  1. Another Sunday, another update. This one isn't exactly filled with features, but there are some pretty nice and noticeable changes for you to explore. I am also happy to report that we have ironed out the bugs found in our custom presets (such as /bareswitch removing the floor...) and are ready to push these custom interiors to our live server. And let me say - some of these are genuinely top quality work. I forgot I was in a custom mapped interior (yes, done with /furniture) in a few of the new interiors! In addition, every new interior has a /bareswitch alternative, so if you don't like the mapping but want the layout, you can fit your own mapping in! Thanks to our Mapping Team members that made this possible: @lavakeule @ryz0skii @PlayerX @Chester Campbell @.Scarecrow @Lindsie @Trewen @Hanky Anyway, here's the weather: - Added randomisation to fist damage (now does between 4 and 7 damage) to make fist fights last longer - Added /fontsize and font size to /settings - Added hotkey-based vehicle interaction - Added phone notification sounds - Added better sync for trunks, doors and bonnets - Added a phone notification when the short-term weather changes - Added the tapered reward amount to /mission for truckers - Fixed an issue with gun bans - Fixed an issue where /hire would check your own player-owned company slots, not the target player's - Fixed an issue where /bareswitch only worked in properties you do NOT have permission to manage There are some smaller fixes that were just one-liners, but I'm ashamed to say I didn't keep track of those ones! You can bring up the interaction key by holding ALT near a vehicle, or bring up the interaction menu with U Be aware, though. If you leave your windows rolled down, someone can reach in and unlock the car! Connection Issues As far as I've been able to see, our connection issues are largely resolved! There are one or two people I've seen that cannot connect no matter what, and it seems to me like this is potentially an issue with their specific ISP, rather than the server at this point. Never fear, though, as we can manually tweak our network settings per player now, meaning that anybody encountering these issues can be saved! Illegal Roleplay Features It's not really a massive secret that our updates recently have not been geared towards illegal roleplayers, and that the drug system is largely not very thrilling. I want to assure you that our priority now is generating cash as an illegal roleplayer. @matical has pumped out some great discussions (relating to a feature that has been asked for since SA-MP, something to do with houses) with the Faction Team, and @Mitcholodolo has been grinding out some great ideas to make the Darknet drugs trade more interesting for people that both do and don't have access to the system. I have also been gathering feedback about forensics (which will, of course, include gloves...) and how to tailor it to be fair for everyone involved in a crime. A third point Honestly, I forgot what this third point was. I should really plan this out better. I'll probably update this post and include this point in the next post when I remember... A third point I actually remembered this about 2 minutes before posting this update, so I thought I'd just edit it in now. I've left the original draft above for a glimpse in how I work when I write up drafts of these posts... Anyway, the third point. We will be beginning to evict players that have not spent at least 4 hours in the last 7 days on a character that owns a property in order to free up some space for other players. Premium members are exempt from this activity requirement. What this means is if you have 2 characters, and rent a house on both, you must play for 4 hours in 7 days' time on both characters to retain your house on both characters. If you play 30 hours a week on character 1, and 2 hours a week on character 2, character 2 will lose their house. Lastly, we've seen a return to our playerbase since the last update that introduced the connection fixes. Where we were hovering around 20 players, we're now back up to the mid-80s at the same time. I am excited for our rise once more now that desperate people that need us to fail have been stopped in their tracks! Here are some images of an exclusive event you probably didn't get invited to as you're not part of one of our great illegal factions! Thanks to @SCANDALOUZ for the mapping and planning of this event! Dancin_dancin.mp4

  2. Hello, as the titles suggests, i'm proposing we make a RP hub same like we used to have back on LSRP SAMP (Idlewood stacks or the mall), it's mainly to encourage new players to engage with others and give SOLO RPers a place to hangout and make connections, basically everyone can hang there when they don't have anything to do. From my experience as a solo RPer, the server doesn't offer much for Solo's (Solo schemes are limited and hardly get accepted), so with the new RP hub there would be engagements with random people to RP together, for both legal and illegal, have fun and just hang around. I propose these three places to make it the Idlewood Stacks V2.0, hopefully we ghet some outdoor mapping and some NPC stores and businesses. 1- Mega Mall at Davis 2-Vinewood Plaza 3-Davis Plaza (My favorite) I would love to hear your thoughts on this matter! Inb4 MallRats Inb4 Pitstop is not RP hub

  3. I’ll form something up and try and get something done as we do need a sort of roleplay hub - if you have any ideas forward them to myself would love to hear from you all!

  4. So player owned businesses don't get hurt, how about we have businesses such as libraries, internet cafe's etc that don't require any sort of staffing inside them. They're just there, for roleplay?

  5. A great collective effort from all involved. Also a great example of the RP you can create on the server. You don't even need any fancy features either! Plenty more where that came from!

  8. ABOUT The Hell Runners Motorcycle Club or the HRMC is a 1% Motorcycle Club originally coming from the Tri-State Region (New York (NY), New Jersey (NJ) and Connecticut (CT)) that was founded by Kevin Portillo and James Deckert in 1984 as a group for motorcycle passionates. The club later got involved in multiple illegal actions such as racketeering, drug and arms dealing, prostitution and arson which got them under the radar of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). The New Jersey chapter was considered to be the original one, with the 5 founding members coming from that area; usually all-charter churches were held in Lakehurst, New Jersey being considered one of the more iconic landmarks for the club, with most of the members calling it the mother-chapter. At the moment, the US Department of Justice declares that there are over 500 sworn-members over the 50 states in America, being considered one of the most dangerous gangs in the US. The club is not officially a racially segregated organization, although no afro-american members are apart of the HRMC. ORGANIZATION Each Hell Runners chapter in the United States is organized in a rank structure, consisting of a President, a Vice-President, a Secretary/Treasurer, multiple Sergeant-At-Arms, Road Captains and Enforcers. Each of the existing chapters has autonomy over their members/rankings and can make local-impact decisions on their own, without permission or summoning a church at the mother-chapter's location. ((OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION)) This faction is aiming to portray a realistic 1% MC, inspiring ourselves from existing motorcycle clubs from the United States. Gaining membership in the faction is done strictly IC (In Character) and we do not condone any type of favoritism but we encourage you to bring your friends along in our faction. We strive to follow all of the rules of LS-RP and enforce them at all times within the faction. If you have any questions or concerns about our faction, you can reach out to me (@danut) or @trickster.

  9. None intended, it's just a popular spot my dude. You heart reacted the first time so I thought you were cool with the reference

  10. I might be biased because I RP there but it seems like a pretty good spot. Good split between housing / businesses, a number of factions based there, plenty of unclaimed businesses there too. There's one or two spots to add some rental cars as well.

  11. That'd work too. I know there's a shopping center there with a good parking lot and a bar and mechanic shop established there too. And further from police stations than the Davis option

  12. There are a lot of houses (a lot are taken, but seeing as people are starting to get evicted now, there may be some more availability for people) and a couple complexes up the road, just at the end of the bridge.

  13. What’s everybody’s thoughts on Mirror Park? Getting a load of businesses that are owned by the company team and can be a sort of hub for players.

  14. I'd say Davis plaza is the best one. Central area on a popular area. Vinewood plaza has a gun store and another interior that's being worked on there that would make things awkward for those wanting to RP there

  17. If we had what people ask for they'd get in-game. Stop deflecting from the problems and act like they're magically gonna solve themselves. Good luck building a community with that kind of attitude. Your issue is you think people care. They don't. They'll choose an alternative, and pretending it's on them to not play victim and simply log on is counter-intuitive to what we're trying to achieve. Personally, I couldn't care less. If the server is good and there's players, I'll play. If not, I won't. Simple as.

  18. there are currently 80 players online, I am in game browsing my 20 unique outfits for various types of situations: business, casual, swim, hanging around, and the obligatory tactical turtleneck. there’s enough features to lay the groundwork, and there’s more than enough variety in roleplay to permit the development of any sufficiently flexible character. this seems more like a you problem, so as the OP said: be the change you want to see.
