Posts going at peoples throats will be removed as its nothing constructive to this post. I gave my final warning when I re-opened this topic, I do not want to close it as I want to have an open forum. If you've nothing to post that isn't going to help in the long run, close your tab or your browser and continue about your day. No one here wants to listen to it.4 points

To address the main complaints of HOLF (which people are calling LFM), these complaints are because of the current choice of the current Sheriff, previous Sheriff and because I didn't let SD have free reign with Sultans etc. To address Azuko's complaint seeing as it was the first one I saw, the conflict of interest rule he suggested, I spoke to Michael/Jack at the time and they OK'ed the suggetion being closed due to the fact it's a staff suggestion, not a player one and should be suggested in the staff area over the player area. Whilst it does affect players, it's also down to the admin team not fully understanding the rule. He said I was friendly with Iudex and co and the pastebin he posted and quoted question he was asked, he doesn't realise it wasn't myself who asked this question and it was Michael who had made the group PM between people involved in a faction complaint and us (Michael and I) to get a bigger picture and the outcome of the faction report was decided by Michael and I so there wasn't just one single person involved in the outcome. As for him saying I was forced to ban Iudex, again, he's mistaken. It was Jack who had banned Iudex due to the clip circling around so there's no protecting anyone. Other's currently not happy with HOLF are due to the fact when Iudex was banned, a replacement was picked which wasn't them and the ideas they had weren't heard because the choice had been made already, again, not just one person decided and it was mentioned to the other leads and also Michael and I agreed on the replacement. People weren't happy and said he was inactive etc and weren't even going to give him a chance to prove he's worth being Sheriff and wanted him removed and them placed in the spot, basically. Before Iudex was Sheriff, there were almost no complaints, Orbit had decided Iudex was to replace Brasi because Brasi had a lot of IRL things happening and since then, anyone who had taken the mantle of HOLF before it was absolved by (A)HoOps would of gotten the same amount of hate. Someone in SD said it great to me in DMs "People will always find something to complain about regardless of who you picked". For the post by Flim, Martin and badhbh was informed of the decision to close the thread so it's not like it was only my decision. Both of them would of had a perfect opportunity to say something should they felt like it was something worth discussing. Flim, you said that you sent me a PM, yes. You also asked if I could join TS and you were told I'm on LOA with a sickness and then proceeded to say "OK since you can't join TS for whatever reason" even though you honestly knew the reason why I wanted a PM instead and why you didn't get a response as I believe I told you in the IFT discord, I was on LOA at the time of reading. You also asked a bunch of questions such as "Are these factions running optimally? Are they supported by the current LFM; have they made steps to improving the game surrounding them?" - All Legal Factions are running optimally, regardless of what you think. They get all the support they need should they ask for it and aren't held back from doing things they want within reason so long as it's not something that'll damage their reptutation/server standards etc. If a legal faction needs anything to improve them, they can request for it. If they believe they need script additions, they can request it, mapping additions/changes? They can request. If they don't request it, we won't be going around just adding things willy nilly based on our opinions of what they need. Overall, it's honestly so tiring to see people constantly complaining over something such as SD choices when it's not just been a single person decision ever since Orbit left the staff team. People do have geninue concern but it's minor concerns and they believe it's something which has contributed to the decline of the playerbase when it's the community as a whole. Martin, Michael and Cake said it perfectly, no matter what happens in this community that staff do, nothing will be good enough and for people who come on this game in their spare time to try to have fun, the amount of abuse etc people get is highly demotivating for anyone if they aren't getting paid to take the abuse. The only way to possibly bring back the old players is by changing yourself first and stop being toxic, finding anything to complain about and stop being entitled, thinking you deserve something because you asked for it. When LS-RP was made, I doubt people were so entilted back then and it flourished then and every single year, people got more entilted because "I'm known on the server" or "I'm friends with XYZ". Find a group to play with, enjoy your time on the server because you make the community.3 points

Heya, LSFD leader here for the last couple of years! The playerbase has always reflected the amount of members the LSFD has. When there'd be literal hundreds of players on the server back in 2015, there were almost 100 players in the LSFD. As the playerbase declined so did the member count. Server's at 100? I'd say LSFD is at maybe 8 off the top of my head if you don't include leadership. LSFD recruitment is fairly easy. I'd say a ten year old can probably pass the exams. We give you the manuals, you get multiple choice questions and call it a day. All anyone has to do is apply and make sure they can write English well in-game with a quick interview. However, medical roleplay is not for everyone! It can get repetitive and boring. For example, you're on duty and you just had back to back to back to back to back to back gunshot wound calls, you try to make the roleplay as unique as possible but it's still repetitive and soon enough, you get burnt out. Or you know what? You joined, you realized medical roleplay is just not your cup of tea so you resign. Or... life happens and you have to resign! Anyone who ever complains to me about the lack of members in the LSFD, I'll respond with, "You're a part of the problem! Be a part of the solution and give it a try." Recruitment is open buuut... we're not here to force people to join. If you want to join, do it! We're a welcoming tight group that is always there for one another. Also, if you look at the current playerbase, everyone's either a cop or illegal. I wouldn't point the blame on Legal Faction Management either because again, it's not for everyone. As for other pointers you brought up: We do in-game events when we can, we attend any that are in the works whether we're there because it was the 9/11 event to stand there and look pretty or because there's a racing/wrestling event so we're there for medical back-up, etc. We do have fires from time to time but it depends on who's available and online, and what led to it, however, I'll speak for most of the LSFD on this one, we do not like OOCly orchestrated fires! It removes that realistic feeling of it and I'd rather attend an actual call with people that are calling 911 instead of some fake Jane Doe that's trapped in the building. Recruitment fairs? We've attended those! As for paychecks, the lowest amount you'll ever get is $5,000 per hour but we typically have money in the bank that makes it higher than that. Lastly, new people should not be immediately operating the ship on their lonesome. We have our system in place and have made it way too easy for people to move up and pass the probationary stage. In the end, medical roleplay is not easy and not for everyone BUT we are PRESENT and THERE to teach you along the way! Just because you do not SEE what's going on doesn't mean it isn't happening! And there's my two cents. 😁2 points

Do you stand by this, honestly, let's look at how active FD is at the minute; 0 active players 99% of the time in that faction. What actions have you taken to improve the situation there? Sheriff's Department, yesterday at peak playing hours, there was active pings and requests for people to get in game because they were lacking numbers to be operational as a functioning legal department, when the week before Iudex getting banned we was executing H-RAWs, an active gang injunction and executing SEB property raids in collaboration with OSSB. So, by directly investigating the recent changes that SD has had, its quite obvious that a major change has impacted the motivation of the majority who stood to uphold the remaining SD members. Especially when it was near collapse, and with the constant complaints and uproar, I think it would smart to consider the actions you've taken and begin to investigate whether or not your actions have directly improved the server or served as a detriment. I don't even want to use this thread as a question time for you Izumi, but it's at the point where the players who've dedicated unfathomable hours to the game, forums, etc are the ones being left out to dry instead of listening to their concerns and having back and forth dialogues. None of what I say is slander; but mere factual information from the experiences I've had on the server, forums and political areas of LSRP, and I will continue to try and highlight the problems and where I can; provide solutions until it's in a better state. So instead of saying the community is toxic, consider it a free service when individuals like myself come along and actually question those who are arguably doing all the donators, developers and community members who play a disservice by taking questionable actions and are afraid to break process where common sensee is needed. Did you actually take time to reflect on what it was the people of the sheriff's department where complaining about? Or instead throw them aside and use the same filler argument that it was the right decision. When the entirety of the current active SD disagreed? lol what? Your current track record for legal factions is as follows - A dead FD - A hacking sheriff - A inactive sheriff who hadn't logged into the forums for 2 weeks prior to being appointed - who hadnt been in game since 8th of November prior to being appointed. As to rub salt in the wound, the current SD is on the brink of what is arguably collapse, so you see my argument? The pattern is clear, and my thread relating to voting in a leader for LFM removes the bias entirely, as the community decides the leader, it's a no brainer.2 points

The Caccia-Licata Crew, once tightly connected to the Chicago Outfit's Cicero Crew, had a strong foothold in Las Venturas. Frank Caccia, known as "Frankie C," laid the groundwork for the operation, with Richard Licata taking things to the next level. Licata was more than just muscle; his business sense turned the crew into a dominant force, especially in loansharking and low-level gambling. Under their leadership, the crew thrived, bringing in tough recruits from the streets of Las Venturas, enforcing a hierarchy where status and loyalty determined advancement. Caccia and Licata were the driving forces, but the true enforcers were guys like Anthony Galigano, who ran extortion and illegal gambling rings with ruthless efficiency. Edward Petorino handled the drug side, distributing narcotics through home invasions and street-level deals. But by 2019, the crew started to crumble. A long-running investigation known as Operation Capricorn started tightening its grip, and the crew was hit with RICO charges for drug trafficking, extortion, fraud, and a laundry list of violent crimes. Caccia, Licata, Galigano, and Petorino were all taken down, dealing a devastating blow to the crew’s power. Once they were arrested, the crew that had once were a dominant force in Las Venturas was left fractured, with key players behind bars and the operation shattered, and even one victim, Edward Petorino gunned down in a drug-deal gone wrong and low level drug dealer Thomas Gaucini turning informant. The posse' once-vast network is a shadow of its former self. Caccia and Licata are still active, but they're operating on a much smaller scale—focused on bookmaking, loansharking, and fraud in Las Venturas and even Los Santos. The glory days are long gone. However, remnants of the crew still linger, propped up by associates of the Chicago Outfit. Steven Delaney, an old Outfit associate that avoided the indictments, is now running a payday loan business in Las Venturas, using it as a front for high-interest loans and money laundering. On the other side of the state, Savino Moone, aka "G-Money," has moved to East Los Santos, where he runs a drug trafficking operation, using his connections with the Philadelphia Black Mob to distribute cocaine and heroin. The Caccia-Licata Crew may have fallen, but their influence hasn’t disappeared entirely. While they’re nowhere near the powerhouse they once were, remnants of their network are still alive, with some of the same players continuing to operate within the criminal underworld. The remnants of the crew have adapted, shifting to smaller-scale operations, but their presence remains in the streets of Las Venturas and Los Santos. New figures are emerging, and the landscape of organized crime in the region continues to evolve as old connections resurface and fresh opportunities arise.2 points

The server has slowly lost its charm for the past few months. Maybe its because of the general negativity on the server, or maybe its because I'm nostalgic for yesteryears. Eitherway I can't imagine how a new player would find much enjoyment playing on the server in its current state. It's important to work on improving the experience for new players in parallel to the other issues laid out on this thread. For example, its quite often that the server assets won't download when a player first logs onto the server. You'd have to manually download the assets by going on the server's discord, typing !cache and then downloading the assets from there. I can't imagine the probability of a player going through all these hoops is high, let alone knowing what to even do when this issue arises. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Let's say a player manages to finally download the server assets and spawn in game for the first time. Immediately after a few minutes, they're kicked for having a clown skin. Again, this is easily preventable by having a skin selection menu on a player's first spawn. The skin change section on the UCP also has some issues. You have tons of skins who's models are not visible, and for some who's models are visible, actually turn out to be the CJ skin when you spawn ingame. This is not to mention the barrage of error messages that you see as you navigate through the skins. All of this doesn't give a premium image of the server. Variety in terms of businesses also needs improvement. Currently we see clubs, restaurants and bars open and that's it. I see @Slice doing something unique on the server with LFA, but its not healthy to have only one person carry the weight of the whole business sphere. There's only so much you can do at clubs/restaurants/bars before it becomes stale and repetitive. The way management can remedy this issue is by auctioning or leasing off ready-made businesses, rather than having the same club/bar interiors being auctioned/leased. I have expressed my desire to furnish these interiors for the server before and I still volunteer to do so. The paperwork and bureaucracy required for certain things also needs to be reduced. It's already confusing enough to navigate the forums because of the RAGE and SAMP sections being on the same domain, so its definitely not ideal when I have to fill out essays for a simple request. Similarly processing times for requests also need to be reduced. Like I mentioned previously, motivation comes and goes in waves. If a request takes weeks to process, with the only response being "We'll look into this" in between, you can't fault the players for binning their ideas and moving on. The issue likely stems from the unnecessary bureaucracy that involves the management currently. We have so many teams and heads for x y and z. The side effect of this is that if the head of a team is absent or unavailable, its a blocker for anybody that is dependent on them. Its time to realize that the current management structure was only viable pre-closure. Now that we've grown up, have responsibilities and can be unavailable frequently, its time to flatten the hierarchy. Share responsibilities between different staff members rather than consolidating power with one person. Right now if the Head of Auctions or Head of Companies is on a leave, it affects everybody. A de-complication of the hierarchy is necessary to keep wait times low and the player base content. The server needs to get out of this rut and start freshening up things. Bringing back the billboard system, auctions, leasing etc. would be a good start to bring a sense of refreshment on the server. Additionally, the forums have generally also been very inactive. Apart from the faction threads and this topic, everything else feels like a ghost town. It feels like the community doesn't want to interact with each other anymore, which is odd because even the months leading up to the server's closure in 2021, there was still some activity on the forums. Nobody posts any guides, off topic threads, general discussions topics or much of anything else at the moment. I think part of the issue is that its difficult to keep track of conversations on the forums unless you explicitly look for topics that you want to keep an eye on, which isn't very user friendly or conductive to activity. I strongly suggest that the "View your posts" feature from the old forums be added to these forums, as that option was the sole reason most of us could even keep track of any conversations or remind us to check up on certain threads that we had commented on previously.2 points

Imma touch upon this as a Faction Leader for FD. Most definitely not. Entry "barrier" is an application, in-game interview lasting maybe 10-15 minutes, an NPC'd academy and a short exam. Should you pass all that? 3 patrols in total as a probie and you get to do your own thing on an ambulance. The idea that FD becomes a noob faction as portrayed before definitely won't happen as long as I'm a part of faction leadership. Not to mention, FD has an open recruitment constantly now. Need I put the bar lower cause people can't be fucked doing a simple application and a simple process? I don't even want to entertain this point in all honesty lol cause this must be the most brain rot reply I've seen thus far. And this thread is full of them. Most if not all are done. Again, I'll sound like an asshole, but just cause you didn't see them, doesn't mean they don't happen. Everything FD has done change wise recently is lowering the bar. And we aren't gonna lower it any further. And, imma end this off that it's the community that needs fixing, not FD, nor any other faction. A faction's job isn't to spoon feed anyone.1 point

I swear this is coming from a guy who wants HSIU and SASD back? Mind you own business, get the fact we're in 2024 (soon to be 2025) in your head, maybe you'd have more fun in-game tbh. The whole FD is dead comes from the fact that we can spend 10 hours in-game and get 2 calls. Even you'd get burnt out and not wanna login. Hit me up when the illegal factions (and sometimes legal btw) stop accepting death cause they can't catch an L, maybe I'd get FD active when they have something to do in-game.1 point

What's funny is there are plenty of scripts (weed growing for example) out in the 'verse that could be used at the very least for inspiration in creating one for LS-RP.1 point

Not entirely; discussions regarding planting weed; drug addiction and drug tolerance began back in June and KUnderwood was having plenty of momentum surrounding it; once he left almost all development surrounding IFM asking for features seemingly fell dead in the water. Supposedly Michael was working on getting those drug addiction scripts in. But yeah. It’s now December. This is why I was rather always skeptic around priorities. But understanding developers will only want to code something they A) are motivated by B) have the knowledge to actually develop it with C) have a clear and effective plan/solution to develop so I think your idea that it’s all bullshit seems like a bit of a kick and scream approach as apposed to dissecting where the sentiment has come from.1 point

We don't want this to lean towards being a generic faction so we will have our own personal twist. If you've found the thread interesting and want to participate and join us on this journey then we expect you to know that you will have to develop a character and focus on bringing out the realism aspect in the environment. Any information regarding sending CK permission, the faction rules, backstory & more can be found inside the Discord channel which you can join by clicking the link below. DISCORD1 point

I second this and wanna add on to it; the new, and even returning player experience is terrible right now. You have to jump through hurdles to properly spawn yourself in, then even after you manage to get over such a feat, you spawn at an airport miles away from the active play zone. None of the vehicles there are rentable for a new player without a license, and taxi drivers are basically non existent apart from maybe two people on the server. This alone sours up the experience, and first impressions matter a lot here as they tend to influence the way you look at other things. Let's say you overcome this and actually make it into Idlewood - there's a high chance that your first roleplay experience will be with idiots like Toby Broakskrup or James Northern, who've been on this server since relaunch and somehow aren't banned yet despite being in 10 admin situations a day. A watch list or a player note system of sorts for admins should've been in effect to combat such cretins. https://i.imgur.com/cqZC9tt.png (Pictured: Search results in the player reports forum.) The admin team should also have a more nuanced outlook on heavy roleplay and be able to point out a pest even if they aren't breaking one of the hyper-specific rules. A majority of the current team lacks this heavy RP type of thinking, from what I've experienced: the context of a situation in most cases doesn't matter, and you can get away with things like blatant dm if you wipe your mouth with an excuse like "He said he'll kill me!!!" or "He followed me and hit my car :/!!!" https://i.imgur.com/JK8vhhh.png (Pictured: A confused administrator's verdict to a scenario where I was ran up on and shot by a previously inactive player over petty discord beef, after it was recognized by both me and the administrator that the shooting was DM and OOC motivated.) A widespread lack of quality control is another thing I've seen drive people away, it's just hard for some people to take this server seriously when you go into the factions section and read an unofficial thread for more than five minutes. To put it on record before someone goes at me about it; I don't think screenshots reflect a faction's roleplay, but seeing who's unable to arrange text on a 800x600 canvas is a great litmus test. IFM and LFM needs to enforce stricter quality control when it comes to faction threads, and if you're one of those people who can't edit a screenshot and would argue that "it's too much work" or "It wasn't like this back in the day when rp was only in game!!!" - you simply don't need to have a faction thread. It takes a toll on your hairline and gives the server a bad image. Circling back to the standpoint of a new / returning player: This situation makes it harder to find yourself your own circle to rp with. A good portion of the factions being mediocre at best and dog shit at worst, you'd probably give up after reading through 3 threads. Let's say you're persistent and get back in game hoping to be pleasantly surprised with one good roleplay scenario. You might decide to go into an open business, where you'll see people brawling a bunch of Roze Enterprise security guards simply for doing their job. https://i.imgur.com/lx6sSSn.png (Pictured: roleplay that I've witnessed within 20 minutes of being in an open business yesterday.) If none of my previous hypotheticals made the potential new player quit, then at this point he'd surely be gone, or turn to trolling because it's stupidly easy to get away with and arguably more entertaining than anything else the server has to offer at first glance. To end my post on a more positive note and not be a negative nancy - I truly believe the server can keep running for the next few months if the admin team stays on top of things in terms of transparency, which they've been doing with the recent removal of Scuba Stef being a shining example. 120 isn't a bad number and with it the city still feels more populated than on gta:w with its 800 players. The real activity issue is that these 120 players might as well be bots, because they don't contribute anything to the landscape when it's not time to fuck around. I believe stricter quality control would push forth better roleplay, and with it a diverse landscape of options for new players. Afterthought: Management shouldn't be afraid to put their foot down when it comes to people like the ones I've mentioned. The possible gap in the playerbase created by this will very likely patch up to an extent with qualified people. There's tens of dudes in faction discords right now who are just reluctant to log on because they don't want their immersion broken by dog shit rp. Brilliant rpers who just don't see the current state of LSRP as a good landscape to build stories on.1 point

The RAGE server died because management weren't pulling the same efforts they were doing right now, they were sticking to their ideogolies of harsh economy, something fruit mentioned that I believe had a great impact on the Rage's downfall is that you need to download the server cash from discord not directly from the launcher, not to mention the 300 features they said will be on launch that simply weren't leaving us with a half finished server with alot to overcome and people chose the easy option a.k.a an already finished server with a big player base. Unfortunately the efforts being currently made by the admins & management team should've been done at the launch of the RAGE server, and right now SAMP is a lost cause so these efforts are not really worth it, it's been said way too many times, people came back for the nostalgia, and once that feeling wears off, well they'll go back to their usual lives and ditch the server. it's the harsh truth like Kane said. I will give the example of RCRP, i happen to join on early re-launch until its downfall, it's the same process that happened there is currently happening right now, it all started with a topic about changes bla bla, then turned into straight admin team exposes (what's currently happening here) I remember the SASD was mentioned as well for some reason, what's probably different is that RCRP management took less measures than LSRP's which led to its shut down way quicker, but LSRP is heading that path whether we like it or not. and anyone who thinks different is simply in denial and we'll probably see in some months from now. Bottom line, the old LSRP PB is not coming back and it's not even something to do with the server itself (some did probably leave due to server issues, not all) but simply that well at some point it doesn't feel like it used to when we were kids1 point

SAN ANDREAS PAUL GRUMO, ALLEGED BOSS OF LOS SANTOS CRIME FAMILY, DIES AT 63 Booking photo of Paul Grumo following his arrest in 2021. (Los Santos Police Department) BY HAROLD DALEY Dec. 10 Updated 9:01AM PT LOS SANTOS — Paul Grumo, the alleged boss of the Los Santos crime family, was found dead in his Palomino Creek home Sunday morning. The 63-year-old died suddenly in his sleep, and authorities stated it is too early to comment on whether or not foul play factored into the death. Born and raised in Tampa, Grumo is believed to have got his start in organized crime working for the Valenti crime family’s long-time Florida-based caporegime Frank D’Armi as a bookmaker in the late 1980s. Grumo moved to Los Santos in 2013 when the Valenti family was in a state of turmoil with much of its upper echelon behind bars or on trial and deadly power struggles decimating the family further. Grumo has been linked to notorious Mafia bigwigs from Santino “The Butcher” Valenti’s inner circle such as the now-imprisoned Samuel “The Beak” Beccarini and Donald Rigazzi, who currently resides in Tampa. Grumo was released from prison in 2009 after serving a 5 year sentence for aggravated assault, but otherwise managed to stay under the radar of law-enforcement and out of the public eye for much of his criminal career, until rising to the top of the Valenti crime family in recent years. Grumo faced a lengthy trial before eventually being acquitted of money laundering charges last year. In stark contrast to Sonny Valenti—who through his bloody rise and high-profile trials became a celebrity and embraced a life of luxury, often seen wearing expensive suits, driving flashy sports cars, and lived in a Richman Hills mansion—Grumo largely managed to avoid headlines and exhibited a more humble lifestyle. Mafia pundits point to Grumo as being a key figure in the rebuilding of the Valenti crime family, ushering in an era of stability for an organization that had been in constant turmoil since the 2011 conviction of its original boss Sonny Valenti. The Valenti family, once thought to be completely defunct, began making significant inroads and a resurgence in the Los Santos underworld in 2018 and beyond, which came to the surface with their bloody feud with the renegade Bellantonio crime family in 2019 and 2020. Since then, there has been no violence linked to the Valenti family. Authorities believe that the rival organizations negotiated a peace treaty and cut all business ties, through the help of mediation from Bonanno family bigwig Joseph “The Barber” Uttaro. The impact Grumo’s death may have on the landscape of the Valenti family and Los Santos underworld remains to be seen. Some believe that Sonny Valenti still holds the top seat in the family from behind bars, but his level of influence in the family’s modern state of affairs is largely unknown. The Butcher’s earliest possible release date is 2036.1 point
