Hey all, Today I'm happy to showcase to you guys how far along we've came with our damage system which is just about complete. It's been really fun testing and we can't wait for you guys to hop in game soon and experience it yourself. Check out this video by @Xanakin to see more about it: We really brainstormed how to handle damages and different type of weapons and I think we came out with a pretty solid system. We currently have more than 60 custom inventory weapons implemented and more than 20 different ammo types. Each weapon will have a base damage and a list of compatible ammo and a range of distances it can fire accurately and how far. V's native range for hitting targets is quite large so this was necessary to do. Each ammo type will be configured with a different multiplier. So some types of ammo will be stronger, some will be weaker and so forth. When it comes to deciding how much damage it's time to give, it all comes down to these factors: base damage, ammo multiplier, distance and bodypart. Some bodyparts will increase your damage, and some may lower it. Another part of our system that I'm quite happy about is the attachment system! We've added just about every weapon component that exists on GTA V and that will all be accessible. As demonstrated in the video, you'll be able to have each piece in your inventory and use them on weapons it's compatible with (not all can have attachments)! Here's an example of some of the pistols and their ammo types we've added: (not final!) thead tr {background-color: ActiveCaption; color: CaptionText;} th, td {vertical-align: top; font-family: "Segoe UI", Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 9pt; padding: 3px; } table, td {border: 1px solid silver;} table {border-collapse: collapse;} thead .col0 {width: 189px;} thead .col1 {width: 164px;} Weapons Ammo Types LSPD SWAT Staccato P 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP H&K USP 9 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Beretta 92FS 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Glock 19 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP FN 509 MRD-LE 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Glock 17 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Beretta 92X 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Glock 21 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Sig Sauer P320 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Sig Sauer P365X 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Glock 43X 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Kimber Custom LW .45ACP FMJ, .45ACP JHP Colt 1911 Classic .45ACP FMJ, .45ACP JHP Smith & Wesson 4506 .45ACP FMJ, .45ACP JHP Smith & Wesson M&P9 M2.0 9mm FMJ, 9mm JHP Thank you all once again for your continued support! I personally enjoyed some of the earlier iterations of government systems because it was more simple. I know there were quite a few folks who were really into it a few years later with the senate and what-not too, though I'll admit it just got a bit much for me to keep up with so I just sort of stopped reading. So tl;dr I think this is on the right track and I support, and am looking forward to what you come up with. Also know that you've been there, done that and worn the t-shirt so you'll know the kinda things to think about. Further thoughts below, since it sounds like things are still in early stages: Make the decision early on regarding how much "say" the Government has in the operation of other factions, obvs thinking law enforcement and fire department as the main ones. If it's to be a lot, then due care needs to go into who in the Government that particular responsibility stops with. I know this is why there was always some level of admin involvement in the form of a Governor for certain things, since IC decisions could heavily impact OOC enjoyment of the game. I'll use the example of the time when a Mayor tried to fire a Chief of Police, which would have caused untold chaos if nobody intervened. If there's to be elections, I think make the terms long. We saw time and time again that regular new leadership basically meant an entirely new faction, which was unstable and chaotic. I know that the city manager position and the separation of departments / the mayor's office tried to combat this, and I'm not sure how successful that was (perhaps others who were around after me could elaborate 'cause that would be interesting to know). A constantly changing leader figure is also very fatiguing for everyone. Remember it's still a game. I think that in the past, and in certain "other communities", it just went too far down the lines of being a bureaucratic, boring mess. Some people love doing paperwork and are fine with seeing their online lives as a second job, but I don't personally think that's sustainable. There are some paperworky things that you'll never get away from needing, but I think the focus should be on the roleplay and the experience far more than the function. I know not everyone will agree with that, but I'd rather have an active and stable government faction which stays that way because the players enjoy playing their characters, rather than one which just seems to manage a myriad of processes on the forums. I'm not saying make the government useless, but just make it interesting! Then we may actually have people who stick around. If there's to be competition, or party systems, be careful of players getting too hyper about winning. Easier said than done I know, but I just think it's important to encourage people to enjoy the game and the stories rather than getting so involved and bothered about whether they'll "win". And yesss I know this also feeds into the wider problem of some folks having a problem with losing in general, I just know from experience that too much competition and things can get really nasty and stressful on an OOC level. Stay fluid. You're in the fortunate position at the moment where nothing is set in stone and you can just sorta sit back and watch everyone's thoughts. People do have their own prerogatives for getting involved in Gov factions though; some people enjoy the creation and passing of legislation, some people enjoy having powerful characters, some people enjoy the in-game roleplay, some people see it as a popularity contest then disappear, some people enjoy the forum paperwork... basically just take opinions in context where you can. Creating a government which has function and purpose but is still fun to be part of in the game should be the direction, I reckon. It's been a very long time since I roleplayed in Government on any server now, so I know that things have no doubt come a long way since the 2012 era. I'd be eager to hear more about what happened and whether certain things worked or not, purely 'cause I'm nosy and nostalgic. Also I ain't gonna pretend my opinions are the magic bullet here, far from it, just my two penneth from what I've seen before!3 points

Hey everyone, Today we're launching character customization for those who already have an accepted character and are a member of our staff, insider program or an active1 patron. To find out if you're eligible, simply log in on ucp.ls-rp.com and you will see a prompt: After whitelisting your IP, give it a few minutes and you'll be able to connect to server.ls-rp.com using your RageMP client, where you log in with the same details as into the UCP. After that, you'll be prompted to choose a character and customize it. You can customize your character as many times as you want pre-launch. If you don't like where you left off, you can return another day and change it entirely. This is something that won't be available after launch - key features of a character won't be adjustable with a few minor exceptions. We're working on adding more outfits, especially female ones, so you'll be able to go back and change it as well. If you face any issues with the character creator tool, please reach out to our staff team on Discord and they'll be able to guide you, or forward your issue to our development team. RageMp released an update today to a core system we're using in the character creator; so we anticipate there may be some issues. Last thing worth noting is that we've heard you and we'll be increasing the character slots to 2 pre-launch, probably sometime next week. TL;DR Make sure you have an accepted character and are insider, staff, or active patron Whitelist yourself on ucp.ls-rp.com Wait a few minutes for the whitelist to refresh Connect to server.ls-rp.com on RageMP ??? Profit Kind regards, Martin 1 We've chosen for "active" patrons only to provide a new incentive for folks who keep supporting the project even after creating their character. If you aren't an active patron anymore, you will be able to customize your character once, a day or two before launch.1 point

https://www.gta5-mods.com/scripts/car-seating an ability to sit in the backseat of a 2 door vehicle with actual backseats would be cool Also this car. I know it's only one car, but my main suggestion was honestly the script but having this car would be cool too since it has a realistic look and can be used as an everyday car, a more realistic car for players roleplaying characters with lower middle class backgrounds. https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/bravado-feroci1 point

It's been going strong since it's release early last year. I've played a good number of hours on Squad and HLL is my new favourite game. Everything just makes a bit more sense on it and you feel genuinely trapped in the environment, rather than Squad where you can jump in a vehicle and head to a new fob or cap. With no depleting ticket system most games go the distance so one match could easily last up to an hour and half but the endgame is just as action packed as the first 20 minutes. In contrast, depending on how well your team's performing on Squad, the last half hour can be the most boring time as you just wait for the game to end. It's not just the setting that sets the games apart, HLL is easier on the whole team and more forgiving if you die or want to change your loadout/kit. I still thoroughly enjoy both games and it's took them both to get me to finally uninstall the remaining Battlefields I played (BF3, BF4 and BF5)1 point
