  1. Hi. This concern was also addressed recently. Members of the Sheriff's Department were instructed to patrol in other areas as well, such as Vespucci, fishing piers, and other areas that could use some attention. The only time you should see a serious influence of Sheriff's Department around gang neighborhoods is when their is an increase of violence, shootings, and/or what we refer to as a Mobilization Phase. In the event you see someone that seems to be turf camping, please let me know.

  2. I'm not even gonna get into all that because you already know that last sentence is bullshit, especially considering the fact that you've been in SD for years. As mentioned before, how exactly would merging the two make anything better at all? Trying to unite things into one is only going to remove diversity and make current active members of both factions who have been nothing but loyal to this server consider leaving altogether. If anything, now is the time legal factions need to drop shitty arguments like these that clearly offer no substance whatsoever and remain active while the illegal side of things picks up on its' own through updates etc. bringing back players.

  3. In regards to the surplus of LEOs, I've talked with @lynx and we will be working together to combat these issues. Recruitment and reinstatements for both factions will be closed until further notice therefore we're not adding more numbers to either faction. Both factions will keep transfers open to allow LEOs to go from one faction to another, if they desire. If anyone has any concerns regarding LSSD, you may bring them up to myself or @jack. If you have any concerns with LSPD, you may bring them up with @lynx. Let's get back onto other topics that'll help the community.

  4. Removing either of the LEO factions won't result in a bigger playerbase. The issue is not LEO activity. The issue is how do we get civilians/illegals to start playing. From the Sheriff's point of view. We received many applications last recruitment drive and 10+ people have been inducted. Many of them are extremely active, both ingame and SD's Discord Server. They are highly motivated and have been playing when there's barely any players on. Are they in the wrong for wanting to play? Why should they be hindered in doing so? This in no way this makes people not log in and play, especially not civilian roleplayers. So why should SD suffer from this? Get non-LEO players motivated to play. That's where the problem is. Merging or disbanding might be the dumbest idea right here. SD has received many transfers from PD since the changes in PD's command. SD has also been generally more active than PD. The rest of the stuff I'm reading here is some big cope.

  5. Funny of you to mention how SD has "always" been more active than PD. I can recall multiple times where PD has been way more active than SD so I'd suggest for you to open your eyes and realize that most people do not enjoy playing when the number of cops exceeds the civilians and illegal roleplayers. Clearly if there was a choice to pick between PD and SD then the LSPD would be the obvious one considering we are roleplaying in the city and it wouldn't make sense to have a sheriff's department patrol LS, that's why.

  6. Is Martin actually going to read the "We need to talk" comments or what? As of right now the server is shit, gets max 70ish players, no factions around it's all just people who play the game like it's habbo hotel. Read the comments and atleast try to make a change. Everyone's saying the same thing in the comments.

  7. From the replies, it seems we got into this issue as several members brought up a concern that it’s difficult to do criminal roleplay when a patrol car is circling the block every 5 minutes. As for this, I wonder if it would be more “fair” to have a proportion that makes sense. For example, for every 10 players, 2 may be on-duty law enforcement. At 50 players, that would mean a ratio of 40 non-LEO to 10 LEO. At 100 players, that would be 80:20. It would probably make the most sense to do it as a script addition restricting the /duty command if the proportion is exceeded. Thats just my two cents. - - - As for the other problems, the decreasing player base from my view is due to an insufficient value proposition. Players are currently faced with a dilemma of whether to choose a higher population with more script features and more roleplay opportunities, or to choose the server they’ve played for years and hope its offering gets better in time. This is nothing more than an issue of incentive and economics — people will go where their time is best invested, and right now that isn’t here (which isn’t a bad thing, it’s an opportunity to face facts and improve). Personally, I think the other server is garbage because of how factions are run, the way laws are created, and the emphasis on RPG-style gameplay over truly-realistic roleplay. There are many examples throughout business in which the underdog has, through persistence and continuous improvement, overcome an industry leader— LSRP is no different, other than it was once the industry leader and now must claw its way back to the top. It’ll happen, we just need to throw our support behind those who are working to give us what we desire in a roleplay server.

  8. u cant see our perspective because your one of them, regardless of how many players the server once had or has now, or when recruitment is open or not, it is a absolute fact that this server was way too populated with cops, i played non stop since release till a few weeks back and every other player was a cop, using the excuse of gang members arent active anymore is not true at all, it has always been like this, you lot would drive around Davis non stop thirsty for arrests, I said it back then that power hungry cops that dont give a fuck about other peoples perspective in RP and just wanna arrest arrest arrest to satisfy their own enjoyment will ruin the server, and we can talk about lack of features/updates and whatnot, but a factor in the player base dropping has 100% been because people just got fed up of cops on their dick 24/7

  9. This doesn't make sense. SD realistically has more jurisdiction - both city and county.

  10. Honestly @Mikeythe only thing that "removing LSSD" will fix is the issues we have within the LEO factions. E.g not enough FTOs to take trainees, not enough sergeant trainers, no one wants to lead X division or Y assignment. And as Jerome mentioned, you're a Staff Officer in PD, so sure. Let me have my Captain assignment, let Jerome have his commander assignment, let Jack have his faction leader assignment, let Brasi have his co-leader assignment. We can /NOT/ close it down. Put yourself in our shoes. What if you were Executive Staff in SD and then LFM says "Oh guys, we're closing down SD sorry you will have to transfer" and then you got Sergeant instead? Screw the ranks, it's about the amount of work you put in to achieve what you've achieved just for it to be taken from you. Closing down a LEO faction won't solve any issue we have in terms of playerbase. Because I for example dont like any other type of roleplay aside from LEO, so removing me from SD will just make me not wanna play anymore. And that's the case for many other players. It won't cause myself or someone else like me to say "Well, rip. I'll just go be a civilian or look for an illegal faction to roleplay with."

  11. Merging the two LEO factions together is a big no and imposibble if you look at it. Both factions have different structures and not to mention staffed executive and command teams. If you merge them together some people will either have to be removed from the faction or reducted to a lower rank&assignment. As far as the "lower the cop count" argument, I'd like to humbly state that in a server of 60-80 people, there are approximately 10-20 LEO's which is okay in my opinion. Considering that most of the LEO PB is SD, we have just about enough people to patrol the entirety of Los Santos and have sufficient assistance if 2 different situations were to be present at the same time. And even if what I just said was wrong, how are you planning on reducing the LEO PB? Just start removing people saying "Hey we don't need you."? People put time and effort into this faction. I know a few people that invest their time in this faction like it's their real life job, grinding so that an infrastructure can be built for others to enjoy the server and the faction. And a note on improving the RP quality; I'm pretty sure (For both LSSD and LSPD) the last thing you'd look into in regards of roleplay quality would be LEO RPers. As it stands, from what I've seen, the best roleplayers in this server are already in LEO factions. So RP has standarts have to be raised on the civilian/criminal side before if anything. I don't appreciate getting domed in the head with an AK because I wanted to issue a citation to a gang member.

  12. We withdrew from Davis and this is what happened: https://streamable.com/eblpcc Full on gangland style shootings every 15 minutes. Illegal roleplayers did that to themselves. A majority of the server does not share the same opinion you share, only the people who are in denial about their subpar driving, constant shooting and refusal to take ownership for their mistakes share that opinion.

  13. I got 135 minutes of prison time for an expired registration and expired license (this being before the update where the time to renew was made longer) you’re gonna sit here and tell me that law enforcement isn’t an issue? Not all LE role players are bad but to try and act like the police aren’t part of the problem is exactly that… the problem. I can literally pull up my discord since this server started where active players complained about the police, some incidents so ridiculous they left for other servers or quit in general. No one is targeting our LE but changes need to be made and if you’re gonna sit here and defend that without an open mind then I can see why this server has gone downhill in just 3 months.

  15. Nobody said removing LSSD is a good idea, I couldn't care less. You guys need to take a chill pill. I am answering to the random comments of people dropping made up stuff about SD's activity versus PD's. People switch up a lot in public eh?
