  1. Facts still stand. SAMP has been nothing but a team deathmatch server with some HvH sprinkled around it.
  2. I'm comparing the two because for some reason, people still think SAMP can be salvaged. No. SAMP cannot be salvaged anymore. It was over a long time ago. If there's 20 people supporting SAMP, there's hundreds anticipating a RageMP release. Kick the dead horse all you want, but it ain't gonna revive.
  3. Right now, I'm looking at two servers. One has 339 players at the moment while the other has 13. Can you guess which one's the SAMP server? A certain minority might enjoy the nostalgia of it, but it still doesn't change the situation. Your average Joe does not want to play SAMP when they can do what they did with better graphics and better scripts.
  4. LSRP has developed the SAMP server to the point that there's just simply nothing else to do, and even if there was, there's not enough developers for the job. We're about to hit 2026. Let's accept that SAMP is obsolete and there is virtually no point spending resources into it. The SAMP server had its brain death years ago. The heart is beating, people get the illusion that SAMP might survive, but in reality, it died a long time ago. We hate to see the server we spent our childhoods on get closed, but conservatism of something that no longer has interest is just bad. I personally think that the SAMP server should just be allowed to have the peaceful death it rightfully deserves after decades of roleplay and stay as a wonderful memory in our heads instead of a last ditch effort gone wrong. RageMP is the only way to ensure LSRP's survival. This is just simple facts. If anything, LSRP was extremely delayed to make the move to RageMP. GTA5, in every single aspect, is superior to the literal team deathmatch server we had on SAMP since 2024. For more than five years, people have migrated from LSRP to GTAW, because it was just simply the same thing they had in LSRP, but with better scripts, better graphics, and better everything, yet for some reason we're still insisting on trying to bring back SAMP to life. The player counts speak for themselves. Your average Joe is no longer interested in a 20 year old "nostalgia" that is being clowned on by insiders, and outsiders. Being in LSRP used to mean something back in the days. It doesn't mean shit anymore because we just kept trying to revive a corpse that died in 2021 with false hopes and false promises. It's over guys. Just like everything in life, SAMP finally died, whether we like it or not.

    LS-RP Turns 18

    happy birthday lsrp
  6. orbit hello hop on 24T30
  7. Both PD and SD had a huge modding community and most of the stuff useful in the SA-MP server is still stuck there, including mods, guides and other important stuff. Do you guys have any plans to get the SAMP forums on a read-only state or move it to the new forums?
  8. What will happen to the old government faction forums? (sd.lsgov, pd.lsgov etc.) Will the previous faction members be allowed to access them anytime soon?

    September Update

It's really good to see you finally listening to people by getting more developers to work with you to reduce the workload on Imperium and Kane, but I honestly think you should be taking your time to also address the controversial (and maybe harsh) replies people have made.

    We need to talk ...

And why should we believe you, considering you already let the community down with many broken promises followed by a script that missed many basic features you'd expect after 2 years of development? If you want people to actually believe you this time, you come with solid work that shows you're still willing to contribute, or hand the development over to someone that's way more passionate. "Our team is burnt out" is not a fucking excuse. You wanna save the ship? Start by making sure people can actually roleplay (especially legal factions) and give us the scripts LSRPV was supposed to have from the start. Stop coming with the "Week 69" "Week Y" plans that are obviously going to get missed.
  11. Scripts we currently have are pretty good, along with the mods we currently have in the server. Of course, they still need improvements but they'll happen gradually. But, at the same time, I was honestly shocked to see the lack of scripts such as basic LEO commands or character customization options like makeup and tattoos. I also can't go without saying that some of the existing scripts don't seem like it was tested enough. Many of my friends called it a rushed release and I honestly can't blame them for why they came up to that assumption, due to lack of players and scripts.
