Minor Update 1.4.1

Hello again from another update post! First off, some colours have changed! To better help you distinguish who is responsible for what, we have changed some of our staff rank colours. This will help players, and staff, figure out who to approach for their problem.   For example, management has been changed to orange (the colour of the R in the LSRP logo) to separate them from Lead Admins and Senior Lead Admins as the former generally does not perform basic administratrion like

Minor Update 1.4.2

Another Sunday, another update. This one isn't exactly filled with features, but there are some pretty nice and noticeable changes for you to explore. I am also happy to report that we have ironed out the bugs found in our custom presets (such as /bareswitch removing the floor...) and are ready to push these custom interiors to our live server. And let me say - some of these are genuinely top quality work. I forgot I was in a custom mapped interior (yes, done with /furniture) in a few of the new

Minor Update 1.5.2

Good morning gang!! Not much filler to add to this one, just that we're working on some stuff... As you may have seen in #snippets, the prison overhaul is full steam ahead - the more specific details haven't been fully ironed out yet, but we're looking at effectively capping prison time to 4 hours/240 minutes (down from 15 hours/900 minutes) and bringing sentences up to be measured in hours and days. The way this will work is as follows:   You are arrested You get prisoned fo

Minor Updates 1.6.1 & 1.6.2

Hello my friends and happy diwali to those that observe it. This is just going to be a place to store the changelogs for 1.6.1 and 1.6.2 as they may have been missed on Discord in #changelogs!   Minor Update 1.6.1 - Added /shirt /undershirt /pants /facemask /gloves - Added gloves and names for all masks (not all gloves are named correctly yet) - Added more optimisations for graffiti and furniture rendering - Added incorrect spelling for colour (color, by Kane) - Fixed an issue where

We're now ready to share this with the wider community - check out the video below.     The Comms and Player Support Teams are also hard at work creating new, updated pages for LSRP's Wiki - this means that more detailed feature documentation will be made available closer to release. In the meantime, we hope to continue giving you

Hey everyone,   June 16th (2023) is when we want to go live. Here's a summary from today's Community Meeting detailing how we'll get there.    We're finishing the last bits of work and fixing what's remaining of our release-blocking bugs. Over the last week, we fixed 24 bugs and we've 2 blocking remaining, both of which are simple to fix, we just haven't gotten around to them with the amount of work yet.   The Communications Team ran a survey recently and among

Player Survey: May 2023

Hey everyone,   We’re pleased to launch the first in a series of community surveys which we’d like you to take part in.   This first one is quite broad and asks a range of questions about how you’re currently feeling about LSRP, what major concerns you have ahead of launch, and some specific questions about the systems that will be in place.   Your input is incredibly valuable to us. Although the first iteration of the server’s script is complete and going through b

We're done.

Hey all,   If you've been following along on Discord you've probably seen the great amount of progress we've been able to accomplish lately. I'm happy to say that after overcoming more hurdles than I was ready for, we're now done with feature development for the release.   Over the last month especially, we've been pushing hard to bring the last necessary features through the finish line. We decided to include more than initially planned because we felt like the server just c

Testing Progress and Trailer Remaster

What up LS-RP Fam,   Since the announcement of feature freeze we've been grinding testing, bug fixing and final touchups. So far we've confirmed over 46 bugs to be fixed and another 24 are pending retesting after they've been addressed by the development team. As it is, we face another 7 critical, 28 major and 73 minor bugs. While we'll try to address as many as we can, the main pre-release focus is on the critical & major ones. Despite a bunch of bugs being found recently as testi

Rules of Engagement & Faction Team Public

Hi all,   Rules of Engagement The Faction Team has completely re-written the Rules of Engagement and this has now been finalized.  The Rules of Engagement may be subject to amendments/changes after server launch. A Q&A topic will be created in the Faction Team Public Section to ask questions about the ROE.   No suggestions for alterations to the ROE will be taken until at-least a month after the server has launched and it has been trialed.   The Rules of Engagement c

Property Update: Business Applications

Hi all,   Today I'm happy to announce that we've now opened up the business section of the forums.  We've decided to allow players to apply for a business lease in order to establish business roleplay on the server initially.   There are plans to make these businesses buy-able further down the line once there is enough money in the economy for players to be able to afford these businesses. In order to encourage larger companies/factions to run these businesses we've decided that you mu

July Update

Hey everyone,   I'd like to update you on what's been going on the last few weeks. We've resumed development in a limited capacity after I had to take some time off due to personal issues and boy we've got a lot to talk about. As promised, it's July 13th so we're bringing you more information on the release timeline.   When does LS-RP come out? Given the scope of remaining work & testing, we're currently targeting to release in August. Vast majority of features are e

First Staff Update of 2022

Hello everyone   The last year has been an unusual period of time for the staff team and we are getting closer to another milestone — launching our community on the GTA V platform. In preparation for the many months of developing the script we altered the way our team is structured by introducing the 'Insider' team. The whole staff team has played a vital role in establishing the ecosystem and building the foundation for the server, without their knowledge and experience we would not h

LS-RP:V Release Date (emotional) (shocking)

Hey everyone,   Hope everyone's doing well and getting ready for the holiday season. December was always special around LS-RP, I remember all the treasure hunts and winter/Christmas events we used to hold. I'm looking forward to seeing something like that in-game again as we celebrate the season... next year.   It's been quite challenging over the last few months to keep track of the remaining work. Trying to keep tabs on all the features in my brain has proven quite ineffici

March Release Update

Hey everyone,   We've decided to once again move our release date. First and foremost, please accept our apologies.   I understand the frustration everyone must be feeling, and you aren't alone. Our biggest challenge is time. Every release date we've set, whether February 24st or week of March 21st, has been calculated based on current development team availability which has proven to change unexpectedly more often than not, leading us to continue to undercalculate our progre
