    Damage System Preview

This is looking great. Is there a bleed out timer for people where they can be recovered, before progressing to fully dead? All I remember is the /acceptdeath command. In fact, how is death in general being handled this time around?

    Weapon and Drug Schemes

I like the idea of the tiered faction system and with some clearer boundaries/goals for them to aim for. Never really interacted much with the weapons or drugs systems on old LSRP so can't comment on that except that it looks good to me. Might need to create a shady character just to give everything a go.
  3. Greetings and welcome back! It's mad isn't it how so many people have grown up and have responsibilities but still have interest in LSRP. Personally I don't know if I did grow up What did you RP as back in the day?
  4. I'm the kind of person who hates silence when I'm at home, and I've been working from home for ages now. Even when in the office, I prefer to put my headphones on and drown out the chaos. There are lots of options for music which help you concentrate, I'm signed up to Brain FM for instance which has a selection of all kinds of ambient music. The "Focus" channel is particularly good. It's all a bit weird if you're not used to it, but I find it does help me stay focused rather than listening to songs from de club. If you're working or studying, what to do you listen to? Are you the kind of person who still plays the normal music you like, or do you have a different genre like me? Also feel free to share any links or playlist suggestions, radio channels etc.
  5. I think that someone's mentioned advertising already and I think that's weirdly gonna be important even before the actual launch... 'cause you could put up events and promote them ahead of time. For instance, I was thinking of doing some kind of community BBQ or something just to get people together in one place and RPing together. I know that's sort of counting chickens because it's reliant on a smooth launch, but still I think there's no harm in getting something like that up. Or perhaps it's the case that these things will be purely promoted in game on Twatter and the likes? Or some kind of in-game public calendar? Still reading through the announcements and obvs not privy to all the features.

    Internet & Updates

I'm finally getting a chance to catch up on all these announcements and a fucking love this. Gonna be so much better being able to actually do more things like this in the game rather than relying on the forums.

    Cities Skylines

The Sims 4 is such a cash cow for them - it has been for a while but have you seen the new "kits"? It's literally just mod material that they charge for. Ridiculous. Cities Skylines is really good, highly recommend it. It's the spiritual successor that the rehashed Simcity game was supposed to be, to Simcity 4 (an iconic, albeit outdated simulator now).
  8. +1 to this. I expect there'll be loads of old returning players soon. The nostalgia is real, and I'm so here for it.
  9. A cat tends to meow at humans because it wants food, not attention. Who knows about why dogs bark though. What's the best cure for a hangover?

    Cities Skylines

Simcity was balls, although I did enjoy the Cities of Tomorrow expansion. But when Skylines came out (and after a few mods came out for it too) it wayyyyyyy outperformed Simcity. I'm surprised there's not more competition out there for this category. City building is awesome.
  11. They massacred Sylvanas' story and character, and now the entire thing including its gameplay is trash. Get over to FF14 and get out of this game. Not bad for RP mind you - provided you can stand the usual trolls. I did have some art created for my Highborne mage though:
  12. Throwback name right there, what actually happened to him in the end? Side note: great voice.
  13. I'm so late to the party here, but so excited that the SD is still gonna be around. Used to love RP with the SD out of the city. I may alt up and make an SD character. Maybe. I'd be interested in seeing how the SD and PD differ on here - there were a lot of cultural differences back when I played actively but who knows how things look nowadays. Good luck with managing the prison too!

    Last Meal

A large Dominos pizza with meatballs, ground beef, jalapenos, garlic sauce and peppers. A side of chicken kickers. A dessert of Dominos cookies and some strawberry cheesecake Ben and Jerries ice cream. And a fucking big bottle of wine.
  15. Someone mentioned this already, but the flaws are obviously really important. It takes a pretty mature person to be able to RP a character which has flaws that they themselves don't have too. For instance, roleplaying a character who has racial or gender biases. Or perhaps a character who is a bit dumb, where the player themselves might be pretty intelligent. All comes down to the fact that we aren't our characters; and to try to make it so isn't really a healthy way of playing. Make an interesting character with strengths, weaknesses and depth. Don't remake yourself, and don't be attached to them too much because you have to let in-game events shape them too - and these things can be very much out of your control.

    Tuono

    Salutations, and welcome to you!
  17. Provided this show does not go in the same direction as GoT, I'm very excited about it. Anyone else? Please no spoilers if you've read the book already - I have not!
  18. This is good to know. General consensus seems to be for the Quest 2 so far so I think I'll go for that as a starter. I suppose I could always sell it on again if I wanted to get something more spenny. I've heard that opening windows, having a fan pointed at you etc helps. Plus I invested in some of those anti-sickness bands with the pressure point things on them. If I can't play after all of that, at least I won't have broke the bank over it.
  19. There was this sort of middle ground when GTA4 was out, when most folks didn't seem to have computers that could handle anything more than GTA SA. So even when the GTA4 RP servers came out, they were quiet purely because many folks just didn't have the hardware to handle it. Nowadays, graphics cards and memory are much more affordable and that's probably had a big impact on why people actually can play games like GTA5 on their computer. People who play on laptops too - I think my old gaming laptop would still have exploded if I tried GTA4, nevermind 5. But yeah it's all more accessible now, and I think that's had a big impact on the demand for RageMP. Regardless of the reasons, I'm glad of things moving in this direction. Trés exciting.
  20. As feminine as I may sound, I wouldn't quite be able to pull off trying to voice a female character But yep, good ol' text-based server.
  21. I still have an iPhone 8. Bought it outright years ago so my monthly contract is just for unlimited data, so I’m profiting heavily now. Never felt the need to upgrade either; the battery sucks but they always do. I just carry battery packs with me. Tried a Samsung a couple years back and just couldn’t get into it. The iPhone done got me good.

Riiight right tbf I never actually did much with RP with gangs I just kept up with the faction threads. Is that what you'll be RPing on here then I guess? Thanking you!
  23. I feel like LSRP shutting up shop was probably the end of most SAMP roleplay. I know there were others, but most seem to have migrated to GTAV already. Still I'll always look back on SAMP roleplay with fond memories and nostalgia.

Thought I remembered you - what did you RP? Was it PD? Soz my memory is shit 'cause I'm an old bastard now. Greetings to you, and welcome.
