OK, let me start off by saying - there's no "fresh off the boat" type shit happening in 2022. It's not happening anymore with Russian/other CIS countries' immigrants moving to US. So please, don't roleplay that you got into States in a shipping container. There's two options on how to get into US, being Russian: 1) The only legal way is by getting a green card. I'm sure most of you, if not everybody, knows how it works - you apply in 2022, you get a chance to get a green card in 2023. Usually you move to US, when you're 100% sure you'll get a job there - you either have work experience in Russia and want to pursuit international career or you're fresh from the college and you hate Russian government, that's why you want to move (most of young generation hates Russian government these days). So you apply, send them all the papers and get a chance to move, basically. Even though USA stopped giving out visas to Russians, afaik, we can ignore this fact for the sake of RP. 2) Illegal immigration. There's a new trend throughout CIS countries on how to get to USA. People usually buy tours to Mexico, then they move to borderline towns next to USA, find a cheap car with US numberplates and try their luck by going through the border. There's whole forums with people discussing how to do it and how to look american as possible. Why does it work for some of them? Paper check control is located behind the border, on US territory. So if people're lucky to cross the border before they reach the paper check stop, they'll just pull up on the officer, show them their russian passports and ask for political refuge. It might not work, because the car could be checked way before immigrants reach the border and people will be sent back, so some people try their luck for 4-6 times before they eventually get lucky. Usually they have all the papers from Russia that confirms they're refugees (fake or real). It usually costs $10000 a family. Those immigrants usually land up in US jail for a few days, then they get released till the court. Their russian passports get taken and exchanged for some papers without any picture on it (I-94 paper for those who's curious). So yeah, you can't find a proper job or rent a proper house with a document like that. So they end up searching for some shitty house/apartment, that'd be overpriced (because they're immigrants and people will double charge them). And yeah, these people will look for any sort of work to feed their families. It's a risky move, that's not worth the risk, unless you really need/want to get into USA for whatever reason. So because they can't find a proper job, they're searching for russian employees, who'd agree to pay them for any sort of work (and, of course, lowball them). Their children will be immigrants too, even if they're born in USA - they won't have a chance to get US citizenship, because their parents have no documents on them - only if they get married to US citizen. So yeah, I'm not a guide writer, I'm just saying how it works nowadays. So the best decision would be to roleplay russian-american, who was born in US. But you could try your luck and RP illegal immigrant, but do that on your own risk - please, make sure you think of your character's background and don't drive sports cars and buy apartments, simply because it'd look stupid for an immigrant. For me its a yes and no at the same time. I've seen way too many times that people /v parked the second anyone even stared at them whilst they were inside their stash vehicle (Sadler most of the time) just to avoid being robbed, some even /q'ing after when approached. I would rather see people use safe objects within their homes/appartments to stash stuff instead of vehicles since they can't magically despawn those.

We're going to keep the rule we had in the Faction Team where a faction can reserve the right to Character Kill a person as long as the person has forum PM'd the faction leader with consent to CK their characer. We're not looking at introducing a new rule where you could apply for an individual character CK application. If a character is rulebreaking and thus would reach a point of where it's natural to talk about a character kill, it's up to the lead admins discretion what to do. We will always educate players first, then punish them instead of going for a "Character kill" punishment. Drug dealing/trafficking Guide for STREET GANGS Drug dealing and trafficking is one of the most popular things to get involved in when you're doing gang roleplay, but the issue begins at this specific point where people force people into drug dealing to prove themselves and treat their gang factions like its an entire Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) which is somewhat unrealistic in that sense as not everyone involved in gang politics in Los Angeles are also involved in the drug game. In fact you'd be quite surprised, a lot people want to stay away from the drug game due to the bullshit it brings with it and instead a lot of gang members resort to fraud, robberies, burglaries, etc. Now, there's a difference, in what I said as well... people normally stay away from large scaled drug ops in gangs but a pretty hefty number of people probably deal drugs on low scales such as dimebags, eighths, halves, etc. Main issue is when it comes to selling bricks and stuff, and since LS-RP has always worked with ounces; we'll use 3 or more ounces as a starter point for this then. Normally when people get involved in drugs inside of street gangs, it's selling petty amounts but deep inside normally lies a secondary foundation of big time drug dealers and trafficking (depending on the connections) within that gang. The reason I'm emphasizing this is important, because the moment you're brought into that side of the drug game a simple fuck up can land you six feet deep. Street gangs are already cutthroat to the bone as it already is, but when you involve yourself with big time drug dealers and potentially traffickers within your set then you're accepting an offer from the devil in plain sight. The reason I'm bringing this up, is because a lot of people who do large scaled drug ops inside of street gangs, tend to act like it's either the entire street gang doing it and operate like a full DTO or they ignore the realistic tensions that'd come with it. It's normally a clique inside of a gang with very few people that actually 100% know what's going on when it comes to large drug ops inside of gangs, because of how cutthroat it is and the lack of trust for people. The petty drug amounts that little homies are trapping with, probably come from big homies involved deep in the drug game and it's normally the best drug dealers that sell petty amounts that normally end up being brought inside of the gang's inner circle when it comes down to large scaled drug ops. Now I do want to say this, the drug game inside of street gangs is completely different to actual DTOs or OCGs, and tends to be a lot more grimey. Depending on if it's a Southsider gang or a African-American gang, there might not be any structure inside of the gang and the one with connections to the plugs might be the one that's "influential" at that specific time n place. This is important to remember, because if your gang has no structure and goes off of a generation structure instead of a hierarchy structure, then you could even roleplay having paranoia and trust issues with people because people can get knocked off over a female or some shit in gangs, so when it comes down to drugs it's twice if not thrice as bad as the before example. This guide might not look like your average guide, and might remind you of a mini book or something but I purposely wrote it like this so it's easier to take in everything at once.
