  2. Greetings, the title is a clickbait as there's no "wrong" way of playing the game as long as you're abiding by the server rules. I am a resident mall-rat erp'r so I feel that I'm the best person to put out a mini-guide on how to make your stay a comfortable and fun one in the initial days. STEP 0: Create an account in ls-rp's UCP (https://ucp.ls-rp.com/) Complete the quiz. Some of the questions are tricky, so refer to the rules thoroughly whilst completing the quiz (http://wiki.ls-rp.com.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/) Once done, create a character (do NOT use ChatGPT!) and wait for it to get accepted (which is usually not super long) STEP 1: GETTING INTO THE SERVER Once your character is accepted, it's time to fire up your ragemp 🔥 Make sure your CEF acceleration is turned off, if it isn't, turn it off as ls-rp server at the moment doesn't allow it.If you don't know how to do it then follow this Cr: @kaibr Login to server.ls-rp.com with default port (22005) and you should be able to login. Once logged in, you will be loaded into a character creation suite. Tune up your character to how you envision him/her/them (It's ok if you mess up, you can always reset character appearance in the UCP). STEP 2: SELECTING SPAWN LS-RP provides several spawn points and you can chose one based on the area your character is most likely to reside in BUT -- Chose a spawn point with the letter "R" in. This letter stands for "rented vehicles" and will save you the trouble of running (secretly bunny hopping) around until you can afford a car If you have already selected one somewhere else, no worries, you can always change the spawn point using /spawn STEP 3.1: NAVIGATING/TRAVELLING LOS SANTOS Once you have spawned, you are going to need a vehicle to move around. The map is HUGE and you won't be able to walk/run everywhere. The 500$ you received will not be enough to buy a car, HOWEVER, it's more than enough to rent one! Go to one of the blips marked in "R" (as shown above) and you should find rentable cars ranging from 20$ per hour to 30$ per hour. You can rent these using the command /rent. STEP 3.2: CLOTHES This is just a game but it's mostly filled with elitist cunts like me. So, I highly recommend styling your character with the clothes that would make sense for that character before jumping right into the roleplay-ing part. Clothes can be found in the clothing stores (duh!). They are highlighted in the map with the T-Shirt icons. (A couple have been marked below for example) STEP 4: GRINDING (MAKING MONEY - THE WRONG WAY) Alright, let's talk about the elephant in the room. The main reason why you clicked on this thread. MAKING MONEY. There are several scripted jobs available that allows you to make money. They are; - Fishing - Trucking - Trashman - Lawn mower - Mechanic [Not 100% scripted. It has script support but the amount you earn highly depends on how many clients you get] - Taxi [Not 100% scripted. It has script support but the amount you earn highly depends on how many clients you get] But ls-rp is designed in a way that your character makes more money, the more you RP. The amount you earn from these jobs keep decreasing the more you do it. So, I highly recommend NOT to fall into the trap of "grinding" unless you genuinely enjoy these scripted jobs or if it suites your character. The scripted jobs can be found in the locations marked in the map below STEP 4.2: NON-SCRIPTED JOBS/RP JOBS(MAKING MONEY - THE RIGHT WAY) LS-RP has tons of player owned business and pretty much every business is hiring ALL the time. The way the company system is designed, it will reward players for RPing in their business. Simply head to one of the businesses that is open and ICly ask around if they have any job vacancies. I know that this sounds "obvious" but it's baffling how very little people do this. 9/10 they will be looking for some extra help. Currently, the characters will be paid a minimum of 400$ per hour (which is A LOT in ls-rp's economy) for simply playing your character. Within a week, you should be realistically be able to make 4-5k provided you RP around 1-2 hours a day. Combine this with "Step 4 .1" and you should be able make more than enough money to RP your character and their motives (unless if you're RPing an extremely rich persn) without much frustration/grinding. For IC jobs, you will see postings here but the better way, as mentioned above, is to simply walk inside an open business or ask for it. You will also often see advertisements IG where players will be advertising for job openings. If a business is "open", you can find it easily on the map as they will be highlighted in green colour. BONUS INFO: This is a bit off topic but something that's better if you do it as soon as possible, that would be to get a "drivers license". You can get it in the DMV after passing a scripted exam.
