  1. Drug dealing/trafficking Guide for STREET GANGS Drug dealing and trafficking is one of the most popular things to get involved in when you're doing gang roleplay, but the issue begins at this specific point where people force people into drug dealing to prove themselves and treat their gang factions like its an entire Drug Trafficking Organization (DTO) which is somewhat unrealistic in that sense as not everyone involved in gang politics in Los Angeles are also involved in the drug game. In fact you'd be quite surprised, a lot people want to stay away from the drug game due to the bullshit it brings with it and instead a lot of gang members resort to fraud, robberies, burglaries, etc. Now, there's a difference, in what I said as well... people normally stay away from large scaled drug ops in gangs but a pretty hefty number of people probably deal drugs on low scales such as dimebags, eighths, halves, etc. Main issue is when it comes to selling bricks and stuff, and since LS-RP has always worked with ounces; we'll use 3 or more ounces as a starter point for this then. Normally when people get involved in drugs inside of street gangs, it's selling petty amounts but deep inside normally lies a secondary foundation of big time drug dealers and trafficking (depending on the connections) within that gang. The reason I'm emphasizing this is important, because the moment you're brought into that side of the drug game a simple fuck up can land you six feet deep. Street gangs are already cutthroat to the bone as it already is, but when you involve yourself with big time drug dealers and potentially traffickers within your set then you're accepting an offer from the devil in plain sight. The reason I'm bringing this up, is because a lot of people who do large scaled drug ops inside of street gangs, tend to act like it's either the entire street gang doing it and operate like a full DTO or they ignore the realistic tensions that'd come with it. It's normally a clique inside of a gang with very few people that actually 100% know what's going on when it comes to large drug ops inside of gangs, because of how cutthroat it is and the lack of trust for people. The petty drug amounts that little homies are trapping with, probably come from big homies involved deep in the drug game and it's normally the best drug dealers that sell petty amounts that normally end up being brought inside of the gang's inner circle when it comes down to large scaled drug ops. Now I do want to say this, the drug game inside of street gangs is completely different to actual DTOs or OCGs, and tends to be a lot more grimey. Depending on if it's a Southsider gang or a African-American gang, there might not be any structure inside of the gang and the one with connections to the plugs might be the one that's "influential" at that specific time n place. This is important to remember, because if your gang has no structure and goes off of a generation structure instead of a hierarchy structure, then you could even roleplay having paranoia and trust issues with people because people can get knocked off over a female or some shit in gangs, so when it comes down to drugs it's twice if not thrice as bad as the before example. This guide might not look like your average guide, and might remind you of a mini book or something but I purposely wrote it like this so it's easier to take in everything at once. 2. That's your opinion, sure, and for some people that's true, however; the majority of people we interacted with thoroughly enjoyed roleplaying with the LSFD. We had multiple people who requested LSFD purely for the purpose of developmental roleplay for their characters, regardless of if they had scripted damage or not. While medical roleplay is not for everyone, you can't just skip a medical scene when you're injured simply because it's not your cup of tea. Being shot and robbed by thugs and gangsters isn't a firefighter or police officer's cup of tea, but they still go through those scenarios at times. It's not a one for all kind of server, it's a give and take of simulated realism. Life comes with good and bad times, and while I wouldn't want to be involved in something that led to me being in the care of EMS / Firefighters, it does happen. It's part of life. People like to criticize that which they don't understand, but you can't have civilians without first responders or the server would be pure anarchy and chaos. It's all about balance. Medical and firefighting doesn't have to be someone's favorite topic, but that shouldn't mean our faction members don't get to roleplay at all just because their chosen area of roleplay isn't liked by some people. The only times in over two years of being in LSFD I saw people unwilling to roleplay with us, was if they were salty over being dropped by a rival gang or LEOs. Most other people were very polite, and thanked us for the roleplay afterwards. It's not just about putting out fires and driving people to the hospital. We've had cases of shock, suicide attempts, and even panic or asthma attacks that required medical assistance. We weren't always there to patch bullet holes. As I said, it's a balance. We can't force civilian roleplayers to get injured in unique ways, so the majority of our handled calls are gunshot wounds, or stab wounds, with the occasional MVA we get to handle. We're there to provide pre-hospital care and fire rescue services. Without civilians to rescue, we're redundant. For as long as there are civilian roleplayers, that's as long as first responder factions will be needed.

  3. My experience with this on SAMP (at least gangs): 1. You'd start to investigate a gang, everything would be cool, you'd get some members identified, maybe do a drug bust. 2. You'd want more, start surveillance on key members. Oh they have wallhacks? Well they won't be doing anything while you're there. 3. You'd want to do an arrest or some sort of a search or gang enforcement or anything. Well, there's a problem. The guy you're after is online but your fellow gang detectives are offline. So you have to beg people, do a briefing so it's realistic etc. In the mean time, the guy went in his house to AFK or offline. Better luck next time. 4. You want to investigate how the gang works, who runs what etc. You would realistically need a snitch. Well, let me tell ya, these gangstas in Jefferson DO NOT be snitchin. They'll do time (10 hours max), they don't give no fucks cuhz.... 5. You somehow manage to get a snitch by encountering a good Role Player who is not scared to sacrifice his character (usually those with little to nothing to lose a.k.a outsiders or some sort of a lower rank) and you finally manage to identify the leader. Well, let me tell ya, that leader kinda prefers Role Playing on an alt that is insider so he can shoot, sell drugs, Role Play with lower ranks who are in the majority, the fun stuff. So you can barely EVER catch him online, let alone get a team up (as, at least during my tenure as gang detectives lead, you'd have 5-7 active detectives AT BEST). 6. You fall into this circle of essentially doing gang enforcement work instead of actual detective work. You pat down people that you think may be selling drugs after observing them and pray to God they don't have wallhacks. Bonus facts: 1. It is virtually impossible to actively follow someone somewhere. You will get spotted 10/10 times due to lack of regular traffic, even on a SAMP map that is far smaller than GTA V. 2. If the character you are after has anything of value on him or is in a crowd of 4 or more people, you are almost always ending up in a shootout so you better come prepared. This was the case for everyone, even those regarded as elite Role Players (even some ex members of FT). 3. Punish dumb behavior (for example during gang injunctions people would just not fucking go inside and RP but keep at it like nothing happened) by taking it IC (as you're not an admin) and you'll be called names, you'll be called arrest hungry, shootout hungry, robocop etc. 4. A gang is getting more violent or is involved in drug trade on a larger scale, you get the info about it and decide to give them a bit more intention, you're automatically "not letting them create RP" or "not letting them RP in their hood" and it is frowned upon. In conclusion, anything you do will be judged and aside from everything being very hard to organize even for simple things such as shakedowns and such, it's just not worth it unless you have A LOT of free time. Otherwise it will be just mediocre, you will fall into gang enforcement and not do any real investigative work. Also paperwork was awful lol, you'd spend hours writing a casefile just for you or the person you wrote it on to be PK'd out of it. But maybe something can be done. Thoughts @danielswe @Redz ?

  5. Good job with the editing, but there are far too many postal codes. One code for one house (6147) is completely unnecessary, in my opinion. One postal code in downtown Los Santos should cover at least 3 or 4 blocks. Like from 7150/7149 and to the right to 7142/7141.
