  1. "Lspd camps south LS" **Proceeds doing shootouts non-stop** Not in LSPD nor a street gang but look at the facts, street gangs are literally bringing the lspd turf camp to themselves
  2. No offense but if typing a small paragraph for a ticket makes you not respond you might want to re-evaluate your faction choice. As stated above no one is talking about writing a freaking essay but just a paragraph to briefly describe the situation. If you're that lazy then maybe a heavy roleplay server isn't your place especially in a legal faction. Point number 2 is only a minority of players will go through the process. Just like real life if you know you're in the wrong you won't contest it. At the end of the day we're talking about more or less writing 1 paragraph to describe what happened...
  3. Yeah, I figured that would be the main problem with In game court. But maybe have someone represent the officer on their behalf? We're talking traffic infractions anyways, dashcam footage present in most cases? I don't have a definitive solution for you. I shall think about it during this week.
  4. @SCANDALOUZ I agree with a lot of your points. But something is flagrant right now on the server, the issues with street gangs. No specific ones in particular. But if you take a look at the amount of killings that happens and the INSANE amount of forum reports on the daily.... Clearly something needs to be done, because these players don't seem to care about dying. The PF license regulations are too loose for criminals. I'm not against using a PF license gun to commit crimes and robberies but something HAS to be done. It feels a lot like a cops and robbers down in Davis/Rancho/Strawberry. The amount of toxicity OOC from these street gangs is a joke right now. So, I feel like something has to be put in place to maybe limit the shootouts a bit, and my solution would be with prison. First off, switch to a days system instead of 10 hours for a murder. You get caught killing or with a felony, well I'm sorry but your guy is in prison for the next 7 days. And it goes down offline. That would promote the future DOC and maybe slow down the rampages. And bring a 3 strike system. 3 bad felonies like murder and violent crimes and your character is now in perma prison forever. Enough is enough, it's not role-play but dm out there.
  5. Yeah, as I said if you treat it like your municipal court it would fix a lot of issues with delays. Most of the traffic tickets are self-represented (From my personal experience). It just takes a judge that is aware that the defendant isn't going to be 100% accurate on laws and precedents. Also, I could even see the traffic court being done both in game and on the forums. We're talking about 10-20 mins per case tops. That could be cool too. Would love to be able to just go watch the traffic court and enjoy the role-play.
  6. Well looks like you have the motivation for it, may I also suggest adding DUI to the traffic court as well as everything regarding commercial vehicles. Overall, I feel like it would be a great addition to the server if it's done properly, the usual issues with courts is how slow the process is. If you guys can figure out a way to have it done within a few days on the forums that would be great, maybe make it feel like a municipal court?
  7. (Having issues taking screenshots, so these are random without context, sorry)
  8. Gotta let the past be the past, also no one is going to go back to samp after GTA V. Heck even GTA V is getting old at this point (2013). Also scripting for SAMP is way harder and no devs are going to go back to that cluster f*** that samp was. We have the old forums if you want to relive the old memories. Samp won't get any updates but rage still gets updates, and even the base GTA V game gets new vehicles added pretty often. Samp is dead, sorry to tell you but most of the playerbase wouldn't return to samp
  9. Is your name an abbreviation for Dad orange juice?
  10. This is just my first test to see how screenshots looks on the forums!!!! More to come
  11. Future irl millionaire
  12. Yeah those changes are great and will make a good difference, the only thing left I would do if I were you guys was the "Don't pay or we'll take it away" for vehicle loans and future mortgages. Maybe have a system that doesn't allow you to spawn the vehicle until the payments balance is paid. So that way you don't lose the money spent on a car loan or mortgage. Let's say you missed 1 week of payments and you couldn't play that week. Well if you make more money you could be able to just pay the amount due and then avoid losing your vehicle/property because of IRL reasons that forced you not to play that week. But yeah overall it's a great step and I'm happy with these changes. The social check you get is decent enough to allow you to play and rp and still avoid grinding. Good job Roze
  13. Never saw the point of ERP. F2B for rp purposes no? There's plenty of free websites out there to do your buisness. This imo has no place on an RP server as it doesn't bring any benefits and is hella weird, especially since you don't know who's playing on the other side of the character, ew!
  14. I think you forgot the part where that 285$ goes away after you hit level 4. Current system is flawed and turns players away from rp and puts them to asset over RP. Also meaning if anyone plays a legal character that is in any faction, PD, SD, GOV, or FD. They won't be able to afford a rent+ car unless they play 9 hours a week after they hit level 4.
  15. Couldn't have said it better myself, also it's really important that an asset tax is implemented. That will really help in the end, especially if it makes being rich and owning a lot of high value assets a problem. Because then you'll have to create ways to avoid tax or not but face the consequences.
  16. Wasn't my intention, but yeah if you can't sell those to other players yeah that would work. But i meant unfair as in if someone wants to make a rich character, and is given straight assets that part would be unfair.
  17. I like this, but it would bring a lot of issues on it's own and could be unfair. I think like I posted above, a weekly income of 3,000$ after social security could be nice.
  18. Maybe give everyone like a 3,000$ basic weekly income but if you surpass an amount of assets then you don't get it anymore (Could be abused)
  19. I understand fully that this was a decision done by management and I appreciate the efforts done by Roze to create a realistic model. It was clearly a success and really feels like IRL, this struggle for high car payments + rent (or mortgage) feels like my current situation IRL. But this is not what a RP server should stride towards and let me explain. The current system forces you to grind to afford very basic needs (vehicle+rent) and limits role-play instead of promoting it. Let's say your rent is 200$ a week and your car payment after a 15% down is 500$. It means you have to net a clear income of 700$ minimum weekly to survive. Doesn't sound so bad on paper, but in the current state of the server this means you have to focus work for at least 3-5 hours a week. Which is terrible, especially if your character cannot truck, mow lawn, fish or pick garbage since it might not be realistic for the said character. And sure I know what the reply is; just wait for businesses to hire people and work at a business. Firstly, there's a lack of cash-flow on the server and the cash-flow will always be an issue with this model. No cash-flow, low income, high weekly cost to survive equals less money to spend on said businesses. If you don't have much spare income how are you supposed to go spending if you barely have extra. What if you want to spend 3-4 hours role-playing something that isn't money related? You are screwed! Please revamp the whole system, it's broken and it steers players towards asset over role-play. Currently LS-RP is trucking simulator , fishing sim and lawn mower sim in GTA V. All you see is people grinding since they want to afford a down payment on a vehicle they want. I'm not pointing fingers, I just ponder why it was chosen. Also if you are going with a low income system, furniture should be 100% free with these prices makes no sense to have to pay to furnish an interior. And while I didn't touch the illegal side of income (Which will arrive eventually). No cash-flow issue arises once more and your char might not have money to afford drugs or illegal goods. So I skipped this part for that reason. Fun vs realism is the debate here and I feel like we're too far over realism. I would highly advise a poll or something to have a feel for what players want. It's not too late to fix the system, but I know for a fact it already drove people away. The current realistic system drives away the fun, but who really asked for realism? And while it's done to avoid over inflation, said inflation is going to happen anyways at a very very reduced pace since of the cash-flow issue. But it'll happen regardless once the server runs out of the most valuable thing which is property (excluding apartments). TLDR: Current system forces grinding to afford basic needs and reduces role-play instead of promoting it, even if inflation is inevitable in the end.
  20. Sure, I get that but then vehicle prices needs to be adjusted as they are all over the place right now. And look let's say the salary goes x10 and instead of making 100$ an hour you make 1000$. It would still take a real grinder like 200-300 hours for that person to get one of the most expansive vehicle on the server. I don't grind, never have never will because I don't play the game for virtual assets, but if I want to own a 4x4 pickup for my character because I play on the county and I can't afford a basic truck even after 20 hours+ And that I play 10 hours a week where if I don't grind for money I'll lose my vehicle because of a loan. It seems limiting, this is a game not real life 2.0. Those are just my thoughts.
