  1. happy new year gang 💜
  2. We're aware it's down, it'll be brought up again at some point soon - is there something in particular you need off it?
  3. As much as I've appreciated the feedback we're going to be closing this thread as of today, and you may believe that you have not been heard - or that you've more to talk about but any further threads will just be locked moving forward. A few of you have sent concrete ideas for change to my forum PMs, and I appreciate it - and welcome others to do so too. This doesn't mean start PMing me with shit like "FIX THE SERVER" but if you've actual pain-points that we can actually do something about, let me know. We've got a good list from what's been raised to date, but at this point we're going around in circles on these threads. You've had responses from Management and the development team, as it's been a matter of days since many of these issues have been raised - we have nothing concrete to show in order to address them, as they're generally much larger issues. I know that may make the words seem empty but just give us a chance. I understand that hackings an issue as it always has been, I will take steps to see what can be done with our anti-cheat or policies surrounding the "burden of proof" required to issue a hacking ban. This isn't a quick fix and I appreciate your patience while we look into it. Please be aware that we only recently made a change to the anti-cheat to address a certain method of exploiting weapons on SAMP. We have and are capable of making changes to identify certain hacks/exploits. The community likely won't be updated regarding any future anti-cheat changes as that defeats the whole purpose, but I'm sure we'll let you know once we've addressed it. I keep seeing people mentioning 'voting' for LSRP:V to go ahead or not. I want to be very clear, that shipped sailed long ago. The relaunch of V is long past the point of voting for it. danut and n0de have been working on it tirelessly since it closed. RAGE is very much happening and I understand that brings concerns for SAMP - but as it stands, SAMP's closure isn't something on our minds at this very moment. I can't promise you if things don't improve, that SAMP will remain open with a skeleton crew of players but that's also where the community comes in. I've seen so much passion for SAMP in the various threads, however a large portion of these voices are now banned or have left for other servers. If you want SAMP to continue to be supported, we need to make sure it has players. While voting on V isn't something we'll be entertaining, having a much more open means of communication with the community is something I'm aware we need to work on. Hopefully once we get back to business after the holidays, you'll see the results of these efforts. The holiday season is well underway for everyone on the lead/management team, and this kind of discourse is the last thing we wanted to see. For those excited for RAGE, there will be promotional material coming very very soon. RAGE insiders are aware of this and have been working with the Marketing team to come up with promotional material, and the quality from what I've seen is absolutely fantastic (s/o Conor). This is stuff we've been working towards long before any of these threads ever went up, and unfortunately any actions we now take, I feel will seem like a response to this discourse. For those that don't want RAGE, you're probably not going to like seeing the stuff we've been working on recently and that's fine. We will be opening roles such as the Illegal Faction Team after the holidays, and currently Illegal Faction Council LOI's are open internally. I encourage anyone (from the illegal roleplay side) to get involved in IFT as they have a direct line of communication with management and the development team, and can influence the direction of future updates both script-wise and in terms of rules/ROE. Please do us a favour and not get your pitch-forks out as I lock this thread. It's run it's course. Let us prove to you in the coming days/weeks that we're listening. Have a very happy holiday, we'll see you in the new year. 🎄
  4. I'd like to chime in regarding the upset at Martin's activity, mostly inspired by @Clack Currently, Martin is abroad hopefully enjoying himself a lot more than I am. We're unlikely to have a response from him at the moment given the fact that he's on holiday and not expected to be available for the duration. Hopefully a little clarity and transparency on the Management structure could help: Martin promoted myself and bobster to Management months ago now, following a discussion where we agreed that the bottleneck to a lot of things was waiting on Management approval. Martin gave me the role of Head of Operations - and bobster was promoted to Head of Staff. I've done my best in the past few months to reduce these waiting times, and ensure that nothing much is sat around waiting for Management's green light. Head of Operations was Martin's role. He is now Head of Development and is generally not involved in the day-to-day running of the community anymore. When he held this role, and the community were upset with his activity (or perceived lack of), I could understand. Martin is still involved, and when changes are made - his input is invaluable but ultimately, the server's management is 10x more active than before in recent months, we haven't gone anywhere. All of this is 100% intentional as Martin's main focus can now be on what he enjoys, which is development. I've seen some of the work he's done for RAGE in particular, and I'm so excited for the community to get their hands on it. I'll happily lecture Martin for not logging into the forums, but the management/leadership and development team generally converse outside of LSRP platforms altogether. Nobody has "run away with the donations" if that was the case, the server would not be online because nobody else is paying for it. This was something I originally noticed the few bad actors who some of you have let work you into an absolute tizzy, start by saying. The fact that the server has not once gone unpaid should do more than enough to dispel that conversation. I've seen people complain about management's activity and lack of approachability, but praise my activity, care and attention in the same breath. What is it you're looking for exactly from Management, or feel that you/the server or community are lacking?
  5. Part of what he said could be viewed as encouraging hacking, so it was hidden. One sentence regarding hacking was removed and the post restored. I've spoken to Kev directly about what exactly was removed, and he agreed that it may have come across incorrectly and we moved on. There was nothing removed about management, or his thoughts on the server/staff or management team.
  6. This faction aims to portray an authentic and respectful representation of the Irish, and Irish Traveller community and their illicit activities in America. Our focus is on cultural accuracy, character-driven storytelling, and realistic economic motivations rather than stereotypes. Our goal is to deliver believable, immersive roleplay that highlights the social and economic pressures shaping these live; without glorifying crime or misrepresenting the culture. If you'd like to get involved, please reach out to @Conor, @Sweet @Heliusor @husoparac11
  7. The Government of Ireland defines the Irish diaspora as all persons of Irish nationality who habitually reside outside the island of Ireland. This includes Irish citizens who have emigrated abroad and their children, who are Irish citizens by descent under Irish law. The Irish diaspora in America has profoundly shaped the cultural, social, and political landscape of the nation, with millions of Americans claiming Irish ancestry and celebrating their heritage. The Irish people were the first of many to immigrate to the U.S. in mass waves, many Irish fled their home country to escape unemployment and starvation during the Great Irish Famine. The richest of the Irish resettled in England, where their skilled work was greatly accepted, but lower class Irish and women could find little work in Western Europe, leading them to cross the Atlantic in search of greater financial opportunities. However, the usage of Irish diaspora is generally not limited by citizenship status, thus leading to an estimated (and fluctuating) membership of up to 80 million persons; the second and more emotive definition. The Irish Government acknowledged this interpretation although it did not acknowledge any legal obligations to persons in this larger diaspora, when Article 2 of the Constitution of Ireland was amended in 1998 to read "Furthermore, the Irish nation cherishes its special affinity with people of Irish ancestry living abroad who share its cultural identity and heritage." Irish Catholics were popular targets of stereotyping in the 19th century. According to historians, the media often stereotyped the Irish in America as being boss-controlled, violent both among themselves and others, voting illegally, prone to alcoholism and dependent on street gangs that were often violent or criminal. In the name of God and of the dead generations from which she receives her old tradition of nationhood, Ireland, through us, summons her children to her flag and strikes for her freedom.
  8. Welcome to the monthly Faction Newsletter. This is your monthly update on the latest developments within the faction scene. This newsletter is designed to provide transparency by sharing high-level insights from internal discussions, spotlighting a featured faction each month, and highlighting any groups reaching candidate or official status. Faction of the Month This month's Faction Spotlight is 59th & Harlow Bloods, a group that has demonstrated outstanding growth, creativity, and consistent impact across the illegal RP scene. From the outset, they’ve showcased a unique, story-driven approach to character development while maintaining strong standards of roleplay quality and OOC professionalism. The Illegal Faction Council would like to highlight Harlow's activity as a whole, they've shown an intense activity as of late and can be found at almost any time populating the streets of Idlewood. As always, we encourage anyone interested in getting involved with 59th & Harlow Bloods to reach out to their faction leader; @Robby-T The Harlow thread stands out as one of the few that captures both the day-to-day roleplay and a cohesive, evolving storyline. Their ability to balance grounded, passive roleplay with engaging schemes and rackets makes their faction feel more dynamic. If your faction would like to be considered for the next spotlight, continue pushing your creativity and standing out in meaningful ways. Key areas that can set your faction apart include strong character portrayal, showcasing unique media or roleplay, and maintaining a clean administrative record by following server rules. Keep in mind that receiving a Faction Spotlight also makes your faction eligible for perks and you can speak directly with the IFC to explore how they can support you in continuing your faction’s progression. We look forward to carrying on this tradition and recognizing another deserving faction in the coming month. Every faction has an opportunity to be recognized so keep building, innovating, and contributing to the community. Furnishing Competition Award Last month, we launched a furnishing competition to highlight creativity within the community, and we’re excited to announce the winners: 🥇 @Edrian 🥈 @husoparac11 🥉 @fruit IFC will be reaching out to each winner regarding their rewards and next steps. The Illegal Faction Team/Council have thoroughly enjoyed watching the progress, and voting for a winner - the unique designs and effort that went into each submission has been remarkable. So much so that in the Illegal Faction Team meeting, it was agreed that each submission will receive 300 credits as a token of appreciation for their participation. Internal Updates We’d also like to congratulate Black Organized Crime for being selected as an official faction candidate. The minute Black Organized Crime opened, we were receiving feedback regarding the quality of screenshots present on their thread. BOC not only show-case a high standard of roleplay, their screenshots are some of the most cinematic so far. We look forward to seeing their continued development and impact on the server. Their consistency, creativity, and strong presence make them a standout group with tremendous potential moving forward. IFT is currently open for recruitment, and we’re looking for active, dedicated, and experienced members to join the team. It is an ideal time to bring in individuals who want to contribute more to the illegal roleplay scene. As a member of the Illegal Faction Team, you’d be involved in voting on weapon, drug, and solo scheme applications, reviewing turf map submissions, handling faction reports, and providing meaningful feedback on server rules and upcoming development projects aimed at improving illegal roleplay. If you’re interested in helping shape the future of the server. If you would like more details, you can find additional information Illegal Faction Team - Letter of Interest. As a reminder, all the schemes are currently open as follows: Faction Drug Scheme — OPEN Faction Prison Scheme — CLOSED Strawmen Scheme — CLOSED Solo Scheme Drugs — OPEN Weapons — (Refer to Strawman Scheme) Melee — OPEN Scenario Scheme — OPEN Business Scheme — OPEN If you would like more details, you can find additional information SA-MP Illegal Available Schemes. More custom models are being added to the server for community use. Some items are currently delayed due to branded assets requiring adjustment, but we are actively working through these issues. As this progresses, we’ll continue rolling out additional custom mods and models to support a wider variety of roleplay opportunities. Changes to Official Faction Perks Official factions are expected to remain active and serve as leaders in providing roleplay to the community. If a faction is not consistently engaging in meaningful roleplay or contributing to the server’s environment, their official status may be revoked. IFC has begun a focused initiative to review overall faction activity and will issue strikes or take further action where necessary to maintain quality and accountability across the board. The warehouse supply has been reduced, and factions may have the opportunity to re-up based on community feedback and demonstrated need. Additionally, we’ve implemented a 50% reduction in firearms distributed to official factions. This decision was made for several reasons, most notably the amount of stockpiling occurring across the server including by players not actively roleplaying within factions. A significant portion of guns originating from official warehouses ended up in the hands of individuals using them for the wrong reasons. For context: Before the reduction, up to 2,600 guns per month could enter the economy. After the cut and warehouse adjustments, that number is now closer to 1,500. These changes aim to create a healthier, more balanced weapon economy and promote more meaningful, character-driven roleplay around supply, distribution, and conflict. If adjustments are needed over time, we’ll revisit based on faction engagement and feedback. Rage Updates Behind the scenes, there is still extensive development underway for the RAGE Multiplayer relaunch, with both developers and administrators working on backend to ensure a smooth reopening. While concerns around GTA: V continue to surface, we want to reassure everyone that the SA-MP community remains the primary focus of the Illegal Faction Team. Progress on V is ongoing in the background, and as soon as there are meaningful updates, the IFT will be notified. In the coming weeks, we expect to have more information to share and will keep the community updated accordingly. Ongoing Discussions and Upcoming Focus Areas We’d like to take a moment to share a brief overview of several internal discussions currently underway within the Illegal Faction Team. These highlights reflect key topics from our recent monthly meetings and areas we’re actively reviewing and improving. If there’s something you’d like to see added to future discussions, please reach out to @Scumpy, who will ensure your suggestions are included if they haven’t already been raised. For those who wish to connect directly with the team, our Illegal Faction Team Discord is open to the community. A ticket system is in place to allow you to reach out with any questions, feedback, or concerns. You can join here. Meeting Notes Recent faction status updates were reviewed, including new candidacy movements and posted threads. Development and mod-related updates were discussed, including minor delays and ongoing backend work to improve illegal roleplay features. Adjustments to faction systems such as warehouse supply and activity monitoring were outlined, along with clarifications on platform focus and upcoming initiatives tied to monthly spotlights.
  9. This thread is to showcase your factions roleplay, please keep it on topic from here on out. General topics for discussion are held elsewhere, and you're welcome to open a discussion there where IFC and any other parties can contribute.
  10. Congrats Warlocks, Verona & @Marat_Gusarov
  11. Faction of the Month This month's Faction Spotlight is Black Organized Crime, a group we’ve been watching since last month. From the start, they have delivered a distinct and refreshing take on illegal character development while maintaining consistently high standards of roleplay and OOC conduct. As always, we encourage anyone interested in getting involved with Black Organized Crime to reach out to their leadership team: @boris1, @sk8txrfu, @Gnarp, and @Iamkaciii. Tracing their roots back to 2024, the faction is steeped in rich lore that is a genuine pleasure to explore. Every storyline is crafted with remarkable attention to detail along with long-term development for character portrayals. The Black Organized Crime thread stands out as one of the few that captures both the day-to-day roleplay and a cohesive, evolving storyline. Their ability to balance grounded, passive roleplay with engaging schemes and rackets makes their faction feel more dynamic. Faction Mediation Team Introduced We’re pleased to share that a Faction Mediation Teams have been introduced to support healthy faction relations and oversee war term agreements across the community. The team is composed of experienced faction members who work together to promote fair play, resolve disputes, and maintain a balanced environment during conflicts. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to transparency and collaboration within the illegal roleplay scene. Rage Updates During our recent Illegal Faction Team monthly meeting, we took the opportunity to address the absence of defined procedures and policies in preparation for the upcoming relaunch of the RAGE Multiplayer server. One of the advantages of having such a dedicated and experienced team is the diversity of perspectives we receive from across the community. This feedback continues to guide our approach as we prepare for the future of both platforms. We recognize that discussions around RAGE Multiplayer may not appeal to everyone, and we want to reaffirm that SA-MP will remain the primary focus of the Illegal Faction Team for the foreseeable future. At the same time, we’re ensuring that when the RAGE server is ready, we are fully equipped and organized to support it. If you’re interested in contributing ideas or joining the conversation about the development of illegal roleplay on either platform, please reach out to the Illegal Faction Council to get involved. Internal Updates We’d like to congratulate the Marat Gusarov Brigade for officially reaching official faction status. Your dedication and creativity have truly stood out within the community.
