I'm surprised at the amounts of time my name was mentioned. All I did in the LSSD was promote capable people who have integrity and a vision for the faction with the correct experience. Despite people leaving cause they didn't get a shiny rank within a few ranks of one, trying to get listed on speedrun . com for their achievements in LSSD. We had certain people trying to go from DS to ES within a couple of months, when it took people years to achieve that rank for the first time. Kayayday and I were REINSTATED into ES based on our experience in the past and our ability to run factions unlike some people who had zero to no experience in handling the bureaucracy. I personally was involved in having people like Azuko promoted into ES by vouching for them and their abilities, so it's odd I'm shunned by them when I was their biggest supporter. Storm was promoted by agreement of LFM, Brasi and Azuko! Suprisingly Azuko agreed to it, but states the contrary here and I have nothing against Azuko, the opposite. I am one of his biggest supporters and I personally think he did a lot for the faction. Storm deserved the promotion. The only one to disagree with it was Unlawful on the basis of, "He has done nothing in TB, all he has done is work for WTU." We decided that the vote he cast was invalid because it contradicts itself. He states he has only done work for WTU and not TB, when WTU is actually part of TB. Once Storm was promoted to Commander, the faction was revived. Matt's promotion was denied because: 1) He constantly was AFK on duty to get ABAS up, once being /kicked by myself even admin-to-admin for AFKing in public. 2) He left abruptly and resigned himself from SOD without informing ES, until he had to be spoken to, to revert it. 3) He did not work much in ELS and openly told us he was not interested in it, this is documented in the Sheriff's private forum. Matt was capable at the end of his tenure and was due to be promoted to CPD Commander, but we had 0 reason to rush it and promote him 1-2 week(s) after his resignation from SOD. It felt like just a means to promote him and this was documented in the Sheriff's forum. Storm on the other hand, never resigned like Matt and co, always stayed in the faction and was loyal to the faction itself, not any specific person or resigned when he was made to wait for a promotion or assignment. Based on contributions, ABAS and divisional work, Storm was easily the best option to move up to Commander and even ES. Unlike others, he actually cared about the faction and not the rank. I'm surprised at the amount of lies people spew, especially things that are made up. I'm more disappointed about certain people who I always backed and thought highly of. Azuko, I never snaked him at all, so it's confusing to see people try to speak up about things that never happened. I think that LFM is a great asset to the server is working fine! Despite any accusations made against me, I did a lot for the faction and this cannot be denied. The best decision I made was promoting Kayayday and Storm & reinstating Duco. They truly care for the faction and will always run it like I imagined. As for ScubaStef, he was a notorious and prominent leaker within our faction, leading us on a "Catch Me if You Can" chase that lasted for a while, leaking private confidential faction material, at some point he even tried to bargain with ES saying he won't ajail @Paxton Bagwell if we complied with his demands in a recorded TeamSpeak conversation (I still have it), we did not comply, we have more integrity than that. He was warned about handling scenes and saying the N word on TeamSpeak. He kept being racist and this is also recorded and available. He kept handling scenes as an admin that were not allowed to handle. He was unfair to players. This is not to mention his unfairness during an admin situation as a player of LSSD. He came across a situation where a man had a shotgun /place'd in a car and ScubaSteve saw the gun cause of his illegal car modification (ScubaSteve's game, when he was so DM-hungry that he RPed it taped to the exhaust, when a normal Premier showed it was physically inside the car.) And he decided it must be RPed taped to the exhaust. This was absurd and wild. That's why we could not handle his quality of RP (or lack thereof). So I implore the staff team to open an inquiry into his position, as he was reported multiple times and even certain leads are confused as to why he is still an admin. A racist, leaker and RPG player does not belong on LS-RP. This is not to mention ScubaSteve spectates not just players, but admins randomly. (Stefan Castillo being the only person who was not at the place. He was spectating us without due cause and reason!) He is a notorious rule breaker, and it is surprising to see his kind still on the admin team. His warning of Storm on the forum is simply retaliation for his failed career in the LSSD. Despite the numerous allegations against my name, I did the best for the faction despite the coup d'etats orchestrated against my faction to get me removed. People were going around shopping for others to resign (Proof is available in the private Sheriff forum) and their coordination was lackluster which is why they failed. We even had people be friendly with us while leaking to others trying to get us removed, which is sad and unforunate. People tried to brownnose @Kayayday, @Storm or I and be all good-good with us but ended up trying to spy for others when we are simply ordinary and good-natured players, trying to find any fault with us. The very same people who tried to complain to LFM and still complain to LFM right now are ones who: 1) Want to bring back the SASD (2014 version) 2) Used SPAS-12 on SWAT deployment to undermine criminal RPers 3) Used Sultans to drive-by suspects and tried again to undermine our criminal RPers 4) Used admin commands (ScubaSteve) to identify criminal RPers while on TeamSpeak (leaking) to target them (documented in Sheriff forum) This is the things I can recall from the top of my head, but these people did not nor do they have the best intentions for the LSSD in their mind. They want to revert it to the stone age to increase shootings with the illegal faction population and at some point advocated for AIR patrols to call out guns anywhere. @Kayayday, @Duco and @Storm's administration is the opposite. They are with the illegal side of roleplayers which is why I promoted them. They are people who were around from the start of the server and handled it before. Not like certain people who have zero to no experience.5 points

my post may get deleted after this, but im not surprised at the playerbase dropping. you got admins like Eren banning players without even asking both parties what exactly is going on. ive been banned twice by eren and in both those occasions not once was i asked what am i doing, what lead to this xyz. never have i ever seen that happen on lsrp. what is this? a dictatorship? in my honest opinion, ifm never really had a backbone, they never really put their foot down and was too scared to outvote people in management and get rid of certain people who have clearly done wrong. as always, when you make a staff report, nothing really happens as the outcome. why is management too scared to get rid of staff members that are clearly incompetent and making the playerbase decrease even more? ive heard and seen so many scenes of ScubaStef trying to fish more DM, but when he gets absolutely killed in a scene, he tends to cry like a little baby. is this the attitude an admin should have? especially if you're on /duty and spawn back in with the guns. honestly @Iudex im not surprised ScubaStef is a notorious rulebreaker and leaker, people think they can get away because they're admin, and that tends to be the problem. when testers were reported at the peak of the server, the testers were clearly in the wrong but they were brought back because of "clean staff record" when it was blatant DM. why are we bringing back staff members who are blatantly rulebreaking and killing anyone and everyone for no reason? what on earth is "clean staff record" and "education over punishment"? i've seen someone with one ban from years ago get banned for DMing, this clearly isn't education over punishment people don't make staff reports because it's too much of an effort to go on the forums and wait weeks for it to get handled you remove admins like @Iudex who actually know what they're doing and how to actually administrate on the server, a good admin on the server. but yet you keep admins like scubastef who are abusing their position and singlehandedly ruining the playerbase2 points

You know I love you flip but this just isn’t true. When Spectre and IFM stonewalled the company enhancements update I was working on (still laughable), @Cake and I both said that we would dev purely stuff for illegal RPers to sweeten the deal. We never got a concrete answer on what they wanted.2 points
-
I think it’s best to acknowledge this - whilst asapdev is no doubt a talented developer, his motives and refusal to help out until being given developer access and stuff you can only access after signing an NDA, amongst other things I won’t disclose publicly, means this isn’t going to happen. I tried to work with him previously so that he could contribute as he says he wishes to do, but we couldn’t find mutual terms.2 points

Time to give @asapdev a fair chance. Cause we firstly need a consistent developer on the development of the SAMP server. If he is up for it! @Mmartin2 points

Hello, I’m one of the “banned players who creatde a toxic community here” the leftover scrape of pb still playing this keep regurgitating Anyone who didn’t follow the status quo: DMers That’s why the small leftover of this community keep harping on that redundant talking point. But those same ones y’all banned for “DM” left… then this whole topic started because the pb went to dog shit not long after. All that to say, we are hearing from individuals who don’t understand the true essence of roleplay. They’ll hop in for a couple hours, get some nice screens, do the same orchestrated rp and then do it again the next day. Little do they know is the amount of time/effort was put into development when our faction specifically couldn’t even get a business for 3 months, couldn’t get drugs on time, let alone approved for strawmen until about 3-4 months from submitting our app, get bombarded with forum reports for petty losses, couldn’t get answers for recommendations I submitted to IFM, got ignored when I asked about property management questions, started with literally $50,000 on returning to this server (we didn’t have legacy money like a lot of y’all), no property, no house, nothing. And we still outlasted and produced a lot of these shit factions who think they’re contributing anything other than numbers. LSRP use to put development and accurate RP respective to that factions dynamic on the forefront of the server. @DDaniels we can agree on one thing, it was never about script shit. It was about the passive, enjoyable rp conjured by a willingness to portray the most accurate character you can. It was fun that way. @Eren @Helius you won’t last long, and this will eventually die out. But at a minimum, you can salvage this and get a good start in 3 ways: 1. Put the management, leadership and testers up to a board. You have more chiefs than Indians, let the community vote for their administration. Give them say, a week or 2 and then get new, effective, result-driven staff in with in game time to back it. 2. Focus on the requests. It’s an easy short term fix. People start gaining assets (businesses, schemes, jobs, NEW ways to make money, etc) it’ll maintain if not maybe boost numbers and playability. Incentives, for easy money and scores. 3. Remove IFM as a whole. They’re useless and are not needed at all. Head of Factions . . Assistant HOF . . Consistent, effective communication with the current faction leaders still active, no position needed just fucking listen to them.2 points

I've issued two forum warnings (and may issue more) from this page alone. If this topic is going to turn into a back and forth and provide ABSOLUTELY no constructive ideas, I'll just go ahead and close it down. Most of us are adults with full time jobs. Let's start acting our age or I'll be giving out more forum warnings and temp bans.2 points

This thread follows the journey of involved persons of Seeker's Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, a group tied to the Blanco-Longoria Drug Trafficking Organization. Our mission here is that we depict realistic 1%'er motorcycle club roleplay with some taken liberties for entertainment purposes and flavor for our shared immersion. A group deeply interwoven in narcotics, the concept of brotherly creed is nuanced by motives of power, drugs and money. People looking to link up and join should have a character suitable for the depicted environment. You can enter our Discord here if you have any inquiries about the group & joining.2 points

I'm happy to say what I think needs to change to see an improvement in the player base. 1. Removal of "Education over Punishment" Right now there is an expectation that admins educate over punishing. Meaning a player can DM someone 2/3 times before we enter the space of actually being able to issue a light punishment. When I returned to the staff team and saw this, I was shocked! This is why we lost the standards and went from a "Heavy roleplay Server" and entered the realms of being more like a Cops & robbers server which is probably the best way to describe the current state of the community. I have standards, and luckily I have a set of rules which I used to govern. - I don't follow this rule, I never have and quite frankly I never will. I am all up for helping someone understand where they have gone wrong and explain to first time offenders, but if I think (On the balance of probabilities) deliberately broken a rule, you're being punished for it. I owe this standard to the rest of the community that uphold the rules, play fair and want to get on with their roleplay. I know what its like to be roleplaying with your mates, and to have a dumb ass come up to you trying to provoke you to desperately try provoke a reaction to justify pulling a gun and engaging in a shootout. It ruins everything and creates the very situation we're in. (Barely any street level gang roleplay.) 2. Removal of Inactive and Idle Administrators & Testers We have a large amount of inactive and completely Idle Administrators and Testers that are retaining their positions for absolutely no reason. I am all for people having breaks and having real life priorities however a large percentage have been on absence for months on end. And for the Admins I will break that down for you guys to understand in a more granular detail. We have too many Admins in key positions who are Idle holding their areas hostage over the title but don't want to actively work for it. Lead Admins: 7 Of the 7 admins, only 2 (28% activity) have been active in-game. (I acknowledge there's stuff behind the scenes, but your core function is to Lead Administrators, and you can't do that unless you're in-game.) Senior Admins: 11 Of the 11 admins, only 4 (36% activity) have been active in-game. Some haven't logged on in months at all. (One hasn't logged on the forums since October!) Game Admins: 16 Of the 16 admins, only 5 (31% activity) have been active in-game. (To be considered "Active" you must have a minimum of 30 hours spent IG per month. For context, some admins peak at 180 hours a month.) So when you look at the above figures for admins you have 11 active admins providing the community with 24 hours coverage 7 days a week. What this creates is admins becoming burnt out because they're carrying more work loads, people becoming unmotivated as a result of a lack of support, and this results in the figures dropping even more. I dread to think the state of the activity leading up to the new year. These 11 active admins are the same ones processing your player reports, refund requests, house changes, ban appeals and just about everything else on the forums! We're too afraid to loose inactive admins because "What does that fix?" it shows there's a consequence for not being active and pulling your weight, it allows space for development for those who are active to develop further into the admin team. It encourages growth and development for everyone. (Chain effect all the way down which in turn allows us to give a better service to our customers who are our community. 3. Faction Management I will be honest with this point, I do not see Illegal Faction Management as a functional service as it stands. It is not representative of the community, and rather a small circle that operates around it. You have so many voices in the illegal factions world that are experienced, giving the IFM the very solutions to the problems we're facing and instead of gripping onto those solutions and running with them to implement nothing is being done. Or we're shutting them down on the spot. There are Official Factions that went inactive after a week of getting it, remove them and make space the the numerous other factions that are absolute gems within the community. This needs to be done because once the illegal factions give up in their pursuit you'll have PD pursuing SD until one of the two decide to give up. Urgent and drastic leadership changes are needed in order to preserve the future of the illegal scene. I personally have been so put off from continuing my illegal roleplay knowing it will never lead anywhere. 4. Legal Faction Management One of the most catastrophic mistakes was the decision to move LFM from a full time person and move it under operations with no oversight from an experienced LEO role-player. Why a LEO role-player? The two biggest legal factions are PD and SD, and a great deal surrounds the two. Instead the role was merged across the responsibility of two people, one being the head of Illegal Factions - a clear conflict of interest. There is a huge issue with activity around the leadership of many of these legal factions and I have seen in the recent days a series of poor decisions being made about leadership changes. Faction Leaders need to be active in order to drive the faction, maintain and uphold standards and again provide the player base with a level of service! - Some days the server has 100+ players with 1 or 2 LEO's on, where is the realism in that? You then speak to the factions, and the response is, If faction management can't be asked why should I? Then you get nothing short of civil war on the server. Legal and Illegal factions are the most important entities on this server, and we're getting it so incredibly wrong. In both PD and SD we have absolutely exceptional leaders who aren't being given opportunities to lead simply because they're vocal and active and threaten the inactive leadership by outshining them, so instead of promoting them to run and help out, we're seeing them be supressed and ostracised to keep them at bay in order to safeguard certain individuals positions. Legal Faction Management needs to be owned by a Lead Admin that has experience in either PD or SD as a leader that can give them the full time attention they need, this doesn't mean dictating, this means obtaining feed back from the faction members, giving and equipping them to succeed. Right now we're seeing the polar opposite. 5. Pandering to the toxic few. There's a certain few individuals who keep popping up within these chats (Ban Evading) may I add who offer nothing of any value at all, and we're allowing their opinions and voices to plague and curtain the true issues we need to be addressing on this community. Some of these who I won't bother naming have been banned for a while for gross breaches of rules in-game and on the forums. Stop pandering to them and ignore their moot opinions. Finally my message to the community, a shit ton of effort goes into this community by Martin and Michael (prior to his departure) and I stand firmly beside Martin with this. He often is called lazy and that he doesn't care or he's not invested and simply wants money out of this etc etc...I've heard it all. I will defend him till kingdom come. I know how much he invests and how much he injects into this community to keep it running and he is let down by some of his staff, but also a community have a significant part to play here as well. Stop the toxicity, accept it will never be like 2015 or whatever era exists as being the golden age for LSRP for you, we're in 2024 going on 2025 and we're pushing through during different and challenging times around the world. For many this is a get-away from reality. Acknowledge the effort going into the community, appreciate the little things and be constructive and productive about the future of the community. Remember, pressing the red button and switching the community off once more is an easy option - we need to keep fingers away from that and start collectively driving this forward. If anyone has been offended (Staff or otherwise) by anything I have said, tough luck if the shoe fits lace that bitch up and own it. I own my flaws, and I will work on them but I will never give up on this community. Eren.2 points

You was the definition of a Karen administrator you took it to serious and this why people acted the way they did with you in admin sits. Kudos to your work towards LSRP tho Let's be real people, you voice your opinion and get banned. When has MMartin ever replied on threads like these before trying to re open our once beloved LSRP, only when its in the mud and needs players to play. The management / staff team didn't have the minerals, got people like @spectre in charge of IFM and he's always had his best interest at heart.. dealt with this guy in serbs did everything in his power to get my fac closed and now he's head of IFM lool its laughable I actually tried contributing and playing with City Circle Mafia was met with bullshit and made us all quit, you pushed good players away cause of your mediocre like I'm sorry but how is Carly Rose a lead admin on a server like lsrp its actually hilarious how much of a downfall this server has come to... like I said, RIP LSRP 2007-2021 you frauds are destroying my once beloved server Hope my man Raymond Ward is still around kudos to you gang been watching from the sidelines but shit I didn't think it could get this bad.2 points

Was asked to put my 2 cents in, so here goes. If you know me, you’ll know that my dedication to LSRP since relaunch (and for the last 14 years really) has been pretty strong. This changed in August this year. I was consistently doing the most in game reports, the most refund requests, the most insert menial task here, etcetera, all while leading a sub team and doing general admin shit on the side. My demotivation and burnout slowly started to set in because of a few things, I’m not going to name any names but if you know, you know. I don’t want this to be a bashing post, just a post from the heart. Bear in mind I’ve not touched LSRP really since August at this point. I’m going to say a majority of the admin team done absolutely fuck all to support others who actually cared about the community, whether this be in game reports or whatever. There was lead admins in game who would make a mockery of player reports in /a instead of actually dealing with them whilst I’m trying to deal with 2 reports and a refund at the same time, just to try and restore some faith in the team that were not lazy bastards and reports do get handled. My report statistics confirm this. I slowly got sick of this. Actually no, I quickly got sick of it. The knock on effect there is that why should I be bursting my balls while these guys sit in the same or higher positions than me whilst not giving a singular fuck, or abusing their positions to win RP situations and break rules and hack (I’m looking at you Xanakin, happy to name him as this is historic at this point) I then decided ok I’ll try help out in other ways. I joined the dev team and began writing and modifying scripts, ONLY based off of player suggestions. In my mind, doing what the players WANT was the right thing to do (within reason). The first “big feature” I worked on was company system enhancements, primarily company chat. I had most of the scripting done to then be let down like a Japanese pilot in the 40’s. I was simply told “nah FTC said no” this booked my piss and I argued and argued for it until they were basically told it’s happening whether you like it or not. This of course put a sour taste in my mouth too. The final straw for me which started my extensive absence was a result of a staff report, made against me by a lead admin at the time who didn’t like me because I publicly shamed him for his laziness every chance I could get. I got on one night after a few drinks and dealt with an admin sit (because would you look at that, the reporter didn’t bother to accept the report). Resolved the report pretty simply, all was good. The player who was reported was logging off and messing around so I chugged his ass into the dirt, revived him, refunded his weapon and that was that. No harm done, just a bit of fun! I find out the next day that I was going to be removed from the staff team for this ONE incident, despite me being the most active contributor (statistically) to the community at the time. This really set me off and I don’t think I’ve logged in to this day. I’ve really been trying to regain my spark for it but whenever I open up the SAMP client I take a totally legally acquired Xanax because I just can’t face it right now. The players for the most part are cool as fuck and you know who you are, but some of you are absolutely insufferable and I think you need a reality check. as those who have resigned have said, nothing is ever good enough. We could script the cure for cancer and someone would complain “but what about cerebral palsy?!” just my two cents, or dollars. Rambled on a bit here but here’s where I’m at right now. This isn’t a resignation, but just an explanation for my absence. I do love this place, but shit has to change and I’m not just talking about staff/management. I really do want this place to succeed man. Get a grip, everyone.2 points

I'm not getting involved with the drama posted here before me. My reply is to the topic's original title: "Can we bring back the old playerbase count?". Do you remember when first joined LS-RP, reader? It was exciting being thrown into a world with loads of people living their own virtual lives, you were meeting new people, joining new groups, you were having fun and learning more about the community. Everything was new and you were impressed by the big factions and businesses. We still get a lot of new players here, and this is still the experience that they have when they join the server for the first time. I'm in the unique position to be running such a big company in game, I speak to a lot of new players, probably more than almost anybody in this community, my company receives about 3-5 applications a day, a majority of them being from new players. We give them a chance to learn how to rp and get to know them. I often ask these new players how they found out about LS-RP, what they like, what they don't like, and how they feel about things overall. I hear positive feedback from nearly 100% of the new players I speak to. Unfortunately when asking old players the same questions you will receive negative feedback from most people. The new car smell has worn off. My point in saying this is because one of my main goals as a new lead admin is to create a strategy to bring in new players and improve the player count. New players that end up sticking around are generally some of the nicest and most motivated people that I get to talk to. With the way things are setup right now, LS-RP is not user friendly for new people, we don't have an up to date tutorial, the news paper is gone, it's complicated for new people to join factions or jobs, the /help system is outdated, our website does not have a clear home page, etc etc. These are all things that will be worked on with urgency after the 14.0.0 update, which is coming very soon. When asking new players how they found LS-RP, an overwhelming majority of them say that they found us via YouTube. With this information in hand, I have recently been in discussions with a couple of prominent content creators in our area of roleplay, such as Userone, in order to gain feedback on how we can work with them to make the content-creation experience better for those looking to do so in LS-RP. In the coming days we will be launching a content creator program where people can earn credits, additional support, and recognition for their videos from the staff team. Making LS-RP user friendly to new people and creating a better platform for content creators, hopefully we can bring in new players and retain them, upping the overall player count. We also have plans to have our server back on the server browser. You can also help with upping the player count by being more open to new players, you were a new player once and people probably helped you, you might even still remember those great people from back when you first joined. A lot of people are extremely dismissive to new players.2 points

SAN ANDREAS PAUL GRUMO, ALLEGED BOSS OF LOS SANTOS CRIME FAMILY, DIES AT 63 Booking photo of Paul Grumo following his arrest in 2021. (Los Santos Police Department) BY HAROLD DALEY Dec. 10 Updated 9:01AM PT LOS SANTOS — Paul Grumo, the alleged boss of the Los Santos crime family, was found dead in his Palomino Creek home Sunday morning. The 63-year-old died suddenly in his sleep, and authorities stated it is too early to comment on whether or not foul play factored into the death. Born and raised in Tampa, Grumo is believed to have got his start in organized crime working for the Valenti crime family’s long-time Florida-based caporegime Frank D’Armi as a bookmaker in the late 1980s. Grumo moved to Los Santos in 2013 when the Valenti family was in a state of turmoil with much of its upper echelon behind bars or on trial and deadly power struggles decimating the family further. Grumo has been linked to notorious Mafia bigwigs from Santino “The Butcher” Valenti’s inner circle such as the now-imprisoned Samuel “The Beak” Beccarini and Donald Rigazzi, who currently resides in Tampa. Grumo was released from prison in 2009 after serving a 5 year sentence for aggravated assault, but otherwise managed to stay under the radar of law-enforcement and out of the public eye for much of his criminal career, until rising to the top of the Valenti crime family in recent years. Grumo faced a lengthy trial before eventually being acquitted of money laundering charges last year. In stark contrast to Sonny Valenti—who through his bloody rise and high-profile trials became a celebrity and embraced a life of luxury, often seen wearing expensive suits, driving flashy sports cars, and lived in a Richman Hills mansion—Grumo largely managed to avoid headlines and exhibited a more humble lifestyle. Mafia pundits point to Grumo as being a key figure in the rebuilding of the Valenti crime family, ushering in an era of stability for an organization that had been in constant turmoil since the 2011 conviction of its original boss Sonny Valenti. The Valenti family, once thought to be completely defunct, began making significant inroads and a resurgence in the Los Santos underworld in 2018 and beyond, which came to the surface with their bloody feud with the renegade Bellantonio crime family in 2019 and 2020. Since then, there has been no violence linked to the Valenti family. Authorities believe that the rival organizations negotiated a peace treaty and cut all business ties, through the help of mediation from Bonanno family bigwig Joseph “The Barber” Uttaro. The impact Grumo’s death may have on the landscape of the Valenti family and Los Santos underworld remains to be seen. Some believe that Sonny Valenti still holds the top seat in the family from behind bars, but his level of influence in the family’s modern state of affairs is largely unknown. The Butcher’s earliest possible release date is 2036.1 point

The only people who have put any measurable amount of effort towards Rage ever since SA-MP's launch was a small task force which consisted of staff members (mostly 3, really), who weren't interested in SA-MP at all and would've left otherwise. Literally all focus of the leadership team, staff team, and development team with the exception of danut was and to be quite frank, still is on SA-MP. What you're saying about focus is simply not factual and it's hard to take at face value as there's plenty of channels to verify this - see blog post, discord's #snippets, discord's #updates, discord's #git and so on. What does this mean exactly? You're responding to a message asking for less vague examples with more vague filibuster. Within very recent history, we started letting Testers into virtually any teams and leadership positions. You've tester/s in FTC. We promoted people from tester straight to Lead when we saw potential and people taking charge. We expedited people from lower staff ranks to Lead in record time when we saw potential. The component you're missing is that in an overwhelming majority of the cases, after a person assumes position where they can make a difference after loudly and proudly proclaiming they'll be able to, they become inactive almost immediately. After achieving what people are after and being faced with gratification and validation, any and all efforts tend to go out the window. This brings a genuine attempt of trying to delegate work into a full cycle of finding a replacement after a replacement. God bless the exceptions, because we've had, or have some really hard working folks with us - but those get overwhelmed by the lack of people to support them so they face the good old burnout instead. What are you left with? On another hand, the moment you refuse to give someone what they're after, be it rank, position assignment, official status, or whatever, you're going to be met with a hellfire of how you're incompetent and refusing to give people chances they deserve. Maybe not everyone is fit for everything they dream up. This has been a theme I witnessed over the years of the community turning from driven to entitled. I do not necessarily disagree with any of the other points you've made, but I'd like to turn these two around. I've seen this community go through a lot of different stages and faces over the last nearly 13 years I've been a part of it. The reason why I took charge when Mow left the community to die and disappeared forever into Norwegian fjords in 2018, why I spent thousands and thousands of hours working on it, basically put my personal life on hold for months at a time, was for the way the players made you feel when you put in effort. There's nothing I loved more than working on a feature for days or weeks at a time, only to witness players use it ingame and genuinely appreciate it. This filled me with purpose, and eventually made me choose a career in software development. At that time, LS-RP was also much easier to run. It practically ran itself and as long as you put basic effort into it and kept the wheels greased, it was smooth sailing with the occasional hiccup. The community always came together when needed and moved onwards and upwards. None of this is the case anymore. It is no longer enough to grease the wheels and keep inertia to make the server succeed, it requires much more hard work and determination to push forward, innovate, take charge and keep us level with competition. This proves to be a challenge when the community is filled with toxicity and vultures that will eat you alive at any sign of a misstep. Honestly I don't even blame leadership (I use this term to encompass both Leads and Heads of) for not sticking around and active for long enough with the shit they've to deal with on every day basis. What once used to be a supportive community has over the years evolved into a shell of its former self with unchecked toxicity in every thread and channel you open, with unforgiving members who expect flawless and cater to their exact vision without any consideration for the bigger picture. So once again - who's gonna push hard, innovate and dedicate countless hours of free time if there's seemingly no way to be good enough, and the goalpost is always moving? There's a reason why more and more people give up after being given access to do what they want to do - and it may be a hard pill to swallow but it's the community. It takes two to tango and there's two sides to every coin. I may be biased but I don't think it's leadership or development or whatever else scapegoat that will save this community. This community needs to save itself. By driving yourselves (ourselves?) further apart from each-other, it doesn't really matter what effort anyone puts in. Players don't join the server because Mmartin or any other single person. They don't join for the script, or who's leading what. They don't decide to join and stick around for any of that. They stick around for you. I appreciate that my frustration is showing through. I also appreciate you might see this as a "No, it's the kids who are wrong!" moment. Maybe it is, and while you may not agree with me, that's honest to God what my experience is.1 point

Sadly LS-RP (and SA-MP in general) is no longer attractive as the only place you can find something like this on - GTA 5 has pretty much replaced it for a massive chunk of SA-MP players. SA-MP is no longer the only place to find a dynamic world to roleplay in like it was before GTA V servers were mainstream. I suspect the same will largely happen to GTA V servers once GTA VI servers start gaining popularity, though not to the same extent as GTA V is at least Los Angeles-based which will draw its own fanbase versus everything being Miami-based1 point
