  1. This will definitely be a healthy addition to the illegal and legal scenes. When it comes to developing these features I'm sure the Faction Team will be included so we can ensure there's a fair balance and a healthy script to enhance the roleplay surrounding detective RP. Definitely agree with this. As a high ranking member of the PD I don't have an issue with people roleplaying corruption. It's only an issue in my eyes when it gets to the point it's unrealistic (e.g a cop committing a murder), as far as corruption roleplay goes though - you'll never be kicked from the faction OOC so long as the corruption roleplay is realistic. If you do get caught we'll always let you name change and carry on with a new character. I currently oversee the Detective Bureau within the PD and I assure you this will not happen under me. I remember being part of the days where this used to happen (I wasn't running DB then) and from an illegal roleplayer POV it really used to break roleplay up and had a long-lasting affect on any roleplay which followed. Detectives are law enforcement but they aren't untouchable, they shouldn't be approaching people and being cocky and fearless when they know they're an OC group. If this does happen though anybody is free to ping me a message and it'll be dealt with swiftly.

  2. This will be a showcasing section for me, showing off mods I've done in the past and present for GTAV. Everything that's shown off here is done by me, either created from scratch using my own, or other video games assets and everything will have its proper credits upon release. I hope everyone enjoys my work and gives feedback no matter what all feedback is accepted and taken as creative criticism. Thank you all and enjoy. I also take requests if you'd like anything regarding clothes, accessories, environmental and animations either PM me here or contact me on Discord at cranky#0017 Clothing/Accessories Some clothes and accessories I've worked on or am currently working on. Animations A few animations that are either WIP or done, for now these will be showcased for my faction and later down the line I'll most likely end up doing animations for all LA gangs. Environment

  3. Preface: By no means do I consider myself an expert on the matter of Chinese roleplay, I've just spent some time doing it and want to share my knowledge. Originally I wrote out this stuff to post on our faction's discord for people to check out but I figured I might as well post it here too (certain texts have been altered for this version). This guide should give you the basics to roleplay a Chinese character, especially for those of you who are interested in joining our Chinese community based in Textile City. Chinese roleplay has some serious depth to it if you're willing to take the plunge. Characters can vary significantly due to their/their family's geographic origin, affecting the language/s they speak, the food they make, to generalize, their culture and lifestyle as a whole. I'll add that Shah of Persia has an extremely well written in-depth guide on the matter of Chinese roleplay and I highly recommend checking it out, that is once the old forums are visible again (as of writing this thread its still hidden). Geography, Language and Culture The People's Republic of China administers 34 provincial-level divisions or first-level divisions, including 22 provinces, 5 autonomous regions, 4 municipalities, and 2 special administrative regions and 1 claimed province. China is big, so big it's divided up into pieces, and those pieces are divided into smaller pieces which are divided into smaller pieces and so on. Different regions in China have different cultures, and more importantly, languages. When speaking about the language, the term "Chinese" is an extreme generalization since it's actually divided to various languages that for the most part are not mutually intelligible, though they do share the same writing system/s (traditional or simplified Chinese characters, aka Hanzi). Among these languages are Standard Mandarin, Cantonese, Hokkien, Hakka, Wu, Gan and some others. The geographical origin of your character's family is important here because it will affect the first thing you decide when creating a character, said character's name. Because of there being different languages between regions, pronunciation may vary greatly and while the writing system for all the languages is the same, the sounds the characters make are completely different, and by extension how they are written in English. An example of this is the Mandarin name Wang, an extremely popular name among Chinese people. In Cantonese the name is written and pronounced Wong and in Wu Chinese it can be Waon or Whang. Wherever you choose your character's family to have originated from should impact the way their last name is spelled and the Chinese dialect they speak. Have fun with it, research regional culture and customs to represent in your character and achieve it's full potential. You can find a Wikipedia article containing a chart with Chinese surnames and their romanizations according to language here. Mandarin as a bridge language Due to the various languages spoken throughout the Chinatown environment a bridge language is required (a language or dialect systematically used to make communication possible between groups of people who do not share a native language or dialect), usually in addition to their original regional language, unless the bridge language is their regional language. In our community we will be using Standard Mandarin as a bridge language, meaning that if you roleplay a character originating from our community it is optional for him to speak Standard Mandarin in addition to whatever dialect native to his geographic origin. If your character originated from elsewhere in the city, country or otherwise, and only recently moved into or around the Chinatown it is entirely possible they will not speak Standard Mandarin unless as previously mentioned, their geographical origin would make it logically so. This does not mean other languages will not be spoken throughout the community, rather we highly encourage people to create varied characters, not necessarily even Chinese. Roleplaying a non-Chinese Asian character in the Chinatown community is totally fine. The use of this bridge language is simply to permit the majority of characters in our community to communicate on a comprehensive level. In fact, no one said your character has to be good at the bridge language, neither do they have to speak it at all for that matter if you choose to do so. The choice is yours. Face Interesting as the Chinese physiological face is, the psychological face makes a still more fascinating study. It is not a face that can be washed or shaved, but a face that can be "granted" and "lost" and "fought for" and "presented as a gift". Here we arrive at the most curious point of Chinese social psychology. Abstract and intangible, it is yet the most delicate standard by which Chinese social intercourse is regulated. Simply put, face is a concept within Chinese society that can be translated as honor, respect or social standing. This is actually a widespread concept throughout Asia and other parts of the world and can even be seen in how most street gangs operate socially. This is especially relevant in a Chinatown setting where as much effort as possible is put in to ensure the continuation and preservation of Chinese culture against the surrounding Western culture/s that attempt to influence these communities. At it's core, face is how people perceive you. To lose face is to be seen as less, to gain face is to be seen as more, and to save face means you have managed to maintain your status despite some sort of incident that could have cost you face. Actions have consequences, and people will look at you with disdain if you are a stain on their society, however they may also think highly of you if you are an upstanding member of the community. On the subject of Snakeheads, Triads and Tongs (This is a very brief explanation of each term so you may be acquainted with it, recommended to research on your own if it interests you) Snakeheads are individuals involved in human trafficking and smuggling. If you need to get into America illegally from China, you get in contact with a Snakehead who will get you in, for a price. Triads are illegal organizations, usually secret societies originating in China. Triads do not exist within the United States of America. A Triad may however have operations that extend to America or groups operating under them within that territory. Tongs are benevolent organizations founded within Chinatowns that serve as community centers of sorts. Originally they were founded to support local migrants with work, housing and education, but also operated gambling dens and became tied to illegal operations operating out of those same Chinatowns. The word "Tong" is Cantonese for the word "hall", a gathering place. Afterword Hopefully this guide has given you the basic tools to create a Chinese character or taught you something new. Questions will be answered, criticism is welcome, pointed out mistakes will be fixed and if you've got another section you'd like to see added, pitch it, I'll see if I can write something. Thanks for reading. -m.p.C.C

  5. Both of these pretty much. I also encourage detectives and gang roleplayers to sometimes show more fear to who they're roleplaying with. It occured on SAMP many times where detectives were not afraid to walk up to one of the highest ranks of an official faction, that had huge street cred and was feared by many to just approach him like he was a school boy and act like a boss whilst being alone. If there's going to be interactions between detectives and OCGs/Gangs, they need to keep in mind they're investigating big time criminals that are not afraid to kill if needed. It gets forgotten.

  7. More ways for detectives to target OC. Things like surveillance vans, wiretaps, smartphone surveillance.

  8. Well if we were to go with the realistic aspect of it then you would be amazed to find out that there's multiple incidents involving police and criminals where you have multiple rifles deployed for a single pistol. Now, this is a game and there needs to be a balance, that is why ROE was changed as well as Legal Faction Rules surrounding the deployment of M4s, we went even further into restricting shotgun usage and making sure it wasn't being used in 1v1 situations where the suspect only had a pistol. Now you may say, oh but I saw X and Y abusing, I don't doubt that, there'll always be people that abuse and we're here to deal with that and I've deal with plenty of situations like that, but it's also important for the community to report said faction members on the forums if they break any server rules or report to us if you think what he did was not right. At the end of the day it's really a matter of working together so we make sure everyone has a nice experience.

  10. Pimp Roleplay is so overrated and underrated. See Pimp RP is so fun and funny but powerful at the same time. Plus it teaches you how to be Independent, and to be a Entrepreneur. It's also a good way to find ways to make money, it also makes you very Popular, It gives you alot of Respect, you can make alot of friends doin this, and it helps you make Good Business Deals with Crime Syndicates, Politicians, Police and especially Street Gangs depending how good of a Pimp RPer you are, and to tell you the truth, you don't need a faction your litteraly a Walking Faction xD Like for an Example. See back in the day when i was popular, i used to have a crew made up of Crips & Bloods working together for me to making money, like i actually brought Peace to both gangs cuz money changes people, on top of that i had made a deal with a Russian Mob and was about to Co Run they Massage Palor/Dance Club/Brothel in Commerce. Plus i was already managing 2 Strip Clubs 1 in Temple called the Gangsters Paradise and 1 in Verona Beach called the Pretty Pony. And this was just on LSRP! I even on RCRP i had got in good with the Bounty Hunter Bloods in Blue Berry and the 83 Gangsta Crips in Palomino Creek and i even got affiliated with a Sureno gang called Dawn Alley 13 in Montgomery even tho my char was BLACK! LOL. See the thing is, Pimp RP is not really Roleplay, it's actually a Special Talent. You don't Roleplay your just being yourself. Like Suckas really be out here actually thinking like "IMA RP A PIMP! THE REST IS GONE BE HISTORY!" Theres an old saying, you don't choose the game, the game choses YOU. Well that's a TRUE SAYING! See the way got into this type of roleplay was by accident. Even my name Goldie Mack ain't just no ordinary name. It was given to me by mistake let me tell y'al a quick story. See back in 017, i got CKed and i left LSRP cuz i was pissed off, then my homie taught me into comming back, so i created my char, got accepted, then all of a sudden, soon as i logged on, i was falling into Blue Hell after the end of the Tutorial at the Airport Spawn, and this admin name Mia i think was trying to solve my problem, but in the end, she told me to create another character, i got mad cuz i didn't want to make ANOTHER LONG ASS APPLICATION AGAIN! She was like "I know! I'm soo Sorry!" Then she said "Give me your new and and I'll make sure I'll get accepted" and all of a sudden, somin made me say "Goldie Mack" so she said she'll promise I'll get accepted. So i did what she said it thinking she was BSin, woke up the next day, got accepted, and STILL FELL INTO BLUE HELL LMFAO! Then somthin told me to keep Spamming the Spacebar at the tutorial and WALAH! Now i got 2 New Characters! Tha End. I got alot of stories but to make a long story short, it was like a process. I kept making friends with the right people till i met the Valentine's and y'all already know what happened XD And eversince i had this name, I've been getting good luck so i keeps it everywhere i go. See what people fail to realize is, you got to be full time in your Lane. You can be a Pimp, Player, Hustler, Gangster ect. But you can't be Part Time Pimp Part Time Hustler ect. That's why people always getting caught up and getting unexpected CK's (Character Kill's) ect. Cuz they was switching lanes messing up the game. Now here's the overrated side of Pimp RP. Roleplaying a Pimp is a Lonely Path. It draws alot of HATE. People will hate on you, Judge you, Stereotype you, Reject you, Talk Evil about you, Provoke you, and people won't take you serious and will discourage you in anyway type of way by messing with you, your Hoe's, Robbing you ect. People WILL Underestimate you but the best way to destroy your enemies is to destroy them with $uccess. One thing i learned I'm my life is that Everyone that did me dirty, most of em vanished out my life like they never even existed, they did all that Asskissing, Faking and Backstabbing for Nothin 😆 Look at em now, they still out here livin low bitchin and hating the next dope person on the rise 🤣 See the key to master Pimp RP, is to deal with all of that BS and don't let it get to you. Ya gotta be Ice Cold, Have no Emotions, don't show no Emotions. Don't take No for an answer, always have a Plan B, Don't let no one ESPECIALLY A BITCH Tell you what to do, don't be a Follower be a Leader, don't join nobody's Band Wagon, have your own Style and Slang and be Unique, and tell ya the truth, all a TRUE Pimp Roleplayer really got is they money, they Guns, they Hoe's and most importantly, they Pimp Brains! Sometimes you meet good friends, but your main focus is P.I.M.P Put It In My Pocket. And M.O.B. Most people say Money Over Bitches but i like to say Make Or Break. Make yourself or BREAK YOURSELF! Make Money or Break Bread. This ya boy Goldie Mack, givin y'all game in the game I'm out.... P.S I mite write a pimp rp guide after this xD.

  14. Overrated: There's always this one gangster that no one can touch and he rules over whatever is around him and doesn't really follow the rules of RP is truly overrated and I've had enough of those dudes back in SAMP LSRP. Douche/Mallrat RP, poorly RP'ed rich life with fancy clothes and stuff. People who own JDM cars and drive or drift in the streets of the city causing pursuits. Underrated: Any RP other than those above
