a risky move, that's not worth the risk, unless you really need/want to get into USA for whatever reason. So because they can't find a proper job, they're searching for russian employees, who'd agree to pay them for any sort of work (and, of course, lowball them). Their children will be immigrants too, even if they're born in USA - they won't have a chance to get US citizenship, because their parents have no documents on them - only if they get married to US citizen. So yeah, I'm not a guide writer, I'm just saying how it works nowadays. So the best decision would be to roleplay russian-american, who was born in US. But you could try your luck and RP illegal immigrant, but do that on your own risk - please, make sure you think of your character's background and don't drive sports cars and buy apartments, simply because it'd look stupid for an immigrant. Thank you. If you have any questions regarding that sort of RP - shoot me a PM.

  3. I think currently GTAW finds itself in the shoes LSRP were once in. By that I mean that they have a monopoly over the genre simply because there is no alternative, similarly to our community on SA:MP. Players stuck around because there was nowhere else to go. On GTAW what you've got is a server and community tailored around legal roleplayers, ran by legal roleplayers and heavily influenced by legal roleplayers. One sticking point that comes up time and time again is their IFM's lack of engagement, transparency and knowledge and this is the driving force behind the bulk of our roleplayers leaving their server. Now, a lot of people use this a basis to promote their roleplay but the fact of the matter is that it's the truth, their lack of regard for their illegal community is what will offer LSRP a way in. Over the course of the last few months it's been more evident than ever and their management's obliviousness to the fact is what adds insult to injury. For this server to hit the ground running what you have to do is capitalize on the shortcomings of the aforementioned server and strike while the iron's hot. Transparency will be a key factor in attracting these players. Deliverance will be what keeps them and the expectations and promises need to be fulfilled in order for this to come to fruition at all. Illegal roleplay shouldn't be prioritized by any means but it should be treated with the same amount of respect as legal roleplay and given the same opportunity of prosperity. Illegal roleplay has always been the foundation of LSRP but what made LSRP so consistent was its honesty, its openness and its lucidity. Transparency was always there one way or another. One look at their faction's forum and you realize that their faction management team are driving people into LSRP's arms and for years it's gone unnoticed and unaddressed because their has been no alternative. You can forget about servers like LCRP making a wave because they're not battled tested like LSRP is and don't have the following LSRP do, coupled with the fact that their management are as corrupt as the day is long. All these make-shift beliefs and idealisms are used to lure people in but it's nothing more than a false pretense and a power grab. In other words, in certain communities if you don't agree with somebody's modus operandi, they will find a way to ban you, silence you or misinterpret you. On LSRP I believe that the number one priority should be to put the power in the player's hands. For this to overtake its competitors and scratch the surface it's got to recognize the flaws of communities that don't work. LSRP is genuinely the last hope for those interested in illegal roleplay. We need to do as much as we can to emphasize that and promote the fact that the community and management are receptive to that or we're back to square one. It's in all of our interests if we're on the same wave length. All old community politics should be disregarded and the slate should be wiped clean. This will only work if we're all on the same page. Make LSRP great again.

  5. Actually, when we talk about the Italian Organized Crime ( Mafia-Like Organizations ), we rarely distinguish between the various types of criminal organizations that populate Italy and that often migrate to other continents safeguarding traditions of the criminal organization they were part of.

The main differences are found in:
Jobs they handle The way they threat petty crime The way they act Where they come from In 2021 have been officially recognized some mafia-like organizations operating both in Southern and Northern Italy with countless imports of drugs and weapons from different continents. What are these recognized criminal organizations? Cosa Nostra ( or Sicilian Mafia ) - Sicily 'Ndrangheta - Calabria Camorra - Campania Sacra Corona Unita - Puglia And other small groups affiliated with these criminal organizations COSA NOSTRA The criminal organization that started the phenomenon commonly referred to as the "mafia" General Info: With the passing years the structure and the organization have been lost, in fact the old marked hierarchy ( Consigliere, Capodecina, Soldier etc.. ) has practically disappeared. The structure of this criminal organization is now homologated to the structure of the other organizations since the criminal organization way of acting has changed radically compared to the last century. Jobs they Handle: drugs trafficking, guns trade, money laundering, protection service, manipulation of the legal system. Petty Crime: Cosa Nostra ( or Sicilian Mafia ) doesn't care about petty crime and the reason is simple. Actually one of their income just comes from protection service that is related to petty crime. Violence: MEDIUM - If the situation is resolvable in a contained or violent way, they will choose the contained way unless they want to teach a lesson. Where they come from: Sicily, Italy. 'NDRANGHETA The most violent mafia-like organization born in Italy General Info: The mafia-like criminal organization commonly called "'Ndrangheta" is not only a simple mafia-like criminal organization. It is the most violent mafia-like organization. It has a precise structure followed and idolized so much that it has never been changed since its inception. Structure: Everything comes to life through families called "ndrine". A set of ndrine is called "local". A local has its boss who has the right to decide if a person has to live or to die, an accountant, and a "crime" that deals with relations with other criminal organizations. The important thing is that there isn't just a "local" but there are several locals scattered all around the place they want to control. Jobs they Handle: drugs trafficking, guns trade, money laundering, protection service, manipulation of the legal system, countless investments on the stock exchange for foreign shares, scams Petty Crime: They do not admit it, therefore they usually repress the perpetrators of petty crime. Violence: HIGH Where they come from: Calabria, Italy CAMORRA One of the most ancient mafia-like criminal organizations in Italy General Info: What does "Camorra" mean? "Camorra [...], in the general meaning of the word, designates much more than the association [...] The word applies to all abuses of force or influence" ( Marc Monnier ). It is one of the most ancient mafia-like criminal organizations in Italy and the second one in terms of violence. Structure: This organization is divided into individual groups called "clans". Each clan differ from each other by type of influence on the territory, organizational structure, economic strength and their way to act. Each clan has a "boss" and each boss can manage up to hundreds of affiliates, depending on the power and structure of each clan. Jobs they Handle: The main activities of the Camorra are drug trafficking, racketeering, counterfeiting and money laundering. Furthermore, it is not unusual for the Camorra clans to infiltrate the politics of their respective areas. Petty Crime: They favor petty crime. Violence: HIGH Where they come from: Campania, Italy While in the past criminal organizations were very well defined, today criminal organizations operate in a totally different way. Today we can even talk about "Criminal Enterprise". The FBI defines a criminal enterprise as a group of individuals with an identified hierarchy, or comparable structure, engaged in significant criminal activity. These organizations often engage in multiple criminal activities and have extensive supporting networks. Various federal criminal statutes specifically define the elements of an enterprise that need to be proven in order to convict individuals or groups of individuals under those statutes. In the States, the RICO statute defines an organization as "any individual, partnership, corporation, association, or other legal entity, and any union or group of individuals associated in fact although not a legal entity." and defines a criminal enterprise as "any group of six or more people, where one of the six occupies a position of organizer, a supervisory position, or any other position of management with respect to the other five, and which generates substantial income or resources, and is engaged in a continuing series of violations". Those associations of individuals operate transnationally for the purpose of obtaining monetary and commercial gains, power, influence, totally or in part by illegal means, while protecting their activities through a pattern of corruption and violence, or while protecting their illegal activities through a transnational organizational structure and the exploitation of transnational commerce or communication mechanisms. Talking about Italian Organized Crime, in the United States the FBI estimates several Mafia groups operating in the United States. More than 3000 members and associates scattered mostly throughout major cities in the Northeast, Midwest, California, and the South. What about their largest presence? The largest Italian Organized Crime presence is estimated around New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey. The major threats posed by these groups are drug trafficking ( heroin and cocaine in particular ) and money laundering. They're often involved in political corruption, illegal gambling, kidnapping, extortion, fraud, counterfeiting, murders, bombings, infiltration of legitimate business and weapons trafficking. Main activities: Drug Trafficking Interstate transportation of stolen property Murder for hire Bribery Sports bribery Fraud Money laundering Obstruction of justice Prostitution Counterfeit goods trafficking Interstate shipment thefts Gambling Extortion What about tattoos? Italian Organized Crime do not use specific tattoos to designate membership with the group, but some factions of the mafia occasionally get tattoos. For example, one common tattoo among the Stidda group is the five green marks in a circle that form a small starr: As you can see it is a small tattoo since secrecy is among the highest values.

  6. Hey all, Today I'm happy to showcase to you guys how far along we've came with our damage system which is just about complete. It's been really fun testing and we can't wait for you guys to hop in game soon and experience it yourself. Check out this video by @Xanakin to see more about it: We really brainstormed how to handle damages and different type of weapons and I think we came out with a pretty solid system. We currently have more than 60 custom inventory weapons implemented and more than 20 different ammo types. Each weapon will have a base damage and a list of compatible ammo and a range of distances it can fire accurately and how far. V's native range for hitting targets is quite large so this was necessary to do. Each ammo type will be configured with a different multiplier. So some types of ammo will be stronger, some will be weaker and so forth. When it comes to deciding how much damage it's time to give, it all comes down to these factors: base damage, ammo multiplier, distance and bodypart. Some bodyparts will increase your damage, and some may lower it. Another part of our system that I'm quite happy about is the attachment system! We've added just about every weapon component that exists on GTA V and that will all be accessible. As demonstrated in the video, you'll be able to have each piece in your inventory and use them on weapons it's compatible with (not all can have attachments)! Here's an example of some of the pistols and their ammo types we've added: (not final!) thead tr {background-color: ActiveCaption; color: CaptionText;} th, td {vertical-align: top; font-family: "Segoe UI", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt; padding: 3px; } table, td {border: 1px solid silver;} table {border-collapse: collapse;} thead .col0 {width: 189px;} thead .col1 {width: 164px;} Weapons Ammo Types LSPD SWAT Staccato P 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP H&K USP 9 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Beretta 92FS 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Glock 19 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP FN 509 MRD-LE 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Glock 17 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Beretta 92X 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Glock 21 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Sig Sauer P320 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Sig Sauer P365X 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Glock 43X 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Kimber Custom LW .45ACP FMJ, .45ACP JHP Colt 1911 Classic .45ACP FMJ, .45ACP JHP Smith & Wesson 4506 .45ACP FMJ, .45ACP JHP Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Thank you all once again for your continued support! 7. Hey everyone, Today we're launching character customization for those who already have an accepted character and are a member of our staff, insider program or an active1 patron. To find out if you're eligible, simply log in on ucp.ls-rp.com and you will see a prompt: After whitelisting your IP, give it a few minutes and you'll be able to connect to server.ls-rp.com using your RageMP client, where you log in with the same details as into the UCP. After that, you'll be prompted to choose a character and customize it. You can customize your character as many times as you want pre-launch. If you don't like where you left off, you can return another day and change it entirely. This is something that won't be available after launch - key features of a character won't be adjustable with a few minor exceptions. We're working on adding more outfits, especially female ones, so you'll be able to go back and change it as well. If you face any issues with the character creator tool, please reach out to our staff team on Discord and they'll be able to guide you, or forward your issue to our development team. RageMp released an update today to a core system we're using in the character creator; so we anticipate there may be some issues. Last thing worth noting is that we've heard you and we'll be increasing the character slots to 2 pre-launch, probably sometime next week. TL;DR Make sure you have an accepted character and are insider, staff, or active patron Whitelist yourself on ucp.ls-rp.com Wait a few minutes for the whitelist to refresh Connect to server.ls-rp.com on RageMP ??? Profit Kind regards, Martin 1 We've chosen for "active" patrons only to provide a new incentive for folks who keep supporting the project even after creating their character. If you aren't an active patron anymore, you will be able to customize your character once, a day or two before launch.

  18. It's very situational, especially with factions (both legal and illegal). I agree with your first point. LEOs going John Wick on an armed 4 door should be forced to CK if they die. And the same should apply vice versa if you're alone and you try to shoot it out with a large group of LEOs by yourself instead of roleplaying the scenario out. In some of the gang factions I was leading we made sure that if we had a long lasting rivalry with another gang which escalated to a war, we would always reach out and try to promote CKs for members from both sides that were willing to CK. It should be something that is mutually agreed on rather than forced. It gives gangs actual "dead homies" in character and opens a lot of different roleplay opportunities. Making it mandatory to CK if someone you have a long lasting beef with kills you would only cause more problems than good roleplay. I've seen and been in enough of these wars to know how sour it can turn when somebody dies to a poorly roleplayed hit or a hit where rules were broken, just so they can win the war and post their death screenshots. I'm pretty sure it's established that if you get executed by your faction you CK. That's why you take their CK permissions before allowing them into your faction.

  23. What real people have. Quirks, flaws, likes, dislikes, biases, things they're good at and things they aren't, even if it may bring you some disadvantage somehow in the future. A fat character can't run away from police for long, someone who can't swim isn't going to swim as well as GTA lets you, and a guy who's afraid of bees may avoid parks. Simple things, but ones that add character to your character.

  24. Who made you in charge of judging wether the question is dumb or not? Unfortunately moving to a new game doesn’t necessarily mean a better and less toxic community. Simpler to manage when it comes to IG commands I guess. But overall good question, myself I didn’t know you could use space in SAMP.

  25. Looking at the only server that promotes heavy text based RP, and staying away from their mistakes doesn't mean you're discrediting it. You know that, right? It's basic common sense to compare to yourself to the only server that exists. I think GTA:W started out with the same intention as LS:RP. It wanted to promote heavy roleplay, and be the LS:RP of GTA V. They failed in doing so because they don't cater to illegal roleplayers, and the server in general is a utopia where crime is frowned upon. It's easy to get carried away on GTA V because of all the cosmetic options, so it's easy for a heavy rp server to turn into Sims 3. We don't want that on LS:RP, and what chuckles is trying to do is highlight that we never want to go down that path. He's highlighting GTA:W's mistakes to make sure that LS:RP doesn't end up like GTA:W. A server that promotes heavy rp, but doesn't do the sort. Highlighting someone's mistakes to better yourself is normal. You shouldn't try to discredit him for it.
