What are people thoughts on the Company system? Reading into it, the system seems very good, and the thought behind it has obviously been a lot. However I think it may need fine tuned or rethought a little. I'm currently running into a problem where my factions Company application was denied. Meaning from what I can tell, we cant even apply for a business / property for the next 4 weeks. I enjoy the thought behind having companies, and I think that the script behind it is great. But I think maybe the having the company as an overall umbrella to everything else can be a little restricting if you don't get accepted for a company. As far as i can tell, and I may be wrong, its going to be at least 4 weeks until my faction can have a property they can hang out at and a way to bring RP to the faction and server. What are your thoughts on this system vs the systems used on other servers? How are you finding running a business? Overall enjoying the server!2 points

Think about this logically because more often than not the players behind the characters aren't adults and then it's full on paedophile shit. On PedoW*rld EVERYTHING is paywalled, kids with no money are actively erp'ing with adults for OOC shit like P*doPoints, even in-game cash or a stupid little virtual cat that jankily follows them around. It's a hotbed for predatory activity on minors. Realistically something like stopping all erp happening is nigh impossible but, with OOC consequences it would make erp taboo and less people would be inclined to do it on the server. Age verification applications could be created, similar to gun licenses but with real world I.D needing to be shown in the application and then once accepted, the erpers in-game, before the erp takes place make a /report for admins to age verify both parties are 18+. Now I'm not saying you need to verify your age to take part in illegal roleplay, only for players that want to sit there doing some grimey anims and typing /me's with their left hand. I know the age verification process seems long and invasive but at the end of the day, think of the children. What meaningful roleplay and development has ever come from writing /me's of a sexual scene when it could just be faded to black?1 point

I think the main thing to be focused on right now is stabilizing the server. I know there are lots of people who want to play the server, but aren't able to do so consistently because of the connection issues with joining on RageMP. Usually, I gotta connect upwards of 10 times just to get to the log-in screen, and after a while I sometimes just decide to play another game for the day and hope for better luck tomorrow. Once people can join the server easy I think we're gonna be doing a lot better. Much love to the staff and devs ofc. No server is ever close to perfect when it first releases and I hope the bugs can get worked out asap.1 point

I think the server is doing very well at the moment and I am very much enjoying it. I do however fear that were heading in a direction that is TOO realistic. I agree and love the idea of having realism. However we need to keep in mind that this is still a game, and it needs to be a happy medium between fun and realism.1 point

ever since we more or less got access to LSRP ive been thinking about this a LOT, this isnt just about money as an item but its the idea overall, arching over concepts too when you think about it to begin with, how will businesses function if the economy is so realistic? are you going to get scraps for almost two hours of work? the owner will want to squeeze you for every dime they can, so they'll pay you the most minimum wage possible, because he has to earn too, right? alcohol n allat, which is obviously fair because thats what a business is for. what about criminal rp? i had an idea of making a brewery where we make half-baked alcohol but try and disguise it as a luxury brand, but theres no system in place, and with an economy like this theres no way staff would just let us /createitem or whatever and then sell it, because that'd inflate the economy. or what if we have a pawnshop, and we sell RP items? in such an economy, nobody will ever want to spend hard earned money on an item you can't use in any way. this wasn't a problem in ANOTHER SERVER because money was much more readily accessible, in fact, pawnshops were great there, and fun to have. my MC used to steal all sorts of appliances and we made a deal agreement with another MCs pawnshop to unload everything we stole. It was fucking fun as fuck having a relationship like that between two MCs, and felt really cinematic. i seriously think that if we made money a lot more accessible, it would also really incentivize non-profit roleplay, but to combat this, we should also increase the prices for everything remotely luxurious and keep an eye on characters that shouldn't have that kind of shit with whatever background theyre roleplaying. anyway, Charles Schwab ova here1 point

i feel like everything is way too vanilla and grindy which are 2 big issues. character customization is laughable, and tbh should be the thing you guys should worry about the most, thats what keeps players playing, knowing their character is unique1 point

First impressions are hard for me considering I’ve been waiting a long time for the server release like many others here. Although the server is mostly playable with some teething issues causing people to crash randomly (multiple players crashing at random spots on the map). I struggle to understand how the server was so delayed yet we are still in this position where a lot of work remains unfinished. I hope these issues are fixed in a timely manner and the server becomes playable for everyone se we can see more and more people in game.1 point

I encourage you to play a few hours before engaging in this discussion. Every player gets over 10k+ starting cash split over multiple social security checks, instead of a lump sum. That's money for just being ingame every hour. You're then able to finance a vehicle, with 10k you can afford most of them. Then all you need is to work 1-2 hours a week, depending on what you do, to afford the weekly payments. The way we set up the economy is that after just a few days IG, you can get a vehicle without grinding and without inflating the economy with massive amount of cash from the get go.1 point

I've played around for a bit and here are my thoughts. - The script works great. The phone is well done ans so are the rest of the features. It's stable and gives me trust that it will be capable for lots more to come. Even the job missions are well done and thought out. - I'd be nice to spawn back at the same location I left at. Saves us from having to run back to the place we were. - The wage/payment system is honestly a big joke. Around $200 per paycheck as a beginner and don't even get me started on the jobs. I've done trucking and mowing and both deliver between $5 and $30 per completed job. Mind you that it takes a bit of effort and time to finish a job. How are people supposed to be able to afford a vehicle, housing and some other items with wages from 1899? Players will be forced to grind, grind and grind their way up to a basic scooter or bicycle. It honestly demoted me to even log back on. The $500 you have to invest in a commercial license is a big waste because it does not earn that much more than the mowing job does. All of my starter money was wasted after trying to get sorted at the DMV so I'm left with nothing. - Vehicle pricing. Some vehicles have weird pricing. The Carbonizarre is around 20K but a Stinger GT is 20 mil?1 point

I think currently GTAW finds itself in the shoes LSRP were once in. By that I mean that they have a monopoly over the genre simply because there is no alternative, similarly to our community on SA:MP. Players stuck around because there was nowhere else to go. On GTAW what you've got is a server and community tailored around legal roleplayers, ran by legal roleplayers and heavily influenced by legal roleplayers. One sticking point that comes up time and time again is their IFM's lack of engagement, transparency and knowledge and this is the driving force behind the bulk of our roleplayers leaving their server. Now, a lot of people use this a basis to promote their roleplay but the fact of the matter is that it's the truth, their lack of regard for their illegal community is what will offer LSRP a way in. Over the course of the last few months it's been more evident than ever and their management's obliviousness to the fact is what adds insult to injury. For this server to hit the ground running what you have to do is capitalize on the shortcomings of the aforementioned server and strike while the iron's hot. Transparency will be a key factor in attracting these players. Deliverance will be what keeps them and the expectations and promises need to be fulfilled in order for this to come to fruition at all. Illegal roleplay shouldn't be prioritized by any means but it should be treated with the same amount of respect as legal roleplay and given the same opportunity of prosperity. Illegal roleplay has always been the foundation of LSRP but what made LSRP so consistent was its honesty, its openness and its lucidity. Transparency was always there one way or another. One look at their faction's forum and you realize that their faction management team are driving people into LSRP's arms and for years it's gone unnoticed and unaddressed because their has been no alternative. You can forget about servers like LCRP making a wave because they're not battled tested like LSRP is and don't have the following LSRP do, coupled with the fact that their management are as corrupt as the day is long. All these make-shift beliefs and idealisms are used to lure people in but it's nothing more than a false pretense and a power grab. In other words, in certain communities if you don't agree with somebody's modus operandi, they will find a way to ban you, silence you or misinterpret you. On LSRP I believe that the number one priority should be to put the power in the player's hands. For this to overtake its competitors and scratch the surface it's got to recognize the flaws of communities that don't work. LSRP is genuinely the last hope for those interested in illegal roleplay. We need to do as much as we can to emphasize that and promote the fact that the community and management are receptive to that or we're back to square one. It's in all of our interests if we're on the same wave length. All old community politics should be disregarded and the slate should be wiped clean. This will only work if we're all on the same page. Make LSRP great again.1 point

I'm interested in why you would want to make rolling a joint more difficult. It's pretty easy in real life and none of the items you mentioned (beside papers) are actually required to roll a joint. However, from what I understand is that you'd like to see more drug paraphernalia available at some point to make drug usage more immersive. Not a bad idea and I think it would open up opportunities for people who'd like to run a head shop that sells bongs, or simply a 24/7 that sells papers, swishers and all that stuff.1 point

This. Also an important key feature is I want to feel like I'm playing something different, unique, new. I want to feel like I'm playing LSRP. LSRP was great on SAMP because well...you can tell it was LSRP. It wasn't like RCRP, PRRP etc etc. It was LSRP! Within time I think this vibe will come forward.0 points

Maybe introduce something like assets request? Let's say if you hit some criterias (e.g.: character background story w/e) you'd be able to request some goods for a certain limit. This way ppl wouldn't need to grind for basic stuff.0 points
