• Two-Factor Authentication and Customer Service:

  • Q. The issue of players locked out due to two-factor authentication should be taken seriously.

  • Q. Consider recognizing long-term players and providing incentives.

  • Q. Grinding should be balanced with roleplay abilities.

• What Makes LSRP Great:

  • Q. LSRP's self-governance and player-driven nature stand out.

  • Q. The server thrived during periods of owner inactivity, relying on exceptional staff members.

• Possible Solutions:

  • Q. Research archived forums for past factions, notable players, and ideal staff members.

  • Q. Seek individuals with social networks outside LSRP to diversify the player base.

  • Q. Temporarily alter rules (i.e lower the robbery level to encourage roleplay.)

• What Can Be Repaired:

  • Q. Encourage players to bring new faces to the server to combat clan warfare ideology.

Thoughts? Suggestions? Examples? Seems like the standards are getting juggled around. Players who want good roleplay create it but are often challenged by other users who aren't as invested in taking on a role seriously or accurately.

Critical issue imho. It’s giving such a bad experience and it’s a demotivating factor for many players that I personally know, that have left LS-RP for this particular reason. They leave in silence, but they’re the true gold that should be kept close. Nothing has been done in regards to this, and the worse part is, I do believe Admins could be implicated in this mess too.

I would love to hear the perspective of staff members holding rankings of stature in our communities point of view or maybe their personal thoughts on a solution? Or if there is an active plan, maybe finding a way to include the general public which does make up the entirety of the server. Consistency is a quality check only staff can reassure and I feel like a less hands on roleplay approach and a more hands on marketing and or building a server wide recruiting strategy would be a great use of staff capabilities. I don't think that the referral system alone is going to be enough to draw in players.

Expecting some to leave from preference is to be expected.

  The problem with MLOs is they can create lag, especially when you try to do exterior mapping somewhere nearby. A perfect example of this was the proximity of Mission Row PD apparently was part of the lag issues when it came to the career fair furnishing

Staff, unlike player, reports are private. That's silly and provokes a "we have investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing" perception. Even if that isn't the case.

In all reality: If the server was more cooperative and horizontally-structured rather than the anemic hierarchy it is today, perhaps there would be a shred of hope for actually working together to rebuild what we used to have in this community. From my recent experience, there are many players in leadership roles who never did anything to deserve those roles and who consistently demonstrate their incompetency in those roles. Meanwhile, people like myself are discouraged from holding any player leadership role because of the constant drama generated by those same incompetent people.

 

That same evaluation is true of a great many staff, many of whom I have great difficulty believing their promotion was based in merit rather than nepotism. The development team, the company team, and certain members of management are the only functioning thing about the staff team in my view - and that is worrying when the staff team is as big as it is. I have said many times - the name of the game is feature parity and cooperation.

This recurring theme has lead to my personal private investigation into the staff team. The results have been as shocking as they have been mutually unsurprising. Very polar opposite thoughts from very predictable discovery. 

 

Let me shed some light on the following staff members contributions and their personal behaviors. 

 

Based on my digging. It looks like a bunch of people who are friends have found a way to monopolize the play environment. Furthermore my personal analysis comes to the conclusion a bunch of faction hoppers are in the most important roles to exist.

While I understand your frustration, going as far as saying that certain community members in their leadership roles are incompetent seems like a jab at said members in those positions. Regardless of whether specific community members were named or not, please refrain from making comments such as this. Everybody that was placed in the positions they’re in were placed there for good reason. I don’t think it’s anyone’s intention to simply “bump” someone to a position, be it in a faction or the staff team, out of popularity. This isn’t something that we go for and if you believe it’s happening, it should be reported.
