  1. Evening LS-RP. There has been a lot of controversial comments with the economy and we want to address that as soon as possible and get your guys opinions, and votes rather than us making an in house decision and then us making the wrong decision. Point A - Reducing Tapering. So, we could potentially lower the tapering from eight hours down to four hours meaning that your income in eight hours effectively doubles but we will be looking at all the payments to try and reduce them slightly to come in line with what we have at the moment. Point B - Remove Tapering. We completely remove tapering, but you still get the same amount of pay within the eight hour cycle so for example if you are being paid $1,000 per a eight hour cycle your pay hourly would then be reduced to come in line with what you would be earning within the eight hour period. For example $125.00 If you could leave your vote. And we can come to a conclusion based on your recommendations and what you would like to see from us.

  3. Hi everyone, We know it may have seemed a little quiet the last week or so, but rest assured, there are many big development updates on the way. With a 7-strong team of developers (with more incoming), we're now able to focus on a range of features all at once. As they're all fairly sizeable and potentially complex features however, they're taking some time to complete. Even so, we'd like to give you an idea of what you can expect to see in the coming weeks. Major Features Pawnshop and Burglary - Matical is working on this and there have been many discussions on how we can create an economy for stolen goods, whilst still entertaining a fair element of risk. Naturally, this is also going to give our law enforcement agencies something else to keep an eye out for. Marijuana Growing - Giampy is working on this, and we know it's been a requested feature for some time. Aside from overhauling drugs and their effects, we want to ensure that different elements of the 'supply chain' for narcotics isn't just limited or managed by the Darknet feature. Vehicle Modding - java has been working on this, and has already made considerable progress. Soon you'll be able to change the attributes of vehicles, both physically and in terms of performance. Keep an eye on the snippets channel on Discord for the latest. Graffiti - Imperium is working on this, allowing gangs to tag up neighbourhoods and bring a bit of creativity to the server. Blackjack (and more updates to gambling) - Mmartin is working on this. As you may have seen in the past week, we already have the server's first casino opening, and we'll be building on the gambling scripts to allow for further roleplay in this area. Other Updates Drug Effects - as mentioned above, drugs will start to have an effect on gameplay, which should affect the supply and demand cycle for narcotics. Hand pointing - as mentioned, and the sneak peaks that you have seen we are going to be having hand pointing on the server very soon! Phone animations - various actions on phones will soon come with animations associated with them. Vehicle towing - Players are constantly reporting that their vehicle is missing, so we're adapting and adding a simple vehicle towing solution. Another big update we'll be bringing in to the UCP will be the ability to vote on which upcoming features you'd like to see implemented as a priority. We're committed to both ensuring transparency and giving you, the players, the chance to influence what we do next. As with all of our development work, the actual implementation date is dependent on dev availability and testing - we'd rather avoid releasing features unless we're pretty confident that all bugs have been squished. We will however do our best to let you know where things are up to regularly. On that note, you can also expect to see further updates from myself and the various sub-teams on what activities they'll be doing each month.   4. Just to answer a few questions. There is currently plans for a roleplay hub - which is going to be located in Mirror Park. Reason behind the delays is because it's actively being furnished right now with the different businesses which will be used as the roleplay hub. There's plans for illegal street factions such as gangs to acquire 24/7's. tobacco stores and electronic stores to hopefully help with their roleplay so it doesn't seem as "dry" when they're roleplaying around their blocks. Moving onto the entrance fees. I completely agree, that they can be abused and they are not the best option that we have right now. As there are many flaws to the current way we are working. I have made up a potential feature where we are going to implement so players earn money while working in the company via start shift, so then the entrance fees cannot be abused. As I completely agree, right now they can be abused. More information on this will come to light when it's being developed but I have already written everything up for the developers. Features - you're all wondering what's going on. I will be releasing something shortly just to keep you guys updated on what's actually going on development wise as there's a lot of features under development at the moment but because they're classed as major features - there's a lot more to do with these features. But I've got something written up to try and give you all an update on what we are currently working on.

I'm mainly thinking a hub that's going to attract roleplay for factions and civilian roleplay, something along the lines of a library, there's a burgershot sorta joint that we could have up there. Clothing shop, internet cafe's etc. Mainly some NPC sort of businesses that don't require players to open it, but something that will open up roleplay for players. But there's also a few player owned companies in Mirror Park - so would definitely help to boost the roleplay around the area.
  8. So player owned businesses don't get hurt, how about we have businesses such as libraries, internet cafe's etc that don't require any sort of staffing inside them. They're just there, for roleplay?

  10. What’s everybody’s thoughts on Mirror Park? Getting a load of businesses that are owned by the company team and can be a sort of hub for players.

This was my fault, my mindset behind it was to make cypress logistics earn less money so then people are more forced into the ideal world of working for player owned trucking companies to provide more roleplay, rather than the typical scripted job element I didn't think of the implications it had towards the other community members. It was then reverted. Hold my hands up to that.

The main reason why I did not want to leave the businesses leasing open germanely was mainly down to the fact that I wanted to have players have the options of working for these businesses and becoming managers and employees, that's why I closed them down to try and get people to actually roleplay with businesses and getting businesses. But I'll see what I can do about keeping them up all the time.
  18. Hi there, Firstly let me introduce myself. So I'm currently running the Company Team alongside some other capable members within the staff team and hoping to make it what it is today. We have had countless suggestions since launching and each suggestion that has been presented to us we have tried to implement. I know a lot of you have had some doubts that there's no businesses open this sort of thing, but we're trying our best to accommodate this and the main reason for the active businesses being closed before-hand was to work out who was active and who wasn't so I could single them out and get rid of the in-active which has been done already hence the applications being open. Before responding to the thread - if you check the Active Company Scheme and the Passive Roleplay scheme that's currently in place to help out the company owners - and employees. We would like to get some feedback, and what we can do to improve the company team overall as the community's voice is important, and we care and want to take any feedback, and try get it implemented to benefit LS-RP.

Active business applications more or less will be opening tomorrow - we understand the shortage of the businesses at the moment but we’ve been working behind the schemes to get things running to help support these businesses and we’ve been working on removing the inactive lot to being in a fresh set of businesses. So keep your eyes peeled 😊
