    We all work full time jobs outside of ls-rp and Martin's been taking unpaid leave from his to dedicate more time to getting ls-rp out but I suppose you may have a point about us being lazy. Schedules change, life happens and slows us down. I can't help you if you can't understand that.

  6. Hey everyone, We've decided to once again move our release date. First and foremost, please accept our apologies. I understand the frustration everyone must be feeling, and you aren't alone. Our biggest challenge is time. Every release date we've set, whether February 24st or week of March 21st, has been calculated based on current development team availability which has proven to change unexpectedly more often than not, leading us to continue to undercalculate our progress and release timeframes. Nonetheless, I won't give you any excuses. We gave out a date and we should be expected to meet it, that is on us. Once again, we're sorry for the continued false promises. With that being said, the work hasn't stopped. We're very close to launching and I'm prepared to show you a sheet of outstanding features. You can see that list here: Features list The features listed are the current prerequisites to us launching. It's been a busy month for all of us in the development team but I'm still able to assure you that development is not going to and has never stopped. We're working hard to get this out. I hope everyone understands that we have never delayed because we want to but because we had to. At this time I am not prepared to give you another release date. I'll post another announcement as soon as I have that information. We'll continue to regularly post development snippets and update you as we make progress.   13. FiveM is marketed towards voice RP. alt:V seems promising but each have their own issue. Recent example, it took them a couple days to come out with a compatibility update for the new V update, even with the number of developers they have. So that's about 3 days of the server being unavailable while it only took Rage a couple hours to put out an update. But yeah, like I said, each have their own issues.

    San Andreas Law!

    Hey everyone, Today we're releasing our penal and vehicle code. We decided instead of recycling from SAMP, we would rewrite it from scratch. We took some guidance from the SAMP penal code to get a gist of how to write it, but for the most part, it's a fresh one. We looked to the California penal code for inspiration and some charges are named and indexed from it. Our goal for this penal code was to make it as clear as possible so that both illegal and legal roleplayers would be able to comprehend it without issue. Lets talk about prison time: We decided that, for now, we're going to be sticking with an hour/minute based time system for sentencing. This is a hot topic and a lot of people have differing opinions but we feel this is the best way to go for the time being. Our goal in the future is to adapt to a court system and base sentencing and time off of that. It's a whole discussion and it's still being brainstormed but I hope to have something to show there after launch. Some charges aren't in the right title? You may see, for example, 211. Robbery inside Title 1 and wonder why it's there when it doesn't follow the numbering at all. Well, this is one of the ways we looked to California for inspiration. Everyone understands when they hear "187" that it's Murder. "211" is Robbery. For these common charges, we decided to number them based off of California and how everyone knows them by. Note about infractions: Infraction penalty dollar amount will be filled in at a later day before launch.     Pretty much the same way as sa-mp. Brutally wounded or Knocked out (=> Brutally Wounded) and then Dead. Some differences: - Bleed out system if you're shot and don't heal - You can wake up from being knocked out after a TBD amount of minutes. - Once you're fully dead, someone can search you and see what items you lost on death. We plan on adding corpses / coroner post-launch.

  18. Hey all, Today I'm happy to showcase to you guys how far along we've came with our damage system which is just about complete. It's been really fun testing and we can't wait for you guys to hop in game soon and experience it yourself. Check out this video by @Xanakin to see more about it: We really brainstormed how to handle damages and different type of weapons and I think we came out with a pretty solid system. We currently have more than 60 custom inventory weapons implemented and more than 20 different ammo types. Each weapon will have a base damage and a list of compatible ammo and a range of distances it can fire accurately and how far. V's native range for hitting targets is quite large so this was necessary to do. Each ammo type will be configured with a different multiplier. So some types of ammo will be stronger, some will be weaker and so forth. When it comes to deciding how much damage it's time to give, it all comes down to these factors: base damage, ammo multiplier, distance and bodypart. Some bodyparts will increase your damage, and some may lower it. Another part of our system that I'm quite happy about is the attachment system! We've added just about every weapon component that exists on GTA V and that will all be accessible. As demonstrated in the video, you'll be able to have each piece in your inventory and use them on weapons it's compatible with (not all can have attachments)!   19. I don't know if a news system is needed in game at all. Everytime you saw [NEWS] F_L is going live. on sa-mp, it was followed by /helpme how do i turn off the news I'm not sure that it appeals well to players.
  20. Having to go through IA first to file a law suit made no sense imo.
  21. I wouldn't say it worked well. Since the 2018 penal code update, there were 3 changes to it by the State Senate. We found a lot to change and some flaws while reviewing it to rewrite so I can't even say it's because there was nothing to do.

I like them, I'd love to have them on the server But the main argument I've heard so far is: - It takes away from the GTA 5 character customization experience and no one wants to see duplicate skins like we have on SAMP. From a dev standpoint: - The few ped models I've tried, you can't apply clothing on them and most of our script jobs will require changing in to a uniform so these models would be incompatible which we can't have. If @Lacoste The Builder is right, we could make a list of which peds can have their clothes changed and allow them based off of that. I wouldn't expect anything like that until post launch though.
