  1. Hey everyone, My name is @Quicky and I was chosen to serve as the Los Santos County District Attorney. My friend @i dont wanna od in LA and I have decided that our activities will depend on the characters we interact with, other factions and the server's ecosystem. The purpose of this thread is to receive feedback and ideas from the community to help us shape the courts and criminal prosecutions into a system that players are willing to enter and interact with. Given the current state of the courts, players will be allowed to entered either a plea of Guilty or a plea of No Contest. By entering a plea of No Contest, players who are arrested by law enforcement officials will be able to enter the system and interact with its people in much greater depth. Depending on the case the charges may be dismissed or modified based on the evidence and line of defense presented when a case is reviewed. A few weeks ago, I wrote a brief description of the current criminal justice system HERE. Although the District Attorney's Office is considered by the courts to be members of the executive and not the judicial branch, we mostly interact with the judiciary of San Andreas. The DA's Office is an independent entity in-character, but due to the out-of-character limitations we're bound with JSA and its leadership. The District Attorney’s Office prosecutes felony and misdemeanor offenses throughout Los Santos County and its unincorporated areas. We strive to provide the fullest, realistic and most in-depth experience when it comes to the criminal justice system and prosecutions. Our activities include reviewing and analyzing evidence and reports, conducting legal research, interviewing witnesses and conferring with other agencies for information and opinions. Our main objective is to modify this system so that all these activities and criminal trials can take place in game. This is not a faction that will only accept "experts". We understand criminal law, civil law and criminal procedure are all very complicated and we clearly do not expect anyone interested in joining to be a fully-fledged lawyer. None of the people who have contributed to the creation and development of this system are law experts. We would like to see more players getting involved with the DA's Office and the court system as a whole. This is truly a learning experience for everyone. When I found out that LSRP was starting a GTAV RP server and moved over, I was very excited to find that most of the people I had previously worked with were willing to create and maintain a similar court system here. Thanks to my dear friend @mattmocz's contribution we managed to tick a lot of boxes in the span of a few weeks. The two core values that we always consider as we begin to set the foundation of a rather complex system are the importance of allowing someone to have their day in court and either appeal their criminal charges or file a civil suit and the idea of creating a pleasant environment for legal, criminal and civilian roleplayers. We do not intend to create a group that will over-charge and prosecute players and thus hinder their character progression. Instead we wish to develop the basic arrest system that most communities have been using to far to introduce fresh ideas like diversion programs, plea negotiations, in-game trials, interact with other factions and create more opportunities for roleplay across the board.

  2. A quartered shield bearing the stars and stripes, a five cornered star and a grizzly bear - a tribute to the short-lived San Andreas Republic. A golden eagle like the kind depicted on the 19th century Mexican Coat of Arms, standing on a cactus while holding a rattlesnake in its beak, the old Alta City Hall and a lion rampant. The Los Santos City Government is one of the largest municipal organizations within the United States, and the largest in San Andreas, providing services to over three million constituents who reside both in the City of Los Santos and the County of Los Santos following a decision in 1992 to consolidate both the City and County of Los Santos into one large entity. The municipal organization is led by a City-County Mayor, who oversees all operations of the government and is responsible for the delivery and accessibility of services. Los Santos is home to people from all walks of life, of all cultures and backgrounds, located on the southern part of San Andreas. What started as a colonial settlement in 1781 under the Spanish Empire, saw rapid expansion ever since its establishment and quickly turned into a major colonial hub. While not much is known about the city during the Spanish rule, it is known that the territory was later on taken over by Mexico in the 1800s, and then rebelled under the short-lived San Andreas Republic in 1846 over land-purchasing rights. At the beginning of the revolt, flags bearing a five cornered star and a grizzly bear were raised by the mutineer soldiers, replacing the Mexican ones. On July 5, 1846 - the United States flag was raised throughout government buildings and militia bases, marking the end of the Republic and the annexation of the land by the United States. --------------------------------------------------------------- TIMOTHY KNIGHT MAYOR Welcome to Los Santos, It is my pleasure to present you with a warm welcome to Los Santos, our little pearl in the West Coast. Los Santos is home to innovation, progress and discovery - where people come from everywhere and everyone are welcome. 4. The issue is not only with SD but also with the government faction, as we've already begun working on things under one county since we had to consolidate the levels of government due to the emphasis on a local form of government.

  5. My only closing comment is to say again that many factions (including my faction, MS-13) are meant to be portrayals of notorious California street gangs. My faction's history is very much inspired by the Mara Salvatrucha's real life history and as a result, California existing would put a massive plot hole in my faction's storyline and history and as a result, we're not going to be acknowledging California as an existing state regardless of any administrative ruling, it makes little sense in our opinions for us to be forced to roleplay the state existing as an island and that our gang (MS-13) was formed in two different states at the same time, which just wouldn't happen. In real life, the Mara Salvatrucha first appeared in Koreatown, Los Angeles. On LSRP, we roleplay the MS-13 as having originated in Little Seoul, Los Santos and Los Angeles (Along with California in general) does not exist. One thing I don't 100% agree with though is the thing about other GTA cities. If we're trying to tell the admins to let us roleplay California not existing, we should still be able to mention and roleplay the existence of places like Liberty City, Vice City and San Fierro (Not with GTA Lore histories, though), I for instance, am not going to be roleplaying the existence of ANY cities that have a GTA equivelent, to me, NY is LC, Miami is VC, Las Venturas is Vegas and San Fierro is Francisco.

  6. That's an original Ironhead frame that's been chopped and had a weld on hard-tail kit, no idea who's. Looks like a universal one. Here's mine, '95 Evo Sporty on what I think is a Voodoo choppers weld on hard-tail kit.
