  3. I'll just put down my two cents when it comes to talking about staff members not replying to you the way you feel is just, remember that as you are grown man(mostly likely), there's also a grown man on the other side of the screen reading your comment. Maybe if your comment isn't hostile and given properly, you can get a proper answer back without making your discussion partner feel threatened. If your comment is "fix this cause it looks like shit", you will get a shitty reply back, and that's common sense IRL. If you are an adult as you state, I don't know how you expect someone to be so professional and well mannered for something they are not getting paid for. Hell, sometimes even when you're at work and someone talks to you shitty, you might reply back aggressively. Imagine for a gaming community. Each day isn't the same, someone might have a hard day at work and come back to do your mapping or scripting so they chill and get away from things. Imagine if that person comes on the forums after their work is shown to the community and the feedback is like the ones I read before, to a mapping that it reads with RED LETTERS on top that "It isn't final work". You really need to take a chill and think that someone, whoever that was, who took time from their day to make it - probably isn't in the mood to read your negative feedback in the way you state it, which is 80% of the times impolite and very harsh. I don't say that for something specific said over here right now, but I saw again the "some staff take things defensively". There's two sides of the coin, you just gotta put your ego away. And I hold Staff accountable for that too (including myself).

  7. Greetings LS-RP! Over the past few days, I have been working to make LS-RP a better place for both staff and players. Firstly, I want to address some issues within the staff team, as they have been mentioned multiple times by both community members and staff. We have started to remove inactive members from the team. By the end of the month, all of our current "dead weight" will be removed. After receiving suggestions here and internally within the staff team, I’ve revised some of our policies. One of the revisions concerns the rule that admins can’t handle their own situations. While the policy wasn’t explicitly worded this way, it was intended to prevent conflicts of interest or bias when admins were involved in situations. Admins could handle these situations if no other admin was available, but this was often misunderstood and didn’t happen in practice. For the sake of both players and the admin team, this rule has been removed. The admin team is now expected to use common sense, along with the training they received during their Trainee Admin phase. Regarding policies, we’ve clarified our stance on "education over punishment." I believe this stance was misunderstood and taken too literally. Since the rule was introduced, there has been excessive leniency within the staff team when it comes to punishments. For example, you might have seen a level 30 player breaking basic rules and receiving multiple warnings instead of being properly punished. Our Admin Team has now been instructed on how to handle these situations, and you will see us becoming stricter with those who have previously abused this leniency. In the past week or so, we’ve also increased the number of active mappers and modders on the team. You may have seen some of their work on our Discord. For those who haven’t, I’ll display some examples below that will be included in our next update. The following is a WIP / Example of what the mapping team is up to, this is to do some long awaited map updates (THIS IS NOT FINAL AND CAN CHANGE) : Along with this, I’ve worked with IFT/IFTC to establish a direct line of communication between our teams. This is aimed at improving wait times, communication, and addressing the various concerns that have been brought up in this thread. A special shout-out to anyone who has previously had issues with requesting maps or receiving responses from the modding or mapping teams. If you have maps ready and just need them added, feel free to send them over to me, and we’ll verify and add them. One key point that has been raised is the new player experience. As @ROZE is our Head of Player Experience for SA-MP, I’ve asked him to investigate how leadership and development can improve this experience from the very beginning. We’ll have more insight and information on this soon. If you have any clear examples, please direct them to @ROZE. I know there are many more points in this thread, but I hope this provides the transparency the community has been seeking. I will be working through the thread and taking everything into consideration, addressing quick wins where possible. Larger and more complex issues may take time to resolve, but I appreciate that the time to act is now, and we are doing just that. I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas festivities and spending time with loved ones. That’s all from me for now. Peace & Love, Jack

  9. The Hop Sing Tong has a storied history in the United States going back to 1875. Originally set up as a meeting ground and place for Chinese immigrants, it soon became a place for criminal elements to set up in the land of opportunity. This major Tong has been quiet since the public murder of high profile member Benjamin Huang in 2020. With his demise, Chinese influence at the San Fierro docks and across the state as a whole, only went quieter instead of disappearing. The Hop Sing Tong is still a prevalent organization across the State of San Andreas and its' membership reaches into many facets of Chinese American society across the state. One can only wonder what they’ve been up to in the mean-time.

  11. I remember before FBMC closed, meaning before Klag got to his position as he mentions, that IFC already approached us for mapping. We did forward a mapping request back then but went unnoticed. I'm pretty sure current IFC is active enough to follow up requests and get them done. I'd suggest factions to forward them. Look at what Barons got themselves into. Back in the day, you would NEVER get such thing for your faction (mind you, they were unofficial back then). And I'm pretty sure @drumj and people with his talent are up to help. He actually has helped me a few times with ideas about mapping and decorating. All you gotta do is ask nowadays, to be honest. But I really understand where this thread comes from since I'm too old in here to know how bad it was few years ago.

  12. Jack has mentioned that if you've got mapping ready to be added to shoot him a message. Without making an excuse, mapping requests can go unnoticed/aren't followed up on till weeks later etc or any other circumstance like it being buggy etc, but if you have any mapping or anyone else for the matter of fact, message Jack with it.

  15. This is the most dumb as rocks response I’ve ever read. If you’ve got nothing nice to say or Atleast nothing constructive then don’t say it at all. What help are you submitting this message to rub your little ethug persona a bit of pride. The modding team are working hard and making some cool shit. It’s a step in the right direction; if you give them praise and constructive feedback they can learn and improve. Lead don’t command it’s not rocket science. Show people a better way forward instead of barking stupidity like “you gotta resign”. have a sense of community about you.

  16. This guy got some crazy mapping skills checked through his channel and he got some nice projects. Idlewood would look way better with maps like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uZqbTU7uj-o

  17. What do you think this is g, some public scandal? LMFAO Im not resigning, nor is any of my staff, like I said, if you think you can do it better, feel free to apply, I’ll accept your app right now, but as far as I can see, your just yapping and you probably don’t even know how to mod.

  21. For the love of God please contact Lisiu for mapping. Take notes or something from his work. https://youtube.com/@lisiu?si=muBtP7A9WKfmarGi All this half assed mapping but PD stations have a ton of custom buildings, mapping & models is ridiculous. I hate we are seeing these types of changes/additions as the server withers away because staff didn’t like how we addressed things. Its been nothing but low effort from the modding team, just look at the skins. ANYONE couldve made these.

  22. Regardless of what the mapping looks like, saying "yo that mapping looks shit bro XDDDD" isn't constructive at all, nor does it help anyone. These people are trying to help the server by making new areas to roleplay in for factions and you shit on their hard work? I'm all for constructive criticism, but one-liner insults is not constructive criticism. You have to understand that these people are not being paid, they're doing it out of love for the community, as is the same with the modding team. If you think that you can do better, and want to contribute, please by all means apply to the mapping team.

  23. I've been trying to get some mapping added around Jefferson since (checks logs) 2019. Since the re-opening I've been PMing back and forth with Caledonite and all I got was fuck all. Even got somebody to help us out, did parts of the mapping and when we needed help with a few things, nobody could be assed to give us a hand. And then, my ideas got shut down because they don't fit with the LS theme. Thank fuck the DayZ mapping fits. And its conveniently outside of our turf, great. After seeing the 656th precinct added and mapping done in bum fuck no where near the prison, I gave up hope. God forbid one of the largest faction on the server (that struggles with retaining players btw) and is still active gets some features added in to motivate people to play even more and just add something new to the scene. Or at least checking in with us "hey guys, check out his DayZ corner yall can do shoot outs in, ya like?". Had to see the abomination through leaked staff chats. Smh. Anyway I lost all hope atp. Edit: 38St has the same issues as well. And from what I can see, the mapping that 38St did themselves and asked to get added to the server, and the shit I just seen above, doesn't fucking match at all. But I guess communication is hard in 2024. Edit 2: On second glance, thank fuck for the hobo-land corner on east LS. I bet it will get the spot jumping. Why is the mapping team hell bent on creating mapping that benefits nobody and doesn't bother checking in with ACTIVE FACTIONS ON THE SERVER? Where RP is actually being done? Where the mapping can be used most? Fking hell.

  25. I have already made a video on why the state of SAMP roleplay and LSRP as a whole. Yet staff does not acknowledge much of what the community says, myself included. Ive had staff become angry all because I critiqued their mapping. Most if not all the mapping that has been implemented during the years have been overly buggy, horribly optimized and mostly DO NOT FIT with the San Andreas atmosphere/aesthetic in my opinion. Idlewood pizza stacks is cancer and they need to move mallrats somewhere else. The server has been the literal same and nothing positive has actually happened, just more deathmatch, hackers, & complaints about the new system thats been implemented. The server needs a entire revamp itself if they even wanted to see a crumb of NEW players and not just returning ones for nostalgic purposes. We all know staff is gonna downplay this comment but it needs a revamp and there gonna say “what u think we should do?” and ill say it again REVAMP THE SERVER ITS 2024 GOING ON 2025. There is no reason why the most popular rp server has the most outdated features and wonder why people crash out over mere boredom. - REVAMP Los Santos. Time after time I ask staff to reach out to a youtuber who goes by the name Lisiu, he is a talented modder and specializes in making lore friendly SA style mapping. Staff tried to tell me his mapping is only for MTA but it is not and has been debunked several times already. You give people something new to look at they may just hop on - FIX THE ECONOMY, money is practically useless on this server, nobody wants to spend half of their time grinding just to get a shitbox house for 20 million. Homes need to undergo a new system. We have already discussed how the auction system is abused regularly - ADD MORE SCRIPTS, stop being so prideful and add some rpg like elements to the server. nobody wants to /me out everything they roleplay and a big example of that is a GYM! Add some workout animations, actually give us the opportunity to workout n stuff without it actually contributing to stats, we just want more stuff to roleplay. Other honorable mentions are: - A minimalistic stats/inventory system - Updated phone system - Updated weapons system (meaning 1 or 2 mags per weapons, different damages etc.) - Actual staff members who consider instead of downplaying peoples suggestions, i see more people look for bad than good under these threads.

  26. Cool that's just how I feel about it, it looks dogshit, but what about the other two people who were criticizing your work in a nice way? Are they also a dick? You had Bandemic and another person whose messages have been deleted who gave you an entire paragraph on why the mapping looks dogshit: You sat there and proceeded to try and argue with a person from LA, born and raised in LA, hell his whole life he's been in LA about how the mapping actually looks like something from LA IRL. You sat there and called him emotional, that he's raging. I said it looks dogshit cause that's how I felt it looked like, I'm not sugarcoating anything and never will, too bad if you think my opinion is harsh. I could not care about 14.0 and what it brings, good for Cake and the illegal roleplay community, I'm over here bringing up the fact that some staff members do not take kindly to criticism and would rather respond in a hostile matter instead of actually tackling the issue of why certain people do not like it. Just cause I make a few good mods does that give me the authorization to argue with people about how my mapping looks perfect 24/7? No. I'm done posting on this thread as it seems like I hit the wrong spot for certain people here.
