Just bring back old system. You guys are forgetting, we are LS:RP. How many people over here had millions sitting in banks and we used the funds to create RP, using cash to purchase properties, furniture them for sick ass vibes and all that. We don't care about money, we just use that shit to create more possibilities. When I was running Russian scene on SAMP, I'd have my crew scout some cars and snap pictures of them. Pass it over to me and I'd forward to other organized crimes that were my business associates. They'd get back with me with the car they liked and my crew would jack that ride, we'd RP the entire process of document, VIN swap and all that and after couple days of RPing in garage doing all that, I'd buy the car from DS and sell it half-price to the OC affiliate. So if its elegant that was 120k, I'd sell them that for 60k, but I'd just raise up prices of gun/drugs for a little while until 60k would be paid off, but that would take even up-to 2-3 month for them to slowly pay it back to balance it out, but core point is...we used money to create sick RP instead of grinding/waiting for cash for months to create more RP. Don't forget the important factor that, lots of us are older these days. This ain't 08-2016 where we were young and had plenty of time on our hands, majority of players are probably mid 20's right now and when you wanna come IG to be able to do epic shit that you been doing on here since 07-09 and etc... grinding for cash from beginning is pretty harsh. If not, at least give us good cash boosts. Let people get back on their feet , get some vehicle, property and such. Because expecting everyone to follow "realistic" economy is harsh, because end of the day. Economy will still get fucked up, it's just matter of time. Multiple servers across all platforms tried it, but end of the day. It's a game and nobody wants to grind. On LSRP we got standards, there's special thing about us and nobody gave a shit that you had couple hundred grand sitting in the bank. 80 percent of people RP'ed broke or fitting their characters-RP developing assets, nobody proper RP'ed having mils in their bank. How many gang members out here had millions, but RP'ed broke as shit, but used the funds to purchase vehicles, get properties mapped out so it feels enjoyable to RP around whole hood scene...3 points

ever since we more or less got access to LSRP ive been thinking about this a LOT, this isnt just about money as an item but its the idea overall, arching over concepts too when you think about it to begin with, how will businesses function if the economy is so realistic? are you going to get scraps for almost two hours of work? the owner will want to squeeze you for every dime they can, so they'll pay you the most minimum wage possible, because he has to earn too, right? alcohol n allat, which is obviously fair because thats what a business is for. what about criminal rp? i had an idea of making a brewery where we make half-baked alcohol but try and disguise it as a luxury brand, but theres no system in place, and with an economy like this theres no way staff would just let us /createitem or whatever and then sell it, because that'd inflate the economy. or what if we have a pawnshop, and we sell RP items? in such an economy, nobody will ever want to spend hard earned money on an item you can't use in any way. this wasn't a problem in ANOTHER SERVER because money was much more readily accessible, in fact, pawnshops were great there, and fun to have. my MC used to steal all sorts of appliances and we made a deal agreement with another MCs pawnshop to unload everything we stole. It was fucking fun as fuck having a relationship like that between two MCs, and felt really cinematic. i seriously think that if we made money a lot more accessible, it would also really incentivize non-profit roleplay, but to combat this, we should also increase the prices for everything remotely luxurious and keep an eye on characters that shouldn't have that kind of shit with whatever background theyre roleplaying. anyway, Charles Schwab ova here2 points

I recently found some of my IC photos from SAMP LSRP and decided to use them to create a collection of forum profile banners. All banners contain images which were taken and edited ICly in the original LSRP. Feel free to take any that you like and use them on your profile, or just enjoy the art 🙂.1 point

I understand fully that this was a decision done by management and I appreciate the efforts done by Roze to create a realistic model. It was clearly a success and really feels like IRL, this struggle for high car payments + rent (or mortgage) feels like my current situation IRL. But this is not what a RP server should stride towards and let me explain. The current system forces you to grind to afford very basic needs (vehicle+rent) and limits role-play instead of promoting it. Let's say your rent is 200$ a week and your car payment after a 15% down is 500$. It means you have to net a clear income of 700$ minimum weekly to survive. Doesn't sound so bad on paper, but in the current state of the server this means you have to focus work for at least 3-5 hours a week. Which is terrible, especially if your character cannot truck, mow lawn, fish or pick garbage since it might not be realistic for the said character. And sure I know what the reply is; just wait for businesses to hire people and work at a business. Firstly, there's a lack of cash-flow on the server and the cash-flow will always be an issue with this model. No cash-flow, low income, high weekly cost to survive equals less money to spend on said businesses. If you don't have much spare income how are you supposed to go spending if you barely have extra. What if you want to spend 3-4 hours role-playing something that isn't money related? You are screwed! Please revamp the whole system, it's broken and it steers players towards asset over role-play. Currently LS-RP is trucking simulator , fishing sim and lawn mower sim in GTA V. All you see is people grinding since they want to afford a down payment on a vehicle they want. I'm not pointing fingers, I just ponder why it was chosen. Also if you are going with a low income system, furniture should be 100% free with these prices makes no sense to have to pay to furnish an interior. And while I didn't touch the illegal side of income (Which will arrive eventually). No cash-flow issue arises once more and your char might not have money to afford drugs or illegal goods. So I skipped this part for that reason. Fun vs realism is the debate here and I feel like we're too far over realism. I would highly advise a poll or something to have a feel for what players want. It's not too late to fix the system, but I know for a fact it already drove people away. The current realistic system drives away the fun, but who really asked for realism? And while it's done to avoid over inflation, said inflation is going to happen anyways at a very very reduced pace since of the cash-flow issue. But it'll happen regardless once the server runs out of the most valuable thing which is property (excluding apartments). TLDR: Current system forces grinding to afford basic needs and reduces role-play instead of promoting it, even if inflation is inevitable in the end.1 point

Due to South LS and other parts of the map such as El Burro, Paleto Bay doesn't have many hoods, I believe it would expand ILLEGAL-RP if the modding team were able to create custom map additions. This would create a unique experience for players who wish to play a text based server and improve gang roleplay around South Central and any other area where housing areas can be created. Some areas in which I believe would be best for map additions: Grove Street: Davis Mega-MALL: Example of what I am talking about:1 point

The economy is fine the way it is, it kills the people who only log in to spam jobs in hopes of getting rich overnight and logging out or buying up expensive houses just to hold on to them for years just to say you have it. I feel as if this economy forces you to actually go out and create roleplay, in real life you're most likely not gonna get rich working a 9 to 5 but you for sure can live comfortably from one depending on what type of degrees/certifications you may have but that's besides the point. If you solely rely on one source of income as an average joe then you'll either live a normal life with your head just above water or you'll become a victim of poverty. Want extra money? Go create something to make you extra money that involves play-to-player transactions, there's no cap/taper on that. This is a heavy-rp server and everyone loves to cry about realism until it doesn't benefit them. Keep it the way it is and get creative and find more ways to make money besides a job is basically what i'm trying to say.1 point

With this part, I believe it's because these factions had their roster squared away 9 months ago at the least, going back a year or two perhaps, so there's not much need for new players right at the start. While I can definitely get wanting a proper supervisory team with all the rules, handbooks for each unit, etc all written out far in advance so they're ready to just go for it at launch, it does suck that new players aren't able to chase those opportunities because the PD, for instance, already filled up a roster of 120-ish long before a launch date was even given. That said though I saw a posting earlier today that FD was opening soon, so it's not like they'll all just be closed forever.1 point

It kind of feels like everyone is just grinding for cash at the moment and not really roleplaying, I think the economy needs a little bit of an overhaul to stop the game from becoming a, work just to barely make ends meet sim. I think once the server connection issues are fixed the server will really start to feel more alive. I know a lot of friends and factions are quite disjointed at the moment because half of them can’t get in game. The following changes would be great though! : Link levels to UCP, not character. (Would need to link starter paychecks to hours played on character) Don’t require character application for subsequent characters after the first has been accepted. Create a “spawn at last location” option. It’s mad frustrating crashing then spawning back at your spawn point. Unlock /f chat. Allow face customisation in game without needing to reset appearance on the UCP. Important for gang roleplay when players age up. Hotkeys for /lock /engine /enter and /buy. Completely remove the theory test from the driver’s license exam, or at least make all retries free. Right now it’s kinda a fucked up mess of IC and OOC laws that contradict each other and plenty of people have wasted all their money trying to pass it. It’s quite literally turning some players away from the server and doesn’t really serve a purpose.1 point

I feel like memorising millions of commands is outdated and anti user friendly and won’t hold retention of anyone new or returning or coming from other servers. A main menu/hub heirarchy of sorts where you can see and access everything would be nice. Is there a tutorial planned?0 points

i feel like everything is way too vanilla and grindy which are 2 big issues. character customization is laughable, and tbh should be the thing you guys should worry about the most, thats what keeps players playing, knowing their character is unique0 points
