  1. And why should we believe you, considering you already let the community down with many broken promises followed by a script that missed many basic features you'd expect after 2 years of development? If you want people to actually believe you this time, you come with solid work that shows you're still willing to contribute, or hand the development over to someone that's way more passionate. "Our team is burnt out" is not a fucking excuse. You wanna save the ship? Start by making sure people can actually roleplay (especially legal factions) and give us the scripts LSRPV was supposed to have from the start. Stop coming with the "Week 69" "Week Y" plans that are obviously going to get missed.

  2. That's a bad excuse. LS:RP is a business and it should start acting like one. Real life obligations are and always will be there, but it is his responsibility to put them aside in order to grow his business. If you are seeking to create something good/innovative/unique, you need to make sacrifices. Yeah he took unpaid time off... Am I supposed to praise him for that? Should I applaud the fact that he took unpaid time off to build his own business that makes him money? He's not running a charity, there's nothing for me to "respect". There's a patreon up that generates almost a grand a month, that's the whole point behind that, to fund the endeavor and ensure that if he needs to take some unpaid time off, he can without starving or being homeless. Here's a question for you. Since you guys are admittedly getting hit by real life responsibilities (which like I said is not an excuse when you run your own business but anyway) and an increasingly large volume of tickets, why don't you try to make part of the work opensource so that community devs contribute to it or on-board more volunteer developers? You don't need to give them access to everything if you're afraid of leaks, hell don't even give them anything. I dev for multiple FiveM servers and I don't have access to any of their core frameworks. I make them minimum viable products and then they trim them to their needs. My two cents.

  3. You are proposing these illegal schemes, but most of them require you to be in a faction. Why not make it character-specific instead of faction-specific? This is too limiting for people who want to roleplay creative schemes and try to make it either solo or into a faction through organic ways w/o depending on the faction itself. I think the days where the schemes are tailored to benefit factions and factions only are long gone, or should be. Making them character-specific ensures a better flow of drugs and I believe that those character can be from inside a faction or outside them. It shouldn't matter.

  4. Nothing increases morale and confidence more than having to constantly check the forum and seeing that theres been basically zero communication and promises have once again been broken. I don't know what kind of feature creep issues you guys have going, but there's no way it's worth the damage that's already been caused. LSRP either lives or dies based on the community, a community that has been consistently disrespected and neglected. Maybe you're banking on the idea that there'll be a new and more substantial playerbase eventually after release, but that seems like a pretty lousy plan. LSRP was already filled with too many trolls before you closed the SAMP server, what do you think is going to happen when/if this rage MP server releases? It's going to start with a community filled with people that at worst don't respect the leadership/rules and at best resent the leadership and server. LSRP lives or dies based on the community, because if the server is filled with toxicity and blatant disregard for leadership and their rules it will only attract people who themselves are toxic and disregard the rules. If the only thing going for this community is a sexy script, then it's doomed to fail. I hope the server succeeds, I'll be playing ASAP when/if it's released, but it just hurts to see you guys knee cap yourselves so early and so unnecessarily.

  5. i know everybody got priorities irl but sorry dude, apparently nothing changed with LSRP, same old habits, yall cant keep ur word on a release date and this aint a good sign.. same old staff typical behavior from lsrp, unfortunately, before the server even launches lol, some of us grew up with LS and are old farts now and would like to see this shit thrive but yall killed it with these moves and i'll be the one to say it for everybody here (at least people who think like me) not sure what's going on here i hope u realize u just killed the hype with this, don't make promises u cant keep, if its gonna take 1 year to release it, tell the people its gonna take 1 year, dont tell them its gonna take 2 months then come back and say someone broke into ur house or whatever then come back and move it again, the server was supposed to release like 9 or 8 months ago, how did you even come up with that if u knew there's still alot to do?

  8. I will briefly comment on the economy since that's what I'm most interested in myself. The current economy is not fundamentally realistic. It's based on a circular flow of income model but it's not designed to keep money circulating in the economy; instead, it creates a lot of money and looks to remove money from circulation. A healthy economy requires the regulation of how much money is created and keeps most money circulating in the economy (while creating investment and non-investment resources to spend said money on so that players wouldn't have too much money with nothing to spend on). It simply gives the false idea of realism because it's more difficult to start out but there are many loopholes. Something that people who don't understand economics and game economy design is that a realistic economy = is (very) difficult to earn money. You can have a realistic economic model but ”adjust the ratios.” For example, think of income classes. Lower class - very poor Lower class Lower middle class Upper middle class Lower upper class Upper class Each income class ”denotes a level (in a game)” based on how much someone earns (based on what they do and what their contribution to the roleplay universe and in-game economy is) and each income class can afford certain investment and non-investment resources. If you were in the lower class - very poor, you would rely on social housing and the Department of Social Services checks. If you were upper class, you could afford the most expensive mansions and vehicles. Most all games that have an in-game economy revolve around a cost system. The cost system determines how easy or difficult it is to reach a certain level (of income), and what each level can afford. However, the trick is in regulating the money created (called the ”main indicators of the game,” meaning what is being rewarded with money. Usually, in roleplay, it's either (prolonged) activity e.g. paychecks and savings, or it's roleplay creation.) Once the money is created, the goal is to keep it circulating, not remove it from circulation. That's how you get a healthy economic system with limited inflation. Now, as I said, you can ”adjust the ratios” of how easy or difficult it is to reach a certain level. The upper middle class to upper class should be the most difficult to reach but the first three levels should require minimum effort. That would set all (new) players up at a comfortable level where they don't have to worry about money and can roleplay, but would need to put in extra work (through roleplay effort) to get higher. The easiest way to visualize this is by thinking of XP ratios for levels in an MMORPG. At the moment, you literally have players who can't afford the basics for their roleplay while there is a player who owns the Gentry Manor Hotel as a private residence (I don't know who), and there is major inflation not even a quarter into the server existence with millions being printed. My suggestion is this: Make the economy more transparent (good starters would be a Forbes-style top 10 richest list, a monthly inflation tracker based on how much money was/is on the server, and an income ladder. All 3 of these are public to everyone). It creates accountability for the economy team and players will be more inclined to provide feedback on the economy based on how content or uncontent they are with the results. Make it easier to start out for new players but make it more difficult to reach the upper levels of income classes. Involve non-staff in the economy team, and make economic discussions public to the player base so everyone can voice their opinion, and see how decisions are made.

  9. Every single "divisional lead" from the administration should take a page from @Dos Santosbook and see what he is doing and how. Whereas many areas of the server and its administrative infrastructure feel lacking, the company team is thriving. Business owners are (afaik) for the most part happy with everything that is being done and the way it is being done. It wasn't always like that. It took Dos Santos, the company team and business owners themselves a lot of time and discussions to reach to a place where both sides are satisfied and are actually co-operating for the good of the server. If you're looking for people with the right mindset and abilities to help steer the server in the right direction - look no further than @Sal But actually enable him to make a difference.

  15. My feedback to Dos-Santos also for what it's worth as he is the ONLY one that is making a difference. I can only speak for myself and findings but currently your running of the business section is exemplary, the auto reimbursement has been tied down to a fine knot and working well in my business it's not too much and it's not too little, you have given us as business owners all the tools needed and support to make it work, so far from what I have seen there has been no failings specifically in business. What is letting business down is the external factors that are effecting the entire server and it's dwindling player base, last night I logged on at peak time and there was 55 players on, I opened and didn't have single person walk through my doors, and I have seen this with other business openings even for a bar I've walked in and there has been 3 people. I know you are NOT responsible for this but it all leads back to the same problems, one of the major contributors is the Faction team who are the complete polar opposite to you in terms of how things are running they are failing horribly with no repercussions, unlike in the Business discord any suggestions and comments are met with open mindedness and constructive conversation, in the FT it's met with childish and gang mentality style conversation, I got kicked out of the FT team discord for pointing out that the lead FT can't even string a sentence together in English and talks to the community like he is IC it was a perfectly fair criticism as it was true. This was all lead up to by members trying to offer constructive criticism of the failings of that team and why the server is pretty much cops and robbers, Foco TDM 24/7. The server was flooded with cheap guns and drugs which mean nothing to anyone now, poor RPers are met with little to no resistance I've reported several DMs and the players are still roaming with as little as a verbal warning, another example there was a weapons hacker on the server two nights ago and he was finally banned after being warned three times.... He should have been banned first, if not second at the earliest. Apologies for the length of this feedback but I believe those external factors are the single reason for any failings, my other issue which again comes from leads in general but heavily focused towards the FT is they all have vested interests in street gangs that is ALL they are interested in to the point where Mitcholodo himself in the Discord intimated that 'the only type of illegal rp is street gang rp' which is absolutely ridiculous. Unlike other communities when they start and the staff team help build the community up with engagement I.e. helping with businesses by as little as visiting them, at a push having an alt to help run them even if it's a short term whilst the community builds. I have had advertisements up for over a fortnight for staff and nobody is interested, i've seen in other communities if you are encouraging good RP the staff will lend a hand whilst the community builds, you don't see this here because they are all in Davis doing exactly the same thing rather than putting the community interest first it's their own which is bizarre because it will result in them being the only people stood in Davis. The good RPers in this server are trying their best, a great example is the good chaps who are heavily invested in the servers GOV they are trying to hard to deal with some of these problems IC a good example is the LS Splash events which I was lucky enough to get the catering for as Sushi Dai's that event should have had at least 20% of the PB online at the time turn up maybe more there was 150 players online and 12-15 people turned up, next to NO staff / Admins / Leads turned up ICly to those events because it 'doesn't match the street gang rp appeal' it's a huge problem it's effecting all levels of RP especially business because there is just no interest there because it doesn't involve the following, guns, drugs or ending up in prison, a shoot out or calling each other the N word. I fully appreciate you was looking for feedback in regards to script support, what you can do specifically and i'm sure I could offer some of that but if the issues i've highlighted aren't addressed there won't be any decent players left to write scripts for truly believe that unfortunately. Reduce /cad spam it's horrible lines and lines of green text in between RP, when business owners call it '/cad wars' highlights a problem in itself.

  17. As someone who has been part of the community for years and played rival servers, I think LSRPs script is so CLEAN. The MDC and UI of the server is very well done and clearly the time and care has been placed into that. The biggest issue is missing features, which is something to be expected but I left the FD recently because there's not even a fire script. What the server needs is more attention to the parts that matter, every person wants to have cool things to do, that's why the lawn job got so much interest. Give the LSFD Fires, the gangs graffities, police more ANPR speed traps, radar guns, give the government the ability to interact with the city (Takedown lampposts etc). Give players more jobs that are varied, and more customization. The support for businesses is great so far and glad to see that part so open.

  18. I've offered my help in the past with development (not to brag but the tech used here at Rage/LSRP is my bread and butter in my real life job, and I've developed a thing or two with Rage). The response I got was that spending time on onboarding won't help, so it seems like a chicken and egg situation. I'm still happily offering my help with development.

  19. As I've said before and to many people: the delays themselves don't bother me. The management around the delays is what's bothered me. Thank you Kane for sharing this list of what remains - as it feels like the only time where we've really had any idea of where we're up to and what remains. With that being said, we've had weeks of uncertainty and I'm not afraid to say that I feel like more could and should have been done to keep everyone up to date on where things have been at. There have also been opportunities to keep interest piqued which have been missed; I sent some of these ideas to Ben, but they were ignored. And frankly, to hear on the most recent meeting (which was still over a week ago, maybe two?) "I'm really excited about the launch and I hope you are too" just felt like a slap in the face. I have been one of the people who's vehemently defended the staff team, Mmartin and the delays that have happened. I understand, fully and wholeheartedly, that you're doing this in your spare time and that everyone has jobs and lives besides this. You, as an individual, along with the other developers that have picked things up in Mmartin's stead, are very good in my eyes and I feel sorry for you having to deal with such fallout when you've done everything you can. The snippets, for instance, have been one of the few things keeping people informed of where things are at. The sad fact here though is that in my eyes, the script and the physical release of the server has only been part of the problem. Keeping people fully informed has been one major issue, and I believe that there must surely be other things that could have occupied everyone's time and attention in the meantime. For instance, talk about the discussions that have been had regarding SA lore. Talk about the updates to laws. Show that the lead team has been listening to suggestions and so on. Show people that fucks are still being given. This again is not directed at you. I'm directing it more at anyone who claims to manage this community as a whole. Opportunities have been missed, the communication failures have been nigh on endless, and faith is being lost on a daily basis as a result. I'm not even sure if, at this point, anything that is said or done could convince me that this is still worth keeping an eye on. The manner it's been managed leaves much to be desired, and makes me worry for any time in the future in which difficult situations might arise again

  26. This was my fault, my mindset behind it was to make cypress logistics earn less money so then people are more forced into the ideal world of working for player owned trucking companies to provide more roleplay, rather than the typical scripted job element I didn't think of the implications it had towards the other community members. It was then reverted. Hold my hands up to that.
    3 points
  27. I think a big part of the issue in regards to the playerbase are these shock changes that come out of nowhere but have massive impact to people's experience. To list a couple, trucking was suddenly completely nerfed, then it was reverted, then another update which left it in a state it should've been originally. Another was the PF gun prices. Why would raising the prices 10x ever be a good idea? Even as a short term fix, it was ridiculous. It isn't even about the short term affects these changes have, but how they were so obviously the wrong decision to make and these types of decisions are made time and time again. And this is proven when the player count is noticeably affected when these sorts of changes are made. And that's a common theme, there's aspects of the script which make you think, or rather know, there hasn't been much forward thinking put into them or have been entirely glossed over. I remember one community meeting someone asked if you can sell a car once the loan is paid off, nobody knew. Considering how GTA servers are played, that is such a crucial thing to not only implement, but even know if it is implemented or not. It all just screams incompetence and poor management. The gambling scripts would be well received. A weekly lotto could bring a bit more excitement to the server. I'm picturing a lotto ticket item purchasable from 24/7s and the winner is picked automatically and announced, the money sent straight to their bank account. Blackjack would be a really good addition too. Poker would be great but could take a while to implement, nevertheless I think this and blackjack should be prioritised as it would make the gambling scene a lot more viable, as right now it's painful to use /rnumber and /dice and so on. Gambling is one of the things which tends to blur the worlds of legal and illegal RP as well which is why I think it's such an important thing for the server. The vehicle changes sound good, but it feels like there needs to be a bigger overhaul for how all this works. There's no way to preview the changes you're making to the car, and the mechanic controls it all. Instead the customer should be able to configure what they want done to their car, actually see it previewed on their vehicle, and then submit a request to the garage. The mechanic working for the garage can then accept this request and begin performing the roleplay for the job. To add on to this, more visual mods should be added like bumpers, side skirts, exhausts, wheel colours, etc. Performance mods should be added as well, but I think visual mods should be prioritised over them for now. On a similar note, add the ability to spawn in multiple vehicles at once. And why is /v setpark even a thing? Just make it /v park and you can park anywhere. I've also made a pretty lengthy suggestion here which would add a lot more depth to vehicles on the server and boost the second hand car market. It could be a bit overkill and a money sink for where the server and the economy is right now, but it is quite modular and could be implemented in phases. The furniture system, while already pretty good to be fair, is missing some key features which would make mapping much more user friendly. The ability to copy the location and rotation of one object and apply it to another would be very beneficial. It also seems like if objects do not face north, then using the static movement doesn't actually work, say if the object is facing north east, pressing up will move it towards north, and not north east, which is incredibly frustrating and makes mapping so much more time consuming when trying to line up walls and so on. What should take a couple seconds max can end up taking 30s - 1m, which when applied to a whole project, is substantial. Add more furniture items too. Having to retype /furniture and navigate through the furniture screen after performing certain actions wastes a lot of time too. If these things could be sorted then mapping would be so much faster. There also seems to be a lot of hand holding on the server which can slow things down. Why an admin needs to set the spawn point for the interior is beyond me. Players are given the freedom to map custom interiors but not choose where players spawn within those custom interiors? I don't even know what the reasoning would be for this, it seems like a pointless restriction. If someone is going to abuse it, police it when it is noticed, don't gatekeep the functionality for the entire playerbase just in case someone abuses it. Similarily selecting different interiors for your properties. This could be something that is done via the UCP and removes work for the admin team. Again, if an unsuitable interior is selected, that should be reported and dealt with accordingly, but put some trust into the playebase that 99% of people will pick appropriate interiors. On a similar note, custom interiors should have to match the exterior of the buildings. There seems to be a lot of interiors that are much bigger than the exteriors or have a completely different layour / footprint which does seem a bit cheaty. I think the gun and drug schemes could be changed massively. As @memooh mentioned, gun parts should be able to be bought on the darknet and you can assemble these to make a gun, this would also give illegal roleplayers more things to trade. Serial numbers on PF guns should be able to be filed off. Similarily PF guns should be a lot harder to acquire (but not more expensive). Make the process more time consuming (even if artificially inflated), require a test of sorts, some roleplay IG with a licensing official (an interview, check of the player's home to make sure the gun can be stored appropriately, etc). As for the drug schemes, you could add the ability to buy items and create drugs from them. Get seeds from the darknet and grow weed which takes time, requiring you to water the plants and so on. Other drugs like meth, all the chemicals could be bought which need to be combined in a series of actions to result in the end product. These seeds / chemicals can also be traded as well then. You get the idea. This doesn't need to replace straight up buying the drugs or guns, but go alongside it (and be cheaper). Another thing to keep in mind is software development takes time. Ideas are all good and well but they take a lot of effort and time to implement, so players can't expect the world immediately. Even these barebones features we are missing, don't expect those to come in a week or two. If people want to see the server grow and succeed, try to look past some of the downfalls for now and enjoy the server for what it is. You can still have a good time on the server if you seek this out. My faction The Road Slayers Motorcycle Club and I even struggle with this sometimes when thinking is it even worth hopping IG when we see the playerbase around 40 - 60, but then we do and open one of our businesses or host an event like our recent car show and end up having a great turn out and it motivates us to play more. It has to be said that the community here does feel a lot better considering the player count and people are more open to roleplaying with people, so just keep doing that, give the script time to mature and the playerbase and playing experience will no doubt improve.

  28. I roleplayed almost daily with one week off since the server launched, and after playing SAMP longer than I care to admit V actually got me excited to roleplay again. Frankly, I didn't mind the low player base or bare-bones script because I saw initiative and activity from the staff (which was lacking toward the end of SAMP. Let's be honest). I always view servers, factions, characters, et cetera as long-term projects. However, what drove me off about a week or a week and a half ago was seeing behind-the-scenes on the Economy Team after which I took some time to analyze. Pardon my bluntness but I think the economy is neither realistic nor has a long-term future. The fundamentals are extremely poor, and the system is designed to hurt new players and benefit players in legal factions or part of the companies/businesses/factions scheme. A key issue in SAMP was inflation, and LSRPV has already printed millions upon millions into the economy while new players struggle with basics for their roleplay. When I raised my concerns (having literally studied economics and finance in real life, and designed game economies in the past) I encountered non-explanations and got kicked from the Economy Team because ''it wasn't ready for public'' despite being invited as non-staff in the first place. I wasn't invited back (I was told I would) and I saw no interest shown in my economic feedback. I hope I will be proven wrong but nothing that I witnessed from the economy team indicates they actually understand economics, which means that there are going to be fundamentally similar issues to what SAMP faced only different methods. Personally, as I have roleplayed in LSRP since 2007, as other servers in SAMP and MTA, right now LSRP has no competitive advantage. When I log in I don't feel as if there's anything new. If I'm completely honest, I don't even see many issues from SAMP solved or improved upon. At this point, you're only going to maintain nostalgic players loyal to the LSRP brand.

  29. Respect for honestly, for what it's worth. Since 2011, I have never considered roleplaying anywhere else, as I believe the RP standard within the community is what sets LS-RP apart from other servers. As for scripts and mods. Please consider adding the scripts that complement players creating RP for others. Since they rarely speak up or ask for anything, there is still much that you can do for them. Because if they become inactive, the rest will follow. Other than that. Kudos to the business owners who keep opening constantly. Hope you guys succeed and my RP career won't have to end here. Good luck and have fun!

  30. Props to Imperium for all the work he's put in as recently his efforts have contributed massively towards improving user experience. Although there has been some OOC run ins with Nature, he has been great on supporting illegal factions through reports IG and on the forums. But, I notice a lot of bad chatter about gang RP and how many guns are in the server, causing a lot of neglect towards illegal factions right now. There is very limited script pushed towards illegal factions, with drugs barely ever being brought by anyone as I believe they offer no benefit right now and also guns seem to have become more scarce meaning it's very hard to make money illegally right now with the state of the script. A few weeks ago, I saw a lot of active factions on their blocks, now it seems very hard to interact with other factions. This doesn't just include making money illegally as there are also very limited ways of making money legally as well. Another addition already mentioned, is graffiti. This is a massive miss right now, as tagging up walls on opposing factions blocks was a major part of RP back on SA-MP and I hope to see this come back soon, along with more features toward illegal RP as a lot of the chatter right now is based on businesses and legal factions such as SD and FD. Appreciate the honesty from you though, Martin. I hope to see the server get to the state we all know it can achieve.

  31. I sent this to Dos Santos as per his request for company feedback, but I'll also leave it here. As someone who just started a company, the biggest problem that I, and many of the other who've recently had their companies accepted, have been facing is mapping. Mapping is incredibly time consuming and the current system is very abysmal and barebones. On top of that, finding a mapper is increasingly difficult. The only active, reliable mapper is Natasha Valentine who is backlogged for weeks with requests. My suggestion is a two-parter. The first part is to upgrade the furniture UI. A few examples of this would be: Allowing for duplication of an object in any direction to avoid having to manually spawn, place and align each floor/wall piece. Allowing flight/noclipping during furnishing. Continuous furnishing. For example, not removing you from the furniture menu every time you save an object. Provide picture previews for objects and furniture in the menu. Allow stacking, which would work the same as duplication except it would connect two different objects. The ability to freeze moving objects. i.e moving lights, rustling leaves and vines. I am by no means a developer so the technical limitations to these are lost on me but having even some of them would GREATLY improve the furnishing experience. The second part would be to create a dedicated staff team for mapping. Since the money used to pay mappers is already reimbursed by staff, I think it would be beneficial to have a team that can be applied for that would basically put you on call for mapping purposes. Instead of staff reimbursing the company owner, staff could just flat out pay members of said mapping team a set amount for the interior they're mapping. Differing amounts based on size, number of floors, number of rooms, etc. This would: Eliminate the drought of active mappers. Eliminate the need to apply and wait for reimbursement Eliminate unrealistic interiors, since the team would be held to a certain standard It would pump money into the economy which people seem to find difficult to come across. As I stated before, I'm still quite new to owning a company on this server but in the relatively short time that I've had one, this has been the biggest obstacle by a significant margin. Mapping in general is irritating, tiresome, time-consuming and inefficient. The need to map a business if you're no good at it can stall RP for weeks at a time while you try to get your business up and running. After having to apply for the business, apply for all the licenses, have a lead admin set up your company and business, you STILL need to pray to god that either you or someone you know personally is capable of mapping because if not, you're simply SOL until Natasha Valentine magically becomes available.

  35. Ah yes, the old "My character is insane, so there's nothing wrong with them doing idiotic shit just to win a scene" excuse. I can 100% see why you were banned, you're extremely self-centred and your attitude is disgusting. I really hope they ban you from this server too (if it ever launches).

  36. Is it not now? So when I donate money it doesn't go to an incorporated entity? I highly doubt it. Either way, let me know when you wish to address everything else I said. I'll quote it again just in case you missed it the first time:

  38. Another delay, no public roadmap to see if any progress is made, useless snippets being posted that don't affect the core script / playability (walkstyles, crouching, fishing script)... Considering LSRP's track record prior to it closing on the SAMP platform, the least you guys could do is give more visibility to what you're all doing because right now it feels like a bunch of empty excuses and apologies while still racking it monthly patreon money.

  39. I don't mind delays but when it's getting to the point where you can't even meet your own deadlines then we have a problem on our hands. I get it, the staff has personal lives but don't scream out random release dates and constantly delay and delay to the point where the community gets really pissed off and leave altogether. Just work on the server and don't announce a date until you're certain that the server is ready to be played on.

  44. Drugs and pistols should be reinvented. There should be gun smuglers that smuggle gun parts. Gun assemblers, and than eventually gun dealers. It should all be done scriptwise, five minute wait time etc. Atm, drugs feels useless. its just an irritating effect, it barely gets used ig. I know people that cant sell their drugs because people don't buy it.

  45. Big respect for actually speaking about the issues openly and being honest, this is just the start for LSRP:V.
