  1. Hi All, hope everyone is well. Welcome to our March Staff Update, we've a lot to cover this month as we've a lot of updates from some of our core teams, you can read about those below. Illegal Faction Team Update The Illegal Faction Team has been diligently working behind the scenes on a number of updates and improvements to enhance our activities. We are excited to welcome @Dos Santos to the Illegal Faction Council. Dos Santos will focus on identifying and addressing the challenges we faced during the initial launch of V, as we prepare for the relaunch of our V server. Additionally, we have also recently opened the Letter of Intent (LOI) process for the Illegal Faction Team and have onboarded new members to support the illegal roleplay scene. Following a discussion between Illegal Faction Council and management, we've agreed on a candidate. We'd like to announce, @unlawfulact as the newest addition to the Illegal Faction Council. With this expanded team, we are actively reopening several schemes. The Scenario Scheme is now managed by @Rye, and the Melee Scheme is overseen by @alooshy. We will soon announce the new heads of the Drug Scheme and Strawman Scheme, which we aim to have reworked and reopened in early March. Furthermore, we have implemented certain measures to ensure that factions of subpar quality are identified and supported in their efforts to meet our high standards. We received significant feedback regarding factions that do not meet LSRP's standards. To address this, we have revised our Turf Requests process. Instead of solely evaluating faction activity, we now consider the faction's overall reputation and the quality of their screenshots and roleplay. Factions that do not meet our standards will be moved to 'Unofficial Factions' until they demonstrate improvements in the required areas. We would also like to remind factions of the support available to them. Any faction with turf on the map can receive assistance from IFT/IFC with properties. We have several complexes available across the map, and if there are none in your specific turf, we are happy to explore creating one or finding alternatives to provide your faction with housing. We are committed to helping your faction in any way necessary. If you have an idea that does not fit within the current schemes, please reach out to us, and we will be happy to collaborate with you and your faction. Mapping Team Update A few words from our Mapping Team Leader @Fiellavin; We've been actively adding maps to enhance engagement across various areas, including companies and illegal factions. Now, we're looking to collaborate with different parts of the server to meet their specific needs. This doesn’t mean we’re stepping away from any group—we’re simply broadening our efforts to ensure all areas receive the attention they need. We welcome any roleplay-oriented map requests, and I’m always open to discussions with those looking to contribute to the community’s growth. Commerce and Estate Team Update A few words from the Commerce and Estate Council: Over the past few weeks we have reached out for and looked into player to gather feedback on property auctions and where they would like to see new properties being auctioned. Based on the community input, we are excited to announce a new bi-monthly schedule for auctions to better satisfy the players' needs for properties. Moreso, we have started auctioning unowned complexes around the server to better help address the ongoing property shortage caused by blocking apartments purchases without complex owner consent. Make sure to keep an eye on the Auctions boards as we plan on introducing more complex auctions in the near future. Event Team Update A few words from our Event Team Leader @JustSid: I’m honoured to step up as the new Events Team Leader and continue the work of making LS-RP an exciting, immersive, and unforgettable roleplay experience. First off, a huge thanks to @danielswe for all the effort and dedication put into this role before me. Moving forward, Our focus will be on expanding event opportunities, bringing more large-scale, story-driven events, and ensuring that both legal and illegal roleplayers have more dynamic, engaging interactions. I want to make sure the Events Team is working closely with factions, businesses, and community leaders to craft unique moments. If you have ideas, feedback, or just want to be involved in upcoming events, my DMs are always open. Let’s push LS-RP’s roleplay experience to new heights together. See you all in-game. Big things are coming. 2. Hi All Hope everyone had a good starting month to the year 2025, we've not much to report on this month since a lot of our efforts have been going into the well awaited 14.0 SA-MP Feature update that was deployed yesterday, you can find out more about that here: Illegal Faction Team updates We've a small update from our Illegal Faction Team Council; As per the new illegal faction team regulations all new (or recently re-opened) factions are obliged to submit a turf application if they've been around for 2 weeks. This is mostly for quality control, once you have turf. You will be moved from unofficial factions to the main faction board where you will be considered verified. Letters of interest that have been submitted are in the process of being reviewed, these will be finalised by end of the week. Without further ado, onto the staff update; Staff Update This month we're going to be opening up our tester recruitment cycle, we had our last batch of Testers at the beginning of November. We'll be accepting applications until the 15th of February, good luck and happy applying! Now, onto the Staff Update. Congratulations to our newly promoted staff members ... End of Year Update

    Heres to another year!
  4. Hey. Please shoot me a PM and we'll get the mapping you had looked into and added. I know there was a previous request but I want to make sure it is actioned properly this time. Apologies on the previous attempt, we've now setup communications like I said. I'll work on a way for active factions to make direct requests.
  5. By the time we implement something in that construction zone spot, yeah it might be completely different. We're building examples and playing with different ideas.
  6. If you read, its not final and is subject to change. Its shedding light on we have mappers actively working on the server.
  7. Hiding it so public opinion doesn't cloud judgement on a staff report, while I'm all for transparency the case with Iudex was black and white hacking. This one is a little more complex with it surrounding LFM Rules, investigation into the situation, and so forth. Last thing we need is for public opinion to go right out the window and demand action when the clip is severely out of context! The report has been forwarded for investigation regardless. Along with that, if you look at the recommended post on this topic, it offers nothing constructive from a brand new burner account. This topic is not the place to do it, you get transparency when we are certain of actions and conclusions.
  8. Greetings LS-RP! Over the past few days, I have been working to make LS-RP a better place for both staff and players. Firstly, I want to address some issues within the staff team, as they have been mentioned multiple times by both community members and staff. We have started to remove inactive members from the team. By the end of the month, all of our current "dead weight" will be removed. After receiving suggestions here and internally within the staff team, I’ve revised some of our policies. One of the revisions concerns the rule that admins can’t handle their own situations. While the policy wasn’t explicitly worded this way, it was intended to prevent conflicts of interest or bias when admins were involved in situations. Admins could handle these situations if no other admin was available, but this was often misunderstood and didn’t happen in practice. For the sake of both players and the admin team, this rule has been removed. The admin team is now expected to use common sense, along with the training they received during their Trainee Admin phase. Regarding policies, we’ve clarified our stance on "education over punishment." I believe this stance was misunderstood and taken too literally. Since the rule was introduced, there has been excessive leniency within the staff team when it comes to punishments. For example, you might have seen a level 30 player breaking basic rules and receiving multiple warnings instead of being properly punished. Our Admin Team has now been instructed on how to handle these situations, and you will see us becoming stricter with those who have previously abused this leniency. In the past week or so, we’ve also increased the number of active mappers and modders on the team. You may have seen some of their work on our Discord. For those who haven’t, I’ll display some examples below that will be included in our next update. The following is a WIP / Example of what the mapping team is up to, this is to do some long awaited map updates (THIS IS NOT FINAL AND CAN CHANGE) : Along with this, I’ve worked with IFT/IFTC to establish a direct line of communication between our teams. This is aimed at improving wait times, communication, and addressing the various concerns that have been brought up in this thread. A special shout-out to anyone who has previously had issues with requesting maps or receiving responses from the modding or mapping teams. If you have maps ready and just need them added, feel free to send them over to me, and we’ll verify and add them. One key point that has been raised is the new player experience. As @ROZE is our Head of Player Experience for SA-MP, I’ve asked him to investigate how leadership and development can improve this experience from the very beginning. We’ll have more insight and information on this soon. If you have any clear examples, please direct them to @ROZE. I know there are many more points in this thread, but I hope this provides the transparency the community has been seeking. I will be working through the thread and taking everything into consideration, addressing quick wins where possible. Larger and more complex issues may take time to resolve, but I appreciate that the time to act is now, and we are doing just that. I hope everyone is enjoying the Christmas festivities and spending time with loved ones. That’s all from me for now. Peace & Love, Jack
  9. Sorry to say, all of this has been done over the course of 17 years, it will not change. Join FD if you want to see change and push activity.
  10. Posts going at peoples throats will be removed as its nothing constructive to this post. I gave my final warning when I re-opened this topic, I do not want to close it as I want to have an open forum. If you've nothing to post that isn't going to help in the long run, close your tab or your browser and continue about your day. No one here wants to listen to it.
  11. It is not our intention to go on a spree of hiding posts and banning members of the community from the forum for simply stating their experiences with certain staff members. We've already been through some of the hidden responses and unhidden those that were not directly attacking someone or stirring the pot, ones that did will not be unhidden, not because we are censoring but they add nothing to this discussion. We are also unlocking this post so allow further discussion between the community, but that means; This is a final warning, if this becomes a channel to just argue and share issues with particular members of the community or staff then I don't want to see it. If you have issues with staff and have evidence to back up your statements I want to see a staff report submitted so we can ensure it is being handled accordingly. This isn't a topic either for players who are banned to try and prove their innocence, we have staff reports and appeals for this and it should be utilised. Same as before, if this is the case then I want to see it submitted. Come together as one and share valid and constructive feedback, constant back and forth with members only floods and hides what could be important messages.
  12. A lot of players are sharing their feedback, which is fine. I just don't want it to be clogged up in messages between two players going on about their own issues with each other.
  13. @Azuko & @jcgortez we're not turning this into the thread for you two have an argument, continue it in your DMs
  14. Congratulations everyone!
  15. To stop speculation and misinformed statements being spread throughout the community. The post will be made available once it’s been addressed. Last thing we all need is it being spread around and people taking it gospel on their first read through. After it’s been addressed and if people have already formed opinions or made their own truth that’s fine. LS-RP is a different place as it was a few years back and you’ll see that later. We address things head on and continue progressing the community forward.
  16. It’s already been mentioned by Cashew. The post will be addressed, keep an eye out.
  17. So we don't hit a limit and cause issues with the property system.
  18. Was a privilege to lead this faction for as long as I did. Long live Sheriff @Brasi
  19. Can you give examples? Just so we know what to look out on and possibly work on better processes.
