Hello, As we announced earlier this week, our SA-MP server is finally ready for a pre-release. I want to talk a bit about what this means, why we’re doing it and what’s the plan with (not only) the SA-MP server going forward. When we set out to bring back the SA-MP server a month ago, I had a condition that if we’re doing this, it has to be done right. The SA-MP server has serious legacy and I’d consider it improper to rush it out the door like it’s no big deal. The server and all the data connected to it has been sitting in the vault for around three years now and I was surprised to be reminded just how complex the infrastructure around it is. Over the past month, we’ve been all hands on deck in development and leadership to bring the server out as soon as possible, no compromise. Majority of the work we’ve done was captured on our SA-MP Roadmap, which we kept updated periodically to keep you in the loop on our progress. There’s still a lot more to do, mainly staff and admin tools, and strengthening our AntiCheat, which has honestly been lackluster even three years ago, let alone now. We want to be prepared for the players and do our best to provide a fun space to play. I’ll be honest I’m surprised by the amount of people interested in the pre-release already. We opened the server up to premium members yesterday, a day earlier than promised. As of writing this, 130 players have joined the pre-release so far by activating a premium membership (including those with leftover credits from Patreon). And that’s only during the sneaky-surprise-don’t-tell-anyone pre-pre-release! But yes, it’s a huge relief to see the interest this early on. It allows the community to be self-sustainable for the foreseeable future without having to worry how to pool funds to keep the lights on. So I’d like to extend my gratitude to everyone who chose to donate by purchasing a premium membership, or plans on doing so - thanks to you we’re able to keep going. Thankfully we haven’t experienced any major issues during the pre-release yet. We found a few issues in our infra, but nothing we couldn’t fix over the upcoming week. We’ll see what we’ll have thrown our way still. The early stability is a testament to the great work that’s been done by our staff team - thank you everyone who tested, developed or otherwise helped prepare for this milestone. We're listening, hearing, watching and seeing. Your feedback during pre-release and post-launch is very important to us and we'll use it to shape what's going to be prioritized going forward. I've put our head of project @Sal (and of course rest of our lead team as well) on a mission to put the needs of the community, and the server, first and help us translate that into actions. We also realize the importance of marketing efforts we need to do now, and we're on top of it. To join the pre-release: Make an account on our User Control Panel Fill out a character application (or just create a character if you already have one and want another) Purchase credits and activate Premium Membership in the Premium Central Download SA-MP 0.3.DL-R1 Connect to server.ls-rp.com:7777 using your account name ("UCP name") Optionally, you can download the model cache directory from our Model List Page. Looking forward seeing many familiar, and new faces ingame! IC Social Media As promised, we’re also launching an In Character social media platform for our SA-MP server. Since we already use faceinvader for RAGE, welcome our newest domain portfolio addition: myface.site. The facebook inspired IC social media platform is available to use now and anyone can make account, even if you’re not a part of the pre-release, or are otherwise unable to go ingame. Contact @badhbh, the head of in-game social media platforms in case you have any questions. Model Previews About four-five years ago I started working on a suite of tools to allow us to render any models from GTA:SA in the browser. This includes skins, vehicles (including mods!), objects, custom maps and so on. I spent some time dusting it off and adding support for edge cases in RW rendering and optimizing it so we can fully utilize it in our pipeline. What this allows us to do is to not only render all your skins and modded vehicles on the UCP and render them in real time in your browser, but for example it allowed us to render the entire GTA:SA map, including our custom maps (including custom game models!) and outside furniture, in great detail. You can see a small preview of it already when you change spawn on the UCP, but just to get a picture for the actual scale of it, check out this POC and try zooming around different parts of the map to see (not only) our custom mapping in great detail. While this was maybe a bit over the top to prepare for a simple skin and spawn change, it lays out great potential for a very powerful “map on the web” feature, once we take full advantage of it. Anyway just something I got excited about. Aerial view of a custom map in Pershing Square and the custom LSPD Metro Station V-estern Front For our RAGE Multiplayer server, we’re currently testing two features: in-game television system to watch content together, and an improved minigame (breakin). I’ve also started work on a Casino Roulette script, as another part in our Gamba Feature Series. Don't forget to have fun. Martin10 points

More recent footage has recently surfaced the internet of a supposed Gang related shooting near the Ganton 24/7. The car nor the shooters have been identified, and eye witnesses claim the car was a tan colour Tahoma, but no registration was seen on it. During the shooting it has been reported that several shouting and screaming occured, one of the most common being something along the lines "Niner Gang" as witnesses report. The shooting happened on the 19th of March 2017 at roughly 7:40 PM. The footage was recorded on a damaged CCTV Camera which was mounted on the corner of the Ganton 24/7. The owner of the shop said "I ran out as soon as I heard the gun shots. The car was coming right towards me and I thought I was going to die. Luckily he spared me and drove past. But what he left behind was horrendous. A blood bath right opposite my store at the blue projects. It was a horrible sight". Local law enforcement advises people to stay inside after about 8PM due to an increase in crime around Southern Ganton. The LSPD is currently on the search for the Tan Tahoma and asks anyone who see's it to instantly call 911. ORIGINAL NINERS "Niner Gang" Was formed originally in the early 2010's by the unity of 3 local Ganton street crews ranging in ethnicity. Initially the crew united under the "NINER" banner which comprised of Mexicans, Blacks & Whites due to rising local tensions between other crews which led to this new found unity. The original "South Ganton Niners" were led by 3 OG's, each running their own crew. Generally lacking in numbers the three crews maintaing control over 2 project blocks, frequently slinging drugs in front of the local 24/7. This became increasingly difficult when opposing gangs began competing for the same spot. This led to many deaths & arrests leaving all the original OG's dead or in jail. The inevitable downfall of many Original members resulted in younger members taking over the same spots in attempt to fill the vacuum. During this time the Niner's had gained control of that Hyatt Park neighbourhood. Despite the gain in turf the young clique still had many local gangs/street crews still hunting for them. This made it more difficult to make money, hang around outside. The Original sets faced many struggles throughout 2015-2017 despite being around for such a long time, their turf was still regularly contested. The gang continued making most of it's money through selling drugs and occasionally dealing arms locally. Most crimes were petty and despite seeming organised, lacked integral structure and order. Many internal conflicts led to already dwindling numbers diminishing even further. A tight knit circle still remained, and the once somewhat powerful street crew became obsolete. NINER FUNCTION The NINER FUNCTION is a set formed out of Crystal Gardens & West Grove, representing the ORIGINAL NINERS. Surviving members found themselves in Crystal Garden's where a new set was formed. It's a coalition of older & newer members that rose to strength prominently in the late 2019's. This newer younger collective quickly rose to power in the local area, frequently supplying arms & narcotics to locals. The new group undertook several hierarchal changes, many members had been given specific roles within the gang and through this newly found structure, the gang was able to hold a united front. This gave the new generation NINERS a chance to seize more power of the local area which they did, ultimately attracting an increasing amount of law enforcement to their neighbourhoods. ((Thread is currently a work in progress, still trying to figure out how to use this new forums! Any help via DM would be greatly appreciated, for now this is all we've got!))2 points

Eastside Hustler Crip (EHC) is a predominantly african-american street gang with it's roots going back as far as the 1980s. The gang has a long and rich history that revolves around gang violence and wrong doings, with the majority of members following a common theme of the desire for power, respect, women, money and protection. Gangs that fall under the Hustler Crips are loosely connected and are not necessary allies of each other. The term "street gang" is commonly used interchangeably with "youth gang", referring to neighborhood or street-based youth groups that meet "gang" criteria. Currently the gang has an active membership consisting of around twenty to thirty members. The gang operates around Jefferson, a district slightly to the northeast of the city center of Los Santos, San Andreas. North of Jefferson is Las Colinas, while to the south are Idlewood and Ganton. West of Jefferson is Glen Park, while to the east is East Los Santos. It's turf starts from Crenshaw Boulevard and stretches all the way over to Washington. The area has prominent gang activity and is a low-income district with a high crime rate. The gang is divided into three separate cliques: Crenshaw Hustler Crips (30s), Slauson Hustler Crips/Cardinal Hustler Crips (60s) and Washington Hustler Crips/Rowdy Hustler Crips (80s). In previous years there has been a noticeable downfall in the gang's membership, with the 60s Cardinal Hustler Crip sub-set being considered defunct for a period of time. Lately however the sub-clique and the overall function has seen an up-tick in new members joining, especially youth that seem to be driven by a promise of power and/or protection from other gangs. The Hustler Crips operate independently, which means each Hustler Crip set carry their own allies and Rivals. Eastside Hustler Crip doesn't fall under trays or deuce, they operate independently due to previous beef with both Gangster & Neighborhood Crip sets & also the majority of Mafia Crip sets as well. The Eastside Hustler Crip are rivals of 99 Mafia Crip, Florencia 13, Lennox 13, South Side 13, Bounty Hunter Bloods, Palm Tree Piru, 54 Van Ness Gangster Brim, 83 Gangster Crips, Kelly Park Hustler Crips, with Florence 13 being the longest running rivalry being directly responsible for the increased gang-related crimes around Jefferson. Police has an increased presence around Jefferson, making an effort to combat gang-related murders, shootings, and general violence related to gang activity.0 points
