  11. I'll just put down my two cents when it comes to talking about staff members not replying to you the way you feel is just, remember that as you are grown man(mostly likely), there's also a grown man on the other side of the screen reading your comment. Maybe if your comment isn't hostile and given properly, you can get a proper answer back without making your discussion partner feel threatened. If your comment is "fix this cause it looks like shit", you will get a shitty reply back, and that's common sense IRL. If you are an adult as you state, I don't know how you expect someone to be so professional and well mannered for something they are not getting paid for. Hell, sometimes even when you're at work and someone talks to you shitty, you might reply back aggressively. Imagine for a gaming community. Each day isn't the same, someone might have a hard day at work and come back to do your mapping or scripting so they chill and get away from things. Imagine if that person comes on the forums after their work is shown to the community and the feedback is like the ones I read before, to a mapping that it reads with RED LETTERS on top that "It isn't final work". You really need to take a chill and think that someone, whoever that was, who took time from their day to make it - probably isn't in the mood to read your negative feedback in the way you state it, which is 80% of the times impolite and very harsh. I don't say that for something specific said over here right now, but I saw again the "some staff take things defensively". There's two sides of the coin, you just gotta put your ego away. And I hold Staff accountable for that too (including myself).

  16. Greetings LS-RP! Over the past few days, I have been working to make LS-RP a better place for both staff and players. Firstly, I want to address some issues within the staff team, as they have been mentioned multiple times by both community members and staff. We have started to remove inactive members from the team. By the end of the month, all of our current "dead weight" will be removed. After receiving suggestions here and internally within the staff team, I’ve revised some of our policies. One of the revisions concerns the rule that admins can’t handle their own situations. While the policy wasn’t explicitly worded this way, it was intended to prevent conflicts of interest or bias when admins were involved in situations. Admins could handle these situations if no other admin was available, but this was often misunderstood and didn’t happen in practice. For the sake of both players and the admin team, this rule has been removed. The admin team is now expected to use common sense, along with the training they received during their Trainee Admin phase. Regarding policies, we’ve clarified our stance on "education over punishment." I believe this stance was misunderstood and taken too literally. Since the rule was introduced, there has been excessive leniency within the staff team when it comes to punishments. For example, you might have seen a level 30 player breaking basic rules and receiving multiple warnings instead of being properly punished. Our Admin Team has now been instructed on how to handle these situations, and you will see us becoming stricter with those who have previously abused this leniency. In the past week or so, we’ve also increased the number of active mappers and modders on the team. You may have seen some of their work on our Discord. For those who haven’t, I’ll display some examples below that will be included in our next update. The following is a WIP / Example of what the mapping team is up to, this is to do some long awaited map updates (THIS IS NOT FINAL AND CAN CHANGE) : Along with this, I’ve worked with IFT/IFTC to establish a direct line of communication between our teams. This is aimed at improving wait times, communication, and addressing the various concerns that have been brought up in this thread. A special shout-out to anyone who has previously had issues with requesting maps or receiving responses from the modding or mapping teams. If you have maps ready and just need them added, feel free to send them over to me, and we’ll verify and add them. One key point that has been raised is the new player experience. As @ROZE is our Head of Player Experience for SA-MP, I’ve asked him to investigate how leadership and development can improve this experience from the very beginning. We’ll have more insight and information on this soon. If you have any clear examples, please direct them to @ROZE. I know there are many more points in this thread, but I hope this provides the transparency the community has been seeking. I will be working through the thread and taking everything into consideration, addressing quick wins where possible. Larger and more complex issues may take time to resolve, but I appreciate that the time to act is now, and we are doing just that. I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas festivities and spending time with loved ones. That’s all from me for now. Peace & Love, Jack

  19. Regardless of what the mapping looks like, saying "yo that mapping looks shit bro XDDDD" isn't constructive at all, nor does it help anyone. These people are trying to help the server by making new areas to roleplay in for factions and you shit on their hard work? I'm all for constructive criticism, but one-liner insults is not constructive criticism. You have to understand that these people are not being paid, they're doing it out of love for the community, as is the same with the modding team. If you think that you can do better, and want to contribute, please by all means apply to the mapping team.
