What features do you want to see on LSRP:V?
NealZed replied to Nunwithagun's topic in General Discussions
Definitely fix the big errors the server had on open day, the constant crashing/server dying, constant lag and DDoS issues, invest in the server security, fix the server's cash not downloading on the RAGE launcher itself, forcing people to download it on discord is a big let go for players who want stuff on the spot (although i think it's a little fixed now, still buffers whenever there is a new update forcing players to re-download all of the server cash again from discord) A big update on the drug system, I'm not sure if this was changed yet but the drugs on the V server were pretty useless honestly beside for the aesthetics and roleplay material, they give zero advantages to people. To this day we still don't have essential accessories on the server like chains, rings and stuff, add more mappings, more clothes, the clothing menu on LSRP is 10 times better than the one on W. Keybinds are bugged a little, set default keybinds for like car engine, lock/unlock stuff instead of the player setting them up manually. The phone needs a little revamp, beside making calls it's pretty much useless, which is a shame considering the possibilities there is on GTA V and what people can do with phones unlike SAMP (You can't even take a proper picture with your phone..) More mapping objects and textures: we are still stuck with the vanilla objects, and you can't even change textures, leaving you stuck with sometimes colors or textures you don't even want just cause there is no other options. Trucking: I would say remove the whole forklift part, I don't see how that adds up to the RP, it's buggy sometimes and it's very repetitive, more trucking routes with maybe better pays now that the economy is a little less strict than it used to be. Fishing: althought it's great, I would think like in the Samp version, maybe add boat fishing with better tarifs and better catches, you get the same thing everytime on the pier and with the "the more you fish the less you get" thing they added which they thought was a bright idea for some reason (I hope it's removed now, ew) you get jack shit for fishing for like 3 hours straight. More passive-script jobs: bring back the mechanic job maybe, we're stuck with 3 scripted jobs: trucking, garbage man and fishing. give players the possibility to create their own passive jobs with a system that helps them instead of the same old jobs like working at a bar or a cafe bla bla. Def advertising: Unlike SAMP which is old and boring, adveritising for a GTA V server def will attract more players to it, avoid the classic let's just post content from our community only and create zero of our own, people like watching them, but they have no clue on maybe how to join or what it takes, i would suggest create video guides and presentations of the server, videos of updates and post them on the socials. And lastly Invest your time in the project: This is a direct message to the LSRP management or the people who can call shots in here, you simply cannot expect success if you open the server, invest your time for the first month or so and then vanish, this will never work, the server needs constant supervision, updates, content and so on, Just look at W and how its owner is so invested in the project and that led him to probably living off the server's income only, if you are not willing to do that, then I don't see the point of really re-launching the RAGE server. This is what i came up with for now, will update if i get more ideas for revamps. -
The RAGE server died because management weren't pulling the same efforts they were doing right now, they were sticking to their ideogolies of harsh economy, something fruit mentioned that I believe had a great impact on the Rage's downfall is that you need to download the server cash from discord not directly from the launcher, not to mention the 300 features they said will be on launch that simply weren't leaving us with a half finished server with alot to overcome and people chose the easy option a.k.a an already finished server with a big player base. Unfortunately the efforts being currently made by the admins & management team should've been done at the launch of the RAGE server, and right now SAMP is a lost cause so these efforts are not really worth it, it's been said way too many times, people came back for the nostalgia, and once that feeling wears off, well they'll go back to their usual lives and ditch the server. it's the harsh truth like Kane said. I will give the example of RCRP, i happen to join on early re-launch until its downfall, it's the same process that happened there is currently happening right now, it all started with a topic about changes bla bla, then turned into straight admin team exposes (what's currently happening here) I remember the SASD was mentioned as well for some reason, what's probably different is that RCRP management took less measures than LSRP's which led to its shut down way quicker, but LSRP is heading that path whether we like it or not. and anyone who thinks different is simply in denial and we'll probably see in some months from now. Bottom line, the old LSRP PB is not coming back and it's not even something to do with the server itself (some did probably leave due to server issues, not all) but simply that well at some point it doesn't feel like it used to when we were kids

The SAMP server will die down eventually, it's doomed to happen no matter how good of updates or community engagement you do, it is unfortunately a very limited gameplay/script that we found fun when we were like 14/15 yo, and a dead game and if you think otherwise, well you are delusional, because just like every old game that still have online servers running, it's a very niche community that's maybe feeling a little nostalgic and wants to maybe re-try some old feelings back, or simply an overly attached girlfriend that refuses to let go of a 2004yo game and move on, you will not attract new players to a dead game, the RP hype is simply GTA V and we can clearly see it with the biggest text based RP server in the market right now reaching a 1000 players on a good day and not going under 700 on a bad one. I just hope management switch focus back on the RageMP server again before it's too late and this little SAMP server hype dies down eventually, that was the plan from the beginning, and that plan should have never changed, now we have a deserted RageMP server and a slowly dying SAMP one.

I'm just going to say my opinion and only my opinion, i recently stopped playing LSRP, been a big defender of the server and i probably will continue to defend it as one of the best RP servers i have played on and i never gave up on the project, not until recently, my RP revolves around civilian RP, i manage a nightclub, i'm out of business simply because i can't find staff to hire, my RP needs other players, and i won't change my RP well simply because i feel comfortable RPing as a civilian, unfortunately due to lack of interest no new players are joining the server now, it's just the usuals and everyone is already established, impossible to find new players to hire, my company had 20 staff member at the start, from security to bartenders to DJs, all of it, we even used to give other businesses our staff, but everyone simply stopped playing for whatever reasons it's their choice, and now company/civilian side is very dead, we can only see small businesses opening recently that doesn't require alot of staff members (pit stop/tavern) just small bars, the last big venue that was standing was Dalton Royal with the serbs simple because their faction is huge and they can cover all staff, so i started going broke, and stopped playing (not gonna farm a scripted job for hours, i rather talk to people than do that but even now, you can't find people to talk to, it's just the usuals at every business opening) Ow and downloading a 5gb file everytime there is an update is not happening, no wonder new people can't join, they can't even download the server data, not all of us use discord to know that you need to download the files from lsrp website (sorry if somethings i said aren't clear, i'm not the best at explaining myself) -
Radical Measures to combat the Low & Decreasing Playerbase.
NealZed replied to SCANDALOUZ's topic in General Discussions
I think the main issue with LS-RP is it's not attracting new players, it's the same let's say 100 to 200 players playing daily, while everyone is setup either in illegal factions or legal ones, or even solo RP, there is no development going on without new players, you may see the issue right now but most legal civilian companies/factions struggle with recruitments and finding new players to develop their enterprise, it's the same 100 players playing daily on the server, it's a good thing, don't get me wrong, it's always good having a loyal PB, but the server still need new players, at some point, these 100 LSRP loyals will get bored or stop playing for personal reasons, whatever, then the PB decreases, it's what's happening right now, the server started with a constant 200 players, now it's roughly 100 and it will keep decreasing unless the management figure out solutions to attract new players, the same thing was happening with LSRP samp which led to its closure, try it now, log into the server and try to find 1 player with the level 1, you won't, everyone is atleast level 3, which are the old LSRP players that never quit on this project, and I'am one of them, I will never give up on the server, but rather try and help by showcasing the problem, I'm probably not the best on giving solutions so I'll leave it to the experts, lot of civilian factions/companies are dying due to no new players getting into the server. no new players=no job seekers/ no job seekers=company dies down as there is no one that's willing to work (not talking about LEO factions and GOV ones) -
All cool n that But i'll beat ur ass ina fight tho
