  2. Ppl forget there is a 3 gun limit, idk if per month or permanently till you loose it/report it stolen but what happens if you get robbed and you spent all that money for nothing? Imo illegal guns are more the issue than legal guns and long rifles should be kept cheaper. Let illegal factions get guns like the gun warehouse or whatever the scheme was on old LSRP with unpackaging and whatnot and the people that handle PF apps deny the gang bang RPers. It's not hard to make a 5 min drive-around the hood see the name tags of the usual bangers then look in the PF app and see who they are lol.

  3. If you’re looking to make money on LS-RP and are wondering how to do so, remember there are many ways besides the traditional routes of trucking, lawn mowing and fishing. There are various schemes in place which aim to promote and reward anyone who provides roleplay to the server; whether legal or illegal. This isn’t Euro Truck Simulator after all - it’s a roleplay server! Let’s take a look at some of the options that are available to you right now, broken down into illegal and legal schemes. Illegal Schemes There are many separate schemes in place to help illegal factions thrive, and thus help illegal characters earn some cash. For a full list of schemes click here, but otherwise read below on the ones specifically related to how characters can make money: Contraband Scheme Want to be a smuggler? You don’t just have to limit yourself to the traditional guns and drugs route; why not try smuggling (and selling) cigarettes, alcohol, jewelry and more? The contraband scheme is there to be as flexible as possible, giving your character access to smuggled-in items that they can sell for a profit. Property Scheme Thinking you might have to save up for a big faction property where all your homies can live? Not so - just take a look at the property scheme and make an application for a complex. You’ll even be given the opportunity to furnish in and around your faction’s property for free (for now!). Drugs Scheme There’s money to be made in drug dealing, and it’s not hard to find yourself a supplier through the Darknet. Apply for this scheme and get out on the streets to peddle your wares, trying to make as much profit as you can whilst being careful enough to avoid law enforcement. Weapons Scheme When words aren’t loud enough, a gun usually is. Not everyone has a firearms license though, and not everyone has the cash to buy guns legally. The solution? Think about becoming a dealer in illegal firearms. Signing up for this scheme gives you access to the Darknet, where you can purchase guns in bulk and sell them on the streets for profit. Coming soon: Scenario Scheme Thought of a unique scenario like robbing a gas station, hacking a server, and so on? Watch this space, we’re working on our ‘Scenario Scheme’ which will reward you for certain unique criminal activities - but of course there will always be risk involved! ____ Legal Schemes Want to run a company that’s not necessarily supported by the script at the moment, like a construction firm, news agency or an electrician company? Look no further - we’ll be happy to support you. By meeting just a few requirements you can get roleplaying in no time, and thanks to our company grants scheme, you’ll receive money regularly to help you stay afloat and thrive. Passive Companies Want to run a company that’s not necessarily supported by the script at the moment, like a construction firm, news agency or an electrician company? Look no further - we’ll be happy to support you. By meeting just a few requirements you can get roleplaying in no time, and thanks to our company grants scheme, you’ll receive money regularly to help you stay afloat and thrive. You’ll also receive a property and four vehicles for free! We will always be happy to discuss ways in which your passive company can earn money on the server, and of course we’ll be keeping an eye on suggestions for any script implementations that could make your roleplay more enjoyable. Active Companies (Business Leases) We periodically open up the opportunity for players to apply for business leases, running businesses such as night clubs, bars and restaurants - all of which are currently supported by the script. Think you’ve got what it takes to Simply find a free spot on the map and submit your application. Active Companies - Costs Covered All companies being set up through the business leasing scheme get a variety of benefits, including: Free furniture for the initial fit-out All costs covered for paying staff All costs covered for company advertisements Blips added for businesses on the map We know that active companies in particular are essential for providing roleplaying hubs that really make the city feel alive and immersive, so we’ll be doing everything we can to ensure that these ventures are both profitable and fun to manage. Coming Soon: Government Contracts We know that a massively-requested feature is the ability to run your own company supported by existing script features, such as a logistics or waste management company. This is very high on the priority list, keep an eye on the announcements channel on Discord for when more info is available! We know that many of you love trucking, lawn mowing and fishing, but don’t forget that there are many other avenues open to you for making good money, and this is before we even talk about legal factions like the LSPD, LSSD, LSFD and LS Government - all of which are great options too. The economy is still in its infancy and money is getting pumped into the server slowly and carefully, but there are still plenty of options listed above for making some cash, and more in the pipeline too. The key thing to remember is that we’re a roleplaying server, and we’re happy to consider any idea which rewards good quality roleplay, particularly when it involves interactions between characters. If you have ideas for more schemes, make a suggestion! Even so, we know many of you continue to have concerns about the economy. As such I reached out to Mmartin for further comment, but due to his ever-busy work schedule, we were only able to get a statement from him via his press secretary: “The decisions we’ve made regarding the economy are bold. Bold moves are the ones that shape the future. Apple removed the headphone jack from the iPhone; we removed sports cars from every corner and brought roleplay from the sheets back to the streets.”

  5. Look, I can understand the reasoning for expansive pistols as they're the most used firearms out there and they can be easily concealed and can be ass-pulled. But why in the world is a shotgun 7,000$ and 8,000$ for an M14 rifle? These prices makes no sense at all, I know you guys are trying to reduce the shootouts but at least those type of firearms that requires role-play to carry around should be lowered back to their original prices. I'm not going to role-play going hunting if I can lose 8,000$ which is the totally of my bank account if someone follows and steals me. This is just ridiculous!!! And I'm also including revolvers as they're not used by many since they have a slow reload and low capacity (6 rounds). Which is why I feel heavy pistols (Desert Eagle and Massive Revolvers should be role-played before being pulled out and some might not be even able to be concealed) If you've ever shot a 44 mag or a desert eagle, there's no way in hell you can conceal a S&W 629 lmfao. As I said there's no logic in trying to conceal a massive pistol like a 44 mag or a desert eagle, for reference These below needs to be adjusted back down to their original prices. "Heavy Pistols" Malt Boa -375$ Ruby Goshawk -375$ H&L Bald Eagle -450$ Malt Single Action -350$ Shotguns Malt 1883 (Original price 480$) Knight 500 (Original price 500$) Moore 870 (Original price 600$) Knight 590A1 (Original price 600$) Moore 870G (Original price 620$) Bolt-Action Rifles Springer 1861(Original price 900$) Semi-Automatic Rifles Springer M1A1 (Original price 860$) Futon P14 GBP (Original price 960$) Ruby Mini-41 Tac (Original price 960$) Put these prices back, as these firearms can be used for role-play and I haven't seen these really used in shootouts to be honest as no one walks the street with a 12 gauge or rifle on their backs. Also, heavy pistols shouldn't be able to be concealed.

  6. This proves my point, if a car is 29,000$ in game, a gun cannot be 7000$, thanks What is this 2015? Buddy it's 2023, you won't walk out of a used car lot with a 4,000$ car unless it's a 1998 camry. But this isn't 1:1 real life, we can't pay people 29$ an hour to drive a truck in game, they would need to literally be on 40 hours a week to afford a car payment lmfao. So of course you need to earn more per hour, this is a GAME. Also you cannot live in California with 500$ a week, unless you live in a van or something. I only agreed to make pistols somewhat more expansive, as they are used for crimes and can be easily concealed. Lmfao what drugs are you smoking? If you can't afford 400$ for a 12 gauge mossberg 500 right now, then you are below the poverty line sorry to be blunt. The average person in california can go to a bass pro shop, and walk out with a 12 gauge pump shotgun for 400$, and you can walk out with a decent hunting rifle with a decent optic for 600-700$. Let me try to follow your logic.... *Thinks* Ah, I see, you never held a firearm in real life and clearly never went hunting. Ironically, except for sport hunters (Which I despise) hunting is a very cheap hobby. Let me even prove it to you. In California to hunt, you need a license which is about 60$, alright. Then you need a firearm let's say you want to go deer hunting. You'll need camo clothes, add 150$. Then you need a rifle with a scope, let's say 300$ for a vortex 3-9 scope, and add a decent rifle like a Ruger American 308 for like 450$. Which totals about 900$ and you're set to go hunting, for multiple years with this gear. So yeah 900$ for a complete decent hobby isn't exactly a lot of money. So, now that we proved that hunting is clearly not a very expansive hobby and that someone with a regular wage can go hunting, it debunks that it's a privilege. Stop tossing around the word privilege without actually knowing what it means... Here's so stats for you since you compared Los Santos to LA. Do you know that only less than 10% of americans do not have a vehicle.... So you're telling me that 90% of the us citizens are privileged???? TLDR, yes if you make 500$ a week as a paycheck, you are classified as poor and yes then all of the above would be a privilege but heck a garbage collector in LA makes around 50000$ a year. Here's the definition of privileged according to the Cambridge dictionary as you don't understand what a privilege is. an advantage that only one person or group of people has, usually because of their position or because they are rich: Here's to prove that owning a car isn't a privilege. https://www.forbes.com/advisor/car-insurance/car-ownership-statistics/

  7. You both make good points, but I think it all depends on where we (the community) want to see ourselves in the next few years. I also disagree that going hunting is a privilege, as I have many people around me who actually go hunting while struggling financially, and mind you I come from the country where the average salary is much lower than in California - plus guns cost a lot more as there are transportation fees added to the original prices, plus the commission the store takes, and even then it's a lot less than what we see on the server. So this argument would not even cut melted butter, let alone any other argument given here. In general, I agree. Players shouldn't be interested in creating new characters just to take the PF license and then distribute weapons for financial gain. Also, there is no OOC rule anymore - Which is good. I think it should be handled IC since the current script allows us to do that, so there's no reason to prevent people from roleplaying. Okay so, I think, there's simple miscommunication between you two, and don't kill me for that 😄 1-Why were the prices increased in the first place? Was that because of OOC rule being removed and now server is desperate to somehow regulate the gun flow or is there any other reason? 2-Do we want illegal factions to have unlimited/uncontrollable supply of weapons and ammunition? 3-Is the regulation fair to the rest of the community that doesn't abuse their PF license? 4-Are the prices reasonable considering server economy and it's proportion to IRL economy? 5-Are we playing the game or living in the game? I'm dropping white flag over here and I believe prices should correspond to real life prices. Not revert, but become realistic. I think staff acknowledges the issue and that is the reason why solo scheme was implemented. They will get it right, eventually. P.S. Bro... It's obvious you are in PD/SD 😄 😄 @Wesson P.P.S. Literally whole humanity was hunting before homo erectus developed😄 😄 Yeah.. If you were a good hunter, you got privileged, but hunting, never in human history, was considered a privilege. Question remains - Where are you from? 😄

  8. I'll resume your whole arguments. "Hunting is a privilege, owning a gun is a privilege, owning a long rifle is a privilege" No it was never a privilege ever, hunting and owning guns is a very common if we compare it with real life, as I said you clearly don't know anything about those. They shouldn't be a privilege, and yes we compare things to real life..... "You need to take care of your rifle and not get it stolen." I'm tired of you saying the same thing over and over. You DO NOT GET THE POINT. Yes players aren't trying to actively get robbed. But robberies are so common that it's like a hobby for some. "Take care of your rifle, it's your responsibility, blah blah blah" Okay, cool I get it, but if I get it stolen I shouldn't have to grind 20+ hours to go back to doing passive role-play that brings something else than freaking crimes and shootouts. Keep gate-keeping role-play behind massive grind walls and see what happens to the playerbase of the server, the decision to increase gun prices to the point of a gun being worth as much a car is an absolute joke when we're supposed to have a realistic economy and prices. And yes a beer is 25$ but even in a world where a drink is 25$ a gun would be worth at most 1500$. But alright let's do it your way and limit role-play and drop player count like fly. People like you are a nuisance to the server clearly. You are trying to fix a problem with radical decisions that aren't thought through. I'm done replying with you, you are not getting the bigger picture that decisions like increasing the price ten fold is a bad idea, and the solution is not to increase price. People afk grind, get a gun and go back to their daily "deathmatching". No one wants to dish out a 1-2 months income for a rifle.....

  9. Well, brace yourselves, folks, because the "smoke and mirrors" expert has chimed in. Optics, attachments, self-defense, hunting – congrats, you've managed to throw virtual grenades of irrelevance left and right. But hold up, here's a reality check: while you're getting lost in your argument maze, the rest of us are pointing out the utter ridiculousness of base rifle and shotgun prices. And just when I thought the hunting spiel was done, here comes another round /facepalm. I don't know where you live, but hunting is far from being a privilege, it's a really affordable hobby and not hard to get into, at all. And here's a thought, if we're constantly being robbed on this server, why should we be grinding away like mindless idiots for hours to get access back to a rifle that isn't going to be used in a crime? The amount of crimes on the server makes it IMPOSSIBLE to keep that firearm safely easily, yeah I think 1000-2000$ for a base rifle is fine, just make attachments super expansive then, I don't care if my rifle has only 5 rounds in it, my goal isn't to go at war against Talibans but to enjoy firearm related roleplay that isn't a crime without having to worry of losing a month's income if I get it stolen.

  10. Good luck. Last time I suggested some form of role play quality control people said that this is subjective as hell and who is anyone to tell anyone what is quality and what isn't. Staff also said that staff is already doing their job in punishing non-rpers.

  11. TLDR: People evade the police and shoot them up, yet only to avoid a speeding ticket, because said people are not here to roleplay. I don't give a damn on what they say, how they try to spin it or what full of shit, far-reaching justification they have. They aren't role players and they aren't here to role play. The server is treated like an RPG (not text based rp) and they are just looking for their daily dose of action. The administration is hesitant to react and bring down the hammer on this behaviour, because the server is barely holding on to life as far as online numbers are concerned. The "playerbase" that we're discussing is probably a quarter of it. The biggest problem is that roleplayers are interested in and attracted to roleplay. Newcomers will join the server, try it out, and depending on their experience they will stay or go. Well, there's a 25% chance (take my statistics with a grain of salt) that their experience will be rather negative, or if not experience, then at least impression. I don't care for low level anti robbery rules and etc. Stupid behaviour is stupid and you don't have to be robbed. Sometimes just witnessing it is enough. So, we're in this cursed circle of where we can't just instaban the RPGers if we want the server to be remotely alive, and we are also not as appealing as we could be to new people, because the server feels like it's full of guys banned for non-sense and DM on GTA:W and they just moved in here. How do we fix it without instabanning people? C o n s e q u e n c e s
