Hey everyone, Today we're releasing our penal and vehicle code. We decided instead of recycling from SAMP, we would rewrite it from scratch. We took some guidance from the SAMP penal code to get a gist of how to write it, but for the most part, it's a fresh one. We looked to the California penal code for inspiration and some charges are named and indexed from it. Our goal for this penal code was to make it as clear as possible so that both illegal and legal roleplayers would be able to comprehend it without issue. Lets talk about prison time: We decided that, for now, we're going to be sticking with an hour/minute based time system for sentencing. This is a hot topic and a lot of people have differing opinions but we feel this is the best way to go for the time being. Our goal in the future is to adapt to a court system and base sentencing and time off of that. It's a whole discussion and it's still being brainstormed but I hope to have something to show there after launch. Some charges aren't in the right title? You may see, for example, 211. Robbery inside Title 1 and wonder why it's there when it doesn't follow the numbering at all. Well, this is one of the ways we looked to California for inspiration. Everyone understands when they hear "187" that it's Murder. "211" is Robbery. For these common charges, we decided to number them based off of California and how everyone knows them by. Hey all, To give factions the ability to house their faction members in certain areas, the Faction Team has decided to allow factions to apply for faction complexes. These faction complexes will consist of a few apartments and will help with providing more environmental roleplay for the faction. Each faction has the ability to choose between getting 6 to 8 apartments for their complex. In order to improve the housing market, the Faction Team is offering factions a possibility to establish themselves within certain areas by creating a faction complex. This will ensure that faction members are provided the necessary housing for them to do their roleplay. For individuals, renting options will be available at launch; and a separate scheme will be announced for businesses. How to determine how many apartments you can get? The faction that is applying has to exist for a minimum of a week, and needs to consist of at least 12 core members. See below list to see how many members you need for the amount of apartments you can apply for in your complex. 6 apartments: 12 members 7 apartments: 14 members 8 apartments: 16 members A faction can apply for a maximum of 8 apartments. GUIDELINES By submitting an application, you agree to the rules surrounding the scheme, and accept potential removal from the scheme following any breach of the following agreements: Name-changing in any form is not allowed and will result in removal. You have to notify the Head of Schemes before namechanging. Administrative punishment (admin jail or ban), depending on severity and situation. Abusing the furniture limits within the complex for your own benefit. Poor roleplay surrounding the faction complexes. Lying in the selection application. Creating secret compartment/rooms or designing the interior in a way to give you a benefit during shootouts. Faction owner rents the complex out to non-faction members. Other faction team decision. Faction is shut down. Inactivity. REQUIREMENTS Before applying for the scheme, please ensure you meet the requirements. Not meeting the requirements will result in an instant denial. Hello everyone In order to make the rules easier to navigate and understand, we have decided to move them away from the forums and onto our very own wiki page! It will still be accessable from our boards, as you can easily click the "Rules" tab on the menu bar. The rules are split into five different categories: Server Rules Account Rules Forum Rules Rules of Engagement Legal Faction Rules With the rules being listed on our wiki page, we are able to easily make changes to them and we will be able to see what was different in the respective revisions of them. Furthermore, every player will be able to see the rules directly in game by simply using "/help rules" or "/help deathmatch" and it will open the rulebook for deathmatching. We are releasing the rules now so that everyone has the time to study them closely before the server opens. This was unfortunate wording and pedo RP was never allowed. That being said, after consideration, we've decided to edit this archaic rule and disallow any of the actions mentioned in the rule, without exception or permissions. Acts of sexual violence and dangerous or illegal paraphilias are not something we're going to facilitate in the community, even as "roleplay". Punishment for breach of this rule is ban.

should apply to rape as well. there's simply no room for predatory behavior like this (regardless of OOc permissions) and people shouldn't be given the space to live out their sick fantasies on a video game.

I can definitely see your point in trying not to restrict anything but I can't see anything positive coming from allowing pedo RP. It's an incredibly sensitive topic for very good reasons. It doesn't benefit the server, much to the contrary, it opens it up to media attention (you never know when a bored "journalist" is around) and attracts the lowest of the low onto the server. Not to mention you have to legit be a weirdo IRL to want to RP that. And again, I have to mention that LSRP already has a somewhat unfortunate past with nonces. There's no positive and a whole lot of negatives. Plus it's just morally wrong to have that shit portrayed in something that's decidedly not very mature. There's a difference between Lolita handling the topic and a GTA V RP server, to say the least.

If you are fimiliar with gang-culture on the West-Coast, you should be aware of the fact that a simple baseball hat can get you killed. Gangs are known to wear hats of certain teams to represent where they are from. I will list the hats, their respective "press-ratio" (The higher the press-ratio, the more likely you are to get banged on, or shot for a hat.) I will only be listing MLB Teams, there are way too many hats to cover, tho I might update this in the future. Feel free to add non-factor gangs I left out in the comments below. Hey everyone, We're now just a little over two weeks before our scheduled release and new features are getting added into our game mode left and right. There's still a lot of work remaining and we're going full steam ahead, though I can really tell it's all slowly coming together. Allow me to give you a few updates on the upcoming two weeks so you know what to expect. Character Applications Everyone will be able to submit a character application starting February 14th. Until then the applications remain locked for our Patrons only. We anticipate a large amount of applications, so if you want to be 100% sure yours gets handled in time for the release, I suggest you submit it before the 14th. Similar story goes for the character creation server, which will become available to the public on February 20th. You will be able to customize your character however many times you wish before the server launch. After launch, you won't be able to alter an existing character appearance - just set it once and it's done. Staff Reinstatements We've decided on all staff reinstatements submitted and will be announcing & processing them on February 14th along with public character applications. Development Updates Due to the sheer amount of updates that are happening recently and how close we are to release, I won't bore you with paragraphs; here's some screenshots instead. Etc. If you've been keeping up with #snippets on our Discord, you've probably seen some of these already. On a personal note ... Today also marks a special occasion for me personally — it's exactly ten years since I got accepted into LS-RP and started roleplaying. It's been a wild ride and what excites me the most is that it's nowhere near over. The opposite actually, we're inching closer and closer to the next chapter for the community and I can already tell it's going to be awesome. The sheer amount of energy, effort and dedication from everyone starts to show and despite any hurdles we may encounter during launch, I'm certain we've got something great on our hands. I likely worded my first comment wrong then, I'd welcome the banning of pedo RP, there's no reason to roleplay it and the people I've seen roleplay it have been extremely suspect people. As I said in the comment that Tweaker guy linked, some guy actually got shitty with me OOC cause my character disapproved of his pedo shit and mocked him for it, he tried to lecture me about how 'difficult' it is to rp that kind of shit and then tried to say I was mixing OOC and IC because my character was in a gang and in his opinion should approve of that kinda shit, it was just weird and I don't really want to hear about it happening here anymore. Now, other forms of disgusting RP that don't include pedo shit or child porn? I don't think they should be banned, for the simple purpose of not restricting roleplay. Im gonna be real with you man, there was issues with it on SAMP for sure, as I mentioned in my response to LeNova and IdleStacks, I've come across some very strange individuals while on this server, like blokes who roleplay kids for the express purpose of being preyed upon by pedo characters, or people who'd roleplay pedophiles in general. Other forms of disgusting RP imo shouldn't be banned and should be left for individual players to decide if they want to consent or not, but pedophile RP should be gone.

I want to give them the benefits of the doubts but their first comment(s) are clearly stating and them saying to not change ANY rule nor the pedo roleplay rule. I don't see what I gain from twisting their words, I simply pointed out what they said and asked them about it.

Any private clinic being introduced to the server will need to go through some other scheme, such as a faction or company scheme. Which will need to be met with approval by the appropriate LS-RP Staff members. The hospital sub-faction has been put into place as a direct request from Server Management. It would ultimately be up to them on whether such private clinics could open or not. The LSFD has no say in which factions or companies can or cannot open.

First of all, not once did I say pedo RP should be allowed, i've already voiced my dislike for that kind of RP, the point I'm making is that pedo RP and anything to do with child porn should be banned but nothing else should be changed. You've simply either misconstrued what I was trying to get at, or you're twisting my words. I hear what you're saying, but I highly doubt that anything will happen in regards to media attention on the server. Agreed, but unlike pedo RP, some (not all) of the other things you'd need OOC permission for (sexual harassment, rape, torture, dismemberment) very much still exist in the realm of criminality and shouldn't be restricted because things like that can sometimes add on to character development if two players consent to a scene that involves them. Nonce RP and anything to do with sexualizing child characters should be banned outright though for the reasons I've already mentioned.

In my honest opinion, I believe that seven of the eight items listed should be removed from the list where such rps are accepted in case there is OOC permission from the victim and this means, they should be banned indefinitely and with no option to role play such barbarities. Those who promote such actions happily, I assume, they aren't in a good mental state.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, it sounds like you think this kind of roleplay is perfectly fine to do so. I understand that you keep in your mind the fact these rules were back in LSRP already. However, give us a couple of standpoints why it's perfectly normal to roleplay such things, making a story together/reading a story together about such things for enjoyment I find rather very weird and sus.

After reading this overall suggestion, I was like ugh... I wouldn't want to know anyone's exhaust, engine info and what not. If it's just to describe a messy interior, a for sale sign, bumper stickers, a significant scratch or dent on the vehicle itself from an accident, etc. Simple stuff like that. I wouldn't want it being visible at all times but rather using a command like explained by others. Neat. 🙂

Yes, it should be allowed because inevitably there will be trolls who break in vehicles just to rob stashes and to protect you from the trolls, that system would do a fine job. If you were to know about the location of the said vehicle and wish to check it but it's not spawned, you can always request it from the person to spawn it (assuming there's a common courtesy and they'll comply) or ask an admin to do so in case of a rejection.

Knowing who is behind it makes it even more crazy how good and informative their thread is. These two I like too but the font for E/S Insane Crips topic is kind of weird.
