That's going to lead to more OOC disputes when people are IG, and the person who wrote the ticket won't be able to give their side, potentially.

The indefinite seizure Tungsten mentioned would be a permanent impound, essentially. But without script support it'd require Senior Admin+ I think to park it somewhere - maybe an underground parking lot can be set to a vw and a faction prop so nobody can access the garage and the vehicles are kept there. So the owner can't just go take it out of impound or something

The stricter penalties for poor driving need to be across the board. That includes those in legal factions who drive recklessly because who's going to pull them over? As far as vehicle seizures, peep the penal code - you can impound if they're used in certain crimes. As for people doing /me's of shooting to get finished off, this was still an issue at the start of 2020 on SAMP when I was an admin. Death bills are not the answer. Those were annoying on SAMP when we had more money, losing out on money because someone shot you for something that may not be your fault isn't a good answer.

You can already impound a vehicle that's used in a crime. Judges can double the time if it's repeat offenses. As far as permanent seizure, that's something leads would have to approve. But we did pass an act for that on SAMP.

Nobody is asking for an essay. Those you ticket, just like the ones you arrest, have a right to dispute the charges placed against them. If your char refuses to show up to court time and time again, that's your problem, not the courts or the players you ticket. It's not an essay, it's a brief explanation and any evidence you have to give your case.

Problem is there's nothing on the ticket format for anyone to add dashcam footage. So you'd have to wait on the ticketing person (PD/SD or in cases of parking tickets, city parking) to reply with the dashcam, and if it's not an actual video, then there's no real easy way to settle disputes on it. Doing it on the forum will be quickest and easiest way to resolve for all parties. Person posts a simple format (keyword - simple as to not overwhelm people or they won't do it) then once accepted the ticketing person is notified and has 24/48 hours to respond.

Traffic court is for tickets, no prosecution needed. DUI would require a prosecutor, thus would not be in traffic court

I inquired to courts about the possibility of traffic court and was asked to gather data on if people would be interested. There is a forum section for it - https://community.ls-rp.com/forums/forum/284-traffic-division/ My idea when I was still running courts was: Person issued ticket Person can choose to go to court If person goes to court, they file the paperwork to dispute the charge Case accepted Person who issued the ticket (Cop or Parking Enforcement) called to testify their side incl. any evidence Person issued ticket gives their side incl. any evidence Judge concludes

If someone does this, I'd encourage those affected to report it to LFM as that's a violation of legal faction rules.

If I'm out and about? Generally fruity drinks by default - Hurricane , Liquid Marijuana, etc. When I went out on Thursdays with friends a bit back to the same local bar, I'd order whatever fruity drink the bartender wanted to make. I like browsing restaurant drink menus too though. Seeing what sounds good to try. If I'm at home I keep it simple... If I want wine I go for Stella Rosa Blueberry or Oliver Peach Pie wine. I wanted to give some transparency into what is going on with the Courts faction. I have recently taken over as Chief Justice, as we had a vacancy and I have run it before on SAMP. We are naturally a very small faction numbers wise, but can play a role for the legal side for those that choose to pursue it. We would love to answer any questions and get some feedback from the community on what you want to see, so we can try to work what we can. Some info: - We currently have 9 people in the role of Judge. This includes an alt each from the highest ranks (myself as Rank 1 and Kotwica as Rank 2) - We just recently appointed a District Attorney and a Chief Deputy District Attorney - We opened up applications for the Public Defender's Office & allowing those applying to test for the State Bar license during the application process - We handle the warrants for PD/SD on our forum (on SAMP we had to go to each forum to do warrants) We are working on furnishing our Courthouse,, which we will share the 'HOJ' building with LSSD. That building will host the Courts & Necessary rooms for it as well as the SD parts that are using it. We are also working on furnishing the 'Davis City Hall' into a building which will host our offices for the Public Defenders and DA's offices (on separate floors). I'm planning to post an article IC when those buildings' exterior mapping gets done so we can launch the names officially.
