  1. [PRESS RELEASE] Allegra Nixon Accepts Mayoralty 3rd July 2025 "Fellow residents of Los Santos, Today I accept the responsibility of serving as your Mayor. I do so with humility, fully aware of the doubts many of you hold, and with a determination to restore confidence in our city’s government. Los Santos has spent months without clear leadership. Mayor Calhoun’s prolonged absence left budgets unsigned, projects stalled, and vital services drifting. This election was meant to end that paralysis, yet criminal interference threatened to plunge us deeper into uncertainty. I have since been informed by the Secretary of State that only two candidates, Mr Kenneth Muldoon and myself, met every legal requirement to appear on the ballot. No other applicants succeeded. The Municipal Electoral Commission has since disqualified Mr Muldoon for voter-fraud offences. After my public call for a new election, I met with the Secretary of State directly. He outlined that restarting the process would require new rules, fresh vetting, and at least four more weeks of campaigning and voting once those rules were in place. That would mean months longer without a Mayor. Even so, I insisted that a Mayor must have a public mandate. The State then confirmed that the verified pre-fraud tally gave my ticket a decisive lead, and that this constitutes that mandate. Mr Muldoon’s endorsement of my candidacy further strengthened the case for moving forward. To those who feel disappointed or sceptical, I hear you. When I first spoke of a new election, the full timeline, legal findings, and risk of extended leaderlessness were not yet clear. We now know that only lawful ballots remain in the final count and that each day without a Mayor delays urgent work. My first priority is stability. I will assess the structure of the Mayoral cabinet, define key roles, and begin delivering on our manifesto pledges. I thank the Municipal Electoral Commission for its diligence and Secretary of State Hosea Halliday for clarifying the realities that guided this decision. I also recognise the voters who did not support me or who feel let down by recent events. My administration will serve you with the same commitment it offers to those who placed their trust in me at the ballot box. Together, we can turn this difficult chapter into the starting point of a safer, stronger, and more united Los Santos. I am ready to get to work and I invite you to join me. Before I close, I wish to honour the late Deputy Mayor Patrick Callahan. His loss is felt across our city. In recognition of his dedication to democracy and justice, I pledge to commission a memorial statue at City Hall and to explore renaming a street or public building in his memory. Thank you, and may our city move forward in hope and honour." - Mayor Allegra Nixon

ah shit here we go again
  3. Ello and welcome! Loving your work so far, the radio is great and I've seen the music stuff on MyFace as well. Enjoy!
  4. I've spent a good few weeks back playing SAMP again now and tbf, in many ways it's consistently feeling like a good mix of "what worked well before" and "what we learned since then". But I accept that my RP is pretty niche; legal/civvy RP. Can't really speak much for the rest of RP circles.
  5. Think this pretty much sums it up. Let's not forget that we have changed a lot over the years; including our expectations of RP, what entertainment/value we actually get from it, our free time, etc. The "good old days" were great, but I think there's a lot more to it than just trying to steer things back to the way they were.

  12. As far as I'm currently aware, the Government Agencies are using their new forums for SA-MP activity, not the old ones. Therefore anything to do with SA-MP, should have a new section in the new forums as appropriate. Yes! Old properties and basically anything you had when the server shut down, will still be there. But everything will be subject to the usual activity requirements when the server does open. Hope this answers your questionz.
  13. We're discussing SAMP areas internally so expect to see some changes to the forum structure (including the possibility of screenshots / modding section / more)
  14. Thanks for your question. Houses with existing owners from when the SAMP server shut, will still retain ownership of those houses. However once we open, those players and their assets will be subject to activity requirements (details TBC), meaning that any players who are inactive will at some point have their properties listed for auction, allowing other players the chance to buy them. The prison will be available at launch, yes, as SADCR.
  15. Hi everyone, yes I'm back, how exciting. Before diving into the obvious purpose of this post, let me briefly touch on what I'll be focusing on in my new role. The leadership team has brought me on board as Head of Project to provide strategic direction to LS-RP, both for our RageMP server and the upcoming relaunch of our SA-MP server. I’m already knee-deep in planning on a variety of topics and can't wait to start putting things into action. During my previous tenure I was heavily involved in Communications, often leading our community meetings; and I'll be picking these up again. I also played a key role in revising how our systems enhance the player experience, such as the changes to Company schemes, pushing for the introduction of the /startshift feature, and all sorts of background calculations to ensure that businesses were well-supported. Ultimately I was only providing advisory support back then; but this time I'm in the leadership team and able to really keep things moving in a positive direction. Moving forward, I will be determining our development roadmap priorities and working closely with all sub-teams to ensure that our systems, schemes, and overall server management deliver the best possible experience. I’m open to making necessary adjustments; whether it's tweaking features, overhauling systems, or revamping schemes to ensure everything works better for everyone. But enough about me - this is about you. Entirely about you, in fact. I’m brimming with ideas, but your input is invaluable and will help to shape our direction. That’s why I’m inviting you to spend about 10 minutes to fill out a survey. Your feedback is crucial, and to make it worth your while, three lucky random participants will win a £20 Amazon voucher (or the equivalent in your local currency). So please, share your thoughts with me. Here's the link to the survey. Whether you play actively right now, started to play and then left, or are completely new to the community, your input would be much appreciated. Let's make LS-RP the best it can be.
  16. So your old character and their assets will still exist, including any cars or property ownerships or what-not. The old forum actually exists at the moment in read-only format, but moving forward, we'll be porting relevant topics over to this forum for SAMP. To clarify: not everything, just what's needed to keep things operational moving forward.

  18. I see your points. As someone who hasn't had to A) report anyone recently nor B) deal with any actual reports, my perspective is obviously pretty limited. But here's my take: If this were a court of law and we treated player reports as such, then yes, there's a strong argument that "all reports, no matter who they come from, should go through a strict procedure which does not take into account their status as staff members". In this way, equality is very obvious and so on and so forth, all the points you mentioned previously are valid. In practise however I imagine that the actual act of dealing with these issues is incredibly long-winded - looking at previous player reports there's a hell of a lot of forum back-and-forth which can stretch out over days/weeks and even then, seem unresolved. Again, I speak obviously as someone who hasn't had to deal with this before. If the individual bringing the 'case' towards an allegedly 'offending' player is a staff member however, there is an intrinsic amount of trust that's already been given to that staff member by management purely from holding the position in the first place. In other words, there is some implicit trust that the staff individual is less likely to come forth with a sense of bias, because if they were ever found to be lying or in breach, they would be jeopardising their position. Plus, they have earned trust in the first place by being granted the position. In this way, there is a sort of "class divide" from a trust perspective. But it is also true as ever it has been in the past that there will have been some staff members who may have abused this privilege, or felt themselves 'above' things. I don't think this is right either, and as you say, a way of seeing whether this happens is for the entire process to take place in Report a Player. So that is one potential solution, but I think from a practical perspective, it would basically slow everything down. This is one of the reasons why forum court-based RP has never appealed to me: it's too longwinded and it takes ages to get to the actual point. If some cases can be resolved privately, then so be it. But is that right? I'm not sure. Tldr: I'm a bit on a fence about this and can see where you're coming from, but can also see why it's been done the way it is too.
