Hey staff and players, you both suck! These threads are always the worst, it's full of subjective critiques from players that have no realistic way of being solved as there is nothing concrete to work on. Stuck up staff members not willing to self criticize, former staff members who think they were one of the good ones, banned players just lashing out at the server and people who haven't played in months chiming in with little experience of the server today. Mixed in are a few good critiques and ideas that usually get lost in the endless mess which comes from the groups I mentioned earlier in the thread. I would love to see more players posting suggestions in the suggestions forum and active in things such as faction team public. I love this server but LS-RP's current community is absolutely pitiful from both players and staff. The only thing that will "save" LSRP is community cooperation from players and staff. Currently you have a large section of the playerbase with such a level of hate for the staff team that they are unwilling to work and discuss things in a way that will help to solve the problems they are frustrated about. Tirades, claiming the whole staff team doesn't care or is corrupt, alongside other vague critiques that are essentially just "staff bad," "legal/illegal FM bad" don't do the server much good only stoking flames without even coming up with real suggestions to correct the real issues the server has. As for the staff team, some of you all need to get your head out of your ass. The server is not perfect and if someone provides suggestions to an area of the server you work on they are not coming for your life's work but are a player who wants to see the server get better. Your whole purpose as staff is to work to improve the server for the player base, listen to them. Nobody is on the same page, what gets lost in the endless back and fourth between players, former staff and current staff about who sucks the most alongside a few actual good suggestions is that currently there is so many different ideas about what exactly is wrong on the server. I really think LSRP should conduct an end of year survey amongst all players to gain an actual idea of what players consider to be the biggest problems so that moving into the new year there can be a concrete way to move forward instead of subjective garbage.8 points

I have already made a video on why the state of SAMP roleplay and LSRP as a whole. Yet staff does not acknowledge much of what the community says, myself included. Ive had staff become angry all because I critiqued their mapping. Most if not all the mapping that has been implemented during the years have been overly buggy, horribly optimized and mostly DO NOT FIT with the San Andreas atmosphere/aesthetic in my opinion. Idlewood pizza stacks is cancer and they need to move mallrats somewhere else. The server has been the literal same and nothing positive has actually happened, just more deathmatch, hackers, & complaints about the new system thats been implemented. The server needs a entire revamp itself if they even wanted to see a crumb of NEW players and not just returning ones for nostalgic purposes. We all know staff is gonna downplay this comment but it needs a revamp and there gonna say “what u think we should do?” and ill say it again REVAMP THE SERVER ITS 2024 GOING ON 2025. There is no reason why the most popular rp server has the most outdated features and wonder why people crash out over mere boredom. - REVAMP Los Santos. Time after time I ask staff to reach out to a youtuber who goes by the name Lisiu, he is a talented modder and specializes in making lore friendly SA style mapping. Staff tried to tell me his mapping is only for MTA but it is not and has been debunked several times already. You give people something new to look at they may just hop on - FIX THE ECONOMY, money is practically useless on this server, nobody wants to spend half of their time grinding just to get a shitbox house for 20 million. Homes need to undergo a new system. We have already discussed how the auction system is abused regularly - ADD MORE SCRIPTS, stop being so prideful and add some rpg like elements to the server. nobody wants to /me out everything they roleplay and a big example of that is a GYM! Add some workout animations, actually give us the opportunity to workout n stuff without it actually contributing to stats, we just want more stuff to roleplay. Other honorable mentions are: - A minimalistic stats/inventory system - Updated phone system - Updated weapons system (meaning 1 or 2 mags per weapons, different damages etc.) - Actual staff members who consider instead of downplaying peoples suggestions, i see more people look for bad than good under these threads.3 points

I have seen the amount of work and dedication Cake has put into the server and I agree with Cashew, people should thank her. Like her or not, if everyone dedicated half the time she did to scripting in their respective areas or IG role-playing, we wouldn't be having discussions like these. I've said this a few times and I will say it again. The server’s issues have nothing to do with new scripts. Most people can’t develop characters properly, can’t do passive RP, can’t create RP for others or themselves, can’t take a L and sometimes are not even bothered to get IG at all. Shit, some of these people can't even be decent human beings to others. And yet they feel entitled to have a dedicated team and have everything handed to them in silver plate. This is what REALLY needs to change. The only script you really need to have fun is /me and /do. Everything else is a bonus.3 points

For the people going at @Cake's throat you have no idea whatsoever the amount of work and effort she put into LSRP development in the short time she was back. Claims about open source scripts being used are absolutely ludicrous too. We've sat in calls together for hours with screens shared, writing completely new scripts from fresh files. Cake's one of the most talented developers I've ever met and had the pleasure of working with. For the "durrr we didnt ask for the train we want a forensics script", yes, I agree, the forensics script would be MUCH better than the train, but the train took one evening to implement. The forensics script will take considerably longer, especially now that the main person working on it has resigned (not that I blame him). People genuinely want the world and it's impossible to deliver. When I changed the taxi license exam someone literally messaged me and asked why I was wasting time when I could be working on a drug update. Mate, it took 15 mins to do the taxi update and it improved it considerably. People just don't understand. I'm not going to leak internal dev chat stuff or whatever, but just to put it in perspective for those who don't understand, we have a roadmap, yes, but most of the features on there are assigned to a specific developer. I and others have offered to help with different things, but were told no. I wrote a simple update to be able to /transfer from anywhere (using a banking app on your phone to wire someone money) and my pull request got closed because "we'll include that with the phone update". I never understood this myself but that's the way it goes. Not flaming anyone here or throwing shade, just opening eyes. Regarding illegal updates and stuff, here's some text from back in October when Spectre (and some others in IFC) stonewalled my company enhancements update. I made a group chat to discuss it because I was adamant that the legal/company RPers were getting something since the script hadn't been touched since release. We offered COUNLTESS times to work on ANY update they wanted for the illegal side, to simply not get a proper answer and be told there's a FT Dev board with Spectre himself said is dead. What use is that to anyone? If you guys knew the work she's put in for 14.0 you'd stfu and say thank you. Most of the features are for illegal RPers.3 points

The server wasnt as bad as ppl are trying to portray it here. it was better than lsrp before 2021’s closure, there was few pros like the dev team and ifm team (even tho the complaints abt spectre here is valid). I see ppl crying abt both teams here but u will always have crybabies even if ur the most successful, both teams r not the reason for the playerbase drop I cba to write my opinion in details but i think lsrp has done a horrible job with few things 1- marketing 2- new player experience 3- handling their admins and im saying admins not testers (leads+ job) u will always have players leaving the server for million reasons, theres no way to stop it. But what u can do is always bring new players thru marketing and giving new players a good n easy experience to make em stay, but ye samp is old and its a harder job now to do that but u could of done better tbh, but i still know we r not in 2015 where u can easily get new members thru other servers like ngrp pla prrp, etc. its hard now you are alone, but could of done better imo2 points

Damn, what a bunch of fighters we've turned out to be. I've been here since 2014, and for the most part, I was just a lurker—never really vocal when it came to sharing my thoughts or contributing to forum discussions, aside from PD. I preferred to sit back and watch everything unfold in this community. But, man... it feels like most people here have already pointed out everything that's wrong, and management seems to be trying to listen. I've been on and off LSRP, but I will always come back simply because it's hard to just walk away. I genuinely believe there's still potential here.2 points

i think we should just get ingame guys. even if its like 70 players if you join you're seeding the server. u can afk and go about whatever else you want to do. if more and more people do it it becomes a chain reaction. if 10 people see that the pb is 70 near peak time and hop on to afk, then the playercount will be 80 which will influence more people to hop on and so forth and so forth. seeding isn't an uncommon practice for different game servers.2 points

To address the main complaints of HOLF (which people are calling LFM), these complaints are because of the current choice of the current Sheriff, previous Sheriff and because I didn't let SD have free reign with Sultans etc. To address Azuko's complaint seeing as it was the first one I saw, the conflict of interest rule he suggested, I spoke to Michael/Jack at the time and they OK'ed the suggetion being closed due to the fact it's a staff suggestion, not a player one and should be suggested in the staff area over the player area. Whilst it does affect players, it's also down to the admin team not fully understanding the rule. He said I was friendly with Iudex and co and the pastebin he posted and quoted question he was asked, he doesn't realise it wasn't myself who asked this question and it was Michael who had made the group PM between people involved in a faction complaint and us (Michael and I) to get a bigger picture and the outcome of the faction report was decided by Michael and I so there wasn't just one single person involved in the outcome. As for him saying I was forced to ban Iudex, again, he's mistaken. It was Jack who had banned Iudex due to the clip circling around so there's no protecting anyone. Other's currently not happy with HOLF are due to the fact when Iudex was banned, a replacement was picked which wasn't them and the ideas they had weren't heard because the choice had been made already, again, not just one person decided and it was mentioned to the other leads and also Michael and I agreed on the replacement. People weren't happy and said he was inactive etc and weren't even going to give him a chance to prove he's worth being Sheriff and wanted him removed and them placed in the spot, basically. Before Iudex was Sheriff, there were almost no complaints, Orbit had decided Iudex was to replace Brasi because Brasi had a lot of IRL things happening and since then, anyone who had taken the mantle of HOLF before it was absolved by (A)HoOps would of gotten the same amount of hate. Someone in SD said it great to me in DMs "People will always find something to complain about regardless of who you picked". For the post by Flim, Martin and badhbh was informed of the decision to close the thread so it's not like it was only my decision. Both of them would of had a perfect opportunity to say something should they felt like it was something worth discussing. Flim, you said that you sent me a PM, yes. You also asked if I could join TS and you were told I'm on LOA with a sickness and then proceeded to say "OK since you can't join TS for whatever reason" even though you honestly knew the reason why I wanted a PM instead and why you didn't get a response as I believe I told you in the IFT discord, I was on LOA at the time of reading. You also asked a bunch of questions such as "Are these factions running optimally? Are they supported by the current LFM; have they made steps to improving the game surrounding them?" - All Legal Factions are running optimally, regardless of what you think. They get all the support they need should they ask for it and aren't held back from doing things they want within reason so long as it's not something that'll damage their reptutation/server standards etc. If a legal faction needs anything to improve them, they can request for it. If they believe they need script additions, they can request it, mapping additions/changes? They can request. If they don't request it, we won't be going around just adding things willy nilly based on our opinions of what they need. Overall, it's honestly so tiring to see people constantly complaining over something such as SD choices when it's not just been a single person decision ever since Orbit left the staff team. People do have geninue concern but it's minor concerns and they believe it's something which has contributed to the decline of the playerbase when it's the community as a whole. Martin, Michael and Cake said it perfectly, no matter what happens in this community that staff do, nothing will be good enough and for people who come on this game in their spare time to try to have fun, the amount of abuse etc people get is highly demotivating for anyone if they aren't getting paid to take the abuse. The only way to possibly bring back the old players is by changing yourself first and stop being toxic, finding anything to complain about and stop being entitled, thinking you deserve something because you asked for it. When LS-RP was made, I doubt people were so entilted back then and it flourished then and every single year, people got more entilted because "I'm known on the server" or "I'm friends with XYZ". Find a group to play with, enjoy your time on the server because you make the community.2 points

Cool that's just how I feel about it, it looks dogshit, but what about the other two people who were criticizing your work in a nice way? Are they also a dick? You had Bandemic and another person whose messages have been deleted who gave you an entire paragraph on why the mapping looks dogshit: You sat there and proceeded to try and argue with a person from LA, born and raised in LA, hell his whole life he's been in LA about how the mapping actually looks like something from LA IRL. You sat there and called him emotional, that he's raging. I said it looks dogshit cause that's how I felt it looked like, I'm not sugarcoating anything and never will, too bad if you think my opinion is harsh. I could not care about 14.0 and what it brings, good for Cake and the illegal roleplay community, I'm over here bringing up the fact that some staff members do not take kindly to criticism and would rather respond in a hostile matter instead of actually tackling the issue of why certain people do not like it. Just cause I make a few good mods does that give me the authorization to argue with people about how my mapping looks perfect 24/7? No. I'm done posting on this thread as it seems like I hit the wrong spot for certain people here.1 point

THIS right here is what I've been trying to say but couldn't find the words for. I've experienced what VaudeVillain said by "if someone provides suggestions to an area of the server you work on they are not coming for your life's work but are a player who wants to see the server get better.", I called out a certain snippet of some mapping that was gonna come out in Jefferson calling it dogshit (cause it really was) and that it looks like something straight out of Ukraine or DayZ (Picture), it did not look like it belonged in Los Santos at all, what I'm met with in the next few minutes was just certain admins and members of the community dickriding eachother about how good they are to eachother, the relentless ignorance by some of the staff members is really fucking funny, they see criticism as an insult instead of actual constructive criticism, they think whatever they put out is the best thing on the planet and nothing else will top it, very terrible attitude. All of you need to shut the fuck up and stop complaining and instead lay out ways on how the server and the community as a WHOLE can fix itself, we don't care about what he/she/it/they did to you or how it affected the community, the real question is WHAT are you gonna do about it? Whine? Complain like it's gonna magically fix the fucking server? "WAHHHH X did this to me so now the server's ass! Garbage! Trash!" I tuned into here expecting more fingerpointing but when I saw VaudeVillain's post it's literally spot on with how this discussion is going.1 point

Heya, LSFD leader here for the last couple of years! The playerbase has always reflected the amount of members the LSFD has. When there'd be literal hundreds of players on the server back in 2015, there were almost 100 players in the LSFD. As the playerbase declined so did the member count. Server's at 100? I'd say LSFD is at maybe 8 off the top of my head if you don't include leadership. LSFD recruitment is fairly easy. I'd say a ten year old can probably pass the exams. We give you the manuals, you get multiple choice questions and call it a day. All anyone has to do is apply and make sure they can write English well in-game with a quick interview. However, medical roleplay is not for everyone! It can get repetitive and boring. For example, you're on duty and you just had back to back to back to back to back to back gunshot wound calls, you try to make the roleplay as unique as possible but it's still repetitive and soon enough, you get burnt out. Or you know what? You joined, you realized medical roleplay is just not your cup of tea so you resign. Or... life happens and you have to resign! Anyone who ever complains to me about the lack of members in the LSFD, I'll respond with, "You're a part of the problem! Be a part of the solution and give it a try." Recruitment is open buuut... we're not here to force people to join. If you want to join, do it! We're a welcoming tight group that is always there for one another. Also, if you look at the current playerbase, everyone's either a cop or illegal. I wouldn't point the blame on Legal Faction Management either because again, it's not for everyone. As for other pointers you brought up: We do in-game events when we can, we attend any that are in the works whether we're there because it was the 9/11 event to stand there and look pretty or because there's a racing/wrestling event so we're there for medical back-up, etc. We do have fires from time to time but it depends on who's available and online, and what led to it, however, I'll speak for most of the LSFD on this one, we do not like OOCly orchestrated fires! It removes that realistic feeling of it and I'd rather attend an actual call with people that are calling 911 instead of some fake Jane Doe that's trapped in the building. Recruitment fairs? We've attended those! As for paychecks, the lowest amount you'll ever get is $5,000 per hour but we typically have money in the bank that makes it higher than that. Lastly, new people should not be immediately operating the ship on their lonesome. We have our system in place and have made it way too easy for people to move up and pass the probationary stage. In the end, medical roleplay is not easy and not for everyone BUT we are PRESENT and THERE to teach you along the way! Just because you do not SEE what's going on doesn't mean it isn't happening! And there's my two cents. 😁1 point

We don't want this to lean towards being a generic faction so we will have our own personal twist. If you've found the thread interesting and want to participate and join us on this journey then we expect you to know that you will have to develop a character and focus on bringing out the realism aspect in the environment. Any information regarding sending CK permission, the faction rules, backstory & more can be found inside the Discord channel which you can join by clicking the link below. DISCORD1 point
