  1. The Eastside Chronicles 1826 Crenshaw Hustler Crips was once considered to be a sub-set of the infamous Ryder Blocc Families, a gang who was said to be one of the most violent of Los Santos's Crip sets during time of it's activity. However, as time progressed 1826 Crenshaw Hustler Crips themselves grew so large in numbers, that they eventually branched off from being just a sub-set of Ryder Blocc Families and within themselves created their own codes of conduct and functions. The gang was, for a while, still allied to the Ryder Card, and carried the numbers "1826" (numeral code for R.B.F) in front their set. The Roots of EHC - From Idlewood to Crenshaw The gang was founded by an East Idlewood native, named 'Nino Bethold' who at the time, was considered to be a well known teenage drug dealer and also alleged relative of Ryder Blocc Families founder and Original Gangster, the late Dane 'O.G Dope' Andrew. Although the gang's proclaimed turf and strong-hold is said to be Crenshaw, Jefferson, it's roots can be traced all the way back to East Idlewood where many of the founding members first met and bonded. The founding members of 1826 Crenshaw Hustler Crip were simply a group of teenagers who hung-out together (Tyreese Hampton, Mitchell 'Money' Buckner, Kirk 'Dirty' Barkley) and eventually started dealing narcotics through-out the East Idlewood neighborhood. None of the teenagers were gang-affiliated at the time, and simply considered themselves as 'Hustlers''. One of these young men being, 'Nino', a stand out kid with a witty and charismatic attitude. 14 year-old, Nino Bethold was simply a kid who hung around the neighborhood during his early teens. Nino was a regular neighborhood kid with big dreams of one day living lavish one day, and also had the ambition go along with it. After awhile of hanging out at local dope-spots through out East Idlewood and building relationships with teenagers who were already involved in narcotics sales, Nino himself was eventually introduced to selling narcotics. Nino first began dealing small quantities of Marijuana to fellow neighborhood teenagers. He quickly caught the hang of the drug trade and as time progressed he began dealing larger quantities of Marijuana, eventually stepping up to stronger narcotics such as 'Coke' and 'X'. Nino managed to avoid attention while dealing narcotics in the area through different methods. At the age of 16, he was dealing larger quantities of drugs, gaining more income, and at the same time gaining more respect among the teenagers in the area who later turned out to be part of his clique, and later on to be the fellow founders of the 1826 Crenshaw Hustler Crip gang. The Idlewood Motel, where Nino and his aunty resided was considered to be a strong-hold for the Bloods faction at that time. Bethold and his friends would be confronted on a daily basis by members of the Bloods, who would try either extort, or run them off. This however first was not a huge issue and the teenagers simply tolerated it. They continued to operate around the neighborhood under a low-profile, most times staying clear of members while distributing their narcotics. None of the teenagers at the time were affiliated with gangs, and were simply focused on stacking their income so they could better their personal lives. However, the problem to new heights one night when members from the Blood faction began shooting after Nino and a group of friends who were at the time hanging at the local 7/11. Glasses shattered and people screamed in distress as the group of teenagers fled from the gun fire. Luckily no one was hit and word quickly spread through-out East Los Santos that the Bloods were targeting any-one who dealt narcotics in the area, shooting them on site. Luckily, as time passed the Blood members were deteriorating in members, another gang in East Los Santos were growing in numbers. The Crips. Neighborhood Crip gang members began popping up around the area, and the rivalry grew with the Bloods. Bethold, at the time was not very fond of ''gang-banging'', he was thought of being trouble, and was bad for business. Nino first started becoming affiliated with the Crips as he made friends with members who he met at the store. One of these being a fellow teenager and knuckle-head, 'Ant' and a well-known Original Gangster from their set, nick-named ''O.G Greedy''. The gang members embraced the young Nino, and instead of trying to extort him as their rivals ''The Bloods'' did, they offered him means to make more income. Nino grew more affiliated with these gang members around the Neighborhood and built friendships with some. He was fascinated by their lifestyle, along with the fact that they were so opened up to him. Crenshaw Hustler Crip was formed with the soul purpose of protecting themselves in the new neighborhood over on Jefferson. Gangs had a strong hold in the Jefferson area, and many different factions controlled turf throughout the whole district. The teenagers knew if they were to survive that they had to organize themselves and begin recruiting other neighborhood teenagers. Crenshaw had been previously been controlled by different gangs for many years, but most of the Original Gangsters were either dead or incarcerated. This left a very huge void in the neighborhood, which Nino and the other teenagers quickly saw opportunity to fill. The founding member, Nino Bethold usually flaunted the drug money which he had accumulated from his small drug operations sales back in East Idlewood, and used it as a way of influencing other teenagers, along with his street-knowledge acquired from his time of hustling in Idlewood. Founding Members Nino 'Newjacc' Bethold resided with his mother at Glen Park, up until the age of 8. His mother, Sharrisa Andrew was the known sister of a of notorious gang leader, Dane 'Andrew' Sharrisa tried to keep her children shielded from their Uncle during the early stages of their lives. She was embarrassed by her brother's murderous reputation and also feared being targeted by rivals of his as he grew more in power during his reign. Nino was sent to live with his father, Nathan Bethold, who resided at the Idlewood Motel. Nino had not gotten to know about his Uncle until his late teens, during his period as a drug dealer. Nino had got in contact with his Uncle through different relatives. Around the same time when Bethold, was moving out, he bonded a great deal with his Uncle through phone calls, Eventually gaining his permission to carry on the gang's tradition through his own small set. The 1826 was added, and served as a sign of homage to the 'Ryder' faction of the Crips. Kirk 'Dirty' Barklay was one of the teenagers that became a part of Nino's group in Idlewood. He got put on the game by Nino and Mitch and followed the group to Crenshaw. Through ought his life he was a shotcaller and big homie, leading Crenshaw Hustler Crip along with Nino. He was involved in a lot of the gang's businesses and directly responsible for the war between Crenshaw Hustler Crip and Sintown Crip. He got involved with the daughter of a prominent Sintown Crip member and that is the reason why the whole war started. Today 'Dirty/Krazy' Kirk Barklay is still a well known figure of the neighborhood but not for the usual reasons one would think. While other gang members stopped being active/got incarcerated/died in the streets, Dirty Kirk secured his one way ticket out of the hood by becoming a porn star. Nowadays his name doesn't hold the weight and respect it used to do. Mitchell 'Money' Buckner was also a key member of Nino's crew, and also the one, together with Tyreese, that first put on Nino on the drug game and taught him the ropes. Mitchell 'Money' Buckner also had family ties with some of the gangsters that used to run Jefferson before CHC came to power, although it is unclear as to which set he had family ties to. Mitchell holds the OOOG status in EHC and although he was originally part of CHC, his name and reputation holds more weight to the 60s Slauson Hustler Crip subset, where Mitchell lived at. Tyreese Hampton's name is largely forgotten by the faction and his involvement in the gang's early days is unclear, but what is known is that he was originally part of Nino's crew and also moved to Crenshaw with the group. 7. Roleplay was never about the scripts in the past. If that were true now, we could all sit on Discord and roleplay using plain text. Like it or not, things changed and people do absolutely need scripts to roleplay. LS-RP was at its peak back then because it was the only server around doing something like this. Things have changed however, and in order to stay competitive, you do need to bring something new to the table. GTA:World at its inception was sooo bad yet it had the basics there: /me's, /do's and thats it. But if they wouldn't have kept building the systems up, the server would never enjoy the success it has now. Yes, scripts and features attract players and that also goes hand in hand with having a trustworthy and reliable staff. LS-RP:V's problem is not the script. It's the fact that most people won't be bothered to try again after N times management and staff have done a poor job with leading the server and building the community's trust. There's zero incentive for my friends that be on GTA:W to make the switch.
  8. I've said this before and I'll say it again: LS-RP:V's script on launch was really good. Way better than what GTA:World's cobbled together over the years. The UI and UX was great, the scripts were working, starting from zero and with a clear vision in mind showed. A few features were missing/were incomplete on launch, but as it stands today, LS-RP:V's script blows GTA:World's out the water. Unlike GTA:World, where whenever I hop on after a break I literally forget how most of the things work/where they are at and the UI and UX is a mess. The scripts and features are not the issue. It makes zero difference if LS-RP:V comes out with the ultimate diddy erp script simulator v2000 if all my friends keep playing on GTA:World. For prison factions, you need a strong player base. SA-MP relaunch at its peak couldn't get prison active (~300 players). Only way LS-RP:V can succeed is if it manages to build a healthy player base (read ~300). Anything less at peak hours and it will meet SA-MP's fate. You need a solid player base in order to be able to engage in most avenues of roleplay without the server feeling dead. So what incentives are there to play? Yes, GTA:World has its issues, but Nervous has proved himself a reliable manager and there's a reason the server keeps hitting 900 players at peak hours. Whereas LS-RP's management and staff have disappointed us and shown us they are not reliable time and time again. Still hoping to hear what the actual plan for this to actually succeed, because more scripts won't do it.
  9. Yeah, if you high on copium or go back to 2000s to RP. June 2023: Server was uncooked, basic QOL features missing, unfinished scripts, horrible launch, A lot of people went back to World because the server was missing a lot of features deemed necessary for roleplaying. What features I want to see? Capable management and an actual plan going forward. For the past few months everything was kept on a hush, the staff themselves seemed divided between RageMP and SA-MP and I still don't see any incentives or ways to build a viable player-base on V.
  10. I don't see how LS-RP:V can succeed. Any hint of faith the community had in a LS-RP:V server was shattered after the N delays and broken promises as well as absolute shite communication between management and community, as always. The launch was a disaster and you really only get one launch, there are no do overs. There's just no place for LS:RP on that scene, everybody and his dog on GTA:W. So what's the point? Why keep the community and staff splintered? Pick a course and stick to it.
  11. Personally I think Mmartin should already start developing the GTA 6 RP server. Given his track record and the numerous delays, if he starts now he might be able to deliver on time. If not, he will be too late and Nervous will take control of the GTA 6 RP market as well. /s I don't think there are enough players that would play on LSRP:V, given the current player base on samp. I wouldn't mind playing on GTA 5 given it's a much nicer and smoother experience, but why play on a server that might get 50 players at peak instead of the behemoth that is GTA:World? What incentives are there for players and ex-lsrpers currently being active on world. How can a healthy PB be reached? I think SA-MP shows the most promise right now to at least stay alive with a decent player base.
  12. While it’s clear that some individuals have invested significant effort into the re-opening, and I can personally attest to the dedication and support provided by a couple of them, there appears to be a larger issue at play. If a ship with ten captains on board still manages to sink, it speaks to deeper systemic problem, primarily the disconnect and poor communication between management and community and the server's direction as a whole, that continue to hinder the server’s progress. The server feels as directionless as ever. The SA-MP reopening seems like a last-ditch effort to revive the community, but the lack of unified focus among the staff remains a challenge. With a substantial portion still focused on GTA 5—a venture that lost momentum years ago and has repeatedly demonstrated its lack of viability resources feel misallocated. We want to focus on SAMP, but also we are entertaining the idea of relaunching the GTA 5 server, sending all the faction leader's a google form about it, while saying SA-MP is our full focus and so on and so forth. Mmartin’s inconsistency has only added to this predicament. Since the SA-MP reopening, critical issues have been raised repeatedly without tangible results. Familiar problems resurface in every discussion, often met with calls for “patience,” but this approach no longer resonates with a player base that has grown weary of delays and half-measures. The cycle of doing too little, too late continues to chip away any confidence left and drive players away. My whole point is, management is obviously not aware of the huge mistakes made in the past as they just keep repeating themselves like a broken record. That's just my two cents. Now when the server is at its lowest point PB wise, now the management makes a true effort in trying to implement the community's wishes and reach out to everybody, but it's too late imo. All of this should have been done months before.
  13. Hah, good one. As always, the server is plagued by bad management, unwillingness to listen to the community and a knack of not learning from past mistakes.
  14. I've been trying to get some mapping added around Jefferson since (checks logs) 2019. Since the re-opening I've been PMing back and forth with Caledonite and all I got was fuck all. Even got somebody to help us out, did parts of the mapping and when we needed help with a few things, nobody could be assed to give us a hand. And then, my ideas got shut down because they don't fit with the LS theme. Thank fuck the DayZ mapping fits. And its conveniently outside of our turf, great. After seeing the 656th precinct added and mapping done in bum fuck no where near the prison, I gave up hope. God forbid one of the largest faction on the server (that struggles with retaining players btw) and is still active gets some features added in to motivate people to play even more and just add something new to the scene. Or at least checking in with us "hey guys, check out his DayZ corner yall can do shoot outs in, ya like?". Had to see the abomination through leaked staff chats. Smh. Anyway I lost all hope atp. Edit: 38St has the same issues as well. And from what I can see, the mapping that 38St did themselves and asked to get added to the server, and the shit I just seen above, doesn't fucking match at all. But I guess communication is hard in 2024. Edit 2: On second glance, thank fuck for the hobo-land corner on east LS. I bet it will get the spot jumping. Why is the mapping team hell bent on creating mapping that benefits nobody and doesn't bother checking in with ACTIVE FACTIONS ON THE SERVER? Where RP is actually being done? Where the mapping can be used most? Fking hell.
  15. Why is the conversation at hand about FD? FD is a niche area to roleplay in, so obviously it won't reach crazy activity numbers like PD or street gangs. Even on GTA:World, a server that has 9x the LS-RP playerbase and a lot more features added in, FD still struggles.
