Unrelated from this topic but yeah lol, if you reaaally wanna put something like that you gotta mask it as being a community leader or something, bringing up video games in a serios manner in real world scenarios is almost always a turn off - job, relationships, family and all. Reddit is the same.

On the flip side to that, I actually put on my CV that I worked for LS-RP for 2 years doing TypeScript, dealing with both SQL and NoSQL databases, web frameworks and NestJS, and I got a fair few offers of employment off the back of that. I would never accept pay for work on LS-RP though, as being paid means having an obligation to deliver. My only obligation to perform well in dev for LS-RP is to myself, and if I'm paid, suddenly I become responsible for delivering a product to deadlines and I don't want that. I would rather not be paid and have the option to not spend hours on it.

I never played LSRP on GTA V cause of the way development was handled.

If I'm petty enough for that, probably a good chunk of the population felt the same way.

Pretty much this...

The main reason the server declined was due to the lack of script features, that simple. It wasn't the marketing, a 'bad' admin team, the economy, although they apply to some players and their reason for departing, the main reason was the development. Players simply got bored of the barebones script and decided to move onto other things.  We're just now getting certain QOL (Quality of Life) changes and features that should have been in the script day one.

But with the recent activity from the devs, even MMartin dropping snippets, the roadmap that gives players a idea on what's being developed, shows they are trying to make a turn around for the server and getting back serious about things. The server can still return to it's prime, but they have to stay consistent with the updates and communication. When 1.8 released, there were a lot of players, former and current, browsing the forums and in game, so people are definitely still interested. While it was a great update, it just wasn't enough to bring everyone back and keep them engaged. DEVS GOTTA KEEP COOKING, BRING THE HYPE BACK!!!111

Here's a good marketing tactic. Get all the emails you had signed up on the previous forums, and send them emails of LS-RP on GTA V, once a week. This should get you players, email marketing is one of the most successful tactics to this day as everyone checks their emails. Do this, you will see a surge in playerbase, believe me.
