It's definitely worth playing with mods imo. Try checking out DZSA launcher it makes modding the game a whole lot easier.

its aight but its better if you have a group to play with, i use to play it a lot solo but it did start to get boring. But it is worth a try if you enjoy looting/pvp games imo.

Playing solo is boring, I agree. I played it a lot, ever since it was a mod for Arma 2, but now you need a group of friends to have fun in it.

Depends on the person. I've played it since A2 mod, 90% of the total playtime I have has been solo runs and I've loved the game. But for the most, it's usually better to have friends around.

Played when it was free on Steam. Got like 60 hours in 4-5 days, let's just say we overshot it a bit with three friends. They grinded it even more than I did and welp.

DayZ is very funny game , especially when I camp in police station somewhere in Gorka at night and hear that someone opens the door.
