  2. Completely agree with this and @SCANDALOUZ. I feel that the staff team should be far more transparent when it comes to business applications and their content, as well as how businesses are able to make a profit. I understand that "business profit" in general is an issue they're addressing, but I completely agree that all this red tape is getting ridiculous. Another point I'd like to make is in regards to the script jobs and the lack of general income to purchase things like cars, property, etc. Most of us here are in our mid-twenties to late thirties IRL. I know lots of the SAMP/OG LS-RP players certainly are and I'm getting there at the age of 23 already. I cannot speak for everyone but speaking for the faction and group of roleplayers I run with, the general consensus is that many of us have lives IRL that require engagement and lots of time to do. In order to do much of anything without having a business, having a scheme, or being in an official faction, you have to spend countless hours grinding script jobs. The aforementioned roleplayers in my faction and I come here for the roleplay, not necessarily to sit and drive a truck around for hours. It's entertaining for a while but when it starts to stand in between accomplishing the goals of a faction or character in RP, it becomes fruitless. Just some thoughts from 12+ year text-only roleplayer on a variety of platforms and mediums. As an adendum to this, I don't exactly know what the correct answer is, but giving more opportunities to make some money that doesn't require scripty grinding would be good.

  3. This. I'm 27 and basically pushing 30, I've got a job and commitments that won't allow me to grind in a virtual world, at best I'm able to play two hours late at night if not less, I believe certain schemes should be accessible to individuals such as contraband so they can improve their finances while enjoying some roleplay during it, along with maybe getting more lenient when it comes to company and business apps to allow individuals a better chance at it. If a player is attempting to provide creative and quality roleplay, I personally believe they should be supported instead of having them waste a few hours per week just to finance themselves. tldr, we should reward people for roleplaying, whether they're a group of friends or simply individuals doing their own things, as long as they're providing quality roleplay I don't see a reason to lock anything behind meaningless requirements such as time on server or the number of friends they have to run a business venture.

  4. Foreword There are 2 ways to play blackjack. The first is with /dice and the second is with /rnumber 13. I think everyone knows ”/dice blackjack” which is using /dice that rolls 1-6, you play up to 21 and the player goes first. Now, dice blackjack originated from Habbo casinos in the early 2000s using a piece of furniture called HoloDice where you could roll between the numbers 1-6 similar to /dice. Another similar game was 13 based on the exact same rules. However, /rnumber was introduced in LSRP SAMP in the early 2010s, and /rnumber 13 became the most optimal way to play real blackjack. The general player base never changed from /dice to /rnumber, and since /dice blackjack wasn't prohibited and casino owners weren't encouraged to use /rnumber only a handful of players (mostly in organized crime circles) adopted the optimal way to play. It's been some 20 years since Habbo so it's time realistic blackjack with /rnumber 13 was played across the board, and /dice blackjack died its death. It's an ancient relic of the early RPG era of SAMP and not a good standard of roleplay. That's only my opinion but no owner or manager of a legal gambling establishment should be allowed to deal /dice blackjack in 2023. Guide The way realistic blackjack with /rnumber 13 works is very easy. The values are as follows: 1 is Ace (1/11) 2 is 2 3 is 3 4 is 4 5 is 5 6 is 6 7 is 7 8 is 8 9 is 9 10 is 10 11 is Jack (10) 12 is Queen (10) 13 is King (10) Based on probabilities, that's the most accurate system. To play, the dealer deals themselves the first card face-up then the player hits until they stand, and the dealer completes the hand. That's the easiest and most optimal way to play bar none. Advanced players can implement double downs, splits, surrenders, rule variations, etc. which I need not explain.

  11. The economy is perfect as is. I've barely had to grind and I'm pretty well off right now, in the sense that I got everything I need but there for sure is some street about getting enough money by Sunday to pay off the rent and car loan. And that's fine and realistic. This is not SAMP where you can just buy a 1.2M house and buy your Bullet and go chill at the mall. You can't buy expensive shit from the get go and that's perfectly fine the way it is. Speaking from the gang roleplay POV, selling drugs and having those sales actually matter money-wise and not be done just for the RP is a huge improvement, same thing for selling guns. I've made all of my money IC-ly through roleplay and I'm sure there are a lot of ways you could do that as well. Whatever happens just for the love of God don't fuck up the economy again so we have to sell pistols for 20k and M4s for 100k and a house in the hood runs you a few Ms. This is a fresh start.

  12. I honestly had so many interactions that are nostalgic to me, dating back to 6 years ago. I recently went through my imgur album with all the pictures that I ever took and it brings a smile to my face every single time I go through them. Stuff like being dead nervous for the LSPD's post examination results to wearing the blue trainee uniform in the SASD as a DSG.

  14. Oh, hello there, [Player's Name], We are just over the moon thrilled to read your oh-so-constructive criticism of our roleplay server. The level of sarcasm you've sprinkled throughout your post is simply astonishing. But fear not, dear player, we are more than ready to respond in kind. You see, we are absolutely delighted that transitioning to a realistic and immersive economy has left you feelin' all warm and fuzzy inside. We apologize profusely for creating a system that challenges your desire for instant gratification. Who needs meaningful progression anyway, right? We'll definitely take note and revise our entire approach to cater exclusively to your whims. Ah, the favoritism accusation. That's a real gem right there. We are thrilled to inform you that our team members have been secretly organizing favoritism parties, where we hand out all the goodies to our dearest friends while you, my friend, are left toiling away for minimum wage. It's like a modern-day fairy tale, where only the chosen ones receive the treasures of the land. We are truly grateful for your suggestion to abandon any sense of realism and hand out duffel bags filled with virtual goodies without any justification whatsoever. Who needs immersive roleplay when we can just throw random items at players without rhyme or reason? It's the recipe for unparalleled excitement, isn't it? But fret not, because we have been diligently working on our ego-stroking skills. Nothing brings us more pleasure than making everyone dance to our arbitrary rules while we sit back and bask in our supreme authority. You are absolutely correct in assuming that none of our admins will ever experience the agony of spending hours on end fishing at Del Pierro pier. We just sip martinis and laugh maniacally as you grind away, my friend. In conclusion, we are truly humbled by your incredible insight and wisdom. Your suggestions will undoubtedly guide us on the path to becoming the greatest server of all time. We hope you continue to bless us with your delightful presence and your invaluable feedback. Sarcastically yours, [Your Team Name]
