  3. We don't want this to lean towards being a generic faction so we will have our own personal twist. If you've found the thread interesting and want to participate and join us on this journey then we expect you to know that you will have to develop a character and focus on bringing out the realism aspect in the environment. Any information regarding sending CK permission, the faction rules, backstory & more can be found inside the Discord channel which you can join by clicking the link below. DISCORD

  5. Paid & Laid INC. is a modernized twist on Black Organized Crime Roleplay. This concept aims to be ever-evolving and never stop in the comfort zones that other factions on the server have embraced, i.e. spamming the same screenshots of drug sales & posting up on a corner everyday. This group is an off-shoot of the Blanco—Longoria DTO and a part of an in-character Organized Crime Syndicate that has formed around Blanco—Longoria's operations, it's also one of the direct ways to get involved with the faction. Seeking us out ICly is the preferred method of joining, but due to timezones and other activity restrictions we encourage newcomers to give a heads-up through a forum PM to @Marco Polo.

  10. This is the realest shit I’ve read from an admin. This is exactly what’s wrong, and I don’t think it’s anything to do with the losing the ability to create RP. Personally, I think the new generation never HAD the ability to create such things. I think people have been spoilt with new generation stuff, Ragemp and the millions of features. All the little things that mean fuck all in RP but actually takeaway from the imagination. The already scripted actions when you do a certain command. There’s a feature on GTA world that when you take a drug, you get bombarded with 4 lines of how you’d feel etc. I remember back in the day having to research that shit, I had no clue what certain drugs made you feel. We had to make our own shit up and go from there. I don’t just mean that specific scenario. There’s too many scripts and people expect it from an old generation game, it’s crazy. RP is out of the window. Too many people care about customisation, how their character looks, like it’s fucking sims. They care too much about taking a loss, they don’t care much about development and growth. They want to spawn in somebody that they’ve seen on TV and not have the story behind them to get there. Nobody builds their own story anymore. And screens, what the fuck is all this about screens having to be absolutely perfect? So long as you can showcase it, who the fuck cares really?! The problem we have today is: Original players feel they’re owed this top OG status, because they’ve done their time in LS-RP. New players (SOME, don’t fucking cry) don't have a fucking clue about roleplay and what it takes. It’s meant to be a long road, not just something you can achieve over night. Momentarily, I’d put LSRP under the same category as NGRP when that was in its prime. That is diabolical. This is mainly down to the admin team unfortunately, they’re allowing too much and doing too little. It feels there is no stability, and people are sick to fuck of DM and watching people get away with it. Mass DM should be an instant ban. Poor portrayal should be admin jail. There should be major punishment for those that do not adhere to game rules. Game rules that need changing also. Not that I want to target people, but why is brown pride even still a faction? I’ve never seen such a shit show in one faction in all of my life. I’ll probs get bombarded with “you cant say that, you’re breaking rules, that’s offensive”. Personally, I don’t care, I think it’s what the world needs. Someone to say it exactly how it is. I don’t have a problem with them personally, but every single encounter has been very very questionable. Moving on, because that one topic could last weeks… There is no “vision for the future” if the staff cannot even open their eyes. Especially leading staff, such as Mmartin. If you want a community, and to carry on earning $$$? Start listening to YOUR community and make a change to the majority. Then there will be a future and not 84 players at peak time. When LSRP relaunched, it hit numbers and could still hit numbers. You need to get back to basics, turn LSRP back into a hardcore roleplay server and start listening to those who actually care. Stop thinking quantity, but quality. Then there will be server might actually start rebuilding again. It will only decline if it carries on going the way it is, now is the time to make a change.

  12. Original Post: https://forum.ls-rp.com/viewtopic.php?f=63&t=520370 Credits: Liquicity I want to make a public thread which can server as a guide on the subject. It's similar to an old Kipps or Delroy_Wilcox topic. I hope it is short enough. Credits: Douglas_Nyswonger, Jerry_Sforza, Liquicity. DICTION (FOR FOREIGN CHARACTERS) It also also applies to any other foreign character, such as Spanish, Hispanics, African Americans, Jamaicans, Asian and any other minority that derives from there. This chapter shall remind you of apostrophes: they're used to represent ownership of objects and a missing letter in words. They do not have to be mixed with slang. Words like wanna or gonna are to be written without them. CORRECT USE 'Ey, yo*, what up dog? 'S up wit' that shit, mofucka? 'Ight* nigga, cool shit though, know what I'm sayin'? INCORRECT USE A'yo, whaddup dawg? Sup widdhat shit, mofockah? "Ayo" is an acceptable substitute. Aight niggah, kool sheet dough, knawhatimsayin? "A'ight" is an acceptable substitute. Using more than a few worldwide common foreign words is also wrong. Ese, esa, pinche, cholo, chola, konichwa, ciao are, per example, allowed. This applies to any other foreign language. Mainly, common forms of greeting, thanking, saying good bye and baseline insults are accepted. Anything else spoken in a foreign language shall be done through "(<insert language>) phrase in English" — "(Spanish) So, I met this guy. We're set now, bro. He'll bring that shit tonight." ACCENT Accent, way of pronunciation particular to a speaker or group of speakers, usually related to those of other nationality or ethnicity when they try to talk in English. LSRP players tend to make them up in front of their line while using correct grammar, do the same thing and use the specific language or avoid to put it at all. CORRECT USE * Liquicity talks with a <insert accent>. (/me) * Liquicity talks with a British accent. Use the said language directly and let the reader understand the accent or not. Ray Ferrante shouts: MA! WHA'S FO DINNA?! Ramon Trejo says: Ey, foo'. You from the valle? Treshawn Garnett says: I ain't got no bad blood wit' no mofucker out hea. INCORRECT USE Liquicity says: [British Accent] Hey. Liquicity says: [British Accent] Hey, mate. Liquicity says: (British Accent) Hey. ELLIPSIS The correct form of ellipsis is three dots (…), other variations you see people using are mostly wrong. Two dot ellipsis (..) is wrong use, and isn't a thing. CORRECT USE Pecker Wood says: I seem to remember... INCORRECT USE Pecker Wood says: I seem to remember.. Pecker Wood says: I seem to remember.......... DASH Players on LSRP sometimes use the dash in text, to show that their character has been interrupted, or maybe got tangled in his own speech. In such situations, it's usually when people make common mistakes. A dash and ellipsis (-...) combination is not a thing, and it's completely wrong. CORRECT USE Pecker Wood says: What ab— Pecker Wood says: What ab-- Pecker Wood says: What about-- INCORRECT USE Pecker Wood says: What ab-... Pecker Wood says: What ab...- Pecker Wood says: What ab-.- APOSTROPHES Players on LSRP typically use apostrophes when they want to show that the word they pronounce has a missing letter. The wrong use of apostrophes comes when people try to combine them with slang. Full words like gonna or wanna don't need an apostrophe. CORRECT USE Pecker Wood says: He was gonna help me, but I saw him runnin' away. Pecker Wood says: Yo! Why are you walkin' alone, homie? Get in my car. INCORRECT USE Pecker Wood says: He was gonna' help me, but I saw him runnin' away. Pecker Wood says: Yo'! Why are you walkin' alone, homie'? Get in my car. EMOTES Emotes are used to perform actions with your character. It shows other people what you are doing. Players make the mistake of sometimes trying to tell their story through them, which incites metagame. CORRECT USE * Pecker Wood rocks back and forth on the chair. His hands can't stop shaking. Skin Head says: What's wrong? INCORRECT USE * Pecker Wood is terrified after the recent murder he was forced to commit by his friends. * Pecker Wood is a known gangster in Verona Beach. SEMICOLONS The semicolon or semi-colon (;) is a punctuation mark that separates major sentence elements. CORRECT USE Omega five to all units. We have a BOLO on a black male; he wears a white shirt. I saw Elora Garner; she's scary as fuck. INCORRECT USE Omega five to all units; We have a BOLO on an IC 2 male. (Never capitalize the letter after a semicolon.) Omega five to all units; we have a BOLO on an IC 2 male. (Those two statements aren't to be connected.) * Raymond Gallo seems young; he's tall. (Semicolons are only to connect two clauses in dialogues. anything else shall be written with full stop.) I saw Roxanne; but she isn't wearing the earrings I bought her. (Semicolons are never used before conjunctions. And, but, nor, or, for, so and yet, etc.)
