Graffiti is being implemented iirc and will be updated in the next update. A social media can definitely help. I think there was some incident where the developers who made it leaked/stalked OOC females using the data they collected due to which ls-rp management isn't accepting any 3rd party devs anymore to do similar things. Would be something worth considering once the QoL fixes are in (such as a more usable phone). I logged in early today to the said timezone and I see the issue, there's nothing to do. Let me know if you guys wanna help out with creating the said hub for that timezone. Also @Gazurais also working on something similar if you want to help out. Yes and no. There isn't an over abundance of bar. The bars that are open regularly are Pitstop, Hangman's pub, Tavern, recently Corner. That's it. Where are you going to earn the money to rotate them if they are not going to come from the business? Without businesses, we will be reverting back to grinding to earn money to afford a gun where now you can simply RP a waiter or something and earn the money while having fun. The entry fee has been revolutionary in that aspect, it has stopped the server from being grindy and become RP focused. Also, I've never seen someone "simply sitting" to earn money. They have been RPing earing the money and have been justly rewarded. Having said that, what I will agree with is that the entry fees need to be re-looked into it. People are being paid way too much and it's the sole reason for fucking up the economy already.

No, it's more that there's a lack of people to furnish it. Natasha Valentine is the only person who's RPing an interior designer and mapping team is dead. Unless you have OOC friends who are good at it and are will to help you out (or if you're good at it) you're fucked.

Greetings; Thanks to the efforts from staff and players alike, the server population has seen a slight increase in the past 2-3 weeks, from peaking at 20-25 players to peaking at 95 players. Recently, it has come down to 60-70 players. At this moment, I believe that we have pretty much everything we "need" script wisely to setup our characters without really grinding for anything. So, this thread is more of a player support thread where we will try to help each other out with the character setup without it being a chore and come up with alternative suggestions/out-of-the-box suggestions to make this game more enjoyable to each other. PS: This is not a thread to request for script updates or an analysis thread on "what went wrong" but a thread of "what we can do with what we've got". PPS: I am a snitch. Any attempts to derail the topic or not sticking to the topic is going to be reported to staff. In order to make it easier for all of us, please use the following format to describe your OOC issue that's stopping you from logging in/stopping you from doing what you want ICly. What type of RP are you doing? - <Answer here> What have you tried so far? - <Answer here> What do you think is the solution for the problem? - <Answer here> What do you think is stopping you from arriving to the solution? - <Answer here>

Greetings, the title is a clickbait as there's no "wrong" way of playing the game as long as you're abiding by the server rules. I am a resident mall-rat erp'r so I feel that I'm the best person to put out a mini-guide on how to make your stay a comfortable and fun one in the initial days. STEP 0: Create an account in ls-rp's UCP (https://ucp.ls-rp.com/) Complete the quiz. Some of the questions are tricky, so refer to the rules thoroughly whilst completing the quiz (http://wiki.ls-rp.com.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com/) Once done, create a character (do NOT use ChatGPT!) and wait for it to get accepted (which is usually not super long) STEP 1: GETTING INTO THE SERVER Once your character is accepted, it's time to fire up your ragemp 🔥 Make sure your CEF acceleration is turned off, if it isn't, turn it off as ls-rp server at the moment doesn't allow it.If you don't know how to do it then follow this Cr: @kaibr Login to server.ls-rp.com with default port (22005) and you should be able to login. Once logged in, you will be loaded into a character creation suite. Tune up your character to how you envision him/her/them (It's ok if you mess up, you can always reset character appearance in the UCP). STEP 2: SELECTING SPAWN LS-RP provides several spawn points and you can chose one based on the area your character is most likely to reside in BUT -- Chose a spawn point with the letter "R" in. This letter stands for "rented vehicles" and will save you the trouble of running (secretly bunny hopping) around until you can afford a car If you have already selected one somewhere else, no worries, you can always change the spawn point using /spawn STEP 3.1: NAVIGATING/TRAVELLING LOS SANTOS Once you have spawned, you are going to need a vehicle to move around. The map is HUGE and you won't be able to walk/run everywhere. The 500$ you received will not be enough to buy a car, HOWEVER, it's more than enough to rent one! Go to one of the blips marked in "R" (as shown above) and you should find rentable cars ranging from 20$ per hour to 30$ per hour. You can rent these using the command /rent. STEP 3.2: CLOTHES This is just a game but it's mostly filled with elitist cunts like me. So, I highly recommend styling your character with the clothes that would make sense for that character before jumping right into the roleplay-ing part. Clothes can be found in the clothing stores (duh!). They are highlighted in the map with the T-Shirt icons. (A couple have been marked below for example) STEP 4: GRINDING (MAKING MONEY - THE WRONG WAY) Alright, let's talk about the elephant in the room. The main reason why you clicked on this thread. MAKING MONEY. There are several scripted jobs available that allows you to make money. They are; - Fishing - Trucking - Trashman - Lawn mower - Mechanic [Not 100% scripted. It has script support but the amount you earn highly depends on how many clients you get] - Taxi [Not 100% scripted. It has script support but the amount you earn highly depends on how many clients you get] But ls-rp is designed in a way that your character makes more money, the more you RP. The amount you earn from these jobs keep decreasing the more you do it. So, I highly recommend NOT to fall into the trap of "grinding" unless you genuinely enjoy these scripted jobs or if it suites your character. The scripted jobs can be found in the locations marked in the map below STEP 4.2: NON-SCRIPTED JOBS/RP JOBS(MAKING MONEY - THE RIGHT WAY) LS-RP has tons of player owned business and pretty much every business is hiring ALL the time. The way the company system is designed, it will reward players for RPing in their business. Simply head to one of the businesses that is open and ICly ask around if they have any job vacancies. I know that this sounds "obvious" but it's baffling how very little people do this. 9/10 they will be looking for some extra help. Currently, the characters will be paid a minimum of 400$ per hour (which is A LOT in ls-rp's economy) for simply playing your character. Within a week, you should be realistically be able to make 4-5k provided you RP around 1-2 hours a day. Combine this with "Step 4 .1" and you should be able make more than enough money to RP your character and their motives (unless if you're RPing an extremely rich persn) without much frustration/grinding. For IC jobs, you will see postings here but the better way, as mentioned above, is to simply walk inside an open business or ask for it. You will also often see advertisements IG where players will be advertising for job openings. If a business is "open", you can find it easily on the map as they will be highlighted in green colour. BONUS INFO: This is a bit off topic but something that's better if you do it as soon as possible, that would be to get a "drivers license". You can get it in the DMV after passing a scripted exam.

This would be great provided businesses aren't forced to be moved to the new location but are allowed to open a new "franchise" in the new location. Most of the established businesses are faction based so it won't make sense for them to move out of their turf and the remaining few will end up losing their "personality" by becoming dime a dozen when clubbed together with other businesses. Another thing to consider here is, one of the major issues with the businesses is staffing, so by doing this you are also risking giving more power to the established businesses to monopolize on the server while the newer business might get crushed further as they are unable to compete when placed nearby. RP hubs are never made popular by the new players, new players will be grinding to make money or raise their level so that they can carry weapons or throw /ad etc. The RP hubs are popular among characters that are decently established but belong to not-so well established factions or among solo-players (who are usually mocked by being called "mall-rats"). I disagree with Pit Stop or any business for that matter not being welcoming to new players/being closed community, the way business/company system is built, it promotes RP'rs that run these businesses to go out of their way to help make the place better for other players including new players. Also, "... attracts "rich" players with sporty cars" sounds like mall parking lot to me (one of the RP hub mentioned which is supposed to cater to the new players). Not gonna lie, this is the first time I've seen somebody talk about mall or idlestacks positively since the server started.
-
It won't work. Idlestacks or the mall happened naturally without OOC interference. That's why it worked. We can force an OOC solution by scripting w.e but the interest will die out 10 minutes of exploring the place. We really need to stop trying to figure out OOC solutions for IC problems. Pit Stop has already become a hangout place ICly irrespective of whatever anybody's opinion on it is. Crow's Hall is doing a pretty good job with it too. Let's be honest now, neither Idlestacks nor the mall had good reputation. Everybody complained that it's where "DM'rs" or "Mallrats" hung around back when it existed. I don't understand why we're glorifying it now as some kind of a premier RP hub. We need more active factions and the hubs will be formed automatically when factions become active. Kind of like Davis before all gang RP'rs left the server.

@The Community - Be the change you want to see
Deceive replied to SCANDALOUZ's topic in General Discussions Archive
I didn't real the full thing but I believe I got the gist of it. This is something I've been yapping about since day 1 and honestly, this community is one of the most entitled community I've ever witnessed. (Partly the blame falls on staff for succumbing to the community and being submissive for the community's tantrums. Being open to feedback is not the same as bending over to the community. But that's a whole different issue). Anyways, the game is fun y'all. Login and give it another shot. -

Consequences & The Feel of Playing 2 Different Gamemodes at Once
Deceive replied to SCANDALOUZ's topic in General Discussions
This is a tough one and I can only give my POV as someone who RPs away from guns and drugs. Would be great if someone can shed insight on the thought process from gang RP'rs perspective so that we can have a wholistic view. -
Congrats on the promotions guys. Wonderful job.

The commitment and disciplined maintained by the staff and especially the dev team ever since the server released has been exemplary. Congratulations on the release and thanks for your work.

Hey! I remember you. You ran the mall for awhile, right? I'd check with Company team first on the possibility of making a passive company. Once done, also start hiring for "part time farmers" asap as hiring people have been a pain. But yeah, after that I'll look into the free vehicles passive company offers and buy the ones needed along with setting up the "farm". I think I'd like to open a "weekly" market, throw some /cad's to get people to come and buy the fruits/vegetables. Another viable thing is contact restaurants/bars/eateries to set up deals and provide them with "fresh organic fruits/vegetables" for xx amount. There's also the route of taking illegal way where you plant marijuana in a small part of the "farm".

Realistic Roleplay, IC Consequences & Improving RP Quality
Deceive replied to SCANDALOUZ's topic in General Discussions
I agree that IC actions need IC consequence but disagree with the way this suggestion is trying to achieve. If the crime rate is more in a certain area, increase PD/SD forces there. Increase jail times there etc. The action needs to happen ICly through IC means. -

Hello, Deceive here! I played from 2009-2013 and then a bit in between 2014-2015.
