Hello, Today we're releasing Major Update 1.2! I will take you through the updates we've been testing for the past week since Major Update 1.1 and explain what's new. Continuing on from the theme of player retention and acquisition, and listening to your feedback, we understand that the script can really be restrictive of what you're trying to do ingame. You can't be a part-time bartender, for example, if you're trucking in the rest of your time. In this update, we are introducing the ability to be employed in multiple companies - currently, you will be permitted to be in one server-owned company, and one player-owned company. This will greatly improve the flexibility of our players in roleplaying what they wish, without being unnecessarily restricted. In addition, we have allowed players who have previously (before today) added 2-factor authorisation to their account to reset it via the UCP, either on the login page or in their account preferences. The full changelog is: - Added 2FA reset ability on the UCP - Added ability to be in multiple companies - Added reward cut for companies - Added the ability to respawn individual cars for factions and companies - Added the ability to choose which company gets the profits from /pos and /servedrink - Added a reminder that you can run the taxi mission in personal vehicles - Added the ability to reward businesses per unique visitor - Added green icons on the map for open businesses - Added stock to gun stores throughout the city and county (pistol icons on the map) - Added the ability for companies to be awarded contracts from the government - Fixed a bug preventing people from using /respawnme - Fixed an issue where trucks despawned during missions and caused forklift issues - Removed the ability to shoot whilst driving Multiple Companies One of the most squawked about blocks to players' roleplay is the restriction that players can only be in one company. We have made a change so that players can now be hired to one server-owned company and one player-owned company. You are no longer restricted to just being a trucker if you want to become a bartender, or a mechanic. Further, you can be in two companies of the same type if you so wish! For example, the TaxiTaxi server-owned company, and a BetterTaxi player-owned company. In this case, you can use either your company car, or your private car, and you can choose which company to represent when you begin your taxi mission. While we are currently only allowing being a member of one server company and one player company, we will in the future be looking at expanding this to be in more than 2 companies, so be on the lookout for that! Company Positions Included with this update is the ability to set your members to other positions in the company using the /companyposition command. This will allow companies to assign different permissions to different members of their companies without affecting any other part of their game. Examples of permissions you might set include the ability to hire or fire employees - perfect for Human Resources members! Gun Stores As you may have seen, and heard in our last community meeting, licenses to purchase firearms (PF) are now able to be bought, and Ammu-Nations have been opened across the city. Anything you see in those stores is completely fair game - that includes the shotguns and rifles you see in there as well, and any of the ammunition you see. Do remember that these weapons have serial numbers, so if your weapon is stolen or sold, you can be held accountable. Roleplay Hubs You might have seen that the LSSD faction held a barbecue in Davis the other day, and a map icon to boot. We are now showing on the map green icons where player companies are open to show you, as a player, where the roleplay is happening. We hope that this increases the custom to different player owned businesses as well, boosting their income with our new feature - a reward amount per unique visitor, per opening! Hello friends. I'm Stefan. Been in the community for about 11 years now.

A son to a made man, raised by his father to fit within Boston’s Cosa Nostra - born into a lifetime of crime, Anthony Abruzzo was predestined for greatness, sentenced to a life of power and fortune through his wants and vices alone. Alas, a wayward son, he’s fallen short of his family’s expectations, but… Ultimately, the life-long dream of respect and wealth lived on. Soon enough, it became everything to the man - and he’d stop at nothing, yield to no one, and hold nothing back to get what he truly desired. Born and raised within the streets of Boston, Abruzzo was surrounded by crime - born into an Italian mafia family, the cruel, lawless world was made bare to him at a young age, most of which he spent under the mentorship of his father and his fellow wiseguys. A rowdy and disobedient child, he was quick to reject the patronizing approach of his superiors, much preferring to remain on his own and focus on creating a cell in which he’d be the reigning body. Considered a family disappointment from there, by his late teens Anthony was already governing over a multi-racial crew while carefully treading the treacherous waters of the criminal underworld. Everything was fair game - as long as it paid well, and wouldn’t cause a misstep onto a bigger fish’s tail. As bridges were razed in the wake of Abruzzo’s illegal path, so did his crew crash and burn in the heat of the law enforcement’s successful pursuits. The seat was getting hotter and hotter with each passing day, and so the man realized it’s better to move on to a greener pasture - and as everyone knows, the grass is always greener on the other side. And so, East turned to West - and Los Santos, the city of opportunity, became Anthony’s newfound home. It was a new start - but a new beginning did not mean a change in old habits. Abruzzo remained as motivated as he’s always been, willing to work with anyone and anything, as long as the profit to his pocket was right. After having sought private, professional mental aid, having felt concerned regarding his social bounds with people, it’s been made clear to him that, in a way, Anthony was truly predestined to become who he was not by birth alone, but by biology just the same. Presenting callous unconcern for the feelings of others, if he considers them inferior to himself; showing irresponsibility and disregard to social norms, rules and obligations; having difficulty to maintain enduring relationships, even though he has no issue establishing them. That, topped by the admittance to having severely violent tendencies, has cemented him as a diagnosed sociopath. Today, Abruzzo is an opportunist and a lone wolf who remains ever so willing to do just about anything lucrative with little pity or remorse, blinded by his desire for success. You're more than likely talking about a mutual aid pursuit between PD and SD. Most, if not all supervisors in PD know having 19 cruisers in a pursuit line is not how that's meant to be done (pursuit lines are called code four, etc). There's plenty of crime and with Davis and Jamestown being a hot spot, it's only natural for there to be a high police presence. We've taken measures to lighten up and ensure the playing field is both fair for criminals and police officers in terms of camping. The high presence is there because of the ridiculous amount of shootings that go on and that's how it goes w/ neighborhoods IRL.

Most of the crimes that we've been dealing with in the county I work for is crimes happening in stolen cars. You don't know what that person did to warrant such a large scale police chase. Not only that, but I have not ONCE seen more than 6-10 (and I might be a little high with 10) cars chasing after someone. 19 cars to me seems like an exaggeration in all honesty. And even if this was a thing, it's entirely in-character and should be treated that way.

I think we've gathered enough feedback in regards to people's first impressions of the server. The thread has been derailed for a bit; please refer to a separate general discussion thread to discuss individual concepts, or suggestions board to discuss features. We've learned a lot and will continue to learn as we implement highly sought after features in the upcoming days and weeks. I hope we can show you that through consistent development and updates.
