  2. I was in LEO RP from 2012 - 15, then 2016 again. Then I rejoined for COVID IN 2020, and rejoined lastly in 2024 as soon as the server started. I lasted a week before I resigned. LEO RP is not fun. Convoy simulator. Pyongyang Traffic Lady Simulator, but instead of directing traffic you're guarding a SWAT scene. You can't BOX IN VEHICLES ANYMORE!! So silly. Can't do **Desc Playername** because apparently it's metagame and people don't understand that LS-RP is not real life, no wonder why nobody bothers investigating crimes anymore more it's too much hassle. No one uses APB's anymore to look for suspects because if you can't **desc. whatts the point. As a beat cop, what's the point of taking 911's. Supervisory ranks all they can do is suspend now, can barely give out permission for exciting things. Can't equip MP5, M4 or shotgun without certification. Can't be given permission to use weapons like in the old days, can't take out tyres, taser limitation... bring back the stark industry tasers, /tackle is stupid.. bring back the Sultan for traffic units at least, try to have a bit of fun in a low number team speak situation and you'll get a shadow play video of yourself talking in your mailbox the next day no effort to even reach out to the person, oh yeah opportunity to do admin punishment lets go!! , bring back bait car situations. Please can we talk about the fucking PAPERWORK WORK! Dare you try to touch the rank of Sergeant, not only do you have to hit 1 ABS you have to do a bunch of paperwork that only increases over the ranks to prove your self. It's too much work, ever time a new head it's like fuck it, I'm Sheriff of Chief now let's just add a bunch of BS to prove how different i can make things. Oh because I do so much work, you all HAVE to to do as much as I do. No space for the casual but good RPer who wants to have fun. This leaves the people at the top making the decisions are the most dedicated, hardcore, committed, try hard players, but they forget that the majority of people do not have that mentality most people just want to have fun and escape from real life, honestly I blame the American Contingent of top LEO players .. anyways What's the point of coming home from school / work log on and you've logged onto another job. Yeah some shit were unreasltic, but it made people log in everyday and created loads of new RP Sitations. Many LEO Rpers would leave LEO RP, try out illegal side of things and love it or maybe they'd run a nightclub or other avenue of legal roleplay. Transfer to DoC or FD. I even made and alt and had a blast with illegal RP. At least if TRU/SEB - SWAT hoovering up all the action was tolerable because you had other outlet of fun for everyone, but now what's the point unless you want to play standing simulator for 1 and a half hours. ITS JUST NOT FUN. Dare I say that because LEO Rpers are mostly the type who will be able to do a lot of paperwork, meaning they're mostly the type to apply for tester and admin giving them more influence on the server as they rank up. IDK i'm just a humble player. Give people the chance to have fun and it will allow their creative side to come out. that my POV. However, LEO RP will not improve too much group think, too much old face. Maybe start doing a poll too see what the majority of people want? IDK

  6. Why are championship fights happening in some slum gym in the middle of South Central when there are active casinos? The problem isn't the lack of active or unique businesses but that most business owners have no idea as to what they're trying to portray. Travelling to Las Venturas a few nights per week to pay $5k on the door, have some level 2 spam /dice, and then leave 10 minutes later is not conducive to maintaining a good standard of roleplay in 2024. When Talarum, Burger, et al. started up The Visage it was an event to go to the casino, not just because there was more to do than /dice blackjack but because they deliberately set out to establish a particular standard of roleplay from end to end. Restaurant. Hotel. Spa. All fully staffed by capable roleplayers that had been trained IC prior to the opening and meticulously organised. It was a monumental effort whose own lofty goals contributed to its sporadic openings and the logistical nightmare that comes with trying to arrange anything on SA-MP a week ahead of time but that made each opening all the more special. I just don't bother going to 90% of /cad openings anymore. The same stale bartender roleplay. The same brick shithouse robocop bouncers. Some completely out of place garbage blaring over XM radio. When business owners stop using businesses as a way to make easy cash through the stupid and archaic entry fee script and actually start caring about what it is they're trying to do, I will bless them with my custom.

  12. You post actually scares me. This issue is underlooked and is I think this is potentially a LSRP killer. If LSRP falls, this may not be the main reason but must be one of the main reasons. I am scared, concerned and worried. EDIT: What I will say does not represent any factions or anybody. But I am told that my friends in those factions share the same thoughts but are hesitating to say it publicly, but I will say it. I disagree with your reasoning of passive police roleplay. Passive police roleplay will only happen after police roleplayers had enough fun of the main stream RP, aka pursuits and shootouts. What is so fun about police? Shootout and pursuits. Now we axed pursuits. Many people will prove me wrong but, tell me why SEB / SWAT is always more than 50% of online LEO playerbase? Just check ts.ls-rp.com:9988 and you'll find the statistics. Somehow, LSRP thought having a pursuit line chasing a car with normal speed for hours is realistic so they axed most PITs, interceptions and boxing. Then they thought well, chasing for long is bad so supervisors will not terminate pursuits if it goes for too long for too tiny reasons. Is it fun? I do not find it fun. I avoid most of the pursuits, really. A shootout is basically a torture for anyone that's not directly firing or SWAT/SEB. A barricaded suspect requires police officers and deputy sheriffs to stand outside guarding and watching the screen and basically staring while SWAT/SEB go inside and roleplay. In worse scenarios, random player will come to you and ask you very repetitive questions or just drive pass it, ruining the immersion and giving you burdens. In terms of the reasoning of Investigative roleplay in shambles, I have a lot to say about it. Let's first talk about how does a Detective win. Based on my experience, I can conclude two ways of detective roleplays. One is script-win and another is collective-win. Script-win is you use the scripts to locate the suspect and apprehend the suspect, without needing the suspects' OOC cooperation. Collective-win is when the suspect roleplays with you, PMs you non-script evidence and leads to their own conviction. What is more demotivating when you write 2,000 words in your investigative report, you do everything perfectly but the suspect CKs, doesn't respond to you, voids the situation and whatsoever? Another topic I want to say is Play-to-Win mentality. If Anti Play-to-Win works, why our PD/SD plays Robber/Cop servers when free? Play-to-win is a good concept but we took it wrong. We are taking Play-to-Win to an extreme where we are basically "Playing to lose". From a PLAYERS' perspective, if the suspect breaks the rule, we /ff. If the suspect non-rp drives, we /ff. If the suspect fails to RP and whatsoever, we /ff. We have unlimited free guns and cars doesn't entitle us to /ff everytime. How are we expecting our people to do passive roleplays and be passionate about passive roleplays when the needs for aggressive and active are not fulfilled?
