I wouldn't mind seeing it sync up with California, but I also think maybe halving the day could be good? Instead of 24 hours in a day/night cycle it could be 12, offset it some or maybe switch it up every month or so and people could get to play in both day and night fairly frequently. It's not like the real world time really holds much weight when it comes to RP.

Does, when anything has to be organized for factions.

Syncing up with California is the only thing that makes sense in my opinion.

I don't mind it being synced with Los Angeles, but I want to get some night time during peak hours in Central Europe, as well.

None of the choices available tbh, keeping the factor of irl time zones and people living in other countries, have it so there’s 2 12 hour time cycles so everyone will be able to see both night and day time.

It should be sync with LA time & weather, I hate staying up all late at night to just RP in the day time to create more immersion. Start out with PST if it doesn't work out, do GMT or British Time.

GMT, majority rules in this case and the majority of players can play with the GMT timezone on the server.

 

Halfing the server time cycle will complicate things with dates and times. We’ll be in 2024 by the end of 2022 if that idea ever passes through. Big no from me.

7-11 PM dusk, 11-3/4am night and 3/4 AM-7 PM day. this way the night is shortened for american players allowing them access to day earlier, and players on at peak get to experience dusk -> night which is the most important time of day 

 

but actual time should b represented through GMT
