  1. I agree. I've never been involved in much illegal roleplay. I created the topic as I was curious whether people talked about media and the internet stuff that happend that day. I've always felt as if people completely ignored it. Or it might be the fact that I haven't been involved with people who roleplayed that and I simply missed those interactions. I probably stated some things that were off, hence that I never got in touch with those things, but had a different picture in my head. Sorry if that "offended" you. Thanks for your input.
  2. Not any friday floppa friday
  3. You can't really force people to stay imprisoned for a longer period. They lose motivation and it gets boring after a while. Maybe it would be dependent on their previous criminal history and the duration of the imprisonment. I'm on the fence, not really for it, but also not against. Forced character kills I agree on. Now, I don't know how and when would that apply. But it would definitely make people more aware of their surroundings and make certain aspects adrenaline pumping because they don't want to lose their character. A great example was me playing LSPDFR and installing a mod that makes it so that when you get shot once, depending on the area, you get killed. Literally makes everything more intense and enjoyable because of the little adrenaline kick you get during shootouts, etcetera.
  4. I was wondering what the thoughts of the community are regarding the usage of real life internet/media content is during roleplay. From what I saw, the idea of using current movies, video games, memes, youtube/podcast content is totally ignored during roleplay. I either never engaged with people who roleplay that, or everyone just ignored that and roleplayed gangs and mafias from the 80s and 90s. Now, I've been on the legal side most of my time spent on the server and no one ever mentioned anything close to that. And it's kind of a shame because there would always be something to roleplay around and not just hang on the block, play basketball and talk nonsense. It feels weird asking the question, because it should be common sense. Right? We roleplay the current date and time, so I'm sure that people, especially teenagers should be aware of the content that is put out daily on the internet. The roleplay on LSRP was just what's happening on the streets.. and that's about it. Why not use real life tweets of celebrities, news articles, movies, games, even memes to create roleplay? I might've just stumbled across the wrong people, or never got to talk about that stuff during roleplay. Do people talk about the elections? About new games coming out? About movies, actors and news? What is your opinion on this? Should we enforce the usage of real life content more?
  5. Looking forward to this. Sounds awesome.
  6. Stop flexing, jeez Jack. Welcome back, Wolkow. I remember being at that graduation, biggest ceremony I've attended. I left the faction shortly after, but I remember your name. Be sure to check out the reinstatements to SD, would be nice seeing you in tan/green colors.
  7. I'm happy to see people return and reinstate back into the faction. We're moving in a good direction, but better stuff is yet to come. Thanks for the support.
  8. Reinstatements and transfers are currently open. As in retired staff and transfers from other departments. Per MMartin, every legal faction is required to open their recruitment process within 14 days of the server launch. Stay tuned.
  9. There isn't really much to change though. It is nice of them to bring back the classics. It's the thing about people that I don't get, what exactly do you want from them to do? Everyone keeps saying that the remaster is trash, but really what is there more to change except graphics, controls and some other slight changes? Barely nothing. They can't make a whole new game and call it GTA San Andreas; Vice City; or 3.
  10. Looks interesting, but I don't have high hopes. I will probably play it tho, give it a shot. 🤷‍♂️
  11. Just remembered that GTA V has some sick landscapes up north. Might create an alt to drive around and live a van life or something similar to that. Main character will be in the Sheriff's Department.
  12. have a blessed stay, king 🙏👑
  13. You are what you eat. How to eat with chopsticks?
  14. 9 talked to him a few minutes ago for the first time, fine gentleman
  15. When the server launches the Sheriff's Department will only have one station. The station is based in Davis and portrays the LASD's Compton Station. When the server expands enough a new station will open, preferably in Paleto Bay. With Paleto and Davis, Sandy Shores would be right in the middle. I'd suggest to have Sandy Shores as a station to spawn at and be able to process arrests at. @jack So ultimately I'd say that the Sheriff's Department could have three stations down the line. Regarding the travel time, I like the idea. It would make some really nice travelling RP and I'd see myself creating a character that lives in a van and travels places. I'd say that the roleplay should be on a case by case basis. If you are a deputy travelling from Paleto to the city, you can roleplay it as it is or not even bring it up. If you are a traveler, I would love to see it roleplayed as 3-4 hours to Paleto and 2-3 hours to Sandy. It would be also nice to see truckers roleplay it as a realistic as possible and make the route a couple of hours long (ICly).
