  1. Hello, As we announced earlier this week, our SA-MP server is finally ready for a pre-release. I want to talk a bit about what this means, why we’re doing it and what’s the plan with (not only) the SA-MP server going forward. When we set out to bring back the SA-MP server a month ago, I had a condition that if we’re doing this, it has to be done right. The SA-MP server has serious legacy and I’d consider it improper to rush it out the door like it’s no big deal. The server and all the data connected to it has been sitting in the vault for around three years now and I was surprised to be reminded just how complex the infrastructure around it is. Over the past month, we’ve been all hands on deck in development and leadership to bring the server out as soon as possible, no compromise. Majority of the work we’ve done was captured on our SA-MP Roadmap, which we kept updated periodically to keep you in the loop on our progress. There’s still a lot more to do, mainly staff and admin tools, and strengthening our AntiCheat, which has honestly been lackluster even three years ago, let alone now. We want to be prepared for the players and do our best to provide a fun space to play. I’ll be honest I’m surprised by the amount of people interested in the pre-release already. We opened the server up to premium members yesterday, a day earlier than promised. As of writing this, 130 players have joined the pre-release so far by activating a premium membership (including those with leftover credits from Patreon). And that’s only during the sneaky-surprise-don’t-tell-anyone pre-pre-release! But yes, it’s a huge relief to see the interest this early on. It allows the community to be self-sustainable for the foreseeable future without having to worry how to pool funds to keep the lights on. So I’d like to extend my gratitude to everyone who chose to donate by purchasing a premium membership, or plans on doing so - thanks to you we’re able to keep going. Thankfully we haven’t experienced any major issues during the pre-release yet. We found a few issues in our infra, but nothing we couldn’t fix over the upcoming week. We’ll see what we’ll have thrown our way still. The early stability is a testament to the great work that’s been done by our staff team - thank you everyone who tested, developed or otherwise helped prepare for this milestone. We're listening, hearing, watching and seeing. Your feedback during pre-release and post-launch is very important to us and we'll use it to shape what's going to be prioritized going forward. I've put our head of project @Sal (and of course rest of our lead team as well) on a mission to put the needs of the community, and the server, first and help us translate that into actions. We also realize the importance of marketing efforts we need to do now, and we're on top of it. To join the pre-release: Make an account on our User Control Panel Fill out a character application (or just create a character if you already have one and want another) Purchase credits and activate Premium Membership in the Premium Central Download SA-MP 0.3.DL-R1 Connect to server.ls-rp.com:7777 using your account name ("UCP name") Optionally, you can download the model cache directory from our Model List Page. Looking forward seeing many familiar, and new faces ingame! IC Social Media As promised, we’re also launching an In Character social media platform for our SA-MP server. Since we already use faceinvader for RAGE, welcome our newest domain portfolio addition: myface.site. The facebook inspired IC social media platform is available to use now and anyone can make account, even if you’re not a part of the pre-release, or are otherwise unable to go ingame. Contact @badhbh, the head of in-game social media platforms in case you have any questions. Model Previews About four-five years ago I started working on a suite of tools to allow us to render any models from GTA:SA in the browser. This includes skins, vehicles (including mods!), objects, custom maps and so on. I spent some time dusting it off and adding support for edge cases in RW rendering and optimizing it so we can fully utilize it in our pipeline. What this allows us to do is to not only render all your skins and modded vehicles on the UCP and render them in real time in your browser, but for example it allowed us to render the entire GTA:SA map, including our custom maps (including custom game models!) and outside furniture, in great detail. You can see a small preview of it already when you change spawn on the UCP, but just to get a picture for the actual scale of it, check out this POC and try zooming around different parts of the map to see (not only) our custom mapping in great detail. While this was maybe a bit over the top to prepare for a simple skin and spawn change, it lays out great potential for a very powerful “map on the web” feature, once we take full advantage of it. Anyway just something I got excited about. Aerial view of a custom map in Pershing Square and the custom LSPD Metro Station V-estern Front For our RAGE Multiplayer server, we’re currently testing two features: in-game television system to watch content together, and an improved minigame (breakin). I’ve also started work on a Casino Roulette script, as another part in our Gamba Feature Series. Don't forget to have fun. Martin

  6. That was random. All I'm saying is I'm glad it went well, I guess. But for the actual release of the server there needs to be some sort of build up and hype for it to just pop off huge for the public release. Half the people anticipating this release don't even have the game installed yet I bet. Maybe make a reward or something too for people who come to the 1st day public release. You need hype, build up, anticipation, and it can't be random like this was. U gotta have people saying "I can't wait till LSRP drops on Saturday!" or whenever.

  10. Los Angeles Gang Cars As with almost everything in LA gang culture, there are exceptions to every 'rule'. This guide, however, aims to give a basic (and perhaps somewhat simplified) outline of the various 'cars' that exist in LA, and their relationships with one another. I've also included some comical descriptions of some gangs/cars that were produced by LA Hood Media. Generally speaking, these cards are used to formulate cliques within county jails, although again these are not always so clear cut. Disclaimer: This guide is simply composed from the information in which I have gathered over the years in researching gangs in LA and and talking to their members. I am positively sure that even amongst actual gang members from LA, much of this information could be disputed. With that said, if you have a compelling argument that you would like to share with me in regards to the information posted here, I would be glad to hear you out over Discord (tmc.noel) or Forum PM. To avoid unconstructive back and forth/attempts at public dick-measuring contests, I would ask that you raise any concerns with me in private rather than in the replies here. Rollin' O's/NHC (SCLA): Description: The Rollin' O's/NeighborHood Crips are two cars that are technically seperate, although are so similar in nature that they are typically considered to be the same thing. Where you will find a gang that claims Rollin', you will almost always (with the exception of the Rollin' 30's Harlem Crips) find that they also claim NeighborHood. In contrast, gangs such as the East Coast Crips are considered (at least in the modern day) to be part of the NeighborHood Crip card, but not the Rollin' O's card. Examples: Rollin' 30's Harlem Crip, Rollin' 40's NeighborHood Crip, Rollin' 60's NeighborHood Crip, 76 East Coast Crip, Rollin' 100's Crip. Relations: The Rollin' O's/NeighborHood Crips are one of the largest but most hated cards in the city. They have beef with almost every other car that exists in LA, including the Hoover Criminals, Bloods/Brims/Piru and Gangster Crips. Deuces (2x) (West LA): Description: The Deuces (2x) are a card that is often incorrectly made synonymous with the aforementioned Rollin O's and NeighborHood Crips. In actuality, the Deuces (2x) are a completely separate card that exists only in West LA. With that said, the reason for their association with Rollin' and NHC gangs is a valid one, in that they almost always hang out with and share enemies with NHC and Rollin gangs. The importance in recognising this difference is that Deuces (2x) do not claim NHC/Rollin', and NHC/Rollin' gangs do not claim Deuces (2x). Examples: West Boulevard Crip, Geer Gang Crip, Venice Shoreline Crip. Relations: The Deuces (2x) card shares the same enemies as the Rollin'/NHC card, but due to their geographical location tend to beef more with Trays (3x) gangs, as well as Bloods/Brims/Pirus over Hoover Criminals and SCLA Gangster Crips. Gangster Crips (Movin') (SCLA), Trays (3x) (West LA, LBC): Description: The Gangster Crips are a separate off-shoot of the original Crip gangs that were formed during the 1970s and 1980s. They are typically more renowned for infighting within their card, and there are various gangs that claim Gangster Crip or Movin' that are not considered to be true members of the Gangster Crip/Movin' card by other gangs (for instance 4238 Gangster Crip). The term 'Movin' originates as a response to the 'Rollin' gangs that the Gangster Crips came into conflict with. Unlike the Deuces (2x) card's differentiation between themselves and NHC/Rollin O's, the Trays (3x) card is a lot more closely linked to the other Gangster Crips in SCLA. You might often see 83 Gangster Crip writing '3x' on a wall for instance (some would argue because of 83 Gangsters, others because they claim Trays (3x)). There are arguments to be had as to whether the two should be considered separate in the same way that Deuces (2x) and Rollin/NHC are, however generally speaking I believe most people would categorize them together at least in the modern day. Examples: Playboy Gangster Crips (Trays 3x), Marvin Gangster Crips (Trays 3x), Blastin Fools Gangster Crips (Trays 3x), Avalon Gangster Crips, 52/112 Broadway Gangster Crip, 83 Gangster Crip, 87 Gangster Crip, 4238 Gangster Crip (conflicted opinions). Relations: The Gangster Crips typically are neutral with Hoover Criminals, have mixed relations with Bloods/Brims/Pirus and strongly oppose NeighborHood/Rollin' Crips. They have various inner conflicts across gangs within the card. Bloods/Brims/Pirus (Damu) (SCLA, CPT, Watts, Inglewood): Description: Bloods, Brims and Pirus are typically considered the #1 enemy towards all Crips. In the 20th century, this was definitely closer to being the case, however due to the continuous infighting between gangs, this is no longer really true. Due to historically being outnumbered by opposing gangs (particularly Bloods and Brims), relations between the various 'Damu' (blood) gangs in LA have been less rocky than that of the Crips, as 'Damu' gangs have often relied on cliqueing up with another to defeat their enemies. The same cannot necessarily said for the Pirus that are found in Compton (Bompton) who tend to defy the bounds of typical card's relations, beefing between specific neighborhoods rather than card vs card. Examples: Rollin 30's Piru, Rollin' 20's NeighborHood Bloods, Fruit Town Brim, Rollin' 20's Outlaw Bloods, Mad Swan Bloods, Harvard Park Brim, Van Ness Gangster Brim, Centinela Park Family Bloods, Inglewood Family Gangster Bloods, Avenue Piru, Westside Piru, Mob Piru, Bounty Hunter Watts Bloods. Relations: Blood/Brim/Piru gangs typically oppose all Crips, but particularly NeighborHood/Rollin/Deuces (2x) crips in the modern day. They are typically neutral with Hoover Criminals, and some Blood gangs even share alliances with Gangster Crips (usually) in the modern day. Hoover Criminals (SCLA): Description: The Hoover Criminals are another one of the main cars that can be found in SCLA. They were originally known as the Hoover Groovers, then the Hoover Crips, but dropped the 'Crips' in place of 'Criminals' due to conflict between themselves and various Crip sets in the 1990s. The Hoovers are often regarded as one of the most notorious cards in the city due to the fact that they have historically pushed the 'EBK' (everybody killa) identity. In the modern day however, they primarily only share conflict with the various NHC/Rollin gangs. Examples: 52 Hoover Gangster Crips, 74 Hoover Criminals Gang, 83 Hoover Criminals Gang, 924 Hoover Criminals Gang, 107 Hoover Criminals Gang, 112 Hoover Criminals Gang. Relations: In the modern day, the Hoover Criminal's primary adversaries belong to the NHC/Rollin' O's card. They are typically neutral or allied with Gangster Crips, and some sets have specific beef with certain Blood/Brim/Piru gangs, although they share an equal number of neutral relationships with Bloods/Brims/Pirus. Hub & Dub (CPT, Watts): Description: The Hub (Hub City) and Dub (the letter 'W' in Watts) card is an alliance that exists between Watts Crips and Compton Crips, which primarily exists in county jails. This card is not as organised as the aforementioned cards due to the fact that conflict within Watts and Compton is very complex and tends to be on a neighborhood vs neighborhood basis, rather than many gangs versus many gangs like we see in SCLA. Examples: Atlantic Drive Compton Crip, South Side Compton Crips, Kelly Park Compton Crips, Park Village Compton Crips, PJ Watts Crips, Grape Street Watts Crips, Ten Line Gangster Crips. Relations: As aforementioned, since the conflicts within Watts and Compton are typically between specific neighborhoods, rather than being card on card, blood on crip etc. it is not very easy to categorize their relationships. The Hub & Dub card exists primarily to help fight larger enemies (such as Bloods/Brims/Pirus) in county jails, and is less important on the streets. Long Beach Crips (LBC): Description: The Long Beach Crip card is another card which really only exists behind the walls of a county jail. In fact, most of the gangs that make up the Long Beach Crip card in jail have conflict on the streets outside - this is often put aside to fend off common enemies such as hispanic gangs. Examples: Rollin 20's Long Beach Crip, (Baby) Insane Gangster Crip, Westcoast 80's Crip, Blacc Bandit Crip, Linden Blocc Gangster Crip, Mac Mafia Crip, Naughty Nasty Gangster Crip. Relations: Long Beach Crips have their own conflicts on the streets, which are generally shared between the Northside and Eastside, as well as between the gangs that claim Movin, Swervin and Rollin. On top of that, there is a racial element to the conflicts in Long Beach - pitting black gangs against hispanic gangs. Individual gangs share certain relations with gangs in SCLA or other parts of LA, such as the Insane Crip's alliance with Hoover Criminals. Others: Mafia Crip (SCLA), Hustler Crip (SCLA): Description: These are grouped together primarily because they have very little remaining gangs that remain exclusively within each card. For instance, gangs such as Main Street Mafia Crip have practically aligned to the NHC/Rollin O's card, to the point in which some members even claim NHC, this means that there is really only one true active Mafia Crip gang left in SCLA, which is W/S 99 Mafia Crip (not E/S 99 Mafia Watts Crip). The same can be said for Hustler Crips in that the only active remaining true Hustler Crip gang is Eastside Hustler Crip (104HXHC claim Rollin' O's/NHC due to affinity with the Rollin' 100's alliance). Generally speaking, when it comes to county jail, these cards would simply clique up with their allies. Examples: W/S 99 Mafia Crip, Eastside Hustler Crip. Relations: Each of these cards have their own relations with other gangs that are now based more around neighborhood vs neighborhood conflict, versus card vs card conflict.

  15. El Corona has always been a stronghold for illicit activity, even during the First World War the area was known for not only its roughness but had a reputation for its high poverty rate although residents knew nothing of what was becoming of the neighborhood before the early 1920s. Residents of El Corona became more and more engrossed in ways that friends would come together and defend the area from gangs that were popping up at the time, gangs that included Big Hazard and White Fence but despite these events, the famous Zoot Suit Riots of the 1940s are what shone light on the 38th Street Gang in a way that would change the course of the gangs actions and reputation within Los Santos forever. The Sleepy Lagoon Murder consisted of multiple teenage 38th Street gang members brutally murdering a young boy by the name of Jose Diaz at a water reservoir which was often visited by gang members. 600 Mexican teenagers all over Los Santos were hauled up by LSPD for the heinous crime although eventually 22 members of the 38th Street Gang including some female affiliates were tried and the event would lead to the single largest mass trial on record in San Andreas. From 1999 up until around mid 2019, the 38th Street Gangs impact on the southern side of the city was devastating to not only the local residents but to law enforcement alike as new cliques flagging the neighborhood started popping up within the immediate area. The tiny locotes (TLS) were among the first clickas to originate out of the gang all the way back in the 1920s, now in current times there are over 12 different clickas across three different states all flagging for the same cause. In Los Santos, the 38th Street gang holds 6 sets; Tiny Locotes (TLS), Gardenas Locos (GLS), Krazy Katz (KZK), Tiny Winos (TWS), Pee Wee Gangsters (PWGS) & Tiny Diablas (TDS), each set with their own reputations and input on the lives they live. In 2019 a rival gang; Bounty Hunter Bloods (BHB) took their chances and sparked a war which would end up making national news with a body count of over 30 people over the course of a year, Oscar "Blueboy" Huerta along with other original new generation 38th Streeters at the time including Antonio "Shaggy" Merino, Andres "Casper" Artego, Joshua "Bugs" Pena, Owen "Stomper" Nereyo and the famous Dennis "Creeper" Grajeda engaged deep in the war between the two gangs, often plotting on ways to score points and cleanse the 38th Street flats of blacks. After a long and bloody war between two gangs that lasted almost two years, the 38th Streeters eventually managed to push back and take the flats with force which resulted in a mass shootout within the 38th Street car lot. After taking back control of the flats, another spark ignited only this time it was directed from the Eastside Hustler Crips (EHC). During this time of conflict, the 38th Street Gang were also up against a gang injunction order which made them prone to constant stop and searches and the avoidance of their friends due to the court order; making attacks on rival gangs 10 times as hard.
