If you are fimiliar with gang-culture on the West-Coast, you should be aware of the fact that a simple baseball hat can get you killed. Gangs are known to wear hats of certain teams to represent where they are from. I will list the hats, their respective "press-ratio" (The higher the press-ratio, the more likely you are to get banged on, or shot for a hat.) I will only be listing MLB Teams, there are way too many hats to cover, tho I might update this in the future. Feel free to add non-factor gangs I left out in the comments below. Atlanta Braves - Asian Boyz, Rollin Forties (Avenues) - Not that bad of a hat to wear, you might get banged on depending what area you are going through, tho mostly safe. 4/10 Boston Red Sox - All Blood gangs, Blocc Crip (BFG), Rollin Sixties (Brynhurst Cartel), Hoovers (Bay-Bayz), Barrio Eighteenth Street - This hat smells like cheap cologne and Newports, if I was you, I wouldn't even bother buying one, you might as well make a go-fund-me page. 9/10 Chicago White Sox - Rollin Sixties - The only people who will wear this a lot of are some Compton Crip gangs and Mexican gangs. If you are Hispanic, this might get you pressed. 5/10 Cincinnati Reds - Campanella Park Piru - Bompton niggas wear this, enough said. 7/10 Colorado Rockies - Grape Street Crip - On Beezy! If you in Watts, don't wear this one. Character Applications I'm sure you're wondering if you're going to be able to create a character before the server launch and the answer is - yes of course! We're already working on a new and improved application system. The applications are set to launch in advance before the server opens for you to get your character ready. In order to not overwhelm our team with handling applications, we're going to open Early Access Applications on the 19th of October, for everyone who's a "Early Supporter #2" or higher tier on Patreon at the time of submitting their application. This perk is also a replacement for the Community Forum Early Access perk, which becomes invalid tonight. Just going to chime in on this, with the map on GTA V being a lot larger, I'd expect contact with civilians/gang members to be a lot lesser in comparison to what it was on GTA SA. One of the stigma's of both PD and SD on GTA SA (not saying everyone done it) was that people would hop from shootout to shootout. After experiencing the police scene in another community both internally and externally along with the map in consideration, the roleplay is a lot more passive in comparison to what it was in GTA SA so that's something I'd like to see a lot more of.

Actually, when we talk about the Italian Organized Crime ( Mafia-Like Organizations ), we rarely distinguish between the various types of criminal organizations that populate Italy and that often migrate to other continents safeguarding traditions of the criminal organization they were part of. 

The main differences are found in:
 Jobs they handle The way they threat petty crime The way they act Where they come from In 2021 have been officially recognized some mafia-like organizations operating both in Southern and Northern Italy with countless imports of drugs and weapons from different continents. What are these recognized criminal organizations? Cosa Nostra ( or Sicilian Mafia ) - Sicily 'Ndrangheta - Calabria Camorra - Campania Sacra Corona Unita - Puglia And other small groups affiliated with these criminal organizations COSA NOSTRA The criminal organization that started the phenomenon commonly referred to as the "mafia" General Info: With the passing years the structure and the organization have been lost, in fact the old marked hierarchy ( Consigliere, Capodecina, Soldier etc.. ) has practically disappeared. The structure of this criminal organization is now homologated to the structure of the other organizations since the criminal organization way of acting has changed radically compared to the last century. Jobs they Handle: drugs trafficking, guns trade, money laundering, protection service, manipulation of the legal system. Petty Crime: Cosa Nostra ( or Sicilian Mafia ) doesn't care about petty crime and the reason is simple. Actually one of their income just comes from protection service that is related to petty crime. Violence: MEDIUM - If the situation is resolvable in a contained or violent way, they will choose the contained way unless they want to teach a lesson. Where they come from: Sicily, Italy. 'NDRANGHETA The most violent mafia-like organization born in Italy General Info: The mafia-like criminal organization commonly called "'Ndrangheta" is not only a simple mafia-like criminal organization. It is the most violent mafia-like organization. It has a precise structure followed and idolized so much that it has never been changed since its inception. Structure: Everything comes to life through families called "ndrine". A set of ndrine is called "local". A local has its boss who has the right to decide if a person has to live or to die, an accountant, and a "crime" that deals with relations with other criminal organizations. The important thing is that there isn't just a "local" but there are several locals scattered all around the place they want to control. Violence: HIGH Where they come from: Calabria, Italy CAMORRA One of the most ancient mafia-like criminal organizations in Italy General Info: What does "Camorra" mean? "Camorra [...], in the general meaning of the word, designates much more than the association [...] The word applies to all abuses of force or influence" ( Marc Monnier ). It is one of the most ancient mafia-like criminal organizations in Italy and the second one in terms of violence. Structure: This organization is divided into individual groups called "clans". Each clan differ from each other by type of influence on the territory, organizational structure, economic strength and their way to act. Each clan has a "boss" and each boss can manage up to hundreds of affiliates, depending on the power and structure of each clan. Jobs they Handle: The main activities of the Camorra are drug trafficking, racketeering, counterfeiting and money laundering. Furthermore, it is not unusual for the Camorra clans to infiltrate the politics of their respective areas. Petty Crime: They favor petty crime. Violence: HIGH Where they come from: Campania, Italy While in the past criminal organizations were very well defined, today criminal organizations operate in a totally different way. Today we can even talk about "Criminal Enterprise". The FBI defines a criminal enterprise as a group of individuals with an identified hierarchy, or comparable structure, engaged in significant criminal activity. These organizations often engage in multiple criminal activities and have extensive supporting networks. Various federal criminal statutes specifically define the elements of an enterprise that need to be proven in order to convict individuals or groups of individuals under those statutes. In the States, the RICO statute defines an organization as "any individual, partnership, corporation, association, or other legal entity, and any union or group of individuals associated in fact although not a legal entity." and defines a criminal enterprise as "any group of six or more people, where one of the six occupies a position of organizer, a supervisory position, or any other position of management with respect to the other five, and which generates substantial income or resources, and is engaged in a continuing series of violations". Those associations of individuals operate transnationally for the purpose of obtaining monetary and commercial gains, power, influence, totally or in part by illegal means, while protecting their activities through a pattern of corruption and violence, or while protecting their illegal activities through a transnational organizational structure and the exploitation of transnational commerce or communication mechanisms. Talking about Italian Organized Crime, in the United States the FBI estimates several Mafia groups operating in the United States. More than 3000 members and associates scattered mostly throughout major cities in the Northeast, Midwest, California, and the South. What about their largest presence? The largest Italian Organized Crime presence is estimated around New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey. The major threats posed by these groups are drug trafficking ( heroin and cocaine in particular ) and money laundering. They're often involved in political corruption, illegal gambling, kidnapping, extortion, fraud, counterfeiting, murders, bombings, infiltration of legitimate business and weapons trafficking. Main activities: Drug Trafficking Interstate transportation of stolen property Murder for hire Bribery Sports bribery Fraud Money laundering Obstruction of justice Prostitution Counterfeit goods trafficking Interstate shipment thefts Gambling Extortion What about tattoos? Italian Organized Crime do not use specific tattoos to designate membership with the group, but some factions of the mafia occasionally get tattoos. For example, one common tattoo among the Stidda group is the five green marks in a circle that form a small starr: As you can see it is a small tattoo since secrecy is among the highest values.

This guide was written by me for LSRP on SAMP and shared with another one I recently played on throughout the summer time, and I figured it'll help those in need on here who need knowledge on the topic. Although I have expanded more on this for Irish Mob RP since the other guides out there aren't as accurate. Guide To Irish Roleplay by Freedom Fighter PART 1: IRISH CULTURE, SHORT BRIEF OF IRISH MOB RUN DOWN & GUIDANCE TO EVERYDAY CHARACTERISTICS 1. INTRODUCTION: Roleplaying an Irish character can be hard to do for most, as some people tend to get some stuff wrong, or roleplay a stereotype. Not that this is a bad thing, but it's something that should definitely be avoided honestly. I'm going to keep this guide somewhat short and to the point so people trying to roleplay an Irish character can get into it easier. The main things that must be taken into consideration though, are the things below: Are you roleplaying Irish-Irish? Are you roleplaying Irish-American? Is your character a criminal or a legal working person? Is your character very culturally driven? The food and music. These pointers are genuinely the most important things to keep in mind when roleplaying an Irish character, which I'll dive into right now. 2. ARE YOU ROLEPLAYING IRISH-IRISH? This is probably the most misguided type of Irish roleplay that can be done, and sometimes can end up going very wrong. The thing to keep in mind about homegrown Irish roleplay is that a lot of people, especially from rural areas of the country who move out foreign still tend to be very culturally driven by traditions. Irish-Irish people normally move out foreign to other countries either due to employment, family or if they're involved in a criminal lifestyle it can also contribute to that factor. 3. ARE YOU ROLEPLAYING IRISH-AMERICAN? This is a very important category of Irish roleplay, as most people choose to roleplay this and often enough tend to roleplay it as a criminal concept. This is fine, but where some people go off course is when they roleplay culture related to Ireland. Most Irish-Americans are very culturally driven, so much that the term: "Irish Pride" is an Irish-American term that has even transitioned to Ireland itself where Irish citizens in Ireland use it. It's quite common for Irish-Americans to be involved in fighting; legal/illegal, or racketeering when it comes to bookie placement and scamming, or when it comes to horse riding. 4. IS THE CHARACTER YOU'RE ROLEPLAYING A CRIMINAL OR LEGAL WORKING PERSON? Very important part of the guide honestly, as this makes or breaks your character. If the character is a criminal, and they're Irish-American for example, then they won't exactly be apart of a major criminal organization as an insider most likely. Irish "mobs" in the United States of America are more of a "crew" or "gang" (Not to be mistaken as a street gang) than a full-fledged mafia. If your character is a legal working person, Native-Irish or Irish-American it'd probably correlate. Basically whatever job you find, you have. 5. IS YOUR CHARACTER CULTURALLY DRIVEN? This is a very short part of the paragraph, but the question is rhetorical in a way. If you're Irish-Irish you will be culturally driven, since it's quite unheard of to find an Irishman or Irishwoman who isn't proud to be Irish. But as for Irish-Americans, they take pride in having Irish blood in their veins very seriously. After all, they did make the term: "Irish Pride" a popular thing. 6. THE FOOD AND MUSIC: This is also an important thing to keep in mind, but mainly only applies to Irish-American characters as an Irish-Irish character would essentially already know most of this. But if you're roleplaying an Irish-Irish character, and are lacking knowledge on Irish culture from the homeland then this will also be of benefit for you. Irish-American families tend to have an Irish dinner at least once a week, whilst some families make it more than once a week. The music is also a very important thing, for example you got the Rumjacks and Dropkick Murphys which are two Irish-American bands from the United States of America, and you have Irish Descendents which are an Irish-Canadian band. This should explain to you how important Irish people from other countries are when it comes to Irish related stuff, and heritage. PART 2: THE IRISH MOB, ACCURACY OVER ACCUSATIONS 1. INTRODUCTION: Alright, so let me start off by saying this, most people roleplaying Irish Mobsters in since 2019 and upwards tend to roleplay copycat La Cosa Nostra concepts which is utterly atrocious for modern-day standards of Irish Mob RP. The term “Irish Mob” should also be taken very lightly, and not used in vein since it’s more of an entity than a statement. The new age of Irish “Mob” roleplay is actually Irish American Organized Crime Groups which operate by their own rules depending on each group. This is what makes Irish criminal roleplay unique in a U.S.A based setting, the fact there’s a lot of freedom in roleplaying an Irish American OCG. 2. MODERN DAY IRISH MOB ROLEPLAY: The thing many people get wrong with “Irish Mob” roleplay is many factors I’ll list below: Understanding Irish Pride and how it is culturally driven into the minds of the youth, LOYALTY, HONOR and RESPECT are three important factors in the Irish criminal underworld. Unlike the traditional Italian Mob rp where it's really only money, as proven by greed many times ruining it. The “Irish Mob” is very prideful in their heritage and don't let money get in between their countrymen/countrywomen. Greed will obviously exist in all areas of the world, but the three things listed make it less likely to happen. Do not, and I repeat… DO NOT ROLEPLAY RACIST, although sometimes you’ll stumble across one or two odd Johns that act like it in real life, Irish people naturally aren’t racist as a community, and in the Irish criminal underworld in the U.S.A all Irish gangsters and mobsters work with different races. They might’ve had a reputation as reckless cowboys in the 50s onto the early 2000s, but most of the time Irish-American OCGs are very business driven and crews like Dunnes in California, Spillanes in NY are rumored to use encrypted messaging apps etc. Don’t always use bars, gyms etc as businesses to own. Branch out, own a nail salon, shoe store, hairdressers, horse breeding ranch company etc, the possibilities for “Irish Mob” roleplay in 2021 are endless. Unlike La Cosa Nostra which have only males being oath takers, Irish-American OCGs normally aren’t sexist and don’t refrain from allowing females to be insiders depending on the specific OCG at hand. And stop using LCN structure, please for the love of God, the Irish "mob" operates entirely different. 3. BUT IT’S NOT ON THE MEDIA?! That’s what makes the “Irish Mob” all that more weary and curious. A lot of my information comes from reliable sources and not everything is on the internet nowadays, in a day of modern day technology, a lot of criminal orgs have resorted to their own ways of staying off the grid. Oh yeah, I’ll also mention that roleplaying connections to the I.R.A is horrendous portrayal, the closest thing you’d have ties to is the Kinahan Cartel and that’s only if you’re roleplaying a crew involved in sports and money laundering which would help them launder their cash, you wouldn't be buying/selling drugs/guns. When speaking with people, you should also use encrypted messaging apps on a LAN connection, powered by an iPhone or PC etc. 5. IRISH-AMERICAN GANGSTERS/MOBSTERS: Roleplaying an Irish-American gangster/mobster isn’t exactly too much of a big thing, as most Irish-American Organized Crime Groups are on small time / average levels of criminal organization and their activities vary depending on the group and that group’s connections. Although if you are roleplaying Irish-American, you can easily roleplaying yourself being affiliated to other ethnic criminal groups. You just might not become an insider, depending on what the group actually is realistically based off of. What is worth mentioning, is that many people need to realize that there’s also a lot of solo criminals that are Irish-American in the United States of America, and a lot of them can even be in street gangs etc like bloods, crips, FAIM etc, so roleplaying Irish-American doesn’t mean you’re gridlocked to being in a criminal organization on a Mafia like level. This was a massive problem on lsrp, it was always active pursuits over anything else. I remember attending a callout from PD when I was in FD and the 3 cops that were with me with a victim ran off without saying anything, when I PMed one of them he said "sorry, there's another pursuit." I want to see PD seeing out situations to the very end with barely any of them breaking off to do something else in the meantime, it's a huge immersion breaker and it's a main gateway to the later robocops we saw. Anyone who wants to join PD with the mindset of chasing people down or attending shootouts all day long doesn't belong in the faction, there has to be room for development in other areas. If a criminal faction were to look for action every minute of their playing time they'd be shut down by FM faster than you can blink.

More roleplay and less shootings, and ego. Police from time to time can give chances to those who committed their first crime, to cut loose before deciding to ruin someone's life. Unless it's not serious of course. It has to be improved by not being a robocop as it was defined on SA-MP, I give my hopes that everyone will be able to encounter with PD properly.

One thing I disliked about a lot of LEO roleplayers in SA-MP is when they ignored situations. I've witnessed it a lot of times when for example, someone is being beaten up on the street, and a LEO drives past, just watches the situation then drives off like nothing happens, especially when the person is asking for help. Always felt so unrealistic to me. No matter how trollish they deem the situation, it's still occurring IC and should still be responded to.
