Think this thread has served it's purpose.

There was no one person responsible, and there were no server rules broken so no action was taken; it was simply unfortunate circumstances - however it is now subject to discussion with HOLF regarding how to prevent similar situations from occurring in future. For transparency purposes, without getting into it in detail, it was a series of unfortunate events that lead to multiple large-scale shootouts and arrests in the one factions turf within the space of 30 minutes. It was all completely IC, however it caused already PK'd-to-LEO players to be PK'd more than once in said timeframe. It wasn't ideal. @Jamalio "I do not understand how hard is it for Management to grasp what Sneaky said above?!" - The point sneak is making, is my point. It's not one player, its factions as a whole be it illegal or legal that have a toxic view towards one another, and OOC motivations behind their actions. It's hard to address an atmosphere as we have no rules against not passing a vibe check, and the answer isn't just banning anyone we don't like unfortunately. I'm leaving this post open at the request of a member of PD leadership who'd like to weigh in. It'll likely be closed after that. I'm removing the finger pointing, if you're comments not here - it's because you're finger-pointing with nothing of value.

I usually don't pass comment on these types of threads, but after removing a number of stupid comments - I guess I will. This thread will be likely locked soon, sooner if people can't hold a mature conversation; topics like this can never go long before devolving into finger pointing and stupid remarks by a few bad actors. We appreciate genuine feedback, be that positive or negative but we're not entertaining derailing/faction bashing. What I'd keep in mind, is that as a player you're not privy to the warnings people receive - or the notice that the staff team, or relevant faction leaders take to certain players. If there are issues with individuals, you need to report either in-game or over the forums or else we'll never know in order for any action to be taken - as n0de said. I can personally speak to how responsive the Head of Legal Factions (n0de) is in addressing concerns that the community have, and putting rules in place based on that feedback often to the dismay of the factions it applies to. Things like, restrictions on how both PD and SD use helicopters have recently been changed simply based on the communities feedback. Personally, I'm in PD (not very actively) as well as an official illegal faction and I see scenarios play out from both sides. Both sides have very valid complaints about one another which are extremely hard to address given that its not just one player, it's often an atmosphere fostered within a faction which is much harder to change. Recently I've seen an increase in illegal factions sitting in public with an arsenal of weaponry strapped to each one of their backs/stored on the floor nearby. Back in the day, I recall the exact same players/factions always putting their weapons up after being shot at/coming back from a faction attack etc. because they were aware that something may have happened to prompt an interaction from PD/SD and they don't want to be caught with a gun on them. This isn't the attitude players have anymore. There is no fear which is a massive part of why factions are struggling to slip under the radar with LEO factions and feel targeted. That being said, I have 100% witnessed PD/SD ruining illegal role-player's motivation to RP before my eyes too, and I do really empathise with anyone who feels they've been victim to this as it can be extremely demotivating. I'd like to reiterate that if you feel there's a rule or guidance that could be put in place to promote a healthier balance/relationship between illegal factions and PD/SD - we're happy to hear them but this thread isn't going to achieve that. Suggesting to close PD or SD simply isn't going to achieve anything constructive. The Illegal Faction Council/Team would also be happy to support you or your faction members in raising these concerns or ideas to the appropriate team/staff members.

Welcome to the monthly Faction Newsletter. This is your monthly update on the latest developments within the faction scene. This newsletter is designed to provide transparency by sharing high-level insights from internal discussions, spotlighting a featured faction each month, and highlighting any groups reaching candidate or official status. We’re excited to offer a closer look moving forward at the inner workings of the team and the ongoing progress of the illegal faction community. Stay tuned each month as we share updates, celebrate community achievements, and spotlight the factions shaping the future of the illegal roleplay scene. Introduction of Faction of the Month Through discussions between the Faction Team (FT) and Illegal Faction Councils (IFC), we have decided to introduce a Faction Spotlight on a monthly basis. Each month, IFC and FT members nominate and discuss standout factions during the last week of the month. From these nominations, tallies are gathered, the top four factions are identified, and a final vote determines the selected faction. There's a number of factors considered, not only the quality and appearance of each factions threads but most importantly, their impact and interactions with the community in-game. Earning the monthly spotlight provides more than recognition because it also comes with tangible benefits. Spotlighted factions may receive approval for larger-scale scenario schemes, gain access to faction complexes and businesses to further roleplay and become eligible to apply for drug schemes or other schemes offered by the Faction Team. This program is designed to reward not only official factions but also highlight the contributions of unofficial factions, who are an essential part of the community. We recognize that unofficial factions have not always received the credit they deserve, and this system is intended to address that gap. The Faction Spotlight is an opportunity to showcase creativity, collaboration, and community impact, and we encourage all factions to push the quality of their factions to be considered for this spotlight. Faction of the Month We would like to extend our congratulations to Verona Shoreline Crip, the recipient of this month’s Faction Spotlight. This faction's roster is filled with both veteran and newer community members, whose leadership have once again continued to inspire and entertain others with their gritty depiction of street-gang roleplay. The Illegal Faction Team & Council have been thrilled to watch this faction develop since they opened in June of this year and hope to see much more from them in the coming months. We encourage anyone wishing to get involved with Verona Shoreline Crip, to reach out to VSC's leadership: @Original Cranky., @AP. or @Roderick_Mays Since they opened their doors in June, Verona Shoreline Crip, has delivered outstanding roleplay and made a consistently positive contribution to the server. Notable highlights from their thread include their in-depth and realistic character development and high quality screenshot cinematics, which truly deserves recognition this month. We intend on rewarding factions monthly through this newsletter, with an incentive of their choosing, Verona Shoreline Crip's leadership will be contacted or can feel free to reach out to the Illegal Faction Council to discuss their chosen in-game incentive. If your faction would like to be considered for the next spotlight, continue pushing your creativity and standing out in meaningful ways. Key areas that can set your faction apart include strong character portrayal, showcasing unique media or roleplay, and maintaining a clean administrative record by following server rules. We look forward to carrying on this tradition and recognizing another deserving faction in the coming month. Every faction has an opportunity to be recognized so keep building, innovating, and contributing to the community. Internal Updates We would like to welcome the new community members who were recently inducted into the Faction Team. For those inducted, their names are mentioned in the section below. Moving on, we would also like to once again congratulate 59th & Harlow Bloods for reaching official status, which was previously shared in the Community Update Newsletter. As a reminder, all the schemes are currently open as follows: Faction Drug Scheme — OPEN Faction Prison Scheme — CLOSED Strawmen Scheme — OPEN Solo Scheme Drugs — OPEN Weapons — (Refer to Strawman Scheme) Melee — OPEN Scenario Scheme — OPEN Business Scheme — OPEN If you would like more details, you can find additional information SA-MP Illegal Available Schemes. There have also been recent updates to the Rules of Engagement (ROE), which you can review [here]. Additionally, the Faction Team will be making some changes to the MyFace rules in the upcoming weeks. We would also like to give a special shoutout to faction-owned businesses that continue to contribute positively to the community and remain consistently active. This month shoutout goes to Rirakuzeshon, operated by members of The Santa Maria Collective. We believe their efforts in creating an authentic atmosphere are worth recognizing, and we will continue highlighting such businesses moving forward. Lastly, there are several internal discussions underway that we’d like to share with the community at a high level. These highlights provide a glimpse into the topics covered during our monthly meetings and areas currently being reviewed by the team. If there is something you’d like to see added to future discussions, please reach out to @Scumpy, who will ensure its included if not already raised within our monthly meetings. If you'd like to join our discord, where a ticket system is in place allowing you to directly contact the Illegal Faction Team with questions or concerns, you can join here. Chopshop System There is currently ongoing internal review of the structure and how the current system is set up. The goal is to prevent abuse and make sure that the new structure covers a better reward structure but also take other things into consideration such as Legal Factions availability. Drug Related Updates There are discussions happening around the drug system and how we can improve it. The goal is to explore more waves of refining how drugs work along with the effect. The ideas are still on-going, but it is still worth mentioning for the community to get a general idea of things being discussed. Other Topics Review of fraud-related features and proper use of existing features. Discussions around rules of engagement and defensive roleplay standards. Evaluation of schemes, including processes and addressing inactive holders. Drug scheme limits rules changed and adjusted for Drug Scheme holders. Faction Team Members Updates Congratulations to our newly illegal faction team members ... Pecula GhostOfProtocol Voronov HoodPope Roderick_Mays Welcome back to our returning illegal faction team members ... Scumpy * S/O to @Scumpy for producing this month's newsletter.
