  1. The following snippet was posted in #snippets on the LSRP discord, showcasing the vehicle plate system. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/880180046835367947/971930684874694696/plateeesystem.mp4 The new license plate that is being put on reads 17MAYRP. Is this a hint to the release date?!?
  2. I've read through your post and the replies that were given but I got to disagree with you on this. I understand where you are coming from and my nostalgia of LS-RP also gives me all those comebacks and memories. Every now and then I go through the screenshots that I took or the videos that I made and just chuckle at how much fun I had. I remember 5th and 6th street (if I recall correctly) and how dangerous it was for you to be around. Or how main street was packed with vehicles for Octopussy. Or how Idlestacks always had something going on. Those are just memories and nostalgia. I've moved on from that era and if I would go back and play in such a setting, I'd probably get bored of how the roleplay standard was or how unrealistic it was. Most people who have played during that time have matured, grown older and realized what kind of setting LSRP was back then. I'm not saying that I hate it since I enjoyed it so much but I have grown an interest in the roleplay that you describe. The more slow laid back roleplay that goes way more in-depth. I'm not for a 1:1 simulator or a super realistic server but I doubt anyone wants that. People value their characters way more now and create a story that fits their character (most people, you still have questionable roleplayers).
  3. ill probably have a red flag behind my name now hoi politie
  4. What was the server's ruling on this entire matter, since I can not find any official one that sets it in stone. I'm in agreement with everything that you posted since I do think it's the right way to go, the only problem that I have and what I find hard to ''accept'' is the picture that you posted with how it would lay in the land. While I definitely understand the current map and that we shouldn't roleplay it as an island, I find it hard to accept that the island is from a lore side. If I drive around the state, all I see is water around it and it would be weird for me to accept that I from this point of view be able to just drive off the map to whatever location in the US. Unless this is something that will be advertised big to new players and seen everywhere, I highly doubt that everyone who joins and plays on this server will be known with how the lore is supposed to be roleplayed and make mistakes/cause confusion. Sure, driving from one side to the other side in town within minutes is unrealistic as well but that's easier to accept then to RP being connected to the mainland. EDIT: Maybe if this would be accepted, perhaps it could be included in the initial application to join the server on the UCP. So once you create an account, you will see it on a homepage where it is briefly outlined (( SAN FIERRO, LAS VENTURAS, LIBERTY CITY, ETC ARE ALL NOT ROLEPLAYED, REFER TO THE IRL COUNTERPARTS ))
  5. Yes, the prison that is in-game will be used and ran by the LSSD. I'm most certain that there will be interiors for you to roleplay in.
  6. I think these are some great ideas that could bring some roleplay to the cultural table. I've always been interested in creating an own radio station which could be played in-game but lack the knowledge on how to do so.
  7. iPhone 13 pro max or something
  8. You posted it in the general discussions board for everyone in the community to talk about and to give their opinion. If this was only for faction management, you should've PMed them your proposal. I do not see why you can not answer those questions on this thread, so that everyone else sees it and can discuss.
  9. By the way, to add to this. On GTAW we barely had people who wanted to roleplay parole or probation, even when issued by the courts. Making a whole faction for this is just going to waste time for everyone involved. If there is not a parolee/probation online, then there is nothing to do. Timezones are an issue which made doing roleplay even harder. At peak time, we had 5 active files on parolees but that didn't mean they played every single day. You can also not do a checkup or a test every day on the same person because you will interrupt their roleplay and time. This doesn't even justify a faction on it's own.
  10. Because I want to get an understanding in how versed you are in this topic, hence why I asked my questions that you avoided. I'd still like an answer to these questions, otherwise I doubt you'll be capable to lead such an organization. The reason why it should be explained is because you are making a suggestion for a faction. I am not sure if you have ever been in a position of setting up a faction or bureau, but you don't just put down a simple summary and then think you'll be convincing enough.
  11. It seems to me that your goal is to lead an law enforcement agency by all the suggestions and the posts that you have made. Can you explain to me what the difference between probation and parole? What are you going to do on a day to day basis? How would a checkup on a parolee/probationer take place? With respect, what you've written is something that anyone can just write up with minimal research. I don't really see this as a serious suggestion by the fact that it's so little. You explain your background, then the faction's minimal background, then lay out basic information about what you will do and then some conclusion. Faction's don't get stumped out from the ground by a simple 500 word topic and I highly doubt you are going to convince anyone in this community without having a proper plan.
  12. I believe the vote shows an overwhelming majority choosing for the first option, it replacing California. I'm personally not sure what Ben's reply answers when it comes to what we are roleplaying, other than that we are an island. Without all the political talk, I'd like to just see an answer with ''we are replacing California'' or ''we are not replacing California''.
  13. I admire your enthusiasm in suggesting and supporting your idea You say ''We’d strictly focus on “neighborhood watch,” business & property stationary observation, assisting SD with bailiff duties, school area enforcement, residential area enforcement & so on.'' which is something that both the LSPD and the LSSD already do or can do themselves. Having a third LEO agency ''support'' them in their duties is only going to cause conflicts in terms of policies and procedures that are different. Sometimes having to deal with one other agency is already hard as it is, let alone two. Mentioning that your faction would be the Gruppe 6 of the LEO's is kinda turning me off, I'm not sure if that is a good selling point. You depend on both the agencies which in my opinion, a faction never should. A faction should be a standalone faction and can run independently. I stick with my previous post, if we want a third LEO, we should choose from one that fits the lore and the area better, when the time is right. Lastly, this ''It won’t fail the game if this is implemented, I’ll promise that. This is a nice idea in my opinion, and you all will have to see it in action to truly understand.'' has been said a ton of times in previous communities when suggesting a similar idea. I remember a certain faction that started off like this but currently only has about 20 members and serves no real purpose.
