  1. Hello, We're following up yesterday's 1.3 Feature Update with a patch to address some bugs and minor additions. Perhaps most importantly, we're enabling the Vehicle Theft script for everyone to try. We understand that it may be discouraging to have a lot of the illegal features locked behind a scheme or an application, so we'll try a different approach when implementing new features for the illegal scene. We'll start by opening it up with an attempt to balance it to the best of our ability, and then if it causes issues (such as overwhelming amount of vehicle thefts in this case), we'll continue to balance the script out until it fits well into the server. A lot of thought goes into these features so we want you to try them and enjoy them fully. This of course doesn't mean all schemes will become available to everyone, but we'll continue in our effort to make them more accessible and allow individuals to apply for some of them too. The changelog for today's patch is: - Fixed issue with inventory not loading if it had too many (~100+) of items. It will load the first 70 that you can move to access the rest - Vehicle theft has been made accessible to everyone level 4 and above for the time being - Added more vehicle theft containers, max 10 thefts can happen at once - Added max. amount of vehicle stolen over a rolling 8 hour period, currently set to 30 - Added messages sent to LSPD/LSSD when medics go on duty - Added /tems for LSFD - /outfit inside company and faction properties - Fix /setstation inside vehicles - Fix for businesses not getting correct visitor reward - Fix for company vehicles not being added for newly created companies We're planning another feature update ahead of this weekend to introduce long awaited Roadblock script. Spike strips are also in the works, but I'm not sure if we manage to push these out this week or the next so don't want to promise it yet. Some other bits currently being worked on are auto low settings per-player and per-property, graffiti system (not behind a scheme!), and more. Additionally, we've changed our #git settings to also include pushes into branches other than the master branch. This means you'll now see what our development is working on that wasn't merged into master or fully approved yet; so take it at that face value - what's being cooked. So keep in mind not everything will necessarily be brought to the table, too.

  2. Hello again on this wonderful Sunday, Today we're releasing an update to bring new features for illegal factions, more quality of life stuff for players and many bug fixes. In this update we focused on mostly quality of life additions with one major new feature that affects the whole server. As you may have seen in #snippets on our Discord server, we have created an immersive way for certain players to interact with vehicles. Use of this feature will be limited to certain illegal factions that can access the Vehicle Theft scheme, so if you want to take part, make sure you know how to evade the cops! As a side note, factions with access to the vehicle theft scheme are expected to also delegate the thieving of vehicles to other factions and players - a player shouldn't have to be in your faction to go and steal a car. Go find some poor sucker on a street corner and tell him you need a new SUV - surely you don't want to attract police attention to your faction! If your car is stolen and sent away by pesky vehicle thieves, you cannot spawn it for 1 hour after it is delivered, so make sure you protect your car with the latest security upgrades if you need to use it. Rest assured, though, as once your car is stolen, it cannot be stolen again for 24 hours so you've got plenty of time to get that bread and splash out for an immobiliser. We will begin giving access to the vehicle theft scheme during the course of the week. Individuals (not in a faction) will also be able to apply for the scheme, and they will be put into a special "car thieves" faction to gain access to the scheme. This will be a test run for opening up other faction-only schemes to individual players! Keep an eye out for more information being posted in the coming week. If you haven't seen, the video, you can find it on our Discord server in the #snippets channel. The full changelog is: - Added vehicle theft feature - Added /spellcheck - Added /resetpos (bindable in /keybinds, default F3) to reset your position to an interior's /exit point - Added /fixcar for faction members to fix their vehicles at faction properties (for free) or company-owned garages (for a cost to the faction) - Added the ability to /uniform anywhere - Added faction /duty time tracking for faction leaders - Added furniture function tags (so far, only "door" and "music) available for admins to add to furniture hashes - Added ability to /setstation on any furniture with the function tag "music" (so you can play music inside your house now) - Added /inmates to see how many prisoners there are online and offline - Added "other government employees" to /onduty - Added permission to hide people from /onduty, i.e. for hospital staff that do not count as first responders - Added the ability to use both company vehicles AND personal vehicles for the taxi job using /mission - Added a message when pressing F8 to explain how to take screenshots that save without any extra software - Changed chat limit to 256 characters instead of 128 - Changed bleedout time to be 50% speed, so you can bleed for longer before dying - Changed /door to only work on furniture hashes that have the function tag "door" - Changed /fill to now always use the faction bank, even if it is empty - Changed /mission for taxis so you no longer get warned for being inactive on your mission - Changed driver's licences to renew in 6 months rather than 1 month - Changed vehicle registrations to renew in 6 months rather than 21 days - Fixed some undershirt clothing objects that clipped through outer jackets - Fixed company vehicles not loading in /mdc Foreign Section Those eagle-eyed amongst you will have seen we have now set up our Foreign Section and have opened sections for 18 different languages and have opened suggestions in that section for more to be added, if there is enough support from the community. We will only be opening sections that have active moderation that speak the language, keep in mind! The rules in these sections is the same as the regular forum rules, with the exception of requiring you to speak English. These sections are moderated by the Foreign Section Team, which comprises @Mikee as its head and @Daidough as its assistant head. Feel free to take a look through the posts there and engage in other languages, whether you're simply learning German or are a native Arabic speaker, these sections are for you! Legal Faction Updates We have heard loud and clear from both members of legal factions and the people affected by them that something is not quite right. We have gathered lots of feedback over the past week and understand where the issues lie - for faction members, a lack of trust in the average player, too many guns in the server, and bugs not being fixed promptly, or a lack of necessary script features. Rest assured, we have heard them and are now working on the most requested features (roadblocks, spike strips, etc) as a priority, and have taken a step towards placing more trust in our players with the ability to use /uniform anywhere. Perhaps we are still leaning on our experience of SA-MP, when most people in this community were in their mid-teens and not as patient as they were now - we are still learning here, so please keep giving us feedback where you think we could do better! We do understand that some features need to be moderated, however, especially ones that give huge advantages over others. For this reason, the use of police helicopters for patrol is being reviewed through a lens of realism as we believe that they are used far too often for things that the city would not spend millions in operating costs on, for example regular patrolling of gang neighbourhoods. Something we have already implemented is the requirement for police to not engage with gang members or gang neighbourhoods too often. We understand that it should be a risk to stand outsdide and deal drugs on the street corner, but at the same time, we don't want to force all this roleplay to take place inside a house. Police presence in gang neighbourhoods, specifically Davis, should reduce - unless of course you're planning on starting a war with a rival gang, don't forget the LSSD has a patrol station in Davis and they will show up to any shootings!

The Special Operations Division provides support to all units within the Department and mutual aid assistance to outside agencies via its various bureaus and details, including Air Support for pursuits or rescue operations, as well as a tactical response to high-risk situations. The Special Enforcement Bureau Special Enforcement Detail SED is the 48-person, full-time, special weapons team tasked with high-risk warrant service, barricaded suspect resolution, hostage rescue, dignitary protection and maritime operations. SED on average handles 220 to 260 tactical operations per year for the department’s 42 contract cities, unincorporated county areas and mutual aid requests from other agencies. Additionally, SED conducts training for other LSSD members, personnel from a wide array of outside law enforcement agencies and military personnel. When not actively deployed on a tactical operation, SED members continuously train on a variety of core SWAT skills that include maritime interdiction and tactical explosive breaching. Emergency Services Detail Initially conceived as a full-time search and rescue unit, the Emergency Services Detail (ESD) quickly morphed into one of the most unique assignments within law enforcement. ESD members were the first in the country to achieve certified paramedic rating for fulltime law enforcement officers, and that practice continues today to include ESD supervisors. ESD personnel provide Tactical Emergency Medical Support to SEB Special Weapons Teams and to outside agencies upon request. Additionally, they conduct mountain searchand-rescue operations, underwater search and recovery, and swift water rescue operations for the Sheriff’s Department. ESD paramedics and crew chiefs staff the department’s Air Rescue 5 Super Puma helicopters. The ESD members on AIR-5 can provide rapid deployment of tactically trained and equipped personnel to active shooter/hostile events and other emergency incidents throughout Los Santos County and beyond. The ability to traverse the highly congested 4,000-square-mile county of Los Santos through the air provides a tactical response that would otherwise be significantly delayed by ground transport. Canine Services Detail In 1980, the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department began a pilot program with police service dogs. Since that time, Canine Service Detail members and their partners have developed and proved invaluable in not only providing assistance on high-risk searches for patrol operations but also as completely integrated members on the Special Weapons Team. CSD members complete approximately 400 searches per year and respond to all Special Weapons Team activations. All CSD K9s are single purpose apprehension dogs with one exception. CSD has the only tactically certified bloodhound program in California. The tactical bloodhound program allows for the search for high-risk suspects who may have escaped containment and are deemed too dangerous for a normal bloodhound team. CSD hosts a 30-hour Canine/ SWAT integration course twice a year. Participants come from a multitude of law enforcement agencies and U.S. military units. CSD teams are capable of rapid response with other SEB details during active shooter or other emergency scenarios and possess the ability to fast rope and/or rappel with their K9 partners. The Aero Bureau The Aero Bureau performs aerial support services using various types of aircraft and is responsible for: 1) investigating violations of regulations governing flight of aircraft and prosecuting offenders, 2) investigating all fatal or serious aircraft accidents, 3) granting permission to land aircraft on, performing maintenance on, and continuing the certification of all helipads under the control of the Department and 4) providing airplanes and/or helicopters and flight crews. Custody Services Division Custody Operations consists of three custody services divisions: General Population, Specialized Programs, and Administration Command. Each division has distinct areas of responsibility. These divisions are responsible for the operation of the Department’s jail system and for the care, custody, security, and rehabilitation of all sentenced and pretrial inmates housed within the Los Santos County Sheriff’s Department’s jail facilities.

  5. You can set your own badge numbers on these PD, SD, and FD badges. Badge base and number arrangement subject to change. By no means an official resource, just something I knocked together 🙂 https://tools.modvirtual.uk/lsrp/badges/ Updated to reflect new LSPD 4-digit serial number format. Updated to include a toggle link on the LSPD badge between 5 digits and 4.

  6. I understand where you're coming from, but no matter how much we yearn for the 'golden days', those time are in the past. The older generation had a great time with SAMP, but the newer generation or new players would probably never play with SAMP graphics. The server is new and still undergoing heavy development. We should give it some time to grow.

  13. In the event that GTA V doesn't work out due to rampant competition and the fact that, well, the game is completely soulless and shit compared to SA with a map way too big, this is what I think should happen: Create a new script, potentially on a new platform if better options than SAMP exist. Unban everyone, send out a mass email to every single player who ever registered informing them, attach a full install guide that provides the game so people don't have to torrent it/downgrade. Loosen the application process, this probably eliminated 50%+ of the potential playerbase and we have chatgpt now to cheat the application anyhow. Limit admin and police power compared to LSRP. LSRP went downhill when admins started to take it too seriously and enforced their view of what the server should be on everyone, it used to have a niche for absolutely everything. If you wanted to act like an idiot, the Idlestack and Mall were there. If you wanted serious RP, you joined a faction. The foreigners with broken English were great if you thought of them as a more advanced form of NPC and they filled the world up with activity. Let IC be IC, too many times fun spontaneous situations like riots, bat vs gun (dumbest rule, you could be attacking first and they scroll a gun and you get ajailed) or "Non-RP driving" were shut down by admins because they didn't understand that this was a GTA game first and foremost. Character concepts should never be cracked down on unless they're completely ridiculous. Ban DMers. Restrict the map to this area initially and expand as needed: https://i.imgur.com/AWdxLGx.png (could also get rid of Blueberry/Montgomery if necessary) - 500 players on GTA V feels like 100 on SA In the era of Discord advertising + a mass email, an SA LSRP server could easily hit the peaks it used to. The hype would be immense for it.

  15. More things I gotta apply for when I can't even get the things I've already applied for...and have been waiting for a month now... yay. I can't even get a refund request to come through for a CONFIRMED bug. I can't even get the refund for the 5k I paid someone for a interior design out of pocket due to admins taking so long to do so in the first place. Now I gotta wait even longer if I wanna be a filthy criminal scumbag and wanna steal cars. I'm not trying to be a dickhead but like having to apply for all these things and not getting a response or even granted refunds for CONFIRMED bugs...is shit. Yall need more staff to upkeep with requests or a different system. Edit: You need people willing to do the job they signed up for. I've been an admin for numerous communities in the past and never was ignoring people an option or even reasonable. If you're busy with life, that's understandable...but someone should take over and not leave people hanging, specially when ur server has 70 ppl during peek time.
