Hello, I'm happy to announce starting today we're introducing a Referral Program. The LS-RP Referral Program allows you to earn Credits by inviting your friends to play Los Santos Roleplay. After signing up to the program, a unique link will be generated for you. You will receive credits for any player who clicks your link and starts playing LS-RP. You'll be able to use the Credits to redeem any items from the Premium Store. When a player invited by you spends 36 hours in-game across all their characters, you will receive 500 Credits. For any credit purchases made by players you've invited, you will receive 10% of their value, regardless of their time spent in-game. Any player signing up through your referral link will also receive 500 Credits after spending 36 hours in-game. For example, if a player you invited spends 36 hours in-game and purchases 2500 credits, you will be awarded 750 credits in total. This is one of the few initiatives we're starting to get more people interested in the server. Word of mouth is more powerful than anything, so if you're referring your friends to the server, we want you to have something in return. This isn't applicable retroactively, so it can't be used for any players who've already made an account. Applying it retroactively would open a whole pandora's box, so we decided against it. The system is live now on the UCP and you can find it in Premium Central > Referral Program. Yours truly, Martin11 points

Thank you to everyone who came along to celebrate 'Los Santos Day 2023' with us earlier this evening - we hope you had a good time! For those who missed it, we took over Sisyphus Theater for a night of singing, speeches, music and fireworks. Kicking off festivities was Allegra Nixon singing the anthem of Los Santos: Following this patriotic tribute to our great city, Mayor Timothy Knight gave a speech. Here's a short excerpt from it: "Today, we are not just celebrating a date in history. We are commemorating the spirit of Los Santos, a spirit nurtured by its rich culture, its diverse people, and its unique heritage. A spirit that dares us to dream, and then gives us the tools to realize those dreams. In the face of any challenge, let us remember, we are Los Santos. We are the dreamers and the doers. We are the heart and the soul of this city. And together, we will build a future that our forebears would be proud of and that our children will thank us for." Finally we finished with a set from DJ Sádico and a fireworks display, accompanied by some questionable dancing from citizens and Government officials alike. Thank you for coming everyone, and Happy Los Santos Day! (Thank you to @Mouse and partner for helping with screenshots, more to follow)6 points

In this guide, I will run you through the very basics of setting up GTA V and RAGEMP, if your game isn't working or isn't working as well as it should be please follow this guide and it may fix some of your issues. Installation: To ensure the smoothest experience make sure that both GTA V and RAGEMP are installed on the same storage drive, you can install them on alternate drives but it has a chance of causing issues. I also recommend installing via Steam as the R* games launcher version has its own issues for whatever reason and doesn't work as well with RAGEMP. Settings: Already installed GTA V and need to move your game install? RAGEMP settings, here is what your settings look like; the client should initially run as administrator by default. Everything is turned off, this ensures that no additional settings are running and this is what the server recommends. Notice that the game installation and RAGE are on the same drive. Graphics + Advanced Graphics Settings The most important ones here are that you are running the game in DX11, Fullscreen and using your monitors correct resolution and refresh rate. As for advanced graphics for whatever reason, running the game at 3/2 (1.500x) seems to make it run a little better. If you are running into FPS issues, make sure MSAA is turned off, advanced settings (with the exception of Frame Scaling) are turned off, and Grass isn't on Ultra/Very High. In future I can make an in-depth guide to an FPS boost. Graphics Card Drivers The number one cause of crashes in RAGEMP I see are people not updating drivers, ensure that they are updated through either Geforce Experience or AMD Adrenaline.\ In-Game Overlays In-Game overlays such as Steam, Discord, Teamspeak, Overwolf, etc currently can cause crashes, make sure to disable all of these at least for the time being. Thanks to @sebu for bringing this to attention! Did I miss anything? Reply below and I'll get it updated.1 point

Hello, I'm happy to say that after a rocky first few days, our game server is now stable. If you were facing connection issues before, you should be able to log in game now. If you experience crashes after loading the game, this may be due to your mods or other issues we haven't properly diagnosed yet that affect a very small % of the playerbase. For the majority however, you're good to go in-game! If you're unsure how to, check out our How To Play step by step tutorial. Our main focus this past week has been stability and hotfixes. We'll be closing the suggestion board down sometime during the weekend to go over what's been posted so far and sort the suggestions between what's already been done, what we'll do and what we won't do. Join our Sunday's community meeting where we'll be more concrete about what the next feature priorities are, and how you can help decide the next steps. Here's some of the changelogs of recent server updates: - Added spawning at last location within 30 minutes of logout - Added /attributes, /examine - Added /phone, /ph to toggle phone - Added /phonenumber, /pn to view your phone number - Added /trunk support for a bunch of vehicles which have two doors in the back - Fix vehicle fuel not decreasing properly - Added vehicle /limiter - Added blacking out chatbox (/blackbehindchat, /bbc) - Added /togmap to toggle map radar - Last cycle of F7 now hides map radar and nametags - Fixed fuel not saving on /v park, /apark sometimes - Fix pagesize/chatsize sometimes setting to 1 line - Reworked vehicle access code to address crashes - Temporarily removed inventory limits - Fixed command delay - Fixed game crash related to MapTypesStore limits - /leavecompany /leavejob timer lowered to 30 minutes, 3 minutes for premium You can find changelogs on Discord's #changelog. See you ingame!1 point

No, there's no nefarious motive behind it. We are brainstorming ways to get more people into the server and this was one of the ideas I found interesting so it was pushed out now.1 point

Cool stuff, but was the referral program announced a few days after the server dropped in order to avoid the possible referrals from people who would've join anyway?1 point

The economy is perfect as is. I've barely had to grind and I'm pretty well off right now, in the sense that I got everything I need but there for sure is some street about getting enough money by Sunday to pay off the rent and car loan. And that's fine and realistic. This is not SAMP where you can just buy a 1.2M house and buy your Bullet and go chill at the mall. You can't buy expensive shit from the get go and that's perfectly fine the way it is. Speaking from the gang roleplay POV, selling drugs and having those sales actually matter money-wise and not be done just for the RP is a huge improvement, same thing for selling guns. I've made all of my money IC-ly through roleplay and I'm sure there are a lot of ways you could do that as well. Whatever happens just for the love of God don't fuck up the economy again so we have to sell pistols for 20k and M4s for 100k and a house in the hood runs you a few Ms. This is a fresh start.1 point

I feel like memorising millions of commands is outdated and anti user friendly and won’t hold retention of anyone new or returning or coming from other servers. A main menu/hub heirarchy of sorts where you can see and access everything would be nice. Is there a tutorial planned?1 point

I encourage you to play a few hours before engaging in this discussion. Every player gets over 10k+ starting cash split over multiple social security checks, instead of a lump sum. That's money for just being ingame every hour. You're then able to finance a vehicle, with 10k you can afford most of them. Then all you need is to work 1-2 hours a week, depending on what you do, to afford the weekly payments. The way we set up the economy is that after just a few days IG, you can get a vehicle without grinding and without inflating the economy with massive amount of cash from the get go.1 point
