  2. Since our Content Creator Program began in June, we've had some of LS-RP's best Content Creators sign up and get to work with some great videos! We have been so impressed by our Content Creator community, and I personally didn't even realise how big it actually was! As promised, here is our first Content Creator Spotlight, showcasing some of our favourite community content created over the past couple of months (Spoiler: it's not full of DM videos!). I am also pleased to announce that after careful deliberation, and feedback from other community members, we have pushed 6 content creators up to Level 2 Creators. This allows these creators to take advantage of some additional perks, including being able to submit content to be posted to the official LS-RP socials, and make unique requests in order to help them create better content. Congratulations to the following creators: New Level 2 Creators: @Angellify @mourn @Ralau @Thabiso_UNPLUGGED @BigTank @Hrovk1L If you are interested in joining the program yourself, please shoot me a PM. 6. Howdy gamers, Today marks an incredible milestone for our community - Los Santos Roleplay is now eighteen years old. That’s old enough to vote, drive, purchase alcohol in most of the world (shout-out US of A), or take out a an unfavorable loan to finance a vehicle that’ll drop in value by half the moment you drive it off the lot. Yay! Around this time last year, when LS-RP was turning 17, we re-released our San Andreas Multiplayer server. Although it’s been a whirlwind of a year since then, I must say re-launching SA-MP has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made - which is something to say, considering I was adamantly against it until last minute. I feel our unsuccessful effort to transition into GTA V throughout 2023-2024 humbled us a lot. We learned a great deal about our approach to the community and how to prioritize our efforts so they’re as impactful as they can be. I’ve said this before, but I can’t overstate how happy I am with the place LS-RP is in currently. Not without flaws for sure, however after years of looking at descending trendlines, barring the occasional boost (RAGE launch, SA-MP relaunch), we’re finally seeing organic, steady growth month over month, for the past half year or so. A statistic that keeps surprising me every time I remember it is that over half of the players who play our SA-MP server today have never played LS-RP before we relaunched the SA-MP. That really goes to show this platform is still thriving and gives us the drive to continue improving it for a long time to come. Credit where credit is due, none of this would be possible without the amazing staff we have, and the passionate, engaged community which keeps pushing the envelope year by year, and day by day. So shout-out to all of you, and an even louder shout-out to people who refuse to simply embrace the status quo but instead choose to actively look for ways how to improve the community and our servers. I do my best to surround myself with people like that, as comfort and complacency are my (and LS-RP’s) worst enemies. To bring you some RAGE updates - we’re currently working on the last few features to finish before relaunch. We’ll be integrating the new Insider scheme shortly as we enter a testing phase to make sure all the features our RAGE team has worked on tirelessly for the past year work well. I’m stoked to show you some of the features and mechanics we came up with. There’s so much more I want to say in regards to RAGE, however as I mentioned a good few times previously, I’ve learned from my mistakes and I won’t speak on them too soon. But we’re close. Very close. Birthday Giveaway To celebrate LS-RP turning 18, we’re also giving away a month of free Premium membership to 18 of our players. Each hour spent in-game between 17th of May 2025 00:00 GMT+1 and 31st of May 2025 23:59 GMT+1 including, translates into 1 ticket for the giveaway. 7. From GodFather RP to LS-RP – A Story Worth Telling As LS-RP celebrates its 18th year, I can’t help but look back at where it all started for many of us. Long before this server became what it is today, we were just a bunch of passionate roleplayers trying to find our place, and for me, it all began with the GodFather RP server. Back then, around 2005 to 2007 if memory serves, we were all part of the same faction, the Cuneo faction, led by Jonathan Doe, and later taken over by Margus. We were a tight-knit group and honestly, we probably took the game a bit too seriously. By the time GF-RP reached its final days, Cuneo owned almost everything: player-owned houses, businesses, you name it. Margus even ran the only gun shop on the server and had stacked up close to 2 billion in-game dollars. It was a wild time. Eventually, things reached a boiling point. Some drama sparked between the scripters, Fear was the main one back then, and the server was wiped. When it relaunched, everything had changed. There were no name tags, no OOC hints, you had to actually talk to people and figure out who they were. It was immersive, chaotic, and completely unforgettable. After that wipe, Amef, K, and I decided to try something different. Me and Amef are real-life friends, and we had played with K on GF-RP. K knew some scripting, so we figured it was worth a shot to build something of our own. We launched a small server, hosted on K's backup PC at home, and within a month or so, we had over 50 players online at all times. The numbers kept climbing. I was just 17 years old, had recently quit school to look for work, but instead I found myself glued to the server with Amef, playing day and night to grow the community. Then Mow joined and offered to host the server on a better computer, and that pushed everything forward even more. One of the key people who joined us early on was Fed. He brought a lot of creativity to the scripting side and was responsible for developing one of the first versions of the vehicle system, along with many other features that helped set the server apart. His contributions laid a solid base for what came next and helped bring the world of LS-RP to life. Hreno stepped in with a huge amount of dedication. He wasn’t just helping out casually, he sometimes spent up to 14 hours a day coding to improve the server and push features forward. His commitment and effort during that phase were a massive part of the foundation. Following that, DamianC came on board. He was part of the SA-MP tester team at the time and brought a more structured and experienced approach to scripting. That was another major turning point that helped LS-RP grow into something truly stable and long-lasting. Fun fact for those who didn’t know: our first forum domain was kjelvik.net/forum, before we managed to scrape together enough money to buy the LS-RP.com domain. Humble beginnings for sure. We brought in most of the old GF-RP player base, including nearly all of the original Cuneo members, and from there we started doing what we loved most, mafia roleplay the old way. And now, all these years later, I also want to give massive respect to the current leadership. A huge shoutout to mmartin, who has been running the show as developer and owner for what feels like forever. The work, the consistency, and the dedication it takes to carry this community forward year after year is no small task. Thank you for taking LS-RP to this level and keeping it alive for a whole new generation to experience. So here’s to the old days To Jonathan Doe(R.I.P) and Margus, leaders of the Cuneo faction To the Cuneo crew and LS-RP beginning: SpitZ, Giorgio Moretti, Fed, Monty Carlo, Tobin Wright, Pxm, and Amef (and mostlikely many more) To the admins messing around To the grind, the fun, the chaos, the friendships, and the factions we built together To everyone who played a part, big or small And to mmartin and the current team for keeping the flame burning And of course, happy 18th birthday to LS-RP Here’s to another 18 years of chaos, stories, and community
